I support this, I hate it when the killer bleeds me bc theres no hooks nearby. Or when I have to either bleed someone or just let them wiggle out because I got some kills. It kind of just punishes the killer for winning by potentially preventing hooks.
Easy solution to the first situation is to crawl to a hook. That's what I do.

Unfortunately not anymore. They offered vouchers initially but that ended September 2022

I was expecting like 50% off too so was a bit bummed. I already had Zarinas, so just grabbed Meg, Kate, and Jake. Not sure I want the others though I probably would have grabbed them if 50% off lol

I believe it's the DLC pack that doesn't give the charms. I bought a few of the cosmetics this morning, individually, in the sale and got some charms

Again those walls, loops and pallets are there regardles of mft
Again if a 130% killer can't catch a 103% survivor with MfT then why was it not a problem before MfT that a 125% killer couldn't catch a 100% survivor?
Untill you actually answer that question you are admitting that it was a gross overexaguration and by dancing around that question you are the one trolling
Yeah, I just watched Skermz and Swarm using MFT+Hope against Sadako. She hit one while they were looping shack, and then when they made a beeline for the exit gate she caught up to them and hit the other. I think the MFT+Hope combo is too strong and the two perks shouldn't synergise, but the Sadako wasn't even at BL3 and she managed to hit both. I don't even think she was at BL2. MFT on its own? Hard to imagine she'd struggle. Not buying it either.

its really a strong perk ngl, i managed to 1v1 a killer with hope + made for this in endgame and saved my entire team, its definitely strong that's for sure. It allows you to greed pallets way more and I kind of wanna do a meme build with a friend to push the build even further with the speed increasing perks ik that isn't likely to work well, but I just find it funny how fast you can get with just hope and made for this.
In that scenario, I would argue Hope is carrying MFT and not the other way around. Hope is 5-7% speed increase. MFT is 3%. Remove the stacking of the two if necessary and it's fine.

Or it could be a case that there aren’t enough veteran killers to play with these survivors to begin with.
If veteran killer numbers have dropped off then veteran survivor numbers likely have too. Especially since lots of people play both roles. You only have to read past threads asking who lobby dodges to see a lot of players do, and their reasoning is usually always that they want easier games (ie solo players instead of swfs)

Friday The 13th chapter makes the most sense.
Lawsuit has been resolved for some time now and Jason has always had a standing invitation in this game according to the game director.
In the anniversary stream the devs said next killers are licensed "with a big L". The next chapter has killer survivor and a map. Survivor is easily Tommy Jarvis and the map is easily Crystal Lake.
Friday the 13th the game recently announced it will be removed from stores at the end of the year and be shutdown completely a year after that.
So yeah it all points to friday the 13th at the moment, one of the most anticipated licenses in DBD ever.
Why might it not be f13?
Well devs like to surprise and f13 is looking pretty obvious right now so maybe they would know that and so it will actually be something else.
Maybe lawsuit has not been over for long enough for this chapter to be complete yet.
Maybe it's not even planned for whatever reason.
Either way f13 is probably the best educated guess you could have.
I wouldn't accept Jason without a Crystal Lake map, so fingers crossed

I'd take 10 Singularity games over 1 SM game tbh

I’ll continue to shop for lobbies as long as I keep getting potential cheaters and 6-8k hour players thanks
Uh you realize you're probably getting those 6-8k survivors because the veteran killers who were originally matched with them have likely dodged? So less experienced killers end up as backfill. If lobby dodging is stopped then chances are you'll likely stop getting those survivors.

Hasn't been said yet, but i'll also point out that the perk was just updated and players are obviously going to want to try it out. As surprising as it may be, when a new perk comes out or one is updated it'll have a higher usage for a time.
This too. It's the same with the MFT + Hope stacking that after a few days people are trying to call the "new meta." People like to try new things. They've forgotten that after Hyperfocus came out, everyone used it with Stakeout for like a week or two because it was something new, then dropped it. I never see that combo now.
-
I don't mind it. I've been getting it quite alot and have only escaped from it once, so my enjoyment of it has nothing to do with whether its in my favour or not as a survivor. There's a particular dead zone that can be a PITA but overall I like it.
-
Devs said zoning 3 gens from the start isn't the way the game is intended to be played, so yes, Deja Vu was changed to deal with it. Gen regression perks got nerfed for the same reason. You can blame survivors all you like but the devs didn't want 3 gen stallmates either. They're even still working on a longterm solution to it.
And it's funny you think survivors want "easy mode" when you admit to 3 genning and are complaining about losing the gen kick meta perks. As if all of that wasn't easy mode.
-
@Shroompy said:
Isnt it only a 6% repair boost???
thats barely a 5 second difference from start to finish
Yup. It's only 1% more than it was previously (5% to 6% boost) when barely anyone used it.
Most people are likely using it to track gen placement, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was mostly solo survivors bringing it (who can't coordinate with each other to bring the perk obviously, but they'd have been disproportionately affected by the 3 gen from the start strat)

Maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but I'd prefer they only make contracts with licences that will allow continued sale of content using that licence so long as the game exists/is still live. I'm not really here for the limited time 1 year, 3 years and so on licences. Especially with cross progression not existing across platforms still, if people switch they cannot use that content. And I feel like it alienates new players, missing out on these licenced killers, survivors and cosmetics that they see everyone else being able to use. It also creates fomo, with people urgently spending money that they shouldn't be spending or just don't have. Idk, just not for me, I'd rather them only go for licences that aren't limited.
If that was the choice offered to BHVR with AoT, then I doubt the license would have happened at all. It would have cost them heaps more than just a 1 year contract, with no way of breaking the agreement if sales did not pan out. Chances are it's not cost effective to extend the agreement (provided that was an option) based on current sales of the cosmetics.
-
I'm not even using MFT anymore (tried it for a few days, prefer exhaustion perks) but if it gets nerfed I'm done buying future survivors. If the complaints just happen once in awhile then sure, I'd listen and make an effort to understand, but I can't take them seriously anymore when they're happening every single chapter. It's genuinely a case of certain vocal people wanting survivors to have nothing decent. And if it's not new perks it's old perks, some that have been around for several years, that literally no one complained about until recently all of a sudden.

Sorry thought it was longer than that.
The contract ending does seem likely then. Still, one year contract is pretty good for skins.
Agreed, I think a year is fine. Once the novelty wears off they wouldn't be making much sales.
-
@BlightedDolphin said:
I’m honestly surprised that it took this long to remove them. Most cosmetic collabs in games are only limited time but this lasted a few years.
Also unlike Stranger Things, this actually has a chance to come back at some point even if it’s just as a limited time sale.
One year. They came out July 19 2022 and are leaving July 19 2023. Likely just a 12 month licensing agreement that's ending.

Honestly it worries me. For a while now I had to play on a very old lpaotp with wonky unstable internet. And my penalty has been going up to even 24 hours. When I've been getting disconnected because of things out of my control. I've been playing since 2018, with more than 3k hours and alot of money spent and I don't want to end up getting banned over something like this.
Best bet is probably to avoid playing until your internet issues are resolved. We had wild weather last week in my area and after the power went out two nights in a row, I simply didn't play for the next few nights, just in case, until it was resolved.

Hey, if you've got a link to any of these, I'd appreciate it.
I've looked at a few of the usual suspects and they don't seem to explain WHAT they are doing to achieve these results.
I'm talking base level HOW. The whole teleport thing seems to be completely glossed over in anything I've watched?
I've only watched Bronx and he's really good with him. This killer has a high learning curve and involves plenty of multitasking (which isn't something that comes naturally to everyone), so it's really just a case of practice, practice, practice. I've noticed a massive improvement in the Singularitys I went up against yesterday compared to the ones I went up against on release. Yesterday they all got 4ks. Just gotta put the hours in.
-
There are consequences. If I'm holding a medkit and EMP, then I can't heal a team mate with my medkit. If I put the EMP down, it despawns. There are many significant moments in a game where time is valuable, and being able to hold both a special item and survivor item at the same time is a hindrance.
-
The license was likely just a 12 month one, and paying for it again when sales of these outfits are probably low now doesn't make sense for a business trying to turn a profit
-
MFT has only been out a few days. I'd hardly determine a meta perk that quick. Believe it or not but people just want to try out new perks and builds. They usually drop them after a short while.
-
If that's what will help you then go for it

The amount of times I get stuck on a rock or object hidden by plants and get downed... sure, remove the clutter

In theory, yes. In practice I will be the one that is tunneled. 😂
But yes, it's strong and can be paired with Resilience, a toolbox etc. But it's also a bit "boring", not super interactive and I never run a build like that for more than two or three matches in a row.
Same. I need variety. At the moment I'm using Deja Vu as my gen perk, but i also have a healing perk, a chase perk, and then miscellaneous perk (usually doing a tome challenge so will equipt something to help with that)
-
I like it in general, I think the visuals and sounds are nice. I think they toned the clutter down from what I saw on the PTB streams. There's a pretty open dead zone in one section (I stupidly ran across it and got exposed by GF instantly) and in one of my other games last night there was a hardcore tunnelling Wesker who had no problem finding his target/s on the map. It'd suck more for ranged killers though. Faced a Deathslinger on there also and try as he might he couldn't spear me.
-
I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting a 4k or wanting to escape. It's the not being able to handle a loss that seems to be alot of peoples issue, especially since the game is designed for you to lose every now and then (by giving you tougher opponents).
-
I tried it but prefer my exhaustion perk. I might use it every now and then in my build rotations (I like to change it up a bit every week) though. I know it can work with Lithe, if you can avoid fast vaulting in chase before injured, but I'm not using two perk slots on chase.
-
I believe the killswitch was delayed because of issues with their service provider, which was likely because of all the fires in Canada
-
I played on the Switch for over 2 years. On the PS5 now. My biggest issue with Switch is how slow the camera is, even at 100% sensitivity.

