Yep kindred its not bad but other than that i usually don't equip support perks because if your team don't know how to loop they will get downed fast anyway. I'm confident with just never hook farming and if the killer its coming for the hook i just tank the hit, i don't find BT really a must unless the killer make a campfire near the hook and start making marshmallows 😂
Yeah, I see your point 😂

No going to lie, I rage quit for the first time in DBD after a team just failed me at literally every turn. I had to take a break and play a different game. I was so triggered, ha ha ha... Screw my "teammates."
Feel that to my core.

Its definitely hard to escape as a soloQ because as you said you have to repair at least 3 gens, unhook and loop the killer. Pretty much everything lol
Trying builds i even made one for only repairing with Kate for soloQ with "Build to Last+Fast track+Stake out+Resilience" and a green toolbox. Its not bad.. but even if you manage to repair 2 or 3 and even 4, you need your team to finish all gens, and if they are complete potatoes... not much can be done.
So im starting to give a good look to "Left behind" and "Wake up" because i tend to be most of the times the last survivor alive. But i wish i had not do use those perks. I want a better and working matchmaking, not this joke.
I really recommend kindred. I can feel the change in the air once my team has a visual of what the others are doing. Suddenly, they are more focused and work better as a team. Not always of course, but it really helps a lot (also it's always nice to see if a killer is camping and if anyone is going for the save, or which gens are worked on or abandoned because of a chase). But tbf I'm a sucker for context and overview. I run bond + kindred for that, and borrowed time + we'll make it to make the saves as quick and painless as possible. I'm happy when someone brings CoH. I don't even bother with other perks anymore, which is sad but it feels bad not having the overview of what the others are doing / not doing and not having BT just feels awful. Left behind is a nice perk to have though, in these trying times...

I feel that. I'm at the point where if I don't single handedly do three gens on top of making saves and being chased, we don't have a chance. I don't even mind dying to a good killer. Not to be arrogant, but it's honestly rare. Most of the time I die, it's because teammates just will not play.
Sadly, this is also my reality of this game. I do everything I can to carry my team, sometimes it even works, but it's exhausting when no one else is there to have your back and the killer is power tripping to the moon. Idk. I just wish people who don't do anything in a match would just... not play.

Nemesis zombies AI its smarter than the team i get in soloQ sometimes.. i feel you.
SBMM did nothing more than ruin the game. Because escaping doesn't mean skill, its purely luck. You need a good team to escape, otherwise no matter what you do its impossible, other than having again also luck if you find the hatch.
And even if you die in 20 matches an escape only 5 you don't get worse killers, you still get killers that are much better than the team you get as survivor. So SBMM its not only worse than the old MM but also it doesn't work correctly.
The old MM was much better. I was matched with people of my skill with it (most of times) it also had its flaws, but compared to SBMM it was 10 times better. I wish they revert this crap someday and realize that it's one of the things that is slowly killing the game.
True, escaping (or winning) means absolutely nothing in this game. I'd rather have games than are fun and challenging with good teammates and not escaping than accidentally finding the hatch after my 3 mates were done playing dead fish. Ugh.

Solo queue is pretty miserable for me. I usually run into killers running at least two slow down perks, and I almost always have at least one teammate who has no intention of playing. Just now, I'm playing as Mikaela, had a boon up right after the first gen got done, and I watched my Feng teammate literally refuse to play the entire rest of the game because she was injured, and I followed her through the boon area where she did not heal herself. I had a game a week ago with a Nancy who, I am not kidding, she did not touch a gen the entire game. I had a game on the Game where a Jeff crouched, terrified, on the lower level long enough that I did a gen and a half, entirely alone, and there was never a terror radius near us the entire time. And sadly, I have almost 2000 hours in this game, almost entirely as a solo survivor. It's no wonder I take months long breaks from this game now. Eventually I'll walk away entirely. Honestly my teammates do far more damage than the killers ever do, as much as it would hurt their feelings to know.
Oh and I find that killers will not hook you if you make it obvious you want out. It's a weird power trip. You have to pretend that they got you fair and square and then hope you can ######### before someone unhooks you.
Oh god, I feel you. When they get injured, or hear just a fraction of a heartbeat, it's like the world is ending for the rest of the game. They won't to #########, just sit in a corner and ??? Don't even know what they're trying to do. I usually run up to them, heal them if needed and make the "follow me" motion to try and get them to play the game. But it's very annoying when it happens every other game.
I also think that bad teammates are way worse to "go against" than a very good killer. You easily lose against bad killers with bad enough teammates. I don't mind losing, but not this way. It's infuriating, really.
Games where I do (not kidding) 4-5 gens - Yep, actually not that uncommon.
And that may very well be, I've got the feeling that when I'm offering myself to the killer, they either: go easy on me and let me do whatever ?? or slug. Few just hook me. I really should try to make it feel "real" for them... Thanks for the insight.

