Old times, lefthanded used to be something from the devil. Muahuahuahua
But the Entity rathers righthanded. She is not friend with the devil, you see...
-
Huntress and Clown are ambidextrous. So, they use their left hand with precision.
-
I laugh a lot when i get stunned by Head On.
And when I know the survivir is there, i laugh even more.
Thats a way to deal with that. :D
-
Lets make Umbreakable only activates if you had... oh, nothing is required, but getting downed by killer...
So lets make Adrenaline only activates at the end game if... oh, nothing is required but the gens done by teammates...
But, well, lets make Sprint Burst only work if... no, wait, no requisites but start to run...
What about Boil Over? Yes! You must be downed and taken on killer shoulders to activate... looks like no skillful requisite...
And Sabotage? First you taunt the killer and them you... oh no, you can sabotabe at will...
Lets talk about self care. First you heal at least 1 survivors and then... oh no, no requisites for that also...
This BHVR is not doing things right! Perks without any skillful gameplay to activate? Its lame!
Wake up is preposterous! Wich skillful gameplay is required to see the hatch's aura if all team was dead before gens are done? None. It cant be!
BHVR, how dare you...
Heads Up without getting in the locker during a chase? This is an offense to any skillful action of the survivor!
And what about Distortion? OMG, it should only get active if the survivor got into a locker 3x to avoid aura reading! Of course... a skillful survivor will aways suppose the BBQ or another aura reading perk.
...
Oh, BHVR, my sarcasm is so deep, but its just sarcasm. Maybe im not a skillful sarcasm user, so i cant use the sarcarm perk. Sorry. But i hope devs will understand my statement. Nerf me, please!

Maybe because they are the best perks for the meta playstyle of eliminating the killer's pressure? I mostly agree with you though, there are other good perks for other good playstyles.
Thats an explanation. Tks.
-
I am using this to improve my gameplay as killer. Never got so many 360, dribles, 180, loops... in the beggining its hard. But then you learn.
But, im a devotion 7 player. Dont know how a starter may deal with this.
-
I second this.
I used to watch a killer main streamer that DC when a survivor DC, cause the match got unfair. If its a desire from the killer not to accept an unfair match cause a DC, so he should be able to do that.
-
Just... why the HECK is this called META perks at all??? Just cause a massive number of players use that? So, lets eat crap, cause billions of flies do that!!!
Really, stop calling this specific strategy perk build as META. Its META only for whom fits to its gamestyle. And a ton of players dont.
This topic should be un-pinned...

Doc add-ons that inflicted Exhaustion to Survivors with madness were changed to reversing the direction of Skill Checks.
Tks
Oh, so, as killer, i would prefer the exhaustion. It looks like a nerf, nevertheless its a rework...
And the OP is complaining... LOL
-
Is there a reverse skill check now in the game? Almost 2 years playing and never saw that...
Its a new reworked Doctors addon?

