The problem I've always had with Spirit, even if you know where she is or what shes doing, she knows where you are too so it doesnt matter at all.
-
I dont think either are OP...both are relatively strong however and it would be hard to say which one is better.

... why would that be linked?
Although I do find pigs in general from my perspective to be very hit and miss, the leather jacket set is alot darker, making it more viable than the others, which may relate to the toxicity.
-
I'm mostly fine with it. The fact we got something at all for free was enough to me, yet to see anyone criticize me while playing for using it yet I've had a few people be happy to see me use it as have I been happy to see them use it.
I'd like shirts at one point too as long as they're also free or similar to the charity pack as you stated. (as I think them trying to make a profit off it would be absurd).
Finally, nothing really confirms any of the characters sexualities, so nothing really says any of them are straight or that they're anything other than straight. I'd rather they take their time with it and slowly reveal it rather than rush into it.
-
Although I don't think any killer should actually be banned, I'd be much happier if Spirit didnt exist.
-
Both survivors are bannable in that situation. As for the killer, I'd presume they are too but I'm not sure as it's much harder to ignore a survivor especially if they spam vault near the non progressing one.

Although I prefer Mindbreaker, I'm glad to see this ^^

No being horny on these Christian forums if it's not about Jeff, Jake or Joey.

C tier killer. Can shut down loops but has no traversability, also has to reload his power wasting even more time for him.

Fixing the bug is one thing, actively going out of your way to screw over players who had the bug is another. If you feel the need to defend them, kindly do it on another thread.
I dont see why he needs to go to another thread to defend them... additionally, as mentioned, bugs get fixed if you like it or not. Shouldve known it would be fixed eventually.

Anyone who says no should not only be banned from the forums, but dbd entirely.

Do what you think is best, none of us can really help beyond whatever support random forum strangers can supply. I didn't come out as bi til I was almost 20, then trans three years later. And, as much as it hurts to have come out that late (especially the trans part), it wasn't the end of the world.
Maybe there's someone in your family you can talk to, or a friend? Someone that can give you a second opinion without outing you?
I've told a friend who is extremely close to me and my father both a while back (I don't live with my dad but rather my mother and step father). I'm not sure about the friend...but my dad thinks that I should keep quiet for now just incase everything goes bad.
Also I hope you're happy after what you went through, I cant imagine it being great but atleast you're through it now ^^
-
Ok I guess...I want to tell my family that I'm pansexual but I worry how they'd react, and that if they react badly that I'll have to deal with them due to me being too young to live alone... on the positive side I'm into someone but I dont think they like me back and I'm too nervous to ask anyways.
Glad to see others are having a good month though ^^

loads =/= some.
some implies a small quantity. saying "Some people do X", implies you can find people doing it, but they are a minority.
loads implies a large quantity. "loads of people do X" implies that they are either the majority, or close to it.
and OP has already made their case. They aren't saying "no killer does this to be toxic". they are saying "Killers aren't necessarily trying to be toxic when they do X".
and then they gave examples of non toxic reasons why a killer would do those things. They already proven their point.
You shouldn't strawman people
Aight I'll apologise for the loads and some bit. I'm Irish and if you dont know, Irish people tend to be dramatic per se with their language.
For example, we may say "I'm starving" when we're slightly hungry or "Its lashing rain" when its slightly raining.
As for the not toxic vs toxic part, I think it makes a bit more sense when I mention the bit above, as when I say loads, I forget not every person here is Irish and over dramatize things as we do, so loads to me is equivalent to some while to you not as much.
Otherwise, apologies again and g'day.

I dont see tbagging as toxic either. None of it phases me anymore. They are similar though, ill give you that
I'm glad that you dont then ^^ Personally my mental health is too fragile to be able to take the laugh out of it (mainly bc its frequent in all games that allow crouching) but maybe eventually itll stop causing me to tilt.

