its tbagging, but for killers.
Funny thing is, its creation has been credited to a popular survivor main streamer

I usually assume a Wraith will camp and tunnel when I see one. I feel it happens more often than not. They cloak and hang around hook a lot

In July 2022 I sampled random solo queue streams on Twitch and the average solo queue escape rate seemed to be around ~30%. This is my experience in solo as well. Although keep in mind, 30% average can mean you win 5/10 matches one day (50%), and then you lose 9 matches out of 10 the next day (10%).
I do not believe the official killrate of 60%, at least not for the vast majority of players. It has become comical that simple challenges like "escape 2 times with perk XYZ" or even "open the exit gates" have become so tedious that we regularly see people complain about them on the forum. I'm frustrated about solo queue and I don't even play to win, I can't imagine how it must be for people who actually try, lol.
Yeah I just looked over my games for the last month and my solo escape rate is 28% for those 4 weeks. This doesn't include hatch though, as the game doesn't count hatch as an escape so I don't either.
-
Best time to get them is the first few days of the event imo. Which sucks for those who aren't available to play then. I got them all in less than 20 survivor games. They're much easier to get as killer though, so killers will get them fast and any that were playing a bit more chill will go back to playing normally. As above, better off getting them as killer.
-
I hate saying it but don't go into a game as survivor hoping to escape. You'll just end up disappointed.
And I'm not sure what else they could add to make things more interesting for survivors without escape rates plummeting even more. As you experienced, even getting gens done is a chore most games and doesn't happen before everyone is dead. My games are the same.
-
They'll drop the number required. They've done it before.
-
Yup, it's 3 times. It wasn't working for me so I did it twice in the next game and still nothing. Did it three times in the next game and it worked.
-
I turned off messaging on the PS5 the moment I moved onto that platform. Once a game is over I let it go and move on. I don't need to consistently rehash it because someone else can't let it go.

bro wdym lmao
"Nerf blight/nurse/wesker"
"Tunneling! Camping! Slugging!"
Context please. He was referring to high MMR survivors complaining that they go against too difficult killers and wanting BHVR to (apparently) adjust their SBMM so they get baby killers. That's not happening. Those complaints don't exist. If veteran Blights are ending up in baby survivor lobbies it's likely because they're using a simple tool available to them - lobby dodging.

Nope

There are not enough killer players for the matchmaking to work properly. Anyone who plays killer consistently knows this to be true. You can win a few games and immediately be matching up against survivors way out of your league.
Except it's the same playing survivor. I can usually predict when I'm about to get a more experienced killer or a less experienced killer based on my cycle of wins and losses. I have a notepad where I record everything and it's like clockwork.
-
I find once i get to iri rank that it's hard to pip up. I read up on the emblem points (on the DBD wiki) often to remind myself what I need to do, though thanks to the faster pace of games at that level (or at least it feels that way) I usually end up with a safety pip. Two of your team mates exited early, which probably wouldn't have helped as you get points for some of their accomplishments also, plus you lose points for some of their failures which doesnt help. I'm iri 4 at the moment and only JUST got a pip for my last game and I literally never left the killer's side - was doing gens in his terror radius, taking protection hits, healing everyone, unhooking, etc. Like, I worked hard for that pip lol
-
There's no way Nic Cage ok'd a bunch of mediocre perks. He would surely insist they be good.
-
I prefer the bots to be difficult, personally. The more challenging is it, the better I learn. As someone who has played against the Singularity, you know when he's looking through the pod - it makes a sound and lights up. So real survivors may also respond as the bots do. Singularity has a high learning curve, he's not easy (I've tried)

So the top MMR survivors were complaining about having sweating games all the time so they made the matchmaking giving more relaxed games for them sometimes…and harder games for you. Now the Blight they were supposed to get matched with is in your lobby.
Survivors aren't the ones complaining lol this forum is full of killers complaining that they go against sweaty swfs apparently every single game and frequently requesting survivor nerfs as a result. Killers also have the option to lobby shop, survivors don't. It's more likely that this killer dodges certain lobbies until they find easier ones. And I feel comfortable saying this because you can search for past discussions on this forum regarding lobby dodging and see for yourself how popular it is. BHVR don't need to mess with SBMM, they have killers messing with it enough.
-
I changed platforms at the start of the year, so none of my survivors are high prestige or get dodged, but I think BHVR need to hurry up and just hide prestige until endgame. I get matched with my fair share of P100 or simply high prestige survivors, and if they're not the ones who go down 20 secs into chase then they're definitely the ones who chuck a hissy fit when something doesn't go their way and ruin the game for everyone else. There's the rare exceptions. Yet killers still dodge those lobbies.
If BHVR have faith in their SBMM system then hiding prestige won't make a difference except to ensure ridiculous backfilling stops.
-
Yeah, I haven't said much on this topic but I agree survivors got jibbed on this one. If I miss the pallet stun then the killer gets the down because we are still in the drop animation, so I've kind of not been bothering with that one. They could have at least waited until the animation was done, just thrown us a second or something. It's not like we have unlimited party pallets at our disposal to run a killer for 5 gens, but they still chose to make it so we get stun or nothing. And all that's even if the pallet even materialises because it's hard during chase (at least for me on console, R3 isn't something I need to use often so the muscle memory isn't there).

