  • Had a person say';

"I'm gonna ######### you so hard, it's gonna be terrible for you"

    So I told him

"That sounds like a good time"

    and he said

    "I have chlamydia"

Sorry, let me know if I got this right. I got hooked, killer is walking around the hook, I guess we can just say camping, I get unhooked, even with BT, teammates are running around to block and protect me, killer ignores them completely, avoids them just to get me, downs me eventually and hooks again. And situation repeats. And I am the one who needs to play better? Then tell me how, I'd love to get better.

Learn the loops, and map layouts. The moment you said "downs me eventually and hooks again" then I know you're not playing right. Because the only reason you would say that line; You get downed very quickly, because you don't know the loops, and expect holding 'W' or ^ on your controller is gonna save you long enough for your team to get a gen.

If you are doing chases right as a survivor than you can easily make a single chase 4-5 minutes long.

  • Did I comment here already? BT could be more balanced, it should be activated in certain distance of the Killer, instead of Terror Radius. So many things effect Terror Radius, and it's just not a accurate measurement of the killer to the hook for it's intended purpose.

  • It's true, the biggest problem in DBD right now is the excessive amount of toxicity from entitled survivors that look at this game as a Bully Simulator instead of a Horror game.

Dude stop being biased pls. A dying survivor is complete silent atm. Why do you try so hard to prove that playing survivor is hard. It's not

Lol what? Where in my comment am I being survivor biased? I've even mentioned that the complaint from killers is that the sound is bugged. Also do you even spend any time on the forums? I am like the loudest voice for favoring Killers. 🤣🤣🤣

  • I don't think Xbox and PC are cross platform yet, just the Windows Store and the Steam Store for PC. I know that's not actually cross platform, but that's what the Dev's described it as.

  • I don't use it because I hate walking around trying to preserve my exhaustion perk. So yes I can see why it is balanced from a survivor perspective. BUT when playing Killer there is nothing more annoying then finally finding someone, and the first thing that happens is they sprint burst into a safe loop - you know full well at that point you're not gonna catch them, but if you don't chase them at that point they are just going to jump right back on that gen and complete, while 2-3 other survivors are out there also doing gens.

It's a gross manipulation of the amount of time the Killer has to complete his objective, and imo should be either reworked or nerfed.

I agree with you here as well. I just hate spending the game in chase because killer is too insecure in his tracking skills to chase someone else.

A tunneling killer should lose if you have good teamates. But there are so many potatoes out there that it makes it even worse when your running them and no gennys get done.

If you end up with a bad team, do what you can, and either take the sacrifice or abuse hatch mechanic. If you don't already know where the hatch is, or if you know the killer will get to the hatch before you can jump through it in the time it takes the last survivor to die - Stake Out (hah pun), the door furthest from the hatch. By the time the Killer closes the hatch and walks back to the furthest door (even longer if they check the door nearest to them), you will already have it open and out before they get to you. Spine Chill also increases the speed you open the exit gate.

When I say "Take the sacrifice", you can double pip and die as survivor. Survivors dying does not directly mean you lost - even though it should.

Before anyone says "Pipping doesn't mean winning", actually it does. It's the thing in the game that is tracking how well you did, and how much of a reward you earn for how well you did. It's telling you if you "won" or not.

  • You know, you can just run from the slope on the harvester, directly onto the bales after the window.

Lol I always catch the survivors off guard with that one.

  • It's now the same tier as Lithe. It doesn't need a buff, the other exhaustion perks need a nerf.

A long, long, looooong time ago being stealthy worked very effectively, and it wasn't looked down upon like it is now. Now players have to use ALL perk slots in order to be stealthy, and it (most of the time) doesn't even work. Not like it used to, anyway.