Also please let me know of any hidden rules that i don't know about that I'm breaking. I honestly don't know how to change my play style because the game naturally plays this way sometimes. I also started watching videos and fast reading guides while the game makes matches for me.
I just got out of a game. I suck as a player. Last few games I've been doing better and finally leveled up skill in both survivor and killer for the first time in 2 weeks since i first started 2 weeks ago. Keep in mind i had to slave away in survivor to do some of the tomb.
I only started playing killer MUCH MORE today because i finally finished a couple survivor tombs and was tired of playing survivor.
The survivors were acting weird in this game. I was playing wraith. The very first survivor i caught was up against a building wall outside and i moved up to them and uncloaked and attacked. After this all the survivors started i guess what you guys call T-Bagging the pallets. This survivor did that and i just played into it because this was the first sign that i was automatically going to get taunted for the whole game. So of course i go up to the pallets and they wait till the last second to move and i attack and get stunned coming out of the cloak. So i assume just by being Wraith I'm going to start having bad games every time i play that killer. I should just not play him?
Assume for the rest of the game all Survivors T-Bagged and stun cloaked me every pallet.
Anyways i eventually catch first person and put on hook. This is what surprised me. I wasn't even trying to what is called "Camping" the hook. its just i had the perk that increases your vision by so many points so when ever i tried to leave the hook alone for a bit i would see them in the corner of my vision and turn back to stop them from taking the survivor down. Now obviously I'm trying to take down every survivor one by one so when i find 2 people I'm going for the hurt one to increase my chances of killing 4. Anyways they keep coming back, I keep trying to leave but see them, I turn back and attack. I tried to leave to patrol other Generators but kept seeing them hiding someplace and i would go to attack them.
I eventually got all of them and they only did 1 or 2 Generators... Sometimes I've even found their red running marks or bleeding marks and followed them back to the hooks of other survivors. This was only the second time that i got to kill 4 people in the 2 weeks or so that i've been playing. (First time was luck with Trapper since they 3 Gen themselves and i didn't realize they 3 Gen till i didn't have to run to the other side to patrol).
I got sent a message by one of the xbox 1 users that were taunting me. (am i not allowed to expose people on here? I want to provide maybe half a name with the rest being"***********"). They sent me this message "TRASH" in my xbox messages. I explained to them that i didn't know what i did to deserve being taunted and that i don't play killer that often. They replied "LOL". I reassured them I'm Level 11, Skill 20 Killer. Only played killer to do tombs. I explained i was surprised they kept coming back to the hooks. That i had tried to leave the hooks but they kept coming back too soon and i would see them. Only playing to get better at the game cause i suck.
Is it my fault that they kept coming back?
Am i supposed to ignore them and pretend i didn't see them and go for other people?
Should i not attack the survivor thats hurt and go for the healthier survivor?
Should I should just not play Wraith?
Also why are we not allowed to Report people for disconnecting? How should we report that? I had people disconnect and I've reported them because it makes the game much more difficult to play as a Survivor. I had someone disconnect supposedly in the loading screen to the game after i had waited for 5-10 (I know this because i watch Youtube guides that are 10-20 minutes long) minutes for a game after i had loaded in as a Trapper for like 10 seconds. It wouldn't say who disconnected in the loading screen in the rewards screen. I had to wait for another 5-10 minutes for another game. Just as aggravating when the killer disconnects.
And what does it mean when the Survivors stick around at the exit gates or hatches and run me around? Are they taunting me? I attack them anyway. Am i sending them some unknown message that i'm an ######### since i attacked them at the gate? Are they giving me free points for a hit?(you get points for just hitting a survivor?). Should i calmly approach the gate if i see them there and slowly approach to let me hit them? I get this ALOT and don't know how to react to that.
- Also please explain what these are?
- Slugging
- Tunneling
- Streamsniping
- Bodyblocking
- Looping
- Tapping generators with ruin
I know i suck as a survivor and killer but I'm trying my best to get better. Since there is no way to talk to in game please help me improve here in the forums.
Toxic players will aways feel offended.
Healthy players know that its a game and sometimes you can get frustated and accept it.
-
Oh, i never DC. I said that others players arent DCing since yesterday and this is making me happier as surv and killer. :D
Sorry if I wrote in a confusing way.
Yeah, i think that theyve done well adding accidental DC to DC punishment, so there is no room for exploit.
-
Tks for the answer!
Well, and tks God its not only one minute.
The diference is enormous. Aint got no DC since yesterday.
Tks BHVR.