Am I the only one that doesn't get the chance to wiggle off the hook anymore if I'm the only one left? It's been like this for a few weeks now where I haven't been hooked yet, and when all others are either dead/sacrificed/ or already hooked I immediately die. There is no usual waiting still for x amount of time, it just goes straight to me getting stabbed to death....
This is normal, they changed it some time ago.

As a survivor I hate Pop, so I'd say yes.

Not a fan aswell. On badham, they create really harsh deadzones / dead ends. In general, they are unnecessary and just kinda lame.

yeah, but its nice when your characters are not gay just for the sake of being gay. it's about having a good reason. maybe if they were less annoying about it. then they would not need this. i'm sorry, it's my opinion, thats yours. lets leave it to that.
That's what I was trying to say. No one should need a good reason to be gay. You just are. And representing that reality is a good thing, as opposed to the everyone is hetero by default brainwash we have going on since ages.
I just wanted to show you my pov tho, i'm not following the social Media stuff so idk about how 'annoying' they are about it.
Anyway, have a good day
-
I do understand what you're saying, but look at things this way: to most people, hetero is the norm. It is the default. Everyone is hetero until stated otherwise. When in reality, it's not like that. Homosexuals are no minority. It's not Like 80% are straight and 20% are of another sexuality. Yet that is whar most people think. Because the representation in media is so rare. It's not normalized, and as long as it's not normalized, we absolutely need to represent LGBT identities more. This will not be done with after having LGBT characters in dbd. But it helps. The more media endorses that we humans are not all alike, the sooner the sexualities of characters will be truly No Deal anymore.

idk why people even give a ######### about their rank, its all meaningless anyway, theres no reward, theres no real difference in teams majority of the time atleast purple to red, its not hard to get to red ranks, only rank that matters these days are rank 15-20 because those are usually obvious new players and it atleast that rank represents that unlike the rest
I never said anything you're debating, I merely stated that the experience playing at rank reset is awful for me rn.

Same happened to me. From Rank 2 to Rank 3. Once I restarted the game, I was suddenly Rank 5. Must have been a bug.

Nah, I literally let them escape when they tried to go for that annoying structure. I just tried to make it look legit by looking around obstacles I knew they weren't near and turning around like I was confused about where they'd gone. I didn't do the "I'll pretend I can't see you so you stay hidden until I hit you" shtick.
That's hilarious. You can only pretend to be bad when you're actually really good.
-
Wish I could "lose" them and pepper them later, but I really just lose them 😂
Nice Story 🍹
-
If you know when to use it and can pull through injured aswell, I got no problem with it, but most of the time I see them selfcaring EVERYTIME after they took a hit (I often use bond) and it hurts the match so much. You could help finishing a crucial gen while the killer is chasing someone else but you decide to chill in a corner selfcaring for an hour 🙄
I have had games where one or more survivors essentially spent the whole match selfcaring, and I'm sorry but it is so annoying.

I love those. It's a killer with noed who put u in the basement and is camping (which I know cause I got kindred), ofc I'm not gonna feed him another kill 😂 got salty messages after, "great Teamwork" etc.
Seriously tho, I usually try my best to get everyone out, even if it means I die but sometimes, a survivor played theirself so bad and sometimes u just gotta call it a game tbh.

I see way too many Killer Mains on here talking about the game like it's a single player game. They expect to get the win handed to them (rhetorics like "Killer is the Power role" , "survivors should not be able to escape most of the time") and completely ignore the fact that there are real people on the other side wanting to enjoy the game aswell.

At release the devs were having games with Tru3 (streamer).
At those times devs talked about how they expected survivors to play 'sneaky sneak' and were genuinely surprised by the emergent gameplay of 'juking' etc. Tru then spent the better part of this games initial year talking about how survivors 'were doing wrong' explaining that survivors should play more sneaky sneak.
For ANYONE who has put anytime into this game, they will tell you the whole horror/sneaking aspect gets old and boring fast. It's the interactions between killers/survivors that has been part of keeping this game relevant.
My point being, that this games success has been born almost in spite of itself.
I agree with you