In order to be stealthy now, you have to use Urban Evasion, Iron Will, Calm Spirit, Lucky Break, Light Weight, Quick and Quiet, Dance With Me, Poised, MAYBE Balanced Landing, and others I'm probably forgetting about. "So what's the big deal?" I hear you ask! Well, immersed players are too scared to do ANYTHING! If you're hooked, they won't come for you. Generators need to get done? They won't do them. And players who play very immersed generally don't do well in chases, so they ultimately won't be any help to the team in ANY WAY. They'll be too busy crouching around the map with Urban Emersion.

Stealth isn't a thing in the game anymore, not with the survivors breathing like life time smokers! Wether you're walking, running, in a locker, the killer WILL hear you! And that's not even mentioning the super loud grass, footsteps and noises the survivors make when they do an action. Also, the killers have eyes, too. Except Demo, but, ya know?

not with the survivors breathing like life time smokers! Wether you're walking, running, in a locker, the killer WILL hear you!

While the biggest complaint from killer's right now is that the sound is bugged. Okay 👌

Yes you are immune because you can't be hooked...when did you become so biased?

It's not biased when it's true. I also never said "I can't be hooked", what I described is "I can't be hooked for a long time".

If I get hit (or injured after being unhooked), now I have Dead Hard. I can use it once in a chase to either dodge an attack, get to another loop, go through another loop - if I make a mistake, or give myself immunity through an attack.

If I have Inner Strength, then I am countering NOED, Nurses, Sloppy Butcher, and any other Hex: Perk, because it's not hard to remember where the totems spawn on maps, and it's just remembering the tiles over remember the entire map. I don't use Self Care because I see the game based on time it takes to do things, and minimax to complete my objective in the smallest amount of time, self care takes too long in most situations, when preparing Inner Strength when it's safe to do so, and have it ready for an 8 second heal later on is better. I never need to be healed more than once - twice in a single trial anyways.

If I have Unbreakable or Tenacity, even slugging me doesn't stop me. I'll just get back up again, or drag myself to the hatch/safety.

If I have DS then I have a 60 second immunity after being unhooked, which is good for a number of things, completing a gen, extending a chase, saving another survivor. If I pair that with Tenacity then i'm dragging myself out the door in the end game, or stunning the killer and die hard out.

If I have Spine Chill (I always have Spine Chill, and Dead Hard), then all stealth killer's are just m1 killer's with base movement speeds and nothing special added. Just loop them as normal. Not to mention it directly counters every single Terror Radius perk in the game.

The only time I don't use the perks listed above, is when I run Diversion, and Head On. To mess/bully the killer with friends.

I'm not being biased. Through and through I enjoy Killer in this game more, and only started playing this game because my favorite Killer - Freddy - Was added to it. However I do play both roles enough to know which is stronger, and which is easier - more relaxing to play. Which a Survivor role in any horror game should not be relaxing and easy to play. It's a Horror game - Survivors should always be on their toes, getting scared, creeped out, and excitement.

You got it all wrong man! The solution is to make problems so the devs pay more attention to me!

I even find myself playing Survivor more, and just defending Killers when I catch other survivors harassing the killer (even when we win).

The gross amount of entitlement most people playing survivor has is disgusting, and is the real problem in this game - and it's all just a direct result of updates to the game making Survivor a risk free, zero stress role. In a horror game.

Exactly. I didn't use to DC, slug, or use unfun tactics all the time to play Killer, but after playing this game for so long, and every match you are against back to back red ranks, and swf's - all calling you down to the lowest even when you let any of them go - something just clicks and you don't care about giving the other side fun anymore.

No offense but you seem to be everything wrong with the game. You aren’t the solution, you’re more the problem.

So yeah. Call me down all you want, I gave survivors more than enough chance to have an inkling of respect in this game, and you all blew it - now I play for my own fun.

  • @Clevite said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1056245#Comment_1056245

Disagree my friend. I do and I don't even slug the injured guy. Just go around and get the unhooker. But I also don't care about rank anymore and have switched to majority of survivor.

I myself despise tunneling off the hook. I think it is as low skill a tactic as a killer can get.