Survivors could see if their team mate was wounded and chased and decide either to risk it and continue working or try to wait a bit and let eruption trigger, avoid incapacitation and continue to repair it. But I guess when there's something that requires to think for more than few seconds is too oppressing and inconvenient and thus has no place in this game anymore.
You know survivors could see when a team mate was injured before the HUD right? And as such knew they were in chase?
And stopping working on a gen when your team mate might continue to carry chase for longer than it takes to finish the gen is potentially throwing the game. You can't just stop working on a gen when someone is in chase. It's not a counter when you're directly doing nothing. May as well of just copped Incapacitated if the alternative is just standing there for an undetermined amount of time waiting for a team mate to drop

You're a survivor though so they'll just say that you need to get good. But not too good, because then you'll become oppressive, deny a 4k, and need to be nerfed.
-
Devs said they're working on a long term solution for the 3 genning (from the start) strat, because its not how the game is intended to be played. Just gonna have to persevere until it's done.

I gotta say, the weirdest for me was playing against Sadako on Toba's Landing. Sadako on an alien planet. I was so amused.

@LeFreezy said:
Played against him for, like, 8 times and we had 3-4 man escapes in almost every game.
Yeah, it's a new killer and ppl still need to find an optimal way of playing but still, EMPs mess him up a lot. Survivors constantly had EMPs and used them to get rid of multiple slipstreams/biopods thus wasting all the effort killer put into setting/spectating and infecting survivors.
Some cluttered maps are a nightmare for him and sometimes it feels like he can't infect a survivor sitting on the gen even though most part of their body must've been visible through the biopod.
People are just still learning the most efficient way to play. I had one game where he was placing his pods right next to gens - I'm talking like if there was a rock next to the gen, he'd place it there and in a place he couldn't even see the gen. I don't think he knew he could place them higher and with a view of the gen. No one on the team even bothered getting EMPs. Had another who in the first half of the game was placing multiple pods around hooked people. Nothing near the gens. Think he was trying to use them to sorta camp from a distance? I dunno. Bringing EMPs to an unhook was necessary and he gave up on it quickly.
-
I actually think it's really nice visually. I find myself stopping to look at things all the time. The shadow that we see of a flying creature, I thought it was just a shadow but looked up once and there actually is something flying through the sky. I also like that weird bulb thing that sprinkles water lol the sounds are nice too - very ASMR in some places
-
I think it's fine.
-
I've had a few but it's being rivalled by Wesker, I'm assuming since he's bugged atm and apparently can become invisible (haven't seen it yet)
-
I had a Singularity try this at the start of the game (pods around hook) but I guess he decided it was a waste of time because he stopped doing it a couple hooks later. Two of us went for an unhook at one stage and healed the person under the hook and all 3 of us got hit with a pod. I had an EMP though and that helped. It's not an effective form of camping imo.

I feel like you don’t even play killer 😂 heavily disagree with every one of your points. Hackers have already proven after less than 10 wins you go against max mmr. What are you even saying
Considering the devs have confirmed high MMR is a tiny percentage of the playerbase, I highly doubt there are enough high MMR survivors to go around. Especially considering pretty much every killer main who comes on this forum seems to think they're constantly playing against high MMR survivors. The game is designed to give you more difficult opponents as you progress. That doesn't mean you're suddenly playing high MMR.
-
I've had 8 games, 3 against the Singularity
-
I've played 5 games with Gabriel's perks and didn't find any of them overly impressive. Not even MFT. Certainly not game changing. I feel like it's gonna be a scapegoat perk every time someone has a bad game.
-
A dev said that MFT and FTP don't work together to gain endurance. MFT requires you to be injured to gain the endurance, while FTP requires you to be healthy.

You’re right, but it’s definitely a factor with it. Cause my games have been going really quick since this new update
And each game at least one person brought Deja Vu
Because the perk only just got updated. Just like people will be trying Gabriel's perks because they just got released. People like to try new things to see if they're worth incorporating into builds, or simply just to try them out. Deja Vu was 5% before and barely anyone used it. Now it's 6%, which isn't much better. People will try it out and most will probably drop it like they did before.
-
Haven't played against him yet sadly. Had a Hag, Pig, and Freddy so far.