"Loads of killers do majority of these just to be an ass" =/= "I assume some people are trying to be #########".
and just to be clear, I didn't make any claim about what they are trying to do. All I said is that you are assuming they are doing X to be an #########.
It's on you to prove they are doing it to be an #########. It's not on me to prove they aren't.
Ah yes because loads must mean everyone.
Also if it's on anyone it's on OP to prove killers dont do this for toxicity other than saying what they think if anyone. They're the one that made the original 'controversial' claim, they're the one that should prove that their claim is right.

how would you know? you are just assuming they are trying to be #########.
I said I assume some people are trying to be #########, which some definitely are. Additionally, I could ask the same question, for a few of these (cause some are just not toxic unless a very certain situation) how would you know they're not trying to be #########?

Ive never understood this. I think its HILARIOUS smacking the survivor on hook. I laugh when i do it and when it happens to me. I dont know why, it never doesnt make me laugh. Why do you find it toxic?
Usually when it occurs to me its paired with a not so nice head shake or head nod, which to me is the killer equivalent of teabagging. Maybe its changed since I've played survivor frequently, but to me it's always sseemed toxic.
-
Like it depends on intent.
Loads of killers do majority of these just to be an ass, others do it within reason. For example I used to always hit Elodies to get rid of that horrible scream, which is understandable, but there are some people who do it to be asses.
Due to that, I find your title misleading.

Missing the survivor's point. They don't want Spirit to hear them at all.
That unironically wouldnt be a bad way to balance her, remove her ability to hear grunts of pain. Still wouldnt be a great solution either ig.
I'm starting to think she should just be reworked entirely though...

Playing against nice players. I usually dodge lobbies with Xbox players or twitch streamers just incase I get toxic messages.

D tier killer on every other map, A tier on small maps. Bad killer, he has Trapper syndrome.
Care to explain why he's D tier other than comparing him to PH? Because you're in the minority here.

If a killer requires small maps to be good, they're garbage.
Let's just completely ignore the point that I said he's B tier otherwise then.
-
He isnt D tier at all. He's a solid B tier killer and on some maps (such as The Game) he becomes a low A tier killer.

to me frank has always been evil, these acts seemed to be him making accuses to kill, he didn't have to kill the cleaner.. tho anna I agree with, tho slinger did eventually kill for revenge if i remember correctly
My bad about Slinger, he did kill the Warden at the end due to him not keeping up his part of the deal (iirc). As for Frank, its debatable. He's clearly not a nice person, but I do think he has some mental health issues (such as depression) due to him not having anyone that truly cared about him when he was growing up, so when he did have someone that cared about him, he was willing to go too far for them and kill the janitor.
Maybe he was evil, but I like to try and find the good in Frank and think if he was evil he would've killed earlier without any reason.
-
If we want to get technical, we could say Anna killed for the girls that she kidnapped, s we see in her tome she brings back toys to the kids and gets frustrated upon their death.
Frank also killed for the other members of the Legion when Julie was grabbed by the cleaner, which could be considered an act of anger but also an act of being 'heroic' for his friends.
Finally, and this one might be pushing it, Slinger didnt kill per se, but captured others for his gang and for the warden.
Overall, I do find Charlotte's lore respectable regardless of the other lores. She did what she could after being dealt a bad hand at life and she tried to keep her brother alive regardless of what she had to do.
-
The only point I agree with here is your third point.
Sometimes his zombies are great and you can force a hit on a loop, other times they decide that there's a nice tree in the corner of the map that they'd like to hug.
-
Pray she misses, that's the only counterplay a decent Spirit has.

