Yes it's still scary.
I played against 4 blendettes with flashlights a month or so ago, foolishly thinking I could beat them. I still sometimes wake up screaming.
being scared as the killer shouldn't be a thing:P

A good teammate is someone who actually does gens, makes smart saves, and makes relatively good decisions. You don't need to be good in a chase to be good at DBD, although I find the chases to be the only fun part of it so I have engaged in them enough I would say I am relatively good at them.
I am saying I have watched, as the obsession is across the map being chased, (using resources); my teammates hiding behind rocks and bushes while fully healthy and never been hooked. It literally just happened in the game I played because I haven't played survivor in so long i'm back at rank 9. But it happens all the way at rank 1-4 as well.
I am sitting on a gen injured after the killer had to abandon a chase with me, and they are standing behind the tree near me because we are in the 40m monitor and abuse terror radius and they are too scared to get on it and actually progress the game. That's how you lose. And we lost. It was a hatch game, and I keyed out. There was a survivor who went down next to the basement, which already had someone in it, to finish a gen. I had to rush down there to get the guy out before he got a 2 man basement and ended the game. Then I had to abandon the shack and go to unsafe loops where I got downed so my teammates could make a basement save and they slacked so hard on it he almost got back in time. None of that had anything to do with gameplay ability, that was all decision making, and poor decision making.
that fair sound liek case bad matchmaking remember I play solo you know all tho thing I do I'm normally the last hooked first hooked something I did everything gens totems hook safes my team let me die on first hook and 3 of them get out so I know how it feel.

That doesn't matter? The killer should not automatically get a down because they found you. The killer tracking perks are just way too strong for that.
I hate having immersed survivors on my team. It's literally painful to watch someone urban evading around while there is a clear indicator someone else is being chased. I can't put on bond in solo Q because I will rage at how incompetent my team is most of the time. And it's not even for being bad in a chase, it's just for simple decision making. Hiding when your team is being killed off and you are 100% safe to do gens. That's why I mori every blendette I come across.
good thing I don't use blendette but I use urban evade and spine chill,I like to know what incompetent in a teammate to you
I maybe urban evading around but I doing gens and totems (I don't use a map or tho perks) still find 3 or 4 ,take people off hook safely(no BT) and if I can't and the killers camping I'll trade hooks sometimes and I don't use 2nd change perks.I'm a solo rank 3
so I like to know what a good teammate is

I will admit that many killers are very overtuned right now, and some could probably use a general nerf across the board. They feel designed for the pallet infested maps of old, where-as many of the new maps are barren and give little option to the survivors other than to hide. And I like DBD as an action game instead of hide-and-seek which is why I am disappointed in the way the game is headed.
well I like the hide-and-seek of the game but all survivors are different also play both sides so I know how killer feel why they want to end a chase.

Well I find it hard to believe that most Killers are total #########, but if that´s your experience, I´m sorry for you, you have to be unbelievably unlucky in this regard.
Secondly treating everybody disrespectful until they earn it is an (literally) unhealthy mindset. Many people I know would eagerly take you round the corner to teach you some if you´d behave like that, you know?
I have a feeling he one of tho survivor that disrespect the killer at the start why killer becomes an a hole.

like ok dc are going way down but suicide on first hook are going up yea that better.

I find looping fun as killer. The only loops I dont like are the bs ones where you can't mindgame or do anything about it. Looping is fun for both sides, because it gives both sides a chance to outplay each other. And yes, looping was meant for this game, because if it wasn't, why would the devs make loops?
loop it up they weren't meant for the game the game was hide and seek game survivor find the way to loop and the dev kept them now they are part of the game.
as killer you normal wouldn't like loops because killers want to end the chase soon as they can because gen pop to fast.
if gens didn't go as fast killer would like chasing a lot more but how the game is that not the case.
hillbilly in your name I can see why you like chases try slower killer see if you still like them.
-
survivors are just the most toxic because for the most part it easy role even with out swf it not hard.I mean your not all going to get out every match and your going to get bad team mates but sometime but even solo get out a winner.
but most toxic are the swf groups who know they broken think they all that.
@Terro said:
It's not that they can't earn respect. It's that survivors hold killers to a much much higher standard. A respected killer needs to be able to stall a game out for as long as possible without using a strong killer, strong (crutch) perks, paying any attention (camping) to hooks, any form of tunneling, slugging, any other tactic that might seem scummy (3 gen, blood warden, etc), playing unfairly, and finally they always go for 12 hooks.
Meanwhile, killers seem to "respect" anyone that can loop for 20 seconds without overusing pallets or fall for the 1st mind game. It's easy to lose that respect but low standards guys... Real low standards.
funny survivor use every dirty trick in the book survivors shouldn't have any respect because everything they have.
survivors want respect win match with no items no add on and no perks because survivor can do it that ways
-
@Auron471 said:
Bruh, What.
Camping =! Looping lmao
camping pallets will usually end up making the survivor do worse, and looping is literally what the game is meant to be. Fun for both sides.
Camping hooks, its annoying AF b/c the killer is literally is preventing someone from playing the game.
This is a troll post right?
sorry looping was not meant for this game also looping not fun for both sides
looping fun for one the survivors

