I thought it was my xbox that was causing all the lags but it runs better on other games.

With the resident evil chapter bringing lots of new players into the game, console players especially, surely optimisation on consoles would be one of their top priorities?
Im glad to see this thread is still going strong at 28 pages and growing
I hope it's one of their priorities because I guess there's more players on console than PC but I don't know.

Oh, I'll still be here on the Forums. Can't let BHVR off the hook that easily.
I'm going to buy the RE DLC and if it runs like I think it will, I'll be a Forum member only.
I'm gonna wait a few weeks to see how the update runs and then make my decision on whether or not I'll buy it.

Pretty sad that the devs have seen this thread for sure already, they are just choosing not to reply, deliberately leaving us in the dark. I was optimistic before, but it really feels like they are just ignoring us.
They could have at least said that it was confirmed that optimization was coming as they said in the RE livestream. Just write a little comment confirming this in this thread and that will be it, I would be happy.
I was about to comment the same. I mean look how long this thread has grown?? We deserve a response now.

Time ago it was kill all four survivors.
I thought it was always that way. I don't have adept on any of my killers.

Solos shouldn't have to use perks, items, or add-ons for information that SWF get for free :)
Than play with friends.

Toolboxes for sabotage and the new flash grenade perk from Leon make notifications already
okay but you're not gonna sabotage a hook unless a killer is bringing a survivor to that hook.

not a bad idea.

You know what else isn't healthy? SWF (survivor sided against killers, coms make stealth a chore), Spirit, not having new maps, hackers, and a toxic community. Yet recently dbd broke their highest number player count. You're banking on the idea that one jerk ruined a match for them and they quit immediately or after dealing with it for so long.
The moment they nerf camping to the ground, is the moment they make survivors an absolute crawl to play as. For a huge number of reasons. Now personally, I only get proxy camped, because survivors absolutely do not like to leave a hooked person alone so my killers just can't take five steps without the Z Team coming to try and save the day. Face camping is rare for me to run into, but when it does happen. I'm in a SWF team as the designated runner. So it's kinda expected
I go against SWF squads who like to rush out gens. That's why some if not all killers have to camp when the match is going bad.
-
of all these probably Hag.
-
I don't know if I want an item that can give killers notifications??

@PhantomChimera said:
Not cleansing them as you find them is risky. If the killer is able to get to any remaining survivors before any of them can get back to the totem then it is potentially match over for that survivor. Many survivors won't risk rescuing a survivor while NOED is active. if the killer is running Blood Warden then things have have become worse.
so true from my experience.
-
I'm okay with survivors 99'ing the gates because that gives killers more time to get some hooks and possibly kills. I'll only open it myself if I want bloodwarden to activate.
-
No this is a perk that can only be used in the endgame. There are tools to deactivate NOED before it can trigger but survivors don't wanna do totems. I get tired of survivors complaining about NOED meanwhile they have plenty of second chance perks and this is the only second chance perk killers have.
Maybe bloodwarden but you won't get much value out of that because survivors can just 99 the gates.
-
I run small game not just to cleanse totems but look for hex perks. It ain't always about noed.
-
No way it's already been tested and it was abused heavily by survivors. People need to learn to accept the fact that camping is part of the game.

Reminder, your bleeding and leaving scratch marks if running. They will find you and if you've started healing, then sorry you've just been downed.
don't heal yourself if you want your DS so dang much.

Because taking the game hostage is force a player to disconect in a infinite match, example: bodyblock in a corner forever.
While the match ends is not taking hostage.
I had a teammate do that to me once. And when he got hooked I didn't even bother saving him, then I ended up getting hatch. 😁
-
As much as I hated old ruin/undying I would revert it back to it's original for a few reasons.
- Totem spawns are bad
- Small game and detectives hunch.
- Counterforce is gonna be much easier to track and destroy hex perks faster.
Survivors want to do more than just gens so why not.
-
I don't care about the logo I just care about the state of the game.

