I'm pretty sure the Common BP offerings cost more than they give in bonus BP
Well i dont use all of them
Like the ones i know i may not fullfill to 8000 BP i will not use (like the escape one for surv, or the one for using your power while playing Pig) but the ones like do gens, brutality and chase are usually fullfilled
But yes, the Brown ones arent worth much BP, but you have to get some of them ayway while leveling up à char, so instead of not usint them, might as well use them

All the BP offerings except for Pudding and Party Streamers are pretty limited usefulness, considering they don't let you go over the 32000 point cap, and besides there's no reason why I wouldn't do that AND run BBnChili
By just using Brown offerings for BP and no BBQ i was able to get to the 1mil within two to three days
Focus solely on the grind and youll just end up unhappy
-
You know you gain more bloodpoints by using all these offering you never use?
Try that, it may help ya

it literally does nothing but reward people who face camp, considering full health window grabs got removed why do these still exsist?
To not make an unhook super safe and not counterable??
If you think it rewards à camping killer let me tell you 2 things
-learn to dodge the grab/team up to unhook
-the killer will mostly get à dedicated hit instead anyway
-
Each killer got some kind of counterplay
If you find leatherface too strong cause he revs the chainsaw in yoir face, its your fault for letting him get this close
Nurse you gotta break LoS and be unpredictable
Oni you gotta get him into spots he cant easily curve with his power, etc etc
Yet youre basically asking to have infinites back in the game, the one thing that had no counterplay to begin with ??
The hold W start is strong because for an average survivor its better then à poor loop (run, get à window or paller, make distance and run) as it COUNTERS à lot of killers or play style while being effective
I uust think you didnt played enough hours in the game tbh

I think its cause they changed something with their MMR system...
Like it was bad before, but now i fight à good surv team that destroys me in one match, and the next one im with some sub 20H survivors for no reason

Honestly some people should play Civ5, or better yet get a life.
Kind of sad when they are constantly complaining about a game they supposedly hate, but are on it every single day.
Is it that bad to complain about stuff that get changed in a game that you have played over 4years, where i used to be able to play day long with à lot of fun, while seing it slowly get mushed into a boring game/gameplay, until the point where i dont even wanna play more then à fiew hours ?
I love this game, but what the devs are doing with it... what BHVR is doing with it, isnt going in the right direction for me
The game was at its best shape 2-3 years ago (around the 2nd and 3d anniversary)

I find it rather a odd system at least for grading purposes.
I can play a perfect game and stomp survivors, but because i didn't earn many points i dont rank up.
Or i can verse newbies and farm them for points which in turn helps me rank up. But playing good doesn't.
You know that grades dont have anything to do woth MMR right ?

Pretty sure it would be, but I didn't get a recording.
When i see surv starting to do this when they are loosing and i cant find anyone after 2+ mins, i start à record just in case i wanna report them
-
He is an M1 killer as long as he didnt got at least 1 hit in, so just predrop the pallets and youll be able to wzste ton of time with small looping, with à good surv team hes easy to counter and beat

It became the meta so whatever

Totems are fine as they are.
As for your comment on the newest boon Exponential being broken, I completely disagree. It's very under powered considering that you need a lot of criteria to be met. You need to be in its range when you get downed, the killer to NOT pick you up immediately, and for the killer to not know the boon is there. If any one of these conditions aren't met, exponential is useless to you.
As for boons being broken in general, I disagree with that as well. Survivors only typically know where 1 or 2 dull totem locations are in the map per trial, so they're gonna keep casting the boons on the same ones. This can also work as a catch 22 in the killer's favor, as he'll know where to apply pressure on map.
Boons are strong and easy to abuse, if you only know 2 totem spawns per map, maybe look harder? They arent hard to miss or find out, or even to learn
The new boon is weak for à solo, but very strong in swf where, if you play with à flashlight and get downed in the open, the killer will have to lose time to get the other surv that can lead you to get up, or he risks the flashy save
Over all Boon are too strong for SWF and weak for solos but CoH is very strong for everyone and easy to abuse
-
Boons are too strong and easy to abuse, especially CoH
They should work with à token system where to recover à boon token after placing it you gotta do something tied to it (for exemple: heal another survivor to recover à token of CoH)
And they shouldnt just break the hex under it, but "block it" which would create à situation where the surv choses to either boon the hex but the killer can get it back, or destroy the hex but the killer cant get it back at the loss of the totem
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
Yeah, they clearly hate the side which did receive a lot of Buffs over the last 5 years and favor the side which gets nerfed for 5 years. CoH is the first Perk which is actually Meta after the release of David. Clearly, shows how much they favor Survivors.
I would not even compare Hexes and Boons, the only thing which they have in common is that they have some glowing flame at a Totem. And thats it. Hexes dont need to be build up for 14 seconds like Boons, Hexes are not heard from miles away, Hexes work map-wide.
I am pretty sure they will nerf Boons at some point, but please at least dont complain about Survivors running the same Perks all the time if you shoot against that one Perk that made people change their Builds.
Right, because having à strong perk that Can be abused by good survivors is justified as long as it changes 1 perk of the 6 meta (and in swf it can be only 1 of the 16)
How about nerfing the super strong perk that can be abused while buffing the weaker ones to make them viable to use?
Oh i guess surv probably wont use them anyway, they arent second chances that can stack right ?
There are already à lot of very good survivor perks, but since theybdont give à second chance if they ######### up, well surv players often say they are weak and dont use them
-
@Gottlos said:
It's a cool perk idea but with the boon meta, it is rarely useful.
If it kept its current status of can only rekindle broken bones once but could rekindle boons infinitely it would make the survivor have to choose to boon or break and give it some viability.
That would be super fun ngl
And it gives the killer an idea or reason to find that damn boon

