Sounds neat. I would say that it absolutely must be based on your highest rank during that season, though, otherwise you would get people who would get to rank 1 and then stop playing just to play it safe.
That's why I added a rank decay system for both the survivor rank and the killer rank. If you don't play a survivor game within a week, you'll begin to de-pip everyday for that rank; the same applies to the killer.

Dead Hard hands down. Otherwise Balanced Landing.
But I stopped running either. I run fun builds more than anything.
I swear Dead Hard saves me countless times as a survivor, it's like a 3rd health state.

I'm sorry if you ran into my Nurse, you have to absolute dominate to pip at red ranks. :(
-
Specifically referring to the situation where the killer closes the hatch to trigger EGC, not when a gate is open.
The killer is supposed to be the power of 4 survivors, that's why you need to work together as survivors make it an even battle. If you fail to cooperate with your teammates, you'll see the killer becoming more dominant throughout the Trial. This is an asymmetrical horror game game, after all.

@xllxENIGMAxllx Thanks to for the notification. I'd love to see Clown improved but he's not the worst out of the bunch.
How would go about OVERHAULING clown?
Personally, I'd like to see his tonic take more area, while being able to throw bottles at a faster rate.

I have, they still respond with the same "we can't provide info at this time."
Also I find it funny this thread doesn't get put on the front page when someone posts anymore.
I'm sorry you have to go through that, I don't know what I can do to help you besides tagging some wholesome people here. I'm friends with a lot of Moderators, so perhaps they might see this thread when I @ them.

Why? Getting P3 on freddy isn't a chore, you could 3 Blink nurse all the points you needed to max him????
I think it's more about dedication, not the chore in my opinion. I'm not trying to say they should add legacy to Freddy, but I'm trying to let you know what it's more about. 😁
I'm rather neutral about OP's idea.

Honestly, all fog whispers should be held at a higher standard in my opinion, and no, I don't want every fog whisper to be changed into a care bear. I just want them to treat their role more seriously, that's it! 😁
-
Yikes, this is an actual problem, did you try sending a support ticket?
-
Imo that's the case. I only see complaining and whining about that perk from killer mains who think they are good but in reality they are mediocre at best.
Fun fact, if you use Make Your Choice, then you should know exactly the DS timer ends because both DS and MYC has a 60 second timer when the unhooked survivor is rescued. Therefore, once your MYC timer ends, it's safe to pick up the DS survivor.

- After the perk conditions are met, you will perform the Head On action when you rush out of a locker which causes Exhaustion.
- Head On will stun the Killer if the Killer enters the zone during the Head On animation or if the Killer was already in the zone when Head On is activated.
- Added text to stipulate the condition that you cannot use Head On if you have accrued idle crows.
Appreciated. 😍

I think Freddy is pretty decent to be honest! Yeah sure, he lost a lot of the things that made him good, but after a while, you'll see that he's not as bad as others are making him out to be (Besides the Snares).

Normal gameplay: Doing gens, healing others, unhooking, and whatever else you'd like to add.
He was simply crouching in his place doing NOTHING. "Nothing" is not normal gameplay.
Sometimes saving a teammate can also you get killed as well, which is why he chose NOT to save you.
Think of it like this, is it better for 1 survivor to get sacrificed or is it better for 2 survivors to get sacrificed? Obviously, it's the first option. However, I can agree that it's frustrating, which is why I tend to play killer more than survivor.

Leatherface. His power does nothing besides make him prime camping material.
That's what I been thinking, his power doesn't even help him while in close range because you can bump into so much obstacles.

He seems really strong, but his Fake Pallets are definitely better than his Dream Snare.
This could cause him to be add-on reliant, but at least the cheapest one is common :)

