If the bots they're putting into 2v8 lobbies had random gamer tag-esqe names no one would notice. There's literally 8 (6) of you mfs. (my friends) But since they're going to have the BOT tag people are gonna kick and scream "I got bots in all my 2v8 lobbies, I thought it was only supposed to be sometimes" yadda yadda. Even I will admit that if instead of playing against Ada Wong: BOT I was playing against XSilenthunterssX (BOT) (SHH it's a secret that's why it's in these Parentheses) I wouldn't bat an eye until it started mirroring me perfectly through walls at a loop lol.

Console killer detected. Please install mouse and keyboard for full killer experience.
Jokes aside - I think you may be over reacting just a tad. It seems like you've had a rough few games but you can bounce back I believe in you :) -

I heard about mym once when I came out saw a snippet of gameplay and then completely forgot it existed or that BHVr made it until I saw the mym pfp options when making my forum acc a few weeks ago. It was a cool idea and it didn't look bad gameplay wise I just wasn't ever interested in giving it a try for some reason.

😂 Such a good spot, despite have less in every area than before! That makes total sense!
What exactly makes you feel like killers have it so rough right now? Gen kick limit? Shoulder? Chucky's broken legs? Genuinely curious.

I feel like all maps should have day/twilight/night or bright/dim/dark variants. They added that to the player survey a while back, and I would be happy to see that added. Would make a cool offering. REd forest with loooooooong shadows as the sun pokes through the trees would be cool…
Also please add some burning bodies and medieval sconses to The Decimated Borgo… it's dark theme is great, but I can't see jack in that map…😶
Even though this post was about getting dark versions of light maps you made me realize light versions of dark maps are an equally interesting idea. Also love the idea of more lighting implemented in to the borgo in a cool world building way.

Thanks….I'm getting the itch to return. I don't think I have been around for the new Killers so this will be interesting.
Houndmaster is super fun but she has her problems for sure. Dark lord is good too but like I alluded to, you might want to avoid him until after the next bug fix. The best 2024 addition is without question The Unknown so I recommend giving them a try before anything else. Either way welcome back!

I mostly play killer but when I do play survivor I prefer to not be an annoying cretin.

Blight does NOT need a buff, I see him enough. He needs a nerf if anything, literally the king of Slugging these days.
I love blight but I can't help but feel horrible every time I play him. His cooldowns are nice from the killer players perspective ofc but in reality it's painfully obvious that he could get away with having a little bit of time added to his cooldowns especially for his power. I said it was fine but that's just because I'd rather see more urgent changes happen before a blight nerf. He definitely does not need a buff.

It’s strange that no one noted this, but level 1 of the perk also reduces the risk of a bug, since it’s easier to work with 1 characteristic than with 3
Very good point, I also wonder how hard it would be for BHVr to rework the perk system in that way… It does seem kind of raw to propose BHVr does away with something that's been a unique aspect of the game for it's entire lifespan. Perhaps the removal of tiers has potential to create bugs as well…
-
Killers are in a good spot right now. If you don't know about shoulder the burden, keep in mind that survivors can take hook states from others so if you were one to tunnel in the past it isn't as effective now. Also I'd recommend looking at the known issues since there are some bugs rn that are disheartening (e.g. Dark Lord (Dracula) can get locked out of the bloodweb)
-
Blight's cooldown is totally fine, and bubbas only change needs to be deletion imo. Billy I might get on board with, but after playing him more recently… You really just need to make sure you don't hit anything during the first couple seconds of rushing, after that he just glides. The cooldown is punishment for lack of precision and it's a welcome setback for a killer that can practically fly across the map.