Why dont all survivors just run DS, BT, DH and Adren/Unbreak ?
Excluding not owning the DLC's obviously.
Personally im not try hard enough to do it, I know how powerful it is but in my years of gaming I have found many many MANY players do gravitate towards that which just gives them the biggest advantage.
So yeah, why dont you run that build all the time?
Because all those perks suppose ill be seen or catch by the killer. I rather a stealth gameplay and trust in my (improving) skills in a chase.
My META are SC, Spine Chill and Distortion. The fourth may be one of those OP said, depending on a specific tatic (challenges, daily rituals, SWF, etc) or my day's mood. But can be a lot of another ones, not only those.
DH is not a META, imo. As killer, i just wait for it. Yeah, so the survivor got 2 seconds more of chase. Not a real gain. When they are capable to use it to get to a pallet, use to be a survivor good already without the perk.
DS, as killer, if i wanna, I just go after the survivor and them they go down. But i use to let the survivor go, cause i dont like to tunnel, and usually i dont remeber whom i downed one minute ago. So its as effective as i let unhooked survivors go. Not a META.
BT, the same thing. I dont chase the unhooked if he doesnt come up to me. So, useless against me. But i recognize its a META perk for a team work focused in rescuing at all costs.
Adren/Umbr are not METAs. One activates only once and in the end game. Most matches, it doesnt matter to me as survivor. Umbr can surpass slugging, but as killer i dont slug (so its a useless perk to the survivors) and as survivors I dont use to be slugged enough to make this a META.
-
Yeah, SWF Voice Comm is the supreme perk of this game.
And imo whom defends it use to be survivor-only or survivor-main. Nevertheless i know some survivors-only that do not do Voice Comm, the incapacity to understant how SWF Voice Comm is overhelming and frustating to killers tatic and playstyle is somehow proof of self-centeredness.

The most distressing thing about SWF, imo, is how it just throws in the garbage any stealth gameplay.
The other day, i was doing the grab challenge with Myers Tier 1. But everytime i was about to get to someone, the surv knew i was coming... but what the heck! Its tier 1 Myers, no perk detects him! But a survivor far away saw me going into the house...
SWF is the supreme perk.
The thing is the same with Pig. I cant stop a chase to go to a gen that discordance poped up. The time i turn to the new target, the survivors just get away. And in the post game screen there was no killer detection perks...
I mean, SWF Voice Comms are waaay frustating. When I play SWF, thats rarely, i dont use voice parties. Because its not fair with the killer, and cause part of games excitement is reading the match rythm.
I think SWF is a problem that cant be adressed. Killers tatics will be frustated match after match. And ppl like to play with friends. Some cant stand a solo match, find it "too boring", but maybe they just miss the "extra OP SWF Voice Comm perk".
There are so many issues about SWF Voice Comm... its so unfair... but it will remain in the game forever and ever...
-
As survivor, my prefered item is a map, to do totems and finding hatch. And i go after all 5 of them. So, no NOED in the end. I deserved it.
And when i cant do that, NOED adds an extra tension and excitement in the end. "Does the killer have NOED? OMG! I must have extra care and go for the escape, or else find the totem before going to a hook rescue in EGC if its confirmed." Or just escape, wich is another counter to NOED.
I dont wanna a heads up that a NOED is on. Hit me or someone else and them we know. Nice. Fearsome.
---
As killer, I use NOED only when I want a special end game or if I dont have any perk that fits my play style, wich is not letting the gens be done and finding survivors. Plus the "special perk for each killers power".
If I use it, and it was on, im being rewarded for survivors mistake or limitation. And thats valid. The need for a "skillfull" playing to activate a end game totem perk makes no sense...
There is no reward for doing nothing, its a perk, not an "un-perk". Sometimes you can get into one or two chases and all gens are done and you made no mistakes as killer, played very well. So you must be punished cause of that? No. Anyway, even if didnt play well, the argue stands. So as killer you chose that if the game comes to all gens done, you can get kills more easily, if the survivors dont cleanse totems.
I find very fun when the survivors escapes from my NOED, when I use it. They managed to do that, even with hooked mates. They cleansed the totem in the end, just before a hit to a survivor. Cool! Thats the spirit! There you go. GG.
---
So, from both roles, NOED is just fine.
Besides, NOED stands for No One Escapes Death, and not "No One Embraces Death". (Final joke, cleanse totem for no final jokes).
-
Well, BHVR is not responding to anything we say about cooldown nurse. I think Nurse will stay as she is now... forever. Or they will nerf her again, when/if Nurse players get too good with her as she is now.
The absence of any response is a bad signal for us. Plus, as they've just nerfed her, they wont work on her again.
But the ideas brought to this topic are great. Sadly, they wont implement none.
For starters, the Nurses nerf came out of the blue, at least to me. No heads up, just an update and there you go, Cooldown Nurse arrived.
And I dont like the addons. They are worse than before, nevertheless i never used an addon. Now, you add 1 more blink, and cant go thru walls!!! Or, you hit someone and become a... M1 killer!
But i second the topic. I think its important to try at least to get BHVR attention. Nurse now is a baby killer with easy counterplay. No fun to play with, no fun to play against, as I already said...
She lost even her map pressure. She moves slow and cant blink freely to cross the map. So she lost the surprise factor.
I am adapting to the changes. But as I call her now, the Cooldown Nurse cant go much further. The Nerf was overkill in each and every aspect.
Again... an addon that makes you blink only to where you can see... is it really an useful power? Who plays Nurse blinking only to where can see? Isnt the central idea of blinking that you can go thru anything? How about the guessing and mindgames?
Some addons are good or great now, like the no terror zone one, but I think they got out of ideas when made 3 addons for extra BP...

