I'm sorry that happened but as other people have stated, it's your teammates fault for not leaving so you could get hatch. I personally have no problems with the active trap killing you at the gates. If they were to make it so they can't kill you then traps would be almost useless.

Inactivated Reverse Bear Traps that a survivor walks out the gate wearing should carry over to the next game, like how items do.
what if it's against someone who isn't pig???
-
I think it can be OP on any killer because it's such a good combo.
-
killing survivors who constantly teabag you. Last night I had an Elodie teabag me at every pallet she dropped, I ended up camping her because she asked for it.

You see, the advice of ''just apply pressure 5head'' isn't applicable to half the maps in the game. Unless you're Nurse or Spirit, how do you deal with:
-Four good survivors with DS/UB/DH/BT?
-Coldwind, haddonfield or the game which are the safest map for survivors.
-Playing with a low tier killer.
-Maps the size of Russia.
I think killers should take more responsibility, but there's been times where I'm Wraith on Haddonfield, against four very good survivors with Balanced Landing. That's an instant loss, there's nothing you can do. Same for any coldwind map really.
If every map was balanced like Coal Tower (small, fair pallets) then I think ''applying pressure'' would be sound advice.
Haddonfield is a nightmare i'm lucky to even get maybe two hooks, but of course it all depends on what kind of team I'm going against.
-
gen speeds are fine killers just need to learn to apply better pressure like you stated. I've had plenty of matches to where gens were flying left and right but I just take the points and move on. you're gonna have those good and bad games. If you hate gens getting done so quickly than you can run those slow down perks to hopefully help you in your future matches.

It's precisely because of people like yourself who take pleasure in being toxic toward other players with current DS why the perk receives the nerf.
Sorry, but what you're doing is just despicable.
I don't even run DS much anymore but even after the nerf, it's still gonna help people escape at EGC.

Indeed, I think DS should not work after all gens are done.
I mean that would kind of make the perk useless, I love Decisive striking killers at the gates and they lose their mind.

I wasnt annoyed about them playing hard, I was trying to get the point across that learning as a new player and going up against a co-ordinated team must be extremely frustrating. Heck we know it is because we’ve all been there and it doesn’t help that 99% of the killers have not been balanced for swf.
Originally I thought the constant hook trades and hook swarming at the end were the reason for abuse but they were all tbagging before that happened so I guess not. I forget to add they made it out due to DS, guess I must have tunneled when they farm them off the hook in front of me at the exit gates. Thats one part of DS that isnt getting nerfed.
No actually DS will disable when a survivor unhooks someone.

It does make me laugh when survivors complain about queue times and then those same survivors will go into a lobby to deliberately try to provoke the killer and do anything they can to make them have a miserable gaming experience. How do they not put two and two together?
can you please be specific as to what survivors do in the lobby to make killers match a bad experience??
-
I'd be totally cool with it, because survivors don't get attempt to escape from the hook anyway when they're the last one alive so why not???

As someone who plays both sides, I of course have seen that BS from both roles but at the end of the day this is only a video game. I just wish everyone would try to enjoy it rather than calling out things that need to be reworked all the time. No matter what the devs try to fix, it's still gonna be hard to please the community.

What if the ability to drop the key was removed? Or just make it so that if you drop an item, the entity eats it after a certain amount of time? Just throwing out ideas.
I mean if that were the case you'd see survivors running plunders more often so if they open a chest with a key, they can just leave it there and retrieve once hatch spawns.

Even though I heavily dislike SB and wouldn't mind seeing it getting little fix (aka "slow speed increase" so that survivor gets 150% slow and gets same distance, just in bigger time) I can't argue that it has heavy disadvantages like having to walk most of the trial to have it for the chase and inability to really control it (even 99ing it isn't really effective since performing any animation would make you lose it).
DH has no such disadvantages. Just press the button when you see you aren't making it to the window/pallet without being hit and get free win. No need to worry about timing it, no skill needed.
I'll be completely honest, most of the time I use DH it really is just to gain distance so I'm sure that's not the proper way to do it. And as for SB yeah I don't like walking in the match and I have to wait for the killer to get close to me just so I can get that head start.
-
tunneling a survivor because they brought an item is kinda stupid. But I do understand it if it's a last second switch like you mentioned.
-
DS is getting reworked and killer mains are already going after DH,UB and BT. How come they don't complain about sprint burst which I kind of think is better than DH. I mean y'all are faster, we need these perks to help us.