What if they just wait till the 50 seconds is up then come back? Or what if they wait till you try healing yourself which at most would be 30 seconds after unhook, is this not tunneling?
Try healing somewhere where you're not even near the killer.

Same. Breakable walls are a very bad mechanic and, honestly, should be removed from the game.
Whenever Haddonfield gets reworked I hope they don't put breakable walls there.
-
I hate them especially as survivor on The Game because I'll run into one mid chase and I end up getting screwed because of it.
-
I love alert even though I don't run it often. The information is great.

I think it's a good build.

You are not alone. Evenings survivors are better but also killers are more sweaty. But it is more fun.
right!! I think we're all on the same page on that.

Game in the morning are more chill and you have less 3 or 4 man swf compare to the evening. At least on the server i play its like that. And survivor bring less haddonfield or red forest offering for me and the queue time prove me that
maybe it's me but when I play solo survivor in the morning I tend to get a lot of bad teammates.

Yes, but it's maybe 7 seconds.
mhmm maybe it should be more like 15-20.
-
Nah I don't think that's a right change.
-
@CoalTower said:
Basically what everyone else said.
Their entire playstyle is using tactics that aren't fun to go against, Victor is OP in chase, and no matter how many times you kick him, he'll be back on you in 20 seconds.
Is there a cooldown when victor is kicked??? I don't have the twins so I don't fully understand how all that works.
-
the slugging part is the big think I hate about twins.
-
Do you mean like when someone is exposed the perk has a timer like make your choice?? I've never used this perk before.
-
Only reasons I can think of why killers dodge are maybe.
- All 4 survivors are playing the same character with the same cosmetics.
- At least one survivors brings a key.

Play smarter with the perk? To use this perk, you must intentionally handicap yourself. No healing yourself, no doing gens, no doing hexes, anything that furthers the match. Why. People already were able to just wait a minute and then come back, or just not tunnel, now you basically have to sit at hook or play with people who unhook infront of killer.
DS is specially designed as an anti tunnel perk. If you feel safe to do gens, totems or heal yourself than you're not being tunneled.
-
run slowdown perks
-
honestly who cares. not trying to sound rude but is it really that big a deal??
-
@Kirkylad said:
The devs spoke a little about it in the anniversary stream and they're looking at giving incentives for people to play during peak hours when the wait time is at its worst. They'll likely add double bloodpoints bonuses or something for people who play killer during those times.
that actually would be really nice. I hate waiting forever and I have a rough match and only get a few thousand BP's.
-
I just don't think she's exciting to play against.

We have this recent post (https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/245229/rant-its-becoming-harder-and-harder-to-enjoy-this-game-due-to-poor-optimization/p1) with multiple videos of the FPS drops in the game for both survivors and killers and BHVR hasn't shown any signs of caring that so many are experiencing issues with their game being poorly optimized :(
I hope they're at least checking this thread and reading because this is a lot of complaints. Biggest thread I've ever seen.

And you can play smarter with monstrous shrine too, and this doesn’t change it’s a trash perk
I don't even run monstrous shrine because well yeah that's a trash perk as I can agree too.
-
@valvarez4 said:
You can tunnel now without any problem. DS is trash perk now and you probably can be hit by it 1/50 games
It's "trash" to survivors who wanted 60 seconds of invisibility now you have to play smarter with the perk.
-
@pedrolito said:
You ask for a nerf, so survivors use all he keys they have before that happens.
wish I could've used all the moris I have before the nerf because it came without warning. Now I just try to avoid them in the bloodweb but sometimes I'm forced to buy it.
-
I know man It's a pain...
-
I like this idea!! Would make solo queue a tad bit easier but we need it.
-
I find it so hard to believe that the key escape rate is 3% because I run into keys a lot as killer and survivors usually hatch escape.
-
I didn't like the new aminations when they came out but now I love them.

I cleanse them all the time. I always tap the first gen I see to check whether or not the killer has ruin. If I see ruin I go totem cleanse. I've memorized most of their spawn locations already so I'll go out of my way to check for them and still do gens. It's free 1k points.
Yeah I do the same.
