Did killers get 2.14 kills from playing nice and fair? Or did some try to camp and tunnel?
Because often, you can easily get a 2-4k if you're very willing to tunnel and camp.

I mean, there exists a possibility that boons aren't overperforming like people think they are.
This has to be bait.

The idea of a killer which splits off into two is honestly the most interesting in the entire game.
Shame they're horrible bugged, awkward to use, and weak when you don't have Victor sitting under every hook.

That doesn't make either right.
I've been hit on hook before the first gen has been done a ton.
Every Bubba I've played against facecamps.
I don't anyone on either side is having fun atm.
As your local Bubba main, I apologise. My race can be unkind at times.

NOED: Is fine. Actually gets more use with boons in play because survivor cleanse totems less now.
CoH: Is fine. It makes a noise and killers can literally step on it and snuff it when they're in the area. It's like a medkit but sometimes survivors will literally use time running across a map to get to an active boon.
Dead Hard: Is also fine and finally works as intended. (I don't even use it because I don't need it)
None of these perks are OP
No? COH & DH are not fine lol, why do you think they're in every single game? 4 dead hards every game, 9/10 also has COH in it
-
lol shut up entitled killer main just pressure gens
/s
-
Ah yes, removing content that many grinded for because 0.01% of players were racist with it is clearly the priority we have. Might as well remove pride charms since we're just assuming that tunnelling a specific person with a ''oppressed'' characteristic is down to hatred and not anything else.
-
Another update where there are no map changes, no buffs to weak killers, nerfs to the strongest killers, no QOL updates, no changes to any OP perks (notably COH).
Just absolutely lazy and useless changes that once again show their inaptitude and priorities with the game.
-
It took them YEARS to change DS into a fair state. Do you really think they'll nerf COH only 2-3 months after its released? Of course not, it's a survivor perk, so they'll take their sweet time even considering to balance it given their focus is the enjoyment of survivor mains as they're 90% of their profits.

I think the killer players who aren't quite as experienced on survivor are going to find that playing against four optimal Sprint Burst users is 10x as frustrating as Dead Hard. There's at least a chance for a misplay with DH. Early SB means you likely never have a chance in the first place.
But you can drop or ignore the survivor who uses SB because it's at the very beginning of the chase. You're not stuck in a lose-lose situation unlike with DH, where it might take you 30 seconds to a minute for the survivor to use it in the chase, but when they do use it, they reach a safe pallet or window, practically resetting the chase. By that point, you can't really drop the chase, because you've dedicated too much time into it.
With SB, survivors will never always have it ready, and if they do, killers can choose to abandon very quickly, losing less pressure unlike with DH where its always ready to be used to reset a chase for free.

If Solo gets as close to SWF as possible, the next logical step would be to add universal buffs for Killers.
That's exactly what should happen.
Buff solo queue, to close the gap between solo queue - SWF, and then buff killer to a middle ground (maybe a little closer to SWF, but not too much to make solo queue unbearable still)
But they won't do anything.

If they don't know how to nerf Dead Hard then they're incompetent, I don't believe they don't know how to nerf it, if they could nerf an intringued perk like Object of Obsession then they can nerf Dead Hard.
There are a lot of ways to nerf Dead Hard all of them pretty simple and can be combined or not:
Doubling or tripling the exhaustion time after using it (my least favourite nerf).
Removing the dash and keeping only the iframes (my favorite nerf because this would prevent using the perk for reaching windows/pallets or gaining distance, the most broken thing of the perk imo).
Removing the iframes and keeping only the dash, so dashing toward the killer or against a wall wouldn't prevent a down.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This is the way to go, remove the dash and keep the I-Frames. I'd even give it a MoM effect, so distance is made, but only if the killer messes up.
-
Don't be silly, it took them YEARS to bring Decisive Strike into a fair spot.
I doubt they'll even touch the perk.
-
Yup, it's a game-breaking bug but they won't fix it because it affects killers and not survivors.
Remember when Enduring was bugged to affect DS, making the perk practically useless and tunnelling unstoppable? Fixed ASAP.
A bug where slugging is isn't viable? zzzz

