Why do people hate laurie so much?
I dont get it! So many youtubers and streamers hate Laurie. Like today, I was doing a gen. I'm never toxic, never use 'toxic' perks and I dont troll. This rank 3 Trapper targets me and only me, then let's everyone leave. This is discrimination!!

Happens to a lot of players, I got specifically targeted for using Claudette my one and only P3-50 Survivor, it mostly just boils down to Survivor Stereotypes and the Killers distaste for said Survivor due to past experiences from... less desirable players to play against.
Yeah my laurie is P3-50 and my only survivor with all and good perks.
Essentially speaking because of other players actions it gives our Survivors a bad name, hence why some Killers detest Survivors like Laurie and Claudette for the behavior of toxic players that played with those Killers in the past, essentially making them believe that all Survivors that use those characters are also toxic.
Or it could be because Claudette is referred to as "Blendette" because she's really hard to see in bushes, dark parts of the map, etc, and it doesn't help that Survivors abuse this by using her brown clothes pre-sets in the store.
In addition to the above, it's also because killers hate Decisive Strike and Object of Obsession, both of which tend to be used the most by Laurie players because they're her perks. So they may choose to target a Laurie to get her out of the game as soon as possible just based on the assumption that she has one or both of those equipped.
I think it's personally just general toxicity that players tend to associate with certain Survivors like Laurie and Claudette, yes it might be cause of their perks they come with but I mostly only see Lauries use perks outside of their teachables for the most part, unless it's to be intentionally "toxic" to the Killer, in which case they use DS... but if they're planning to act that way than they would use DS for any Killer they frequently use.
She has some of the most hated perks in the game by some sadly. Yes that is enough reason for some people to target you.
Debatable if that's why he was targeted because of her teachables, I think it's mostly from the past experience of a distasteful player that caused this to happen.
That was the case for me when I got targeted once for just playing Claudette, too many disrespectful Claudettes will make some Killers just assume that every Claudette acts that way... it's the same thing with Bubba, a lot of people camp with Bubba so much that everyone just automatically assumes they'll get camped/proxy camped as a result.
That's why I said "in addition to the above". There are multiple reasons why different killers might dislike Laurie, but the prevalence of her teachable perks is definitely one of them. Doesn't mean all killers who target Lauries do it for that reason, but there are some who do.
In the beggining, a new killer will think bad about Claudette. Then, game after game, match after match, he will discover the Nea factor. So now he knows the real threat. :(
Laurie is just a char with bad taste for clothes.
But yeah, until the DS rework, Lauries should get a more agressive killer playing.

I think all Survivors honestly have their own share of bad rep, Jake used to be the Sabo King, Claudette is the stealth master, Nea is usually seen as toxic, Dwight is the locker king, etc.
It's all Survivor Stereotypes that're created by youtubers or the community after awhile, either from themselves creating it through their characters or the memes people create from seeing it happen a lot.