Yes they are strong. Unlike Singularity that has 20 useless add-on and the add-on that do something get nerfed from survivor complaining.
I didn't see a single complaint about it. If survivor complaints got add on nerfs then Blights would have been nerfed ages ago. BHVR change things up at times, including add ons, for their own reasons.
-
Do you have cross-play turned off? I've been playing for a few years and I think the longest I've ever waited for a game was like 2 min. 45 min does not seem right at all.

I'm seeing him regularly. Haven't seen a SM in weeks though

I had a P90-something David pulling the same sort of stunts yesterday

Honestly, people just love to complain about anything that might present a challenge to them.
Med-kits? They should be designed for self-care yet they got nerfed hardcore. If survivors can already heal other survivors without needing a med-kit then why waste a medkit on them unless you’re going for a speed boost? Every medkit is essentially the same now unless you’re using it on someone else (indirect nerf to Pharmacy because of this.) For some reason survivors being able to heal themselves is a major issue for people. Give us a perk that provides a small speed boost when we are injured to compensate? No, that’s unfair too!
Dead Hard? The first nerf was enough. DH was in the game long enough without the balance being broken, and its current state is practically a waste. Do I disagree that it needed a change? No, but they took it too far. Decisive Strike? Can’t be used during endgame because if a killer downs you then it only makes logical sense that you should have no advantage to escape - they deserve the kill after all (sarcasm.) Circle of Healing? Pretty much useless now. If the self-heal was that bad of a problem then just nerf the healing speed for self care while keeping the altruistic boost. Botany Knowledge? It’s going to waste your medkits now when the actual logical solution was just to disable it while using a medkit.
Seriously, if you can get value from something on the survivor end people are going to want it gone whether it’s imbalanced or not. Within the last week I’ve seen posts or comments complaining and asking to nerf the following: Adrenaline, Hope, Deja Vu, Boil Over, Distortion, Hyperfocus, Resilience, For the People, and Windows of Opportunity. I’d also like to point out that in comparison to MFT people are beginning to point out Dark Theory’s poor state - yet before this chapter was released all I ever saw when ppl complained about this perk were responses like “it’s fine, it’s a great perk as is.” Because, of course, bad perks end up benefitting the killer.
I hate being that guy that’s one side vs the other but c’mon, all I ever see are complaints about how everything a survivor does or has is too strong and unfair and it’s old.
Killers: Genrushing is a problem, no more gen perks for survivors
BHVR: hmm maybe a new exhaustion perk?
Killers: No! Clutch second chance perk!
BHVR: Maybe a new endurance perk?
Killers: No! Third health state!
BHVR: maybe a new aura perk?
Killers: No! Too much info!
BHVR: maybe a new chase perk?
Killers: No! Haste is problematic!
BHVR: healing perk?
Killers: No! Too OP!
BHVR: Oh, maybe an anti-tunnelling perk
Killers: No! It's a legit strategy
BHVR: Anti-camping?
Killers: strategy!
BHVR: ....

Why not? I got them during the 5th anniversary and it's not like I sold a kidney to do so. It really wasn't that hard and it's not a massive accomplishment. It's a game.

Shame I don't drink caffeine :(

I like it. I think the map is beautiful, though I haven't seen it since the visual update. Killer is unique. Survivor looks cool. Overall I think it's a good one.

And then whatever that is will be overly talked about too and will be “monitored” by the devs. It’s an endless cycle that will never be broken.
Just bring on Nicolas Cage and his perks, so they can get up in arms over the next "OP" survivor perk and we'll stop hearing about MFT like we did Blood Rush and Fogwise. It's like clockwork at this point.
-
Since I moved platforms at the start of the year I have to unlock all perks again. So no P100s, just alot of P1s.
-
More than likely people have had time to learn Singularity now and are doing better with him. These changes are probably purely a numbers thing to try balance his kill rates out. Not sure why the comparison to MFT. If MFT were increasing escape rates then they'd see that too
-
I'll go against the grain and say I think you can bring, or not bring, anything you like. It's not an issue. My games have been fine for the most part so I'm bringing one every game, but it's not often I'll see 5 cakes so it's not like every single person is showing up with the goods. Some killers bringing survivor pudding instead and you kind of know how the game is going to go when you see that.