So right there is a pretty good reason to just dc/suicide and go next whenever it’s slinger. You’ve basically answered your own question. Why would you want to play this game when your strategy is to hide (unless you’re new/bad)
you know this game normal gameplay was meant to be hide and seek right? not loop the killer till all gens are done where we are now.

How do you use stealth against a killer with a TR that tiny? Most Deathslingers run M&A and his TR spins up much more quietly than the default TR. He plays like a T2 Dead Rabbit Myers with M&A.
I'm with you on this his TR needs looking at because your right everyone uses M&A like people use strider for spirit.

who in the right mind going to buy the base game again for a theme.

why most idea for Legion feel/look like nerfs.

why people can't do bones beyond me.

slugging not good reason to dc also killer should never get punished for playing that way.

I don't know if dev care keep vets at this point new player not going to stay.

the event are getting worse and worse as this game keeps going.

I hate chases as survivor and killer,as survivor my fun when I hide so good killer walk right past me like I wasn't there.killer never like chases they wont them to end as fast they can survivors don't get that or they do don't care.
till gens don't go as fast that how it will be for killers survivor need to understand that.

I would argue there's actually even less point to what you're saying. The whole game is literally hide and seek, so saying it's a losing game when the amount of pressure that SHOULD have been on the survivors from the start is suddenly making the game completely unenjoyable is absolutely ridiculous.
The issue with this IS the loss of points for the killers. Survivors may have a harder time with fewer players, but by no means is the game unwinnable with only three players.
not unwinnable with 3 I seen 3 survivors do 3 gens fast.

and as they are removed from your queue group you will have longer queue times as killer and survivor and they will have constant games.... you like that option? sounds like a reward, not a punishment!
as those that will keep dcing, they'll either stop after so long and hope for a time that their counters reset or stop playing. that's the point of them getting longer and longer penalties. plus the penalties were just put back up and people don't read so they probably didn't notice they were back till they dc'd and then it's time out for them! a great time honestly.
pretty much what I was saying who want longer queue i feel more then half the player base dc so far dc almost every match still and the disconnecting-penalties on.
yea great time when we have to wait an hour for a match because everyone in a ban.

Bots could potentially be a great addition to the game. I don't see what they're waiting for, Killers would still be getting their hooks and survivors would have that bot still doing gens/saving other survivors
been wanting bots for every get rid DC penalties bring in the bots,bots maybe better then the survivor who dced anyways.
-

That's my problem with the DC penalties being reactivated. People don't care about waiting the time as long as they get their perfect match
DC penalties pointless we just need bots with killer don't matter if they dc it like an escape for the survivors they can just start a new game
I feel like killers should be allowed to dc or allowed near the end because for the most point it don't hurt survivor they not stuck in the game
maybe killer sick of the bully match sorry it happens a lot Ive dced after be pissed normally in egc or all five gens done(I know pointless) but if all 4 survivors are alive and kicking at this point I had it.
ps I never dc or kill my self on hook if the DC penalties was for survivors only I wouldn't care as much.