Thanks for the consideration, I appreciate it a lot.
I agree, we should always consider perks and maybe up to yellow or green addons when discussing how to balance a killer. And you make a very good point with Whispers; I can see your logic and how it would be an amazing perk on him, especially with Overheat as a mechanic.
However, I think we're both focused on different aspects of his power. I'm more concerned with encouraging Billies to keep trying their hand at flicking, over and over, incentivizing them to practice and get better. You're more focused on the 1v4 aspect of DBD, creating pressure across the board rather than individual chase potential. With DBD, both are important, but Overheat forces you to pick one and ignore the other. If you use his saw for mobility, you won't have much heat left for the chase. If you save the heat for the chase, you lose your mobility. Not to mention, Overheat makes it so that you have limited practice - but with Billy's saw being among the most interactive powers in the game, I think we should let Billies curve more, not less.
As to whether or not I think Billy should've been nerfed, you're right, I think the nerf was absolutely unnecessary. I would have agreed with an Overheat solely to punish camping; i.e. it builds up while revving but goes away when you dash, to punish Billies who facecamp with their saw out. That would've been totally fine by me and probably the rest of the community. I also would've been fine with BHVR nerfing his charge time addons, Tuning Guide, etc. They went way overboard with what they did to him, though, and completely ignored the outcry from the community (because let's face it, most of us loved old Billy and we're sad that nobody plays him anymore).
Basically, BHVR pulled an "if it ain't broke, break it" and ignored the ######### out of the community when we told them not to go through with it. Not only was it a horrible decision balance-wise, it came across as a huge middle finger, as if to say they don't value our input when it comes to the game. I can't speak for them to say whether or not they do value our input, but it certainly doesn't feel like they do when they pull stuff like this.
Everything you say there about the overheat is understandable and for the most part I agree with (especially that a similar mechanic just to punish camping but not to punish people trying to learn him). Additionally, like you said, he is a much harder killer to learn now due to the limited use of his power.
It's a shame with how much they changed him, especially that he basically has no good add ons now. Regarding if they listen to us or not, I'm not sure. There's a thread regarding optimisation that has over 1.5k comments yet no news on that from any Developer or Community manager, which to me says enough.
All in all I do still find Billy fun, but he must be a pain in the ass to get into with what ######### they've done to him, especially that you can put less effort in to learning a better killer. They did go overboard on many aspects but I doubt they'll revert them any time soon :/

I'll admit as someone who doesnt care about animations too much, this one just dissapointed me. I thought we'd get an animation of them jabbing it into themselves along their arm, but all we get is this...
-
It will start on the 1st of July and will last for two weeks, along with the anniversary event.

Since when was Nemesis stronger than PH? If anything he's a weaker version.
-
Cant we also reverse it then and say competitive swf are the only teams that can win against a good spirit or Nurse?

I agree that the game probably would need to be reworked, but BHVR could still do some things to help. God tiles shouldn’t exist: there is no gameplay for killer, the survivor just imposes his/her will. Then you have nerfs to killers like pyramid head that make absolutely no sense other than catering to people who don’t want to learn.
Wait what nerfs did PH get? If you're talking about the cage nerfs then nvm because he got PoTD buffed at the same time which made him stronger.
-
This wont actually be till the start of next month when it's the anniversary.
-
It would fit the dbd universe, sure, but in no way would it fit the resident evil series. Additionally Capcom seem like a very restrictive company, so I doubt it will happen.

Killers in this game don't have skill floors, they have skill ceilings. The killers with high skill ceilings are the best killers in the game. Not neutered trash killers that limit your ability to function with convoluted cooldowns and stuns.
Thats why survivors have a hard time dealing with Nurses, Spirits, and Blights....you're no longer facing a robot with these killers, you're facing another player with a brain with infinite capability.
Killers both have a skill floor and a skill ceiling. Nurse and Huntress would have a higher skill ceiling than a killer like Clown, as their powers are harder to use when first playing the character.
That's why I'm saying Nemesis has a high one, he has punishment for missing his attack, and he cant just expect his zombies to do all the work for him, he needs to somewhat loop the survivors into them to make full use.

It's not bannable. They didn't know it would happen, and had no way to deactivate it.
I guess that's a good way to look at it, not much else they could do in that situation.