@No_Mither_No_Problem said:
Well you said “up to a maximum of a 150% total healing speed increase” which implies the ultimate net value would be +150, not +100.
Sorry, I'm not really good at wording perk effects. Yeah, your highest healing speed will be 100%, which is as fast as We'll Make It! :)
-
@No_Mither_No_Problem said:
There’s an error in your math.
A 150% healing speed increase is 2.5 charges a second. At 16 charges, it would take 6.4 seconds to heal somebody, not 8. That’s 0.4 seconds more than old We’ll Make It.
Also, the devs have prevented healing speed bonuses from being exceeding 100%.
Subtract the 50% penalty, and you'll get a 100% maximum healing speed increase. If the 50% penalty wasn't there, you'd be completely right. :)
-
so I’ve been using this perk for 10 rounds and the tokens I get are about one or two only, Meaning that I was only being a disadvantage to my team because I c…
Autodidact needs something else to guarantee Skill Checks, and I liked @No_Mither_No_Problem's idea.
Autodidact:
You start the trial with a -50% healing speed penalty. For every successful healing Skill Check, gain a 15%/20%/25% healing speed increase up to a maximum of 150% total healing speed increase.
Basically, the longer you're healing someone, odds are you'll get more Skill Checks to trigger! When you have this perk maxed out, it will take 8 seconds to heal a survivor the equivalent of a health state. :)
-
I use sometimes when I'm feeling bold, but otherwise, I'll stick to something else.
Btw, the perk is very buggy due to the protection hit detection. I explain everything more in detail in my thread:
Prologue: So, I been hearing from my friends and from the forums that MoM is a dead perk. -
Can't wait, through I'm just a console DBD player :P
-
If you don't remember me, I'm Nickenzie! :)
Autodidact
Sure, do you think it would be possible to remove the med-kit and the removal of great skill checks without the perk being OP? If it's not possible, then I'm okay with your suggestion.
Boil Over
I don't like increased wiggle speed IMO.
What about removing the killer's ability to see hooks while carrying you? No, there won't be a range limitation like the current version.
Calm Spirit
Sure! :)
Detective’s Hunch
Sure... again! :)
Head On
So, there's no way to miss the stun? That's fine by me since this perk is an exhaustion perk.
Left Behind
Instead of no scratch marks for 30 seconds, make it permanent and we will have something special here.
Lightweight
Sure! ;)
No Mither
I remember us talking about having an iridescent shard perk. If we do give survivors a way to earn them, what about killers? This could cause queues to skyrocket for survivors. Other than that, this is a great idea! :)
No One Left Behind
Perk is trash anyways, I agree with this buff. Through survivors are getting a lot of BP and iridescent shard perks, which could cause survivors queues to go crazy. :)
Open-Handed
Seems fair to me, and blindness needs a rework anyways.
Sole Survivor
I don't like the budget Iron Will in this perk because Iron Will would be kinda useless if this perk already has it. Sure it's not as strong and it has conditions, but I still don't like it.
I'd like Sole Survivor to make you completely invisible to the killer when you're further than 64 meters to the killer. Each sacrificed, killed, or disconnected survivor will make this effect 16 meters stronger.
What do you think?
Solidarity
Solid idea ;)
Vigil
What if damage from exposed effects are delayed by 15 seconds? Thoughts?
I'm experiencing a ton of input lag for some reason. Consequently, I'll update this comment later for the killer perks.
-
Simple; PWYF now only loses a stack if a offensive action connects with another characters entity, not missed.
I have an idea to buff PWYF without it being OP:
Play With Your Food:
You become Obsessed with ome survivor.
Every time you chase your Obsession and let them escape for 15 seconds, you and the Obsession will receive a 15% haste effect up to a maximum of 15%. Performing an successful offensive action will cause you and the Obsession to lose the haste bonus after 10/20/30 seconds.
The killer can only be Obsessed with one survivor at a time.

To be entirely honest, no. Basing the emblem on time is just stupid. There are too many other factors to consider. If survivors are super immersed and just play very cautiously, therefore taking say 10 minutes to do all the gens, that's not a reflection of your skill as killer. The survivors just took their time, you shouldn't be rewarded for that really.
It needs an entire overhaul to how it is calculated. I made a suggestion in the past, but now a few things have changed so IDK if it would work (specifically they added EGC).
The did seem to listen to my suggestions that all totems should count for Lightbringer and pallet stuns should count for Evader. Hopefully that means they are working on a new way to calculate Gatekeeper too.
Could you link it to me? I'd like to see your suggestion! :)
Also, while I agree that killers don't have much control over generators, they do have something to combat generators such as map pressure.
-
Totems are in a tricky position because of maps. Since maps are getting smaller with every update, totems have much less area to hide in. If maps are getting bigger, killers would suffer, especially the ones who don't have a mobility power.
I'd to see the developers check what parts of each map are the least explored, then build totems around that.
-
I swear to god this mechanic needs to have a toggle, it's so. B a d. The amount of games I've lost cuz of this damn feature is ridiculous.
Auto-aim is either a blessing or curse when I play Nurse. It either gives me hits that I don't deserve and other times it abruptly stops my lunge, causing a whiff.
-
Killer: I tend to play Nurse and Pig a lot, but I'm always nice about it because I don't camp or tunnel. In fact, I have perks to encourage me to not camp nor tunnel because why not?
Anyways, I got a SWF group and I switched to my Nurse just in case they were sweaty. Of course, I got the 0.1% of SWF that were the de-pip squad. However, when I downed this first survivor, I decided to not pick her up because I knew it was going to be a waste of my time. Guess what? She DC'd. I knew that she was going to DC so I didn't even bother trying to pick her up. It was amazing! :)
I did tell her "GG" tho, and later I added "Sorry" after I got called "Trash".
-
Make it were 40/50/60 percent of the time ruin does not effect skill checks. Make the % lower if needed to 30/40/50
I like the idea, but if the killer doesn't have Ruin, wouldn't the perk be useless?
-
@thesuicidefox said:
The only killer emblem that needs to be changed is Gatekeeper. The way it worked originally and now were both awful. We need an entirely new calculation, one where you are not required to micromanage survivor objectives.
After that, just fix Chaser/Malicious for one shots and bear traps. Also Devout should award gold if you get a 3k with minimum hooks.
Do you think my Gatekeeper suggestions will be enough? Is there anything you would add to it? :)

I thought BM meant Bad Manners.
Well, I learn something new everyday! :)

I love this idea. This would definitely be a big step forward in fixing the ranking system.
This would definitely help most killers to be honest, especially my version of Gatekeeper.
The thread has been updated, namely, explanations are more clear, and I added some more changes to it. :)

I'd like to see Enduring get a secondary effect such as being able to read the aura of the survivor who pallet stunned you for 5 seconds.