Yeah. Just another game where most gens are done in 5 minutes, and I can't play long enough to do much. What I did do however was negated by free healing for all. My huntress couldn't keep up. Injure. Heal. Injure. Heal. All game.
Then you down someone and o look insta heal into a dead hard.
It's honestly laughable. 4 Gens done in 5 minutes and no toolboxes either. My biggest issue was keeping them hurt. Heal heal heal
Between speedboosts, instaheals, deadhards, and 100 pallets on every map this game is literally designed for swfs to hammer you into the dirt and your supposed to just take it.
Snuff the boon? Nah relight it. Down someone? Nah for the people or insta medkits. When all 5 gens are done and you struggle to get 3 or 4 hooks......
These are the matches I'm having.
Why would you want to win? Why? To play even harder games where people are worse? Everyone knows high MMR is nothing but 4man swfs and cheaters.
I'll just kill 1 every match then. Focus on daily challenges and archives.
You guys can keep your high mmr crap. It's to much cushion for survivors. To many chances and coordinating for killers to stand any actual chance.
It's a pretty miserable experience. 😕
Yeah, if the survivors have COH, it's practically an unwinnable match unless the survivors are braindead. The audacity of this perks strength is the sole reason I'm not enjoying killer at the moment. If I hear it go up, I either go afk because I refuse to play a losing match, or tunnel/camp.
-
Delete Circle of Healing.
-
I could go on a massive rant as to why Killer isn't fun in general, but for me at the minute as a killer main, the biggest hinderance to my enjoyment of the role, is Circle of Healing.
Oh my god, this survivor perk... it's beyond frustrating. It's the strongest survivor perk in the game right now, and it has zero counter play. As a killer, you can't chase, hook, chase, hook every individual survivor repeatedly for 12 hooks, there simply isn't enough time in the game to do this. So, it's a good strategy to simply injure survivors and leave them for an easier down later on instead of committing to a chase which often means less gen pressure. However, because of COH, you're forced into committing to every single chase you engage with, because if you injure a survivor and leave them, they'll simply go heal very quickly and negate all the progress you made whilst actually putting you at a time deficit. On top of this, no matter what the killer does in response to COH, they lose. Snuff it out? 4 survivors are doing generators and that's enough to lose the game, and guess what, they can just go bring COH back over and over and over. Leave COH up? Well enjoy playing against a healthy team for the entire game and having zero ability to snowball the game into a win, which is a necessity outside of tunnelling/camping if you want to win as killer.
What COH basically does is place the killer into a position where they must tunnel or camp every single hook and survivor unless the four survivors are beyond braindead. I'd rather face Old Decisive Strike, with the minute of invincibility, than face this perk, and if hear it go up, I immediately switch to tunnel/camp mode.

I dont see any artists in the match anymore :(
I just played another game with her and one of the survivors just stood under the hook wanting me to kill them.
It's like Spirit all over again
-
If you nerf perks across the board, you're really just nerfing survivors, since that's the entirety of their ''power'' whereas killers have their own legitimate powers that are independent to their perks, which are often, less impactful.
-
Because a 3v1 one minute into the match is practically a gg ez for the killer? Why should the survivors be forced to play a lost match?
Killer main btw.
-
All of the badham maps, fractured cowshed, Haddonfield, Disturbed Ward, Father Campbell's Chapel (PLEASE remove the breakable walls and god windows in the middle building, it ruins the entire map), the swamps, red forests, gideon meat plant, Ormond, Midwich, RPD
-
Why even bother playing him? Trickster does what he does, but better, easier, and more forgiving.