Thanks you all for the answers.
I am the kind that wanna complete a challenge as fast as I can. But i wanna it to be fun to others players... but sometimes, I choose to make sure I'll complete the challenge. Sometimes, i dont - like not escaping to try a hook save in EGC and die together with the hooked, so nobody leaves and i dont escape for the escaping challenge.
But, as harder i think the challenge will be, more harsh will be my gameplay.
And sometimes the challenge just push me away from objectives. As opening chests, i dont care about gens until I check all chests are opened... In the EGC sacrifice challenge, i almost left the survivors to pop gens, but giving then a "soft play" to make things at least a little fun. And then, when one gen was left, I tunneled and camped one survivor to get the challenge done.
I mean... when its a past Tome, I dont care about quickly doing challenges and I play normally. But when its the current Tome and its counting towards the Rift, I wanna go fast in the grinding.
Nevertheless, i rather the Tome and Rift thing than old events, wich could cause much more harsh playing, with objectives focused in one side frustating the other side to get the event points.
-
In the beggining, a new killer will think bad about Claudette. Then, game after game, match after match, he will discover the Nea factor. So now he knows the real threat. :(
Laurie is just a char with bad taste for clothes.
But yeah, until the DS rework, Lauries should get a more agressive killer playing.

@JnnsMu said:
Feral Frenzy, the Legion's power, has a bunch of drawbacks. Some of them do not make any sense. This is my attempt to categorize them and maybe get some of them removed.
First, we have the drawbacks that essentially make sense but aren't appropriate considering how weak Feral Frenzy is right now:
- You can not see survivors' scratch marks and blood pools in Feral Frenzy
- Missing an attack ends Feral Frenzy
- Feral Frenzy can not be activated unless the power gauge is filled completely
- The cooldown animation when coming out of Feral Frenzy is extremely long
- The Deep Wound timer does not go down while running or mending
These next ones don't make any sense to me because Feral Frenzy wouldn't be cheesy or even noticably more powerful without these drawbacks. They are just annoying to Legion players and especially weird for new players to wrap their heads around:
- While in Feral Frenzy, hitting a survivor that is already afflicted with Deep Wound ends Feral Frenzy and drains the power gauge completely
- Hitting a survivor while Feral Frenzy is not active depletes the power gauge by 50% of its maximum
When the Legion was released, they could actually down survivors with their power so some drawbacks were necessary. However, Feral Frenzy is one of the weakest powers in the entire game right now, even when used perfectly. Even removing all of these drawbacks would probably only push the Legion into high mid-tier. It is just baffling to me how one of the weakest killers in the entire game can simultaneously have the most significant power drawbacks.
So please, for the sake of making the Legion at least somewhat viable, remove the last 2 drawbacks I mentioned and maybe one or two of the ones mentioned above those. I can't imagine that being too hard to code.
I think ending Feral Frenzy if you miss the hit is overkill.
I have all killers, and Legion is somehow "meh" to play just cause of that: "so ill only use his power if i dont miss", its basically a M1 killer. How much can that happen in a match that you miss the first hit? A lot.
-
They are constantly improving RNG and places for totems. But sometimes, that happens... and we are far from perfection. But some maps have pretty good totem places, as Suffocation Pit.
Imo, ill keep using then, if useful for the specific killers strategy. But i aways use then supposing will be cleansed at some point in the game. So i get more happy when they arent.
-
I just remembered something ive read about the next RE game. It will be a "dbd" style game: survivors against killer, pvp only.
Yeah, dbd created an entire style of game, and looks like that RE owners rather to make their own pvp survival terror than let dbd get their killers or survivors.
So, for now, i think RE is not a viable option in DBD.
And i think its a bad move from RE developers, as much as Jasons game was. Keep it simple. Keep it as it works. Dbd works. Its not like FPS games that have an easy formula to copy and just change graphics and storyline. Dbd has a complex game dynamics and too much variables. BHVR has an unique "know how" after 4 years. Other pvp survival terrors, tho, try to invent too much to be different from dbd, turning then into failed games.