Number 2 is correct ONLY if he didn't stalk you before , which he could do and you wouldn't even know since you can't know how much stalk meter he filled on you until you are exposed. He can 99% you and the pop it at the right moment and you staring at him when he does that won't be fast enough.
Number 2 and 3, I'm assuming you have no progress on your stalk meter.
-
What if distressing made the terror radius non directional?
Instead of increasing BP, it should give bonus BP.
-
Left Behind is useless: the last survivor generally has a few seconds before the killer finds and closes the hatch, blocking all the generators.
I like this idea, it's like Technician for the Exit Gates. :)
-
@Gcarrara said:
Ok thanks for the clarification. So this doesn't actually encourage gen rushing, since people would need to do other things to go full stack.
It's an interesting concept for sure!
Since you are a moderator, can't you share this idea to the BHVR team? @Peanits what about you, since you helped share my idea?

The devs, we want survivors to have another objective.
+1
Yeah they need a secondary objective for sure, but I hope it's something that doesn't involve hold M1. It should be interactive.

@Dehitay said:
I definitely understand how this would be useful, but I also have the concerns about whether this might be too good at gaining really powerful addons. But at the very least, I wish there was something we could do to convert or sell less useful addons like Beast for Wraith.
We could have a limit to how much you can use the Crafting System per day.
Furthermore, like you said, we can also have an option to sell add-ons for 50% of their orginal price. Again, it doesn't have to be 50%, it could be lower or higher depending on the balance of the game.

Does leaning changes the amount of time it takes to stare at him to break him?
He stalks you A LOT faster when his is leaning. I think it's approximately 1 second for him to expose you while he's leaning, assuming you have no stalk progress on you.
It takes you 1.5 seconds to break him out of his stealth plus an additional 0.3 second buffer, which totals to 1.8 seconds.
-
I used to play religiously, but these past few weeks I feel like I've been playing a lot less. Could it be I've finally gotten bored after 2 years?
I average around 6 hours per day assuming everyday is a free one. However, if we include life stuff such as college, school, vacation, and etc... We're looking at an average of 2 hours per day.
-
Here are some tips against Ghostface:
- If you're in the dying state or on a hook, you can still reveal Ghostface by just looking at him.
- If he's NOT leaning and he's stalking you, just look at him to reveal him because you can reveal him before he can exposes you.
- If he IS leaning and he's stalking you, break LoS as soon as possible because you won't be able to reveal him fast enough to prevent the exposed status effect.
- Staying injured makes his Night Shroud useless as exposing you when you're already a 1-hit is practically useless. However, be careful with the mind games because he can still hide his red stain with his power.
- If you see Ghostface chasing your teammate, keep an eye on him because if he uses Night Shroud to mind game his position, he will get revealed.

It sounds cool and all, but how will the price and how will the chance of crafting a certain add-on with green add-ons produce let's say a Iridescent head? Or will it not be luck/chance based? I'd prefer from whatever rarity you have and make it into a chance system.
If you use 3 common add-ons, you'll get to pick an uncommon add-on.
If you use 3 uncommon add-ons, you'll get to pick an rare add-on.
If you use 3 rare add-ons, you'll get to pick an very rare add-on.
If you use 3 very rare add-ons, you'll get to pick an ultra rare add-on.
There is no luck involved, through there could be luck involved when you repeatedly use the Crafting System within a day. Maybe when the price to craft an add-on reaches above 50,000 BP, there's a 25% chance of it not working and you'll get nothing. Just spitballing some ideas here.
-
@Riddick said:
Simple yet effective idea. I like it. The bloodpoint cost is too high as in the true cost of the final add-on seems to be too high. Given how big the grind is, I would like this idea with smaller costs so it doesnt add to this game's grind and instead complements what a killer already has to go througg.
I'm a bit sceptical about lowering the price because if we do, more iridescent hatchets, tombstones, instant heals, keys (Milky Glass), and etc. We need to find a balance, I'll let more forum users comment about the price before I decide on changing it. :)
-
Then wouldn't female survivors be meta because they always have a smaller body? What about Male survivors?
-
The EGC can be BS sometimes as the gates can spawn within LoS of each of other, but the same can apply to the killer where each one spawns across the map.
Honestly, we just need a minimum/maximum exit gate spawning rule, and we'll be good. It would be even better if the rule changed depending on your killer's mobility. :)

Today I had it. please ban farmers, they don't do anything but ruin the game for the rest of the survivors. I would ban their ass to Uranus and beyond.
Sometimes you have no choice when the killer camps, and you're about to get sacrificed. At least I'm giving my teammates a chance rather than no chance at all.