I generally agree then? Greenville is a weird one because the theater is peak and the projector generator is the best generator in the entire game but the rest of the map is too big and has those ridiculous double pallet setups.
Toba in theory should be high up because it's a cool concept but in practice it's just dump random garbage all over a map and call it a day.
Kinda wonder why you hate corn so much? They're not all winners but Thompson House is kinda fun and Abattoir feels like the most balanced map in the game next to Wrecker's Yard.
Also I don't know why people hate Swamp so much. They're BS maps but they're BS for both sides and it's kinda funny. Like a plague screaming all their fountains are trying to leave the map with how on the edges they are while survivors wonder how BHVR thought letting the game spawn two gens on the dock at the same was a good idea is comedy gold. Also swamp main building crows are iconic.
I'm not too fond of the farthest side of Greenville with the statue. The maps length definitely makes it much harder to pressure but more often than not I find survivors setting me up for perfect 3 gens on that map because they insist on working on the far generators first lol.
I agree with that you're saying on Toba but the visual aspect and just how alive the map feels is such a breath of fresh air. It feels like you're in a living organism and it's super unique.I hate the corn maps mostly because I hate the sun. The best thing they have going for them is the harvesters. Nothing better than lunging at a survivor who thinks they're safe on one of those hay bales lol. This is just a skill issue but I find myself losing people in the corn A LOT and it's irritating. I'd say all of the Coldwind maps are decent EXCEPT FOR rotten fields. That map is straight buns with no sauce.
The swamp is super balanced for the most part I just hate the wonky elevation everywhere. The main buildings are a pain, edge of the map is frustrating and it feels like you're in dirty sink water. Visually the map might be the least appealing out of all of them. I'd take Autohaven goofy gas green over Backwater grey and brown sludge flavor any day. It does seem silly to dislike the uncomfortable color palettes of the maps because it's a horror game the maps obviously aren't supposed to be super comfy or anything but… I just don't want my game to look washed out ya know? I like colors

I feel like the perk tiers just make it too tedious to get them on all characters. Having to P3 a character I don't even use for their perks to be maxed is just kind of dumb to be honest. I say just make me prestige them once to get their perks available
I agree. I remember when the cenobite came out I wanted to min max his build potential and when I saw I had to get hoarder either from the shrine (the shrine is garbage) or p3 twins I remember thinking. - "Who in their right mind would ever waste bp on the twins?"

Nostromo has questionable placement. The map just feels “wrong” to play on.
Nostromo is an anti map and I love it. The layout is so strange and it's probably not a good map by any means but I love the circle loop and the steam that comes out in the halls of the ship. something about it truly is charming.

There’s a couple maps in D tier that I just don’t agree should be that low. Temple, torment creek, and a few others. Just my opinion though.
Temple is annoying for me, I don't like the main building at all. I will admit torment is my favorite corn map but I can't stand the big light.

i personally think MacMillian and Autohaven are the best maps to play on both sides. I’ve been playing since 2018 and it’s always been that way as a killer player. Even though I do miss the old maps.
About your list - this is very strange. I think all fathers chapel maps and meat plant are very survivor sided. Some would say Midwich new variant is very killer sided. Coal Tower aswell is the most balanced map in the game so I don’t know how it’s in C tier.
I can't stand the closed mine shaft loop on Macmillan. Autohaven is so 50/50 for me but I hate the green. Why is it so green?
Meat plant has served me well but what you say is true, many a survivor has tea bagged me at her gates. Gideons is a cruel mistress. I just can't seem to get enough of it, fathers chapel is clown territory + it has Maurice. Not only that but playing blight on that map makes me float. Coal tower isn't D or anything and you might've realized there isn't an f tier. I really don't care what map I play on but coal tower for example makes me sleepy when I'm going up stairs for a decade. -

I respect SnS mains a ton, it's always fun watching them beat up a giant lizard with nothing but a knife and dinner plate. The Benchmark is actually a separate download that walks you through 2 cutscenes and a opening walking sequence to see how well your computer handles the massive environments
Ah see clearly I haven't been keeping up like I should. Either way I am counting down literal seconds before I am off of work and can go install lol. We'll have to do some hunts together come Feb 27th or 28th whatever
-
I was hoping I'd see a fellow monster hunter in here lol. I used to play switch axe but S&S is so mindless and easy I can't ever go back. I was going to run this benchmark when I got home where do you find it?
I am also very excited, unfortunately 2v8 and the open beta for mhwilds overlap so we're going to have to juggle them appropriately lolEdit: I just realized the beta is open as of today lol this must be where the benchmark is from huh? I didn't even realize I've been so sidetracked lol