Boring as ####. Hold forward, look behind to make sure you don't get bird sniped, pre-drop a few pallets and that's about all you do against her. If you loop you're dead so it's all you can do, takes away a lot of the interaction and just puts me to sleep :/
Really don't enjoy facing her, didn't like playing her either. Haven't even got the DLC because everything is just so boring and the same as what we've got before. If I wanna play Artist then I might as well just play any of the other 115 anti-loop killers.
Not OP. Just dull.
I've played a couple of games tonight with her, and some survivors just give up or kill themselves on the hook if they see me as the Artist.
I get it, she's incredibly anti-fun.. but I love playing as her, so I feel guilty playing her.. ;_;

I feel like good Artists deserve the reward. It is possible to counter her birds at loops and such.
I suppose you can bait the birds and DH does counter it (well, by passing one bird).
But is she really fun to go against?
-
@GannTM said:
She is very fun to face. I feel like you can’t play against her the same way as most killers and she adds diversity. Even holding W, trying to dodge her shotguns is very fun to me. Can’t speak for everyone though :\
Really? Against a good artist, I feel like you can't really dodge her birds. You're practically forced to just hold W against her, and even though I love playing her, I despise going against her.
-

You get both as a non anti loop. It just depends how they feel.
I main Demogorgon, Leatherface & Wraith mainly. I've started playing the Artist and almost every single game, is survivors just holding W. I don't fault them for it, because its the only thing they can do. However, when I play Demogorgon, for example, I find that a lot of survivors are less inclined to hold W, to the point that its rare for me to go ''Oh my god, stop holding W'' to myself mid-game, which I seem to do almost every single game as the Artist, but rarely as these three other killers that can be looped.
Basically, I find survivors will hold W less against loopable killers.
-
But then, you play an anti-loop killer and get yourself against a SWF squad who holds W at the earliest possible moment.
Just had a game of holding W as the Artist, oh my god, it's actually mind numbing.
-
It's my favourite map, aesthetically. It's survivor-sided, but it isn't as absurd as some other maps like Haddonfield, or Badham. If you avoid the main building, it's actually a pretty decent map for the killer, most loops can be mind-gamed.
-
Demogorgon.
He's strong, but fair.
His shred can be dodged, mind-gamed and predicted by the sound he makes. But it's also powerful and a good zoning tool if used right.
His teleport is strong, as well, but can be disabled and deactivated by the survivors.
Everything he does, has fair counter-play, but remains strong.
-
I do think gates should regress slightly if survivors try to 99 them. Maybe have them regress back to 50%, this way, survivors need to properly coordinate opening the gates, and it would be a direct buff to blood warden, etc.
-
You're only punished for camping if the survivors recognise you're not going to leave the hook and as such, they decide to sit on generators instead of trying to save, or maximising each hook stage.
-
I play Dwight, David, or Felix.
I'm gay and horny.
-
Tunnelling and camping are legitimate strategies and are needed to win against good survivors or in specific situations. People need to stop villainising killers for doing these strategies when its often forced on them if they want to get a decent result.
-
Extremely boring for both sides.
As the killer, you're not actually chasing people, you're just walking around and setting up and waiting for a survivor to come into your web.
As a survivor, it's boring because you're not being chased and when you do get any interaction with the Hag, it's when you trigger an impossible-to-see trap.
Oh, and Hag's love to camp a hook with their 10 traps around them.
My most hated killer, honestly delete her.
-
Do nothing.
No gens
Not healing.
Not doing a totem
Not doing a chest
Just standing there as I watch them whilst being hooked, chased, doing a gen etc.
-
I rarely see her now.
Not surprising considering she's not fun to play as, or against because the entire gameplay is just hold W.
-

New killers certainly do not want to be matched with players with thousands of hours. Devs want players to stay and at least have a shot at winning some of their initial matches.
That's less about MMR and more about the lack of killer players being present.
If there was actually an abundance of killer players, you wouldn't see brand new killer players thrown into high level survivors because the game is desperate to fill the queue.
-
I would be absolutely fine for Decisive Strike to become a permanent effect if:
A) Blessing a totem deactivates it
B) Hooking another survivor, deactivates all active DS.
That way, it's a true anti-tunnel perk. Sure, survivors might do literally nothing to proc the stun, but if they're doing that, you're basically fighting a 3v1 for a while.
-
Her fundamental design just isn't fun, the main aspect of her power denies looping in a way that isn't even interesting or interactive.
Place birb, survivor has to run to next loop, place birb at that loop, rinse and repeat until you can get an M1.
It's just insanely boring. She needs a rework to change anything.
-
Leatherface, Wraith & Demogorgon.