I can't consider doing Totems a secondary objective for several reasons:
- It takes too long for uncoordinated solo team to cleanse all totems. If they play against aggressive Killers like Spirit or Nurse - escaping will be nearly impossible. Additionally, when it is a (face)camper, the last thing Survivors should do is to run across the map searching for Totems.
- Cleansing Totems is not worthy. Survivors get no benefit from cleansing them other than 1000 Bloodpoints which can be achieved in one chase, and even more of them. Also, it feels frustrating when you manage to cleanse all Totems and then realize the Killer does not have NOED. All the time you spent meant literally nothing.
- Survivors can't even see the number of Totems remaining. How doing Totems can be an Objective when they don't even know how many of them left. Yeah, swf with comms will be able to count them, but what for solo Survivors?
that's what we need a totem counter, and then there will be no excuse to not cleanse all totems.
-
I would've been cool if they made the timer pause when you go down.

Ah yes, when you have no other argument, go for whataboutism. Perfect.
to be fair killers are more faster than survivor so why shouldn't we have perks to help us win chases??

Dude, in this post I also said that NOED needs to be reconsidered bcs it it also very unfair. How u can consider me a Killer main after that?
I wasn't saying you are, I'm just really sick of all these dead hard and NOED threads.
-
just like NOED and a few other killer perks
-
Those two perks have absolute zero comparison. Survivors need perks like DH and SB because they're slower than the killer. why do these killer mains want all of these meta perks reworked? Are you trying to make survivors weaker????
-
wow that's good information!

Im excited, it’s going to be an actual anti-tunnel perk, so killer that don’t tunnel won’t get punished anymore, which is great, because I can’t count how many times I got dsed by a survivor after I downed and hooked a completely different survivor.
this happened to be the other night and all 3 key escaped 2 seconds later. They even 3 gen'd themselves it was a big slap in the face.
-
survivors who blow up a gen when it was almost popped.

Lil excited, now I won't feel bad while running it.
I don't even run it that often only because it's a one time use. I'm probably gonna run it just to see the difference in it and then take it off.

@pigsaag said:
for once happy they reworked that #########. it was unfair that after you heal and i see you doing a gen, then i pick you and suprise suprise. you still have ds
Yes that was annoying for a lot of killers.
-
I'm talking about decisive strike lol.
-
I don’t recall having a match like that. But once I had one where it was just me and one other survivor, we had all the gens done I got downed and hooked not sure if it was my first or second.
But anyway my teammate found the hatch and instead of opening a gate and coming to unhook, he just waited there at the hatch until I died. He probably wanted a few extra points.
-
I try not to let toxic survivors get to me, if they're taunting at the gates I just stay away and wait for them to leave. I also turn off messages when I'm playing killer because I don't have time for toxic postgame chat.
-
@Rivyn said:
Not enough killer players. Going to get worse the longer the new MMR system is active.
Are you talking about the MMR that was just tested??
-
I just think they should make it so that survivors can wake up with any clock instead of having to run all the way to the other side of the map. I mean that can really chew up a lot of time.
-
unbreakable
-
Inter strength is a really good perk I would recommend buying that one. You can pair it with small game to help you find totems.
-
it absolutely deserved a nerf because players (especially SWF) abused the heck out of it. If you get unhooked and go back to doing your objectives than you’re not being tunneled.
The devs finally made this a true anti tunnel perk so if you don’t like it than i’m sorry thats your problem. Unless a killer is tunneling you off hook you should not be rewarded a free get out of jail card because you failed at your chase.
-
It's only an issue for me when I'm playing during the daytime if you know what I mean.