But that said it is part of the game and deserves no punishment. But if you are a tunneling killer you lose your right to complain about ds, gen rush, and looping. You are kinda asking for it. Imo.

I get tunneled off hook all the time, and have no issues. It's just a matter of knowing map layout, and running where it's safe rather than putting yourself out of position. I don't even run DS because by the time the killer does down me off hook, the 60 second cooldown is used up. If I do take DS then I purposly get downed because I use the 60 seconds as a form of immunity rather than "anti-tunneling".

If a Killer tunnels a good survivor, they lose. Plain and simple.

  • Clown: Remove reduced speed when reloading tonic's. Add 4% speed penalty to survivors afflicted by gases.

  • The game is in a dark time, and until the dev's realize it the Killer won't be the power role. To play Killer I resorted to a 3 gen strategy with Surveillance on all my Killers. Then I abuse a Hook - Slug everyone else strategy (because the one person on hook seems to pull that stealth survivor out like a moth to a flame). However I still DC if the gen's are popping 2-3 in 1-2 chases, because why waste my time in a game that isn't going to be fun, and get me nothing in the end when I have a 5 second que into another one, and if I get the same people - I can simply lobby dodge.

As survivor, I just do as normal. Gen rush, abuse safe loops, and go in with as many immunity perks as possible, and the game is easy and relaxing.

  • I like how i'm starting to see more people respond to these kinds of threads with "You can do it, I believe in you, keep trying". Now more than ever. I guess you can tell that the entitled survivors finally feel threatened, maybe if we're lucky they will balance the game to give Killer the power role again.

    Some thin lined hope.

  • I faced a 3-man swf one today, one of them even changed their name to Almo_2011 [bhvr] (a dev's name). One them was flashlight click spamming me any time I chased them. Add that one to the several other "worst gaming experiences" I've had with this game.

I immediately switched to Survivor, and then ended up in their lobby. Dodged that lobby right quick.

The killer will still be rewarded, they just will get slightly less bp. Chill out big boy.

heavily cost you bp and your emblem

I am chill, sorry that my response is blunt, but at least it's not stupid. At some point you're tired of listening to entitled survivors making up their own definitions of game terms, and asking for more freebies. If they don't like the game so much - maybe try CIV5, I hear the director recommends it.

  • Tunneling Is: Consistently chasing 1 survivor even against better options.

Tunneling Is Not: Chasing the same survivor off hook because they are the better option to chase.

Sorry no Killer in the world is going to chase the fully healed Survivor darting off into a nearby god loop, while you go hide behind a tree in the middle of no where to self care. The killer's going to get you - the better option, and you need to learn to play better.

  • That's a stupid idea. If someone unhooks you unsafely, then the Killer should be rewarded for it. Sorry it had to be you, but it's not the Killer's fault, blame the other survivor.

If you get unhooked, and then run to an unsafe location, or be the first one the Killer finds. Again that's not the Killer's fault, and you should play better.

This is the dumbest idea I've heard on the forums.

It’s because they’re poor sportsman in real life. They were coddled as they grew up, told that they are the best and could do whatever they want to do. Then real life hits them, they experience adversity, can’t handle it, and blame everything and everyone but themselves.

You can’t fix these types of people, they have to suffer in life in order to fix themselves. Best to ignore them and not let them pull you down.

Only in regards to the game. Because the absurd amount of Survivors that are this toxic is unbelievable. It's every game. All the survivors get like this over time because the game has been catered to them to this point, as for Killer it became harder and harder to play, forcing them to resort to dirtier methods to get the 2-4 kills needed to be considered a "win" and even then still black pip according to the current emblem system.

Anyways the updates catered to an entitled crowd making them more entitled, and they have the mindset that they can get away with abusing every Killer they face like as if it's their slave, or a computer.

As for SWF's go, they simply just don't care because they know that them and their friends are just going to switch to another game when this one dies because of their behavior.