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/438050/perks-and-tiers-and-tiers-and-perks#latest
It is time for them to go, I have yet to see anyone fully disagree with this proposed change. If the problem is player retention… that's a double edged sword. Making it more of a grind could retain some people seeing as they have to play more to unlock what they want and some people do enjoy the grind as well. How ever some people might see the grind as a repellant. For super casual players it takes a while to get a footing and establish your characters with good perks. -
He's fun to play now and that's all that really matters but the dream pallets are not good enough for me to even want to use them. I would rather see them removed or moved to an add-on like they were originally. Let me clarify that the dream pallets are good however it's more annoying to switch to them and properly/efficently use them as opposed to not using them at all. I personally do not want to have to micro manage my power in every chase. Same reason I don't like the lich or the knight as much. Its just so unnecessary, not to mention the overlap it creates and the increased chance for misclicks, accidental teleports, etc.

So because we have a few good cosmetics (Mind you Jeff and Yun-Jin are in this) it means we shouldn't want better quality cosmetics?
That's not exactly what I said. I understand the desire for cosmetics you enjoy 100%. My point was survivors comparatively have more cosmetic options all around (not just on a character to character basis). If I were a surv player I wouldn't mind waiting for a rift to pass seeing as I'd have access to a wider selection of cosmetics in the meantime. But that's just me. 🤷 Also I don't think that the quality is bad either, you even said -
"Yun-Jin head would be super cute but its just so ugly because of the eyes."
I'd be more up in arms about Nea's horrible hairstyle choice than the color of her eyes.
-
yup, did is 😔
-
I think it's better they tried something new and unique. Survivors have so many cosmetics to choose from so it's really not that big of a deal IMO.

A large portion of the player base is neurodivergent and the developers still aren’t sure how to deal with … that.
It's not their job to deal with that…
-
- Voip needs to happen, preferably team based to minimize toxicity
- Perks should only be one tier
- There should be no more bloodpoint cap
- There should be 100% more bloodpoints by default
- There needs to be more ways to earn iri shards
- Tunneling is just playing the game efficiently as killer, there should be no stigma attached
- Slugging needs to be mitigated
- There should be no more gen dmg limit
- The Cannibal should be removed
- The Skull merchant should be removed
- Fnaf killer shouldn't be springtrap (hopefully they're something like legion where you can pick different animatronics)
- They must revert chucky's broken ass legs
- They must get rid of the weird crumpled piece of paper thing on the weapon for Chucky's blighted skin
- Blight needs a cooldown nerf bad
- Wiggle bar thingy needs a slight increase in speed
- Mad grit basekit
- Stop removing bloodpoint rewards from perks (e.g thrill of the hunt, beast of prey)
- Wesker should not be able to power slide around tiles
- Nurse's plaid flannel should be base kit
- They should to add most of the dbd mobile cosmetics
- We need everlasting rifts, if a rift expires before you complete it you can still finish it and swap between old/current rift
- Freddy should not have dream pallets his new snares are good enough
- Knight is better as an m1 killer
- Naughty bear cosmetic is garbage
- The community is sometimes TOO horny fr
- None of the content creators for this game are super entertaining, most of them make garbage takes and utilize mob mentality in a harmful way
- They NEED to remove the sun from sunny maps. All maps should be dark
- More than 50% of offerings are useless and a waste of bp - the whole system needs to be scrapped or reworked
- We need more incentives to P100 (e.g. more cosmetic unlocks, profile pics & banners, iri shards, legacy cosmetics for reaching 100?)
- All killers and survivors should be avaliable as pfp's on the forum by now
- Profanity filter should optional in game
-

Some may argue that creating noise notifications is a strat. I would agree, how ever after a certain point it becomes borderline BM. i agree the new player experience is terrible.
Even as an older player, since I played so inconsistently early on the experience of unlocking perks and such has been pretty rough for me. I haven't touched my survivors in so long and I shudder at the thought; playing survivor is miserable as is. These are things I hope BHVr has realized. I mean they get it shoved in their face all day every day on the forum so I'm hopeful… I might be delusional but I expect they have a big wave of big fixes lined up for fnaf. Of course it's not like they can just surprise us with a fixed game. It has to be tested so I don't know why they wouldn't just get it done and over with. But I'm no dev 🤷 all I can do is trust the process.