Good juke game? That’s not the kind of game I bought. That’s not what makes games fun. It’s about using your environment that the devs are supposed to supply you with. Killers have abilities, ez one hit downs, speed, they have to give survivors a way to successfully survive if they’re good at using THE ENVIRONMENT. Includes pallets, vaults, hugging walls, running efficiently. Not “juking” a killer. They need to design maps more around environmental interactions to boost survivors chances of survival. Taking away pallets and vaults altering loops in any way to favor killer isn’t helping the other 90% of the map that feels as though for survivors you’re just too out in the open and caught out of position. It’s killer sided.
Exactly my thoughts. We need more Interactions, not less. I feel like at this point, as a survivor you are expected to play against design choices instead of with them. You somehow have to be able to magically juke the hell out of the killer despite the very limited tools to do so. When they take the recources from survivors, you should just juke harder. Only that "jukes" were never really endorsed by the devs and have no mechanic to follow. It's very counter intuitive and not what the Game presents to you as a core Feature. It's literally a desperate band-aid because without enough pallets, vaults and situational perks, there's nothing left in the Game itself except trying to spin around in a circle 2 times.

I think there needs to be more incentive for survivors to interact with the killer.
aggressive survivors that enjoy the high risk of being chased serve a purpose and so do survivors that prefer a low risk stealthy approach.
I personally get extremely bored and like to get closer to the killer. I enjoy helping someone on a gen, finding the odd totem, saving and taking protection hits are my favourite. I’m not a Loop Master but I won’t learn any new tricks if I don’t risk dying. I like when a killer genuinely outplays me and then I get to try it out when I hop on as the killer and also improve on running around a certain area as survivor.
I’ve been avoiding playing Killer a bit lately. I don’t care about going for sweaty 4k’s but there’s a lot of survivors out there that seem to enjoy doing gens and leaving in 5 minutes. I literally just open the door myself on those games. Goes both ways though.. it’s not exactly enjoyable for anyone if chases last for a few seconds and everyone is either hooked or slugged with 4-5 gens left to go. I tend to let people wiggle free and finish a meme game so everyone has a little more fun. Sometimes I get hate mail or a D/C before I can even show them I’m not going to kill them all. That’s always a punch in the heart lol.
I had a SWF about a month ago that was so much fun though. I put on Thrill of the Hunt Franklin’s etc on Billy, they 99’d the gates and then went along with the shenanigans. I messaged them after to thank them for playing along and they said they were dying laughing in their group chat because of the setup I had going on. Long story short, I let them all get their items back and escape but I kept my precious totem.
I love playing against Piglettes that don’t down me with a ticking trap on my head because I like to try and see how many saves, totems, or gens I can get done before I absolutely have to try and get the trap off. DBD could thrive with more things like that.
I'm glad we have players like you in this community! 💗

Because 4/5 people in the lobby are there solely for the Killer to kill. Nothing more. I trapped you in my complex so you play by my rules not the other way around. You are literally only there to appease me and my bloodlust.
That's the biggest issue with this game. The Survivors get all the advantages when on reality they should have zero advantages. I've never seen a horror movie where the victims defeat the Killer this easily.
And I've never seen a game where one side was guaranteed to fail per default. Do you know the difference between a game and a movie?

They also did add in that aura reading prevention perk from Zarina with this patch. On top of that you can use distortion to try to guess which perks they have, or maybe even sole survivor to try to prevent aura reading on you. On top of what the other guy said about lockers. Or hiding behind gens for BBQ. I can think of several ways aura perks can get screwed.
I think what bothers me the most ist that the Aura Reading ist tied to gens a lot, and when you got teammates who don't help a lot with Gens, you're getting targeted even more than usually. But those are all good Tips, thank u
-
@inferjus said:
Just use lockers if you think killer can see you or stay stealthy and do not perform any actions that could notify killer of your presence.
But playing stealthy is kind of pointless with the ammount of Aura Reading perks a Killer can possibly have, that's what I meant. I use lockers for bbq but what about the other Aura perks?
You gotta do gens though, so not doing anything that could notify the killer won't help you in the end. Especially with the Rank 20's you're getting teamed up with ATM.
I'm gonna try distortion, but I'd rather use other perks to be honest. But maybe I'll enjoy it, who knows?

It might not be his terror radius you're noticing. He's got a base 24m radius, and it's fairly normal. It'll have the heartbeat and everything.
It might seem weird for a few reasons:
- If they're using Monitor & Abuse, that'll bring them down to 16m. Chases start at 12m, so there's not much room between being in their terror radius and being in chase. It might ramp up really quickly.
- He also has add-ons that change his terror radius when aiming down sights.
Do either of those sound like what's happening?
M&A could be, but he didnt aim when he went over to me. The terrorradius Just seems weird and small and you dont get time to react at all tbh