Ive noticed that those rank 1-8 survivors are quite more easy to play against then with the old matchmaking. My rank actually has no influence at all, but i think the new matchmaking is somehow working fine.
As killer, i get good survivors, but im not owned. As survivor, i get good killers, but im not owned. Matches look like more even now. And that, imo, shows that rank doesnt matter, and that the new matchmaking is more accurate when comparing players skills.

It's either an error or Renjiro isn't technically a Samurai, yet he's seen battling Kazan and literally throwing the match after he also lands the killing blow on his son.
In a sense, I think the lore misses that part for some reasons, or maybe the legend didn't really start with Renjiro (Which it didn't) and instead began with Kazan due to his legend of being seen as an Oni in battle.
But again, this is also put into question since Rin even mentions in her new lore pieces that she hoped to be as great of a warrior like Renjiro and Kazan, implying Renjiro has a legacy of his own. (These lore pieces are from her "Steeped in Blood" Archive pages for Tome ll Level 1 and 2)
Also, you could say that Renjiro was mentioned because he's Kazans father, but she literally mentions him as a "great warrior", so it's hard to say he doesn't have a legend if she also refers to him as a great warrior as well. I mean, Renjiro literally almost killed Kazan, quite easily I might add, but he held back because Kazan is literally his son... so in the end Renjiro lost because he showed mercy for his own son who didn't even know it was his father under that suit of armor, not until the end of the fight anyways.
In a sense, It's hard to say if this was an error by BHVR or it has another meaning behind it.
Good points.
-
Yeah, hes more extra-dimensional than alien. Maybe if they bring a xenomorph (if i got the meaning of this word right), they will maybe try the Predator or the Alien. Cause, for instance, Stranger Things is more a sci-fi than a terror series... actually, its not a terror series. So, Predator and Alien are fit for the job. :) imo
-
Reading the lore, looks like Kazan is the first great samurai, but he is son of another Yamaoka, wich is his father.

They can, and do. There have always been DC penalties in place, but most people don't notice them because you only get banned if you DC from 80% of your games, and nothing before that. The new system will punish players to varying degrees every time they DC, so it will hopefully be a lot more effective overall, but it only works on dedicated servers. If you're asking why the new system isn't in place yet, the devs said that they had run into some issues but are still working on getting them out as soon as possible.
Nice.

BBQ is a must have with his teleport hability.
New Ruin + Survillance is a great combo now, that I prefer rather than old Ruin. And if you use that addon that makes all gens spell blood when you teleport, you can get exactly where it is at least one survivor doing gen.
Players must use, as killer or survivor, the best options either to get objectives done and to have fun.
But complaining is aways a right from ppl in the forum. :)
