  • I was hoping for another BBQ event, it was the best one in my opinion.

  • I'd be okay with buffing thanas numbers, if it would not affect healing actions. It could discourage or slow down mindless gen rushing a bit.

  • Yeah, let's just make the trials as generic, inoffensive and uneventful as possible.

Besides, adren is also meta because healing takes so damn long after the requested nerf (with sloppy it's getting really ridiculous, especially with selfcare). I too started to equip adren or bond more often, and rather rush the last gen than healing for ages. You want the meta nerfed, you gotta have a good(!) alternative. Because I sure as hell don't wanna go against 22% thana and sloppy.

Snares>pallets. the chance of most palletslots being used up is way to high for my liking on most maps. I like being able to shut down loops with the snares completely much more. Combine with the rope so survivors have to wake up or suffer from super slow genspeed and faster teleporting or higher regression on missed skillchecks and you have way more control than palletfreddy.

Ok, I don't play as Freddy, this is just my experience as a survivor. I've not seen a Freddy using his snares efficiently so far (though I haven't played much since his release tbh) so the pallets affected me more. I agree on the rope, being slowed down while in sleep was the main culprit for me on old Freddy, so I get war flashbacks when a Freddy uses this addon.

  • Yeah, but only in a long farming session with a bot killer. Selfcaring 100 times to finally max out survival. Fun. But in a regular match, no. The survival category just does not have enough sources to get points from.

  • While I think the noise itself is a bit overdramatic, I'm kinda glad we get a clear notification for make your choice now. I wouldn't exactly miss it though, and I think it could be toned down to be not as banshee.

  • Most people seem to have fun with him so I'd say he's good. Versing him isn't as annoying as the original anymore. Though the constant sleep cycle is still a bit annoying, it's better now.

And I did not expect the dream pallets to be this heavy of a dynamic. You have to keep tabs on which pallets are real and which aren't, which is not easy. A lil cheesy maybe, but at least you get a little paranoid, sometimes.

    All in all, an improvement.

I used to think that the devs will manage all the bugs one day.. Well, here we are 3 years later

Yeah I'm starting to see that too. Kinda sad.

  • 1. The urban invasion one for me too. Now I rarely use it. Still like it, but I can definitely live without it now.

    2. Killer stuns are very rare and hard to get. (I remember celebrating my first stun of a killer like I won the lottery or sth)

    3. Trapper does always step in his own traps, so I'd always go around a freshly set trap until I saw Trappers setting them & walking over them afterwards.

    4. I used to do all gens in one area because I was happy I could find a gen at all and did not think about consequences.

    5. Did not understand that there is a sound cue before skillcheks.

  • Always cleanse totems. I've seen many Myers and Hillbilly with noed. I can often tell if they have it, too, so I do totems especially when I feel like they have noed. Regardless of the killer they chose.

  • Sliver, are you okay?

  • They said due to unforseen circumstances, Bill is not yet on PS4, but he they are working on it and add him asap.

  • All at once. Seperately, they're boring.

  • @ShyN3ko

"I play console by a friend.

    And I tried out Pig.

So it would affect me, because I could play with my friend."

No it doesn't. Only if you choose to play pig on console, but no one is forcing you.

I also don't think that pig is harder than on PC, but I haven't played the killer at all so I'm just talking of my experience on facing amazing pigs on console.

Aside form that, I kinda get your point. The game still needs to be more optimized for console. But to me, that's not a breaking point. I'd still like crossplay, because I think the waiting times for matches would improve considerably, and I could play with friends who only have the game for PC, because I prefer to play on console for comfortable reasons.

  • Feng's christmas sweater with shorts (the dark ones with tights) and if you have it, the moonrise event hair with the flower. Looks v cute together.

There are PLENTY of good nurse and pigs on ps4. I play them allll the time. They play the same as PC. They adjust to their settings and figure it out. That's what gamers do. Us console players will do fine. Hell, we might even surprise some PC players....I'm tired of waiting to get a match. Mikey is getting depressed!

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/645/CAN8BM3NZ0ET.jpg

Agreed, I've seen a LOT of great pigs and even some great nurses on console. Though really good nurses may be rarer than on PC, they definitely exist.

  • @ShyN3ko said:

    @FredKrueger

Getting better is not the problem.

But you cant play Nurse or Pig with controller.

Pig ambush and Nurse blink is something rly fast with much turn around movement.

This is just something impossible with bad framerate and controller.

PC players can just do more things.

And thx the entity Im a PC player.