Pretty sure it was killer mains in general demanding an MMR system for years.
No, it was predominately survivors complaining about potato teammates.
There's zero reason for killers to want MMR.
-
Remove the distance earned when using DH, replace it with a very short MoM effect if the killer hits them when its used.
There, now its counterable and more interactive.
-
Leatherface camping does need to be fixed, but part of me likes it as a Bubba main. Having the power to decide who is 100% dying because I can stand and watch them slowly die, is a power Iove. I generally only face camp if the survivors are toxic, or are using boons.
Having an easy way out, is pretty fun tbh.

I don't think they are intentionally Survivor-biased.
But there is no way Circle of Healing should have ever made it to the PTB, much less to live.
This.
COH should've never even happened to begin with.

Because the developers of this game are so far out of touch when it comes to their own game?
-
I think giving killers more incentive to chase different survivors is healthy.

And if something goes wrong at that point and prevents people from playing the game?
It's a matter of risk with the Live game...a lot wiser to not have things change when people are not available to fix things.
And what's wrong with leaving the event until the new year? You have nothing else coming in until the new year anyway, so what's wrong with leaving it up?
-
I will preface this all by saying that Tru3 is jumping the gun by assuming these survivors are ''tournament level''. He's playing Legion, a contender for the worst killer in the game, with arguably, only 1-2 decent perks against a SWF, with good to meta perks. I assume they're on discord, or comms as well. So yes, if Tru3 played a top-tier killer with meta perks, this very much could've gone differently. But he is essentially, bringing the worst killer loadout, against the best survivor loadout. The power level here is drastically in the survivors favour, sadly.
But yes, there are glaring issues in this video, the fact that Tru3 isn't able to progress the game because they're abusing the flashlight save out of a locker mechanic (and he can't even pressure the rescuer, because they're on the top floor, meaning he looses either way). The fact that he stares at a wall and still is flashlight saved, by a bug or hacking, who knows. Then the fact that these survivors aren't even playing to win, do the generators ASAP and escape, they're playing to simply mess the killer around for a bit, do the gens, and then leave. The presence of COH and DH making the progression killers want to achieve extremely difficult. All together, there wasn't much Tru3 could've done to win this game. Yes, if we are nit-picking, he made mistakes and could've played better, but it's a hypocritical stance given how the survivors made mistakes, but abused an unfair mechanic (locker saves) and used DH repeatedly to have second-chances. So, if it really takes the killer to play perfect to achieve anything, whereas, the survivors can just mess around and still do very well, there isn't any other way I can tell you that there is a fundamental balance problem with the game.
If this was me, I would've just stood in a corner for a couple of minutes, browse the internet, go eat, do some tasks, if they want to hold the game hostage, I would disconnect. I'm a killer main, but if I'm faced with a clear ''bully squad'' as you call it, I don't bother. In fact, watching this video and hearing a flashlight macro + COH going up was enough for me to know this wasn't going to be a pleasant experience for Tru3.

What an awful, awful perk that genuinely ruins the game.
B-b-B-bUt ''juSt wAiT iT oUt 5HeAd'' - some survivor main
Dead Hard is the biggest contributor to the frustration of playing killer. You can outplay a survivor, only to see them get a second-chance that they do not deserve. Oh, and every survivor commonly brings this perk and can use it multiple times, a minimum of 3 times before killed from the game, assuming you chase, hook, chase another.
So a minimum of 12 opportunities, assuming the survivors don't finish all the gens, to get a second-chance that requires no legitimate skill or effort, just press a button, and you basically get a third health state.
I wonder why killers have to tunnel and camp, right?

We are talking about which effect is more powerful.
Instant downs plus mori's or healing.
But that's not a fair context.
Yes, one-shots and outright murdering the survivor is stronger than a single heal, but that's looking at one part of a massive picture. If you look at everything, DH/NOED don't come close to the power of COH.