  • I wouldn't say only Doc. I have been seeing DC's from both sides since the update. Survivors haven't really changed much, they always DC when things don't go their way - because they are pissed off and know that by doing so is denying the Killer points. So it's more of a punishment for Killer than it is for yourself when you DC as survivor.

Killer's have started to DC because they don't want to waste time in a game that is being ended quickly. When they have a mere second que time to get into a better match.

At the same time, I think even more people also understand that DCing had always been the biggest and fastest way to tell Dev's somethings not right (in their opinion).

    DBD 2020: The DC Reckoning

  • Wow this blew up fast in one night 😂

  • When you know the other survivors are not on Gen's, or if you have other survivors hooked/slugged.

Tunneling is a fast way to lose the game, not to mention the actual definition of tunneling was lost due to entitled players. Tunneling is the act of focusing on one target even ignoring better options. It's the idea that you are so fixated on one individual you can't see anything outside the scope of that individual. Meaning it does not mean "yOu ChAsEd Me OfF hOoK hUrR dUrR", like as if you are entitled to a free escape because someone else unhooked you. Even if it was an unsafe save, or you decided to run to an unsafe or disadvantageous position.

Tunneling isn't a bad thing, it's just an insult entitled players use to get under your skin, and in your head to make you feel like you played bad, so that you play worse so that themselves and other players can get an easier win.

  • "Adrenaline is a reward for doing the objectives, NOED is not." Well, doing gens is what you're supposed to do, you didn't do anything special or risked anything other than playing the game as you should. Imagine a perk rewarding the killer for hooking survivors, "if you did 6 hooks, a random survivor dies" that would be a reward for doing nothing but playing the game.

Not gonna lie, this point is the best I've seen made on these forums in a long time.

  • I've just started to play today, and had 6 matches in a row that went terrible. Killer is just too hard to play now. I'm going to stop playing until my friends get on to play survivor with.

  • It's so true though. When I play survivor I feel like I am in the power role, and get irritated when i'm not doing well, because somehow I got it in my mind that I am the power role.

That shouldn't be the case at all.

Also when I am playing survivor it's not scary - at all, and it's only like that because the role comes with 0 stress. To the point where most of the time I am telling myself "I'm immune" in most situations because of Perk's, and just how broken map loops are.

  • You say as i'm customizing how my Legion looks.

  • They already have reduced points for standing within the area of a hooked survivor, and in addition to that camping is a legitimate strategy.

  • Play Ghostface, Pig, or facecamp

  • Also DS doesn't stop tunneling, it just makes the chase slightly longer

  • Idk what you mean, tunneling makes you lose games against competent survivors. all DS does is allow competent survivors have a 60 second immunity. I know that's how I use it anyways.

  • Some hero's don't wear capes. Some get teabagged and called names, but still get iri chaser emblems.

  • No he's not OP

  • Oh god the amount of perks I would remove...

    Decisive Strike / Insidious

  • To be fair, lobby dodging shouldn't even happen if matchmaking was good.

  • My second last match was against a twitch streamer's SWF, all ranks 2's and one rank 1. They spent the match playing normally, up till near the end when they started to just bully me, and sabotage all the hooks in an area taunting me by letting me down one of them just to see that there were no hooks nearby.

It's not okay. If you think about it, many of us probably resorted to gaming because we were getting bullied when we were younger, I don't think any of us want to be bullied now.

Also that's pretty disgusting for a twitch streamer, like why do these smaller streamers have to give such a bad name for twitch streamers

  • Anytime I see it as Killer I just assume that player is toxic, and then ensure the entity has their way with them.

That is also why I don't run it, because I am not a toxic survivor - much.

Almost 140€ if you want the entire content including the game itself.

Or time to be famous on twitch (to earn cash from donations like all the famous and rich streamers) sadly is really hard to become famous (about 200/300 viewers per stream). (And harder to find people who donate to you)

Still need Jane to complete the last challenge of the lvl 1 tome 2.

You can buy Jane with Iridescent... I think... I can't confirm because I already bought all the DLC.