Sorry but I don't see the problem. If one has difficulties with playing nurse or pig on console, what would crossplay change? They won't be forced to play nurse or pig just because crossplay exists.

Besides, if you're a PC player... How do you know it's hard? Do you have tested it yourself or are you just parroting? (not to say nurse isn't most likely harder to play on ps4, but that is no argument to not implement crossplay, nor does it affect you anyway since you're on PC?)

  • Yes!

And I'd also like to connect accounts (for example ps4 acc and PC acc) to have the same progress on different systems.

  • I recommend the Military jacket for Feng. It's excellent for stealth.

Or play Tapp in his default "casual" outfit & without hat. Almost less visible than Claudette.

Although I kinda agree, I'd like some Tones down options. Doesn't have to be Claudette lvl dark, but just some more natural, chill colors instead of screaming pinks ans whites so bright I feel like the lord is coming with fire. Serioulsy, the whites are too bright.

The issue is not that the Billy-boxes can get the RBT off the first time, however the odds work.

The issue is the devs gave a rare but clear design-intent statement for the Pig and then once again U-turned on it. The point of her ability was that it was supposesd to turn survivors against each other: the RBT is activated by a gen being completed. This is an event which should be certainly perilous for a survivor trapped in one, but it isn't. The devs gave it an overly-generous timer and then had it so that timer paused in a chase, but it's not clear if it's the same chase we know of or a different measure to the one that constantly ceases for killers when a survivor is just feet away or still in LoS.

Even after that U-turn, they nerfed it so it now won't go off unless it has already been activated. They did a similar thing with the hilariously-long timer for EGC, which also slows when it conveniences the survivor.

But the ECG timer is not meant to pressure survivors. It's there to prevent hatch standoffs and holding games hostage. It's there to make survivors leave eventually, not to overly stress them.

The RBT timer is there to pressure and waste time, but not necessarily to kill. I think the timer is in a good place. Much shorter and it takes away any freedom of choice. It would be find box asap or die.

And having the timer go down while in a chase would be really cheesy. Pig's just gotta chase until your head goes Pop. That's not only lame, it also has 0 counterplay.

  • It's not even just brand new players. I got introduced through my husband and 4 friends. They were still fairly new to the game and played together frequently. One year later, only one friend of mine remains to play the game, and she isn't that interested anymore either. Matchmaking problems, along with long waiting times, bugs, inconsistent mechanics, sweaty games and way too much grind are the main reasons they all quit.

  • Capitalism bootlickers at it again with the "it just optional but if u too poor to afford 15dollar skins u still a lesser human being xoxo"

    Stay classy.

On a serious note, even though I could afford it, I will not buy it. I don't think the price is even close to reasonable. No other game takes that much money for 1 Piece of cosmetics. And I think it's sad, since almost every cosmetic that has come out lately is cells only.

  • Ikr I was so hyped for the Tapp cosmetics, f i n a l l y. And they all cost cells. But like, I could get a new outfit for MYSELF for that spicy price. I won't give that much money for some virtual pixels.

I know they'r fishing for whales but they're still reeeally really overpricing that stuff. Pass.... Sadly.

Since they actually need to be added to the game, we had to keep the number of winners low. If we were to pick every one that we liked, there would probably be upwards of 50 winners.

I understand. I thought along the Limes of maybe 2-3 winners for survivors and 2-3 for killers.

  • I also don't understand why they only chose 2 outfits. There were so many great designs, and tbf, many were better/more interesting than most of the official cosmetics.

    Anyway,

    Congrats to the winners πŸ’•

  • Putting traps in corners to make survivors who activate them face the corner. Setting a trap further away from the hook than most survivors would expect. Using her small TR to your advantage (nurses).

  • @DBD_Pinhead said:

Seeing as how my last post got deleted I'll say it again: SURVIVORS DESERVE EVERYTHING THEY GET IN TOXICITY BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO PROBLEMS DISHING IT OUT FOR NO REASON. Especially on console. The easiest thing to do is turn off messages for this game (which is sad because they can't help themselves) and if you feel like fighting fire with fire do it. The mods might not like hearing the truth but such things hurt.

    Nice generelisation.

  • I use stake out a lot and I don't think it needs this kind of buff. It would be too much. I'd add 1 or 2 tokens you can get (so maybe 6 instead of 4 in total) but it's not an issue getting the tokens in the first place, if you're not against a 0 TR killer. If you want the most out of it, you have to stay in the killers TR. That's how it works.