Lol! I have actually stopped putting in real pennies now to cosmetics, I did like the truffle shuffle as we called it, but alas wasn't enough to excite me to go back. I guess I sort of liked the bloopers, the way things was all over the place, now it's just a big ole this one is too over powered, so is that one, nerf this, nerf that, buff this buff that. I can't even remember half of the perks or why what who now, so yes some things are better. I don't know I had more fun when this game was like Jumanji.
Google translate is making you sound hilarious, I love it. I have sunk a lot of money into this game especially recently lol. Don't know what the truffle shuffle is haha but I think I get the jist… Unfortunatley this is the path most live service casual → competitive games go. People start taking things way too seriously after a few years and now it's all about making sure everything is balanced instead of prioritizing fun silly goofiness. I'm no expert on game design or anything but that's what it seems like to me.

Google needs to also recall people don't filter out the negative, but recall it with some of trauma! lol
Fair enough. I miss old dbd too sometimes but I can't help but think of all the positive changes we've had over the years and realize I wouldn't have it any other way. My biggest regret is not p3-ing all my killers before the prestige rework. So many killers now and I still have to get the bloody cosmetics for… most of them haha.
-
Nostalgia makes things in the past seem better because our brains tend to naturally filter out negative memories and focus on positive ones, a phenomenon called "rosy retrospection," which means we often remember past events more fondly than they actually were, especially when those memories are associated with significant life periods like childhood or young adulthood; this selective recall, combined with the positive emotions attached to those memories, creates a perception that the past was "better" than the present.

Hexes
- Hexes look like dull totems for the first 30 seconds in the trial (new)
- Hexes are dull until their effects are triggered by survivors (new)
Hex: Haunted ground
- 2-3 (was 2) Hex totems will spawn in the trial.
- When (was either one of the 2-3)a Hex totems is cleansed by a survivor, all survivors suffer from the exposed status effect for 60s.
The remaining trapped Hex totem immediately becomes a Dull Totem(removed)
Hex: Corrupt intervention (now a hex)
- At the start of the trial two hex totems spawn and the furthest 3 generators get blocked by the entity (was for 120s). When one hex corrupt intervention gets cleansed, the other one becomes a dull totem and the perk deactivates. Both hex totems are blocked for the first 60 seconds into the trial.
- Removes the antennas from generators at the start of the trial. (New)
Hex: Ruin
- All generators are affected by hex: ruin. While a generator is not being repaired by a survivor, it will immediately and automatically regress repair progress at 150% (was 100%) of the normal regression speed.
Hex: Shadowborn (rework)
- Everything becomes darker for survivors and the fog is very close for them. The killer sees everything like normal.
Hex: Thrill of the Hunt
- For each Totem remaining in the environment, Hex: Thrill of the Hunt is granted 1 Token. For each Token, all Survivors suffer from a stack-able 10/11/12 %. Action Speed penalty to Cleansing and Blessing Totems.
- For each dull totem all survivors suffer from a 3% repair, healing, vault and sabotage speed penalty. (new)
Hex: Undying (revert with some adjustments)
- While Hex: Undying is active, Survivors within 2 metres of any Totem have their Aura revealed for 4/5/6 seconds.
- When another Hex Totem is cleansed, that Hex transfers to an available Dull Totem, losing 2 (was any) Tokens in the process. The same hex perk can only be transferred twice (new).
- Adds 3 more dull totems to the trial. (new)
Hex: Retribution (no longer a hex)- Survivors (was cleansing or blessing) in a 4-6m radius of any Totem, suffer from the Oblivious Status Effect. That effect lingers for 35/40/45 seconds.
- After cleansing or blessing a Hex Totem the Auras of all Survivors are revealed to you for 15 seconds.
Hex: Two can play (no longer a hex)Anytime you are stunned or blinded by any Survivor a total of 4/3/2times, and if there is not yet a Hex Totem already associated with Hex: Two Can Play and there is at least one DullTotemremaining in the Trial Grounds, Hex: Two Can Play activates on a random Totem: (removed)- Survivors who stun or blind you are blinded for 3,5s (was 1.5s). This does not affect carried survivors.
What do you think of those changes?
I copied those perk changes from one of my older discussion, where nobody replied, because it was too long. Therefore I plan on splitting it up into new discussion.