That's why the DC penalties should be harsher. Maybe it'll finally show those DCers a thing of what not to do
dude I had 20 games all had one or two people dc and few killer soon they wont be a game everyone going to have a ban.
-
@Moundshroud said:
I'd love to seem them try a new punishment for patterns of DC behavior. Instead of banning them, they get routed to a smaller Que made up entirely of people who, you guessed it, have a pattern of DC behavior. It will likely be smaller, slower ques, and infuriating to play in since they will be dealing with other people just like themselves.
On a good note they will have a path to redemption rather than timed ban. They are stuck in that Que (with their own ilk) until they complete a certain number of games (fully played legitimately) without disconnecting. They prove they can be have like adults and they get to come back to the adult que. They lapse again, back they go to DC Que hell.
if they did that I'm sure dc Q be the normal game and the normal(normal)Q would be the smaller pool of peopleI was just in a match 3 dc at the start and the killer gave me hatch.this next after that killer dced.
disconnecting-penalties doing nothing almost feel like dc have rise more with the dc-penalties back on.
-
@Terro said:
It stops killers from dcing. It frees up the queue for ppl who don't DC, plus at the very least dying on 1st hook buys a little more time.
what it matter if the killer dc or not it the survivors that ruin the game when they dc killer dc they lose all they points and depip but for survivors it like an escape for the survivors keeping they points everything.
I know survivors try get the killer to dc so they can have the lol about it.

@Impermanent said:
This whole DC discussion is just so stupid... what are the ACTUAL EFFECTS of aggravated survivors choosing to avoid the DC penalty?
The survivor gets downed and angry. But instead of DC'ing he waits. The following things possibly happen:
- The killer hooks him and he suicides on hook. How did this improve the gameplay?
- The killer hooks him and a teammate saves him before he can suicide. Small chance he plays a bit more. More likely he just runs to the killer or otherwise doesn't play normally because he just wants out of this match.
- The killer leaves him on the ground to bleed out. This is one of the reasons people DC. Now he has to lay there doing nothing while the killer revels in his own toxicity. So now you're exacerbating a bad situation and rewarding the toxic killer while pushing away a survivor.
- The killer leaves him slugged but a teammate saves him. Again some chance that he plays normally. More likely the teammate gets hit/downed healing him and/or he doesn't play normally but just lets himself get downed again.
The only situation where the DC penalty does any good is when the angry survivor ends up getting saved and plays the rest of the match normally. I am telling you this is maybe 10% of the time. 20% max.
Stop trying to force people to play through bad situations that are caused by your own bad game design. Let them enjoy the good and skip the bad. All you're doing is pissing people off that want to enjoy the good aspects of your game.
why DC penalty is pointless people want it normal because they want it to use other survivors as meat shield or for killer they want to bully him more only reason people hate other people dcing or killing them self on hook.

I’m surprised we haven’t got avatars yet. If we do, I wouldn’t be surprised if they locked them behind another expensive special edition like they’re doing with the themes. Not many people have talked about it, but there is a PS4 Silent Hill theme that is exclusive to a $50 Silent Hill edition.
I changed my post and I know and I'm a little pissed people who got the chapter in the sony store should of also got the theme because we don't get anything do buying it that way anymore like 2nd outfit top something..

This could also hint at certain PS4 themes having PS5 compatible versions in development.
That theme looks pretty cool. Shame it’s locked behind a $30 special edition and I already have all the chapters.
this not fair we been asking for dbd themes and avatar for ps4 for year we have it but we have to but something for $30 this sucks I also have all chapters.
ok there silent hill one to this blows

We're not specifically talking about basement hooks. We are talking about DC and I'm pointing out that killing urself is better than DC.
you said it better for them to kill them self on hook because it get rid of that hook but if it the basement hooks it don't matter.

Survivors killing themself on the hook at least removes those hooks off the map which helps as oppose to DC'ing on the way to the hook.
not if they hooked in the basement.

mori are also essential part of the game(being a horror game and all) so what your point.

-
no there want to give every one lot ban have the game die.
but really bot be better because the bots be better then the perosn who dc anyways this only hurts killer survivors just going to kill them self on first hook if the want out.

And I distinctly remember fewer people disconnecting on a whim when the DC bans were enabled and not nearly as many complaints about the first hook deaths.
I do remember a lot of thread people bad wording about survivors killing them self I don't know where you were yes DC will be lower but first hook death will rise so will the bad wording about it like they can do anything about it.

@dugman said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1679580#Comment_1679580
It's not pointless, disconnecting on a down, etc, is about a lack of impulse control and temper problems. Players who disconnect don't always have the patience to even wait for a first hook and just disconnect and take the ban. So having the ban does remove those players who do it repeatedly from the game for extended periods. Players who instead wait for a hook at least have the opportunity to cool their jets before killing themselves and may change their mind.
normally they kill them self you know how I know because now that it back were going to see a lot of thread can we do something about survivor killing them self on first hook.