  • Can't edit, but I want to add that I'm also very annoyed of self care. I use bond + open handed a lot and you have no idea how much willpower it takes to endure watching all my teammates self care in each corner of the map while l I'm the only one trying to get things done.

  • Ruin is def the most annoying for me. Mainly because I have to go against it 9/10 games, and I dislike the mechanic because it makes the already tedious repairs even more tedious. Most of the time I can deal with it and Power through, but sometimes it really wears me down, combined with all the bugs and useless teammates. If it wasn't the most used perk, I wouldn't dislike it as much, but as it stands I've come to hate this perk. I'd rather have noed every game than ruin.

Also, nurse calling. Once you figure out a killer has it, it's already too late. Though I totally get the appeal, I love to use it on spirit.

  • Edit: forgot to mention that the nonstop bugs play a big part too. They rarely get fixed, and it just gets worse every patch.

  • Honestly, I'm also currently thinking about just not playing anymore. I have played this game almost every day, sometimes for hours, but my friend who I played with has lost motivation due to too many unplayable games (bad and useless teammates, dc's, toxic plays, extremely sweaty killers). It's gotten so bad we rarely see a normal or fun game for both sides anymore. And playing solo is even worse. So I'm really starting to understand why people are quitting - I'm starting to think about that myself.

  • @SadonicShadow said:

That i was supposed to try and attempt too pull myself off the hook. My friend quickly told me not to do that XD.

Same, did this on my first few games until I figured out it just makes you die faster.

Dream transition was WAYYYYYY to long without add ons. No other killer had to wait that long after finding someone to just M1 them.

Yeah, that's true. But then again, he was invisible with only a TR in form of vague music. Unless you catched some lowkey moving grass, you were oftentimes at a loss as to where to hide or where to run to.

  • It's not specifically an 'anti-tunnel' perk, it just helps when tunneled. It's also not a free escape, or does it magically send the survivor using it beyond the exit gates? They can still be caught few seconds later, and that actually happens quite often. I get that for some killers, the perk consumes time. Sometimes the survivor can even break the chase and get away. Happens. You won't always get a 4k.

  • @ClogWench said:

I mean they got 5 gens done and found a way to escape. Not really a great example of the key being op.

Idk why this is so funny but I'm cRying.

  • Quentin: looks nothing like the cutie he's portraying. Boring clothes. No other cosmetics. Really lame perks.

Jane: when injured, she sounds like straight up giving birth. Very annoying.

    Jeff: w a y too loud.

Nea: I kinda dislike her constant edgy theme. Hate her base clothes. All her hairstyles are wack, except the green hair (but after the rework, that one also looks kinda bad).

  • I won't miss playing against old Freddy at all, but many many people underestimate him and his Potential if played right. I've my fair share of matches against good Freddys. They're nervracking. Not fun at all, for me personally, but it's certain that he isn't nearly as weak as people claim him to be.

  • @BadMrFrosty said:

Let's see. I won't talk about how this rework feels lazy and uninspired, as I think that has already been covered in prior posts. What I will say though is that Freddy is likely going to be mid tier -at best-, and I feel like I'm highballing it at the moment out of desperation to have that two year wait not be a total waste. Otherwise:

    • Snares are just as easy to counter as clown gas. Drop the pallet early and he has nothing. I said this even before the PTB went live.
    • Dream pallets are kind of gimmicky, and won't be as effective against good survivors that know how pallets generally spawn and in what sort of configuration.
    • Three ways to wake up and invalidate his power.
    • Teleport is nice to make use of generator perks and definitely needed for traversing big maps. You'll probably never get anything more than a gen kick out of it 99% of the time to be honest.
    • Most of his add-ons are, and I don't say this lightly, some of the worst, most unoriginal garbage I've seen yet. They took add-ons that were strong for old Freddy and basically gutted every single one of them. Oh, and should we talk about BVHR's mandatory "causes blind, hemorrhage, etc." crap that they have been copy pasting on a bunch of killers lately? Creatively bankrupt.

It's gotten to the point that I'm not even disappointed or mad, just kind of indifferent. I expect nothing out of BVHR anymore.

Regarding the dream pallets, if I understand it right, the killer can choose the location? So when a good survivor with map knowledge can see if pallets are in a "wrong spot", then the killer has to choose the spots that are "right", which is the opposite side of the coin. If the killer doesn't have the map knowledge to make right calls, that doesn't make the fake pallets weak, but it means that the killer isn't as good as the survivor in that regard, and that's just how it be sometimes.