Well, the real question is, how well are you actually playing her. Since unless you're landing every single crow hit already whenever it's off cooldown, you still have room to improve with her.
I'm looking forward to see actual artist main play her at high level in a month or two. I bet it will be a joy to watch or at least I hope.

Its not an invincibily since the teammate that loops within 16 meters is a moron that make 2 survivors not doing objectives. The gameplay is boring for survivors since they can't do #########. The main problem is now!
Think about it that way:
The guy "camped" is on the hook
Another one loops Bubba nearby as an M1 killer in a safe Gym/pallet or what ever
The guy got camaraderie
2 sruvs will be enough then to do the gens as long as the other guy loops, or runs away heals and comes back you know?
-
@Faulds said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2670078#Comment_2670078
I don't think it would be game breaking, and its not supposed to be an invincibility against bubba either: just actually allowing a survivor to try and go for the save; what no one can do now.
But it will be an invincibility
If Buba hooks in a loop or jungle gym, suddently the survivor around will become à safe heaven to loop as he becomes an M1
Beside it would mean à Borrowed time rescue would just make the escape sure everytime
Or he would just stick near the survivor and wait to chainsaw him, making the gameplay even more boring for everyone
-
Because disabling killer powers near hooks would just get abused by the player?
Running toward à hook would make it safer fpr you to avoid the chainsaw
Andbit would mean Bubba would just camp from affar
Beside what would happen of he uses his chainsaw while going toward the hook ? He just get stopped out of nowhere?
Nah bad idea tbh

Mostly End game perks (Noed Rancor Blood warden, STBFL)
Some match change to full M1 (Sloppy, Franklin, STBFL, Unrelenting)
Or full pallet counter.
Usually I set 3-4 traps around an area 25% map before I pick traps and get to another area. Usually in chase, i can control them to run into traps zone and hooks start fro there. Sometimes random survivor step on traps too.
But recently, all I heard was disarm trap noti. Even at places that hard to expect. Perks dont matter when you start game with losing 3-4 Gen for traps setup and all traps disarmed.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2668316#Comment_2668316
Which addon doesnt matter, even if I use Honing stone and Iri stone, its pointless if they never step on traps.
Bloody coil may have some use. But they will heal 30sec later with Boon, if Im not there to make a chase instantly
Have you tried like, seeting up à 3 gen, placing traps in unknown/unoredictable places, use corrupt and deadlock and use the faster set up add ons?

I think that there will come a point where the roster of purchasable characters is so large that they really should either make it go free to play, or start giving more killers + survivors out for free with purchase of the base game, without raising the price for the base game any.
Is it there yet? Ehhhh. But it will get there at some point.
It already is to this point, most of the DLCs cost 10 bucks to unlock à killer and à survivor
And they got skins for 5-10 bucks
The game should be free to play
BHVR is super greedy

Not at all. It could be used to create near-hostage situations (due to massively increasing the bleedout timer) and in some cases (like Freddy's mori) would cause those who suffer with epilepsy to have a seizure.
This was probably one of the funniest and ONLY bms Killer could do
Fun is obviously subjective so there's no reason to attempt to argue there, but only BM? Facecamping at 5 gens? Hitting on hook (most likely one)? Bodyblocking in a corner? There's definitely more than just "lol let me increase your bleedout timer by 3x for no reason you looped me so you deserve this".
and yes. that's actual reasoning i've heard someone give live.
Your point is valid tbh
But if we are talking epilepsy... did they take out the possibility to have à Flashlight makro to flash the light quivkly in less then half à second? Cause thats also dangerous

Dont worry, when VHS hit the steam store officially BHVR will probably start to do stuff again