Aside from what I think is a typo with 6.6 m/s listed for Sprint burst (you have it correctly as 6.0 elsewhere) this is roughly right, but represents a worst case upper bound for chase time.
Some hidden assumptions here are that the killer isn't using their power in any way (so for example a huntress hatchet or exposed ability could just end the chase within 10 seconds regardless of move speed).
You're also assuming that chases are lasting upwards of 40+seconds, but not including any estimate of a lower bound with bloodlust. This actually can impact the comparison by quite a bit, since Sprint burst and overcome could cause the chase to drop and not only reset the bl timer, but also prevent chase until the killer gets close enough. But bloodlust doesn't drop with MfT without deliberate killer action (like kicking a pallet on cooldown).
Since you have a worst case scenario, which assumes no bloodlust, adding in bloodlust changes the MfT time. There could be minor adjustments with Sprint burst and overcome, but likely the amount of time breaking chase entirely will only result in bl1 at best, with a pretty minor impact to the time for those two. There's no chance to break chase with MfT simply by movement speed, and I think it's fair since none of the other comparisons include mind games or other factors (body blocks, etc).
For MfT: First 15s no change, then 10s of bl1, then 10s of bl2, then any remaining time is at bl3. Keeping in mind bloodlust only takes effect after the initial hit, since a successful attack resets the timer.
So using your 15.8m distance, the killer gains at .48 for 15s, so 7.2m gained (8.6 left), then 10s at .68 for 6.8m (1.8m left). A lunge attack causes the killer to move at 6.9m/s for .8 seconds, so a lunge from max range is possible after about .31 seconds of bloodlust 3. Without a lunge, and going for 'exact zero' is roughly 2 seconds of BL3.
So 27 seconds plus the initial 8.33 from your head start, gives 35.33 total. Which is far, far shorter than the exhaustion options.
I like Overcome with WoO as I'm conscious about creating dead zones. I like to take the hit during chase and bypass a nearby pallet for one further away. I feel like it has its place, even though I'm aware it's probably the least popular exhaustion perk.

My last Wesker was 18 games ago. Crazy.
-
I hate it too, but it's a good map for stealth killers

Mine are on the Switch, which is probably flat, but I think I had about 50 left on Cheryl. I kept using them for a few weeks after the event.

From what I’ve seen the BP role bonus has been on survivor for me (25-100%, but never killer to any degree) since the event started.
I've played 42 games since the anniversary started and 2 were killer incentives (I track it all for my own curiosity lol)
-
Not everyone is good at multitasking. Hux requires alot of it.
-
When they break, I replace. Always have charges on you.
-
I'm enjoying it. Making crazy bp and levelling up plenty of characters
-
I wouldn't ignore totems. During the gen kick meta, yes, as killers all pretty much ran the exact same build and there was no room for hex perks. I don't go out of my way to find them, but if there's one near my gen I'll cleanse it afterward.
-
Just need to make Hope and MFT not stack. Simple.
-
I've found Myers like to do the monitor nod. Makes me laugh
-
I don't think I've had a face camper during this event yet. Had a Nurse of all killers proxy camping today but that was about it
-
I got downed by a Dredge literally through the shack wall. I'd vaulted the window and was already running along the side of shack when I went down. I tried to record it but didn't go back far enough. I've had some ridiculous hits but that one took the cake. Must have been lag surely?
-
As a survivor I guess I like being part of a team. I enjoy taking risks, especially when they pay off. It's a nice feeling to leave a game satisfied that I've pulled my weight and contributed, even if we all died (which is often). That's what I find fun, I guess.
I also enjoy seeing myself improve over time. I can remember when I couldn't last 10 seconds in chase, and I remember the first time I ran a killer for a whole gen. It's motivating to see those improvements. I still have bad games and make potato choices every so often, but it's easy to say 'okay, that was a bad call' and let it go.
-
It's the event. Lots of older players come back for the anniversary then disappear again after it. You have to open the gates to get your cosmetic so naturally everyone is glued to gens. Maybe BHVR could consider changing the conditions around how survivors claim their masks.
-
The whining will never stop unfortunately. Most people are okay with critiquing their own performance but there's also a subset of people who will never acknowledge that their skill may not be as great as they think it is. It's always someone, or something, else's fault when they lose.
-
As soon as I hear that humming I know the game is going to be sweaty
-
Yes, noticed it alot

Toxicity spreads.
You have a survivor dealing with that, then finally breaks and does it to other people playing killer.
Also, the 100% blood point incentive on killer is causing alot of non-killer players playing killer for the points. They arent skilled, so they play scummy.
Just an FYI, the incentive isn't the same for everyone. It's based things like region, time of day, and MMR. So you might have 100% killer while someone else has 100% survivor, or anywhere in between. So I wouldn't think that would necessarily be a factor. I'd say people who play scummy simply enjoy playing that way.

All sorts of people come crawling out of the woodworks during popular events. You learn to just take the good with the bad.