Yeah, exactly.
It took me a few years to accept this direction in terms of balancing, but I do think fun is important for the reasons you stated and eventually just agreed with it.
---
Though, ironically, I would argue that tunneling and camping are becoming more common because of this balance direction and is counteracting their efforts in making games more fun and carefree.
I say that because I myself used to actively avoid tunneling and camping even when infinites were a thing in 2016, but now I advocate them as a killer to be as efficient as possible because of the time handicaps I feel subjected to lately.
Which is funny because you'd think I'd have been under more pressure when infinites were a thing and generators technically went faster. Maybe the skill level in players has just increased that much, or maybe I've just finally cracked under the pressure.
It's even more comical when you consider that when I get tunneled as a killer I still can't help but think to myself "oh a crappy tunnel killer" even though I do the same and understand very well why some would do it.
Thinking on it I'm actually really curious what, if anything, they'll do about camping and tunneling in the future. They'd have to throw killers a bone somehow to relieve the in-game pressure that's on them that motivates them to do it in the first place.
Or maybe they'll just leave it alone and hope everyone gets used to it.
Its funny i feel and do exactly the same as you hahaha (but i really tunnel the least i can in my games)
And for tunnel and camps... wait till the devs bring out Boon: better DS and Boon: better Camaraderie
Since its the direction they are going actually lol
-
@MrsMaliciousX said:
Idk I really don't have a problem with boons, ive been trying to play more killer, but at the same time you win some you lose some. But the amount of camping and tunneling I get in survivor matches is UNREAL, not to mention this "hit validation" ya its a joke. I throw a pallet, killer breaks it then swings and I get downed, ya no thanks, but stuff like that doesn't happen when I play killer.
Every side is gonna have problems no matter what, no one is ever going to be happy. I guess just take the game with a grain of salt, I JUST got back from a 6 month break. It was refreshing to play something else, and I have actually been SORTA having a fun time again, this isn't a game you can just play every single day.
You gotta take breaks, I see where you're coming from tho, But survivors did get nerfed to the ground the past 2 years. So Im not sure what they are trying to do.
Winning and loosing some is fine, really
But playing killer feels over time more and more "tryhard to get at least à 2K" pver time when surv feels more eaqy to play you know?
Boons range from bad to stupidly crazy strong depending the maps and spots and you only need 1 guy carrying Boons per squad for it tp be effective
But all of the latest patch notes only result in killer using one of their last viable starts, tunnel and camp
Gens still fly, they get dedicated over DH now,CoH makes the hit n run strat bad, the new Boon will make slugging bad (in the case you need to make à mass slug)
Over the past years the games only got shorter and more intense, but this only feels to the killer side as i said,
And this is the result of BHVR prefering to balance the game through Perks, add ons and killer power rather then changing the core mechanic (see killers still say the gens fly and what do we get on the next killer? 3 damn perk with some gen slowdown inside, and à strong anti loop killer again)
I can tell you when the running in a line meta will be the strongest for surv, the killers will comz out with powers to catch the surv quickly as a result saddly
-
@Shaped said:
Some of you people play the same game for years without breaks so I can't tell how you operate or what "boring" means to you.
I can't play the same game that long. Even if it is too good it gets boring after a while and I never get back to it.
I am surprised I get back to dbd. The only game I don't stop playing forever.
I wouldn't say it is my favorite game but I like to play it from time to time or watch others play.
Breaks or not, its more like 5 years of the exact same gameplay with no updates from the devs (i mean do gens and loop, chase and down, kill or escape)
No new ressources, gameplay, gamemodes or whatever where added (breakable walls dont count, thzy dont change the gameplay)
-
I hate get dedicated/server lagged on the vomit with plague to infect survs
But i play her from time to time

If you are epileptic, I'm sorry to say but it is irresponsible for you to play first person/third person video games.
Your health is your responsibility. People with seafood allergies don't go around eating crabs and shrimp. People who are epileptic should not be playing first person shooters and third person action games.
Sorry, it's not the answer that you want to hear, but it's the truth.
Woah what à champ, comparing à sickness people can avoid to one they cant/that NEEDS to be advertised...
Guess Epileptic people shouldnt play anygames then? Nor watch TV, have à Phone, watch movies....
If the game doesnt tell you that you cant play it while being photosensitive/epileptic then there shouldnt be à problem
Epileptic people amsp have the right to play the games they want, its not hard to avoid light flashings, ESPECIALLY IN DBD
But i guess you really wanna keep your clicky clicky Flashlights more then thinking to other persons huh?
Sorry its not the answer you wanna hear, but its the truth

-
Nerf/change the healing mechanic overall would bring CoH to be more fair
But in the current state of the game its super broken and so will the new one be
-
You will go à New boon for that
Use it then and play à game thatll be even more unbalanced and camp/tunnel focused
-
More risks per game to see à survivor cheating (1 in 4 for 4 in 5 chances)
Killers are like one chance per game (1 in 1 for 1 in 5 chances)
So that may explain

They still think that cheaters are customers that buy their stuff and all :')

The buffs won't make the worst ones better. The nerfs (usually in region of a ridiculous 50%!) make his useful ones mostly worthless and bland.
Sigh. At least the new killer looks pretty dope. A pity, because I really liked Pinhead as is. I regularly got pooped on by good survivors - he really wasn't that strong. Barely even 'B' tier.
I mean, if people used the strong addons, is because they are good, and almost needed ofr certain killer
But its ridiculous to see the game being balanced around the addons and perk rather then the core game
