I understand, but whenever I get exhaustion and I'm not using any type of exhaustion perk. The status effect feels rather useless and I'm not affect by the status effect in anyway. Now, it effects everyone including the people who aren't running exhaustion perks! Oh, the blur can bebe toned down just a little but I wanna give you the sensation of being tired with the blurry screen!Peanits said:I always thought that would be nice for bleedout. Especially towards the end, it would add some extra tension.
I think the exhaustion one might be a little too much, though. I don't typically run exhaustion perks but I could see it getting annoying if the screen blurs during every single chase.

I don't think people realise the only reason -this- game works is because of third person view for the survivors. It wouldn't be very fun for a survivor if they couldn't see where the killer is when they're running in between certain objects, it would make stealth incredible useless, as the only way you can convincingly hide from something is if you can see it.
I wouldn't mind if they tried it, but I really don't think it would make the game better and would in fact make it unfun for the other side.
I think it could work, just keep the 3rd person view just don't let them look behind them. If they tested it we could all see how it works and you could still stealth it's just that it would be a little more difficult. It could also upgrade the killers mindgame potential around pallets. It would need lots of testing before actually making it into the game though.
I just don't think it would work, honestly.

I can tell you that the blur on your screen is not heavy on GPUs, it's actually easier on GPUs because your screen has less detail or a technical computer science term, it's called lossless compression. Have you ever watched a YouTube video and it gets blurry? It gets blurry because it loads the video faster since the video requires less detail or packets! Same thing with DBD, if this was added, your computer would actually run the game better since when you're in dying state, less detail means that your computer would take less time to create every single detail.Radiant said:1) blur is heavy on CPUs\GPUs

Knockout can make the HUD screen very dark and blurry for the first 30 seconds. Maybe the picture where the survivor has 10 seconds left is great for Knockout and can help against SWF. However if the survivor remembers where they are before they went down, that kinda ruins the perk, again.ItsYourBoyGuzma said:i really wish these dark/ faded ideas were added to knockout to make it a perk to help combat SWF groups because they'll just give out info of their location anyways.
I always wanted knockout to a dazed/darkened HUD screen for survivors, but well done on the post OP

Same thing with the killer, I can just use BBQ and then spend the bloodpoints that I got as a killer on my survivors. Do you wanna nerf BBQ because I can farm Bloodpoints as a killer and then use them on my survivor? Exactly. Seriously, what's the big deal with having more bloodpoints? I'm starting to think that every killer that disagrees doesn't want survivors to have their own way to gain as much bloodpoints as the killer does with BBQ.Wolf74 said:@Nickenzie said:

I understand that the killer is the power role but, a bloodpoint perk doesn't make survivors any stronger or any weaker. It's just something to encourage you to do something with a reward. Think of it as Dailies, it doesn't make you any stronger or weaker but it encourages you to do something for a reward.
Which is wrong. Having more bloodpoints at your disposal means you have more access to high quality items and add ons that you can bring into a match to make you … gasp … "stronger".

The no sound bell needs to be removed immediately. That is one of the biggest unfair advantages in this game and completely goes against the whole concept of the game. If you use that along with the fast decloak, there is no way you should ever come close to losing or the survivors getting anywhere near the generators repaired. I played with it and I am not that great at being the killer nor did I have a very fast decloak going on and I wiped through teams easily. What really got me is when i was repairing a generator, did not see the distortion as I was looking for it, and the same second I could tell he was right behind me and decloaking, he had already grabbed me. That is pathetic and needs to be done away with immediately.

Spirit is the poor mans version of Nurse, Billy gets destroyed by pallets (I just did a 5 generator run against a Billy with no perks), Huntress is a valid high killer but I don't see her a lot, Michael gets destroyed by pallets, Hag is actually a high tier killer not a mid tier because she can prevent loops, and trapper is the poor man's version of the hag. I only see one or two killer's that force survivors to hide and that's sad, we need more killers that strike the fear of God on to survivors.Bug_Reporter said:@Nickenzie said:

Lore Question: If the a survivor loses all hope of escaping and knows there's NO ESCAPE, does the survivor starve the Entity the hope it feeds off and causes the Entity to release the survivor back to their original world?
-
Here's the thing, survivors have 3 lines of defense:Visionmaker said:I get that people have their opinions but three+blink Nurse is so triggering.
-Hiding
A Nurse with 5 blink can't sacrifice what they can't find. If you are always hiding, try to at least get two generators to secure the hatch when you are the last survivor. Additionally, you can avoid the next two situations altogether if you are great ata stealthing!
-Juking/Losing the chase
Try to break line of sight and hide when she is fatigued. A great survivor is unpredictable and can cause the Nurse to incorrectly predict her blink which in turn you can hide in a corner! Don't keep running because she'll quickly find you and now you're back a square one but worse, you're injured! Iron Will can be the difference in losing the Nurse or not if you're hiding close to her.
-Looping
Looping is irrelevant to the Nurse and you only have two health states. Use them to risk losing the chase/juking because a Nurse can quickly burn through your two health states.
However most survivors don't hide and that completely throws away their first line of defense. Then they don't try to juke or lose the chase which throws away their second line of defense. Finally they are stuck at trying to loop or just simply trying to out run the Nurse which never works. You'll get injured then downed before you knew what hit you. If survivors are more stealthy, you wouldn't need to rely on the other two defenses and could avoid the situation all together. I'm not directing this to you @Visionmaker, this is a PSA to all survivors that are having trouble with the Nurse. -
He sums it all up for you ^^^EqMonkVeeshan said:@Elegant said:
They don't need to make other killers higher tier. They just need to actually do something with how stupidly overpowered the nurse is. She needs a full blown rework to actually see any meaningful balance. The solution is never to just buff killers to the point of being overpowered. That just makes the game incredibly unfun for survivors. I already dodge every single nurse game because it's impossible to have fun vs. Making other killers overpowered would just take away fun from the game. Instead, they just need to figure out a way/ways to increase the length of the game and people will be more willing to not play the same 3 killers in rank 1.I for one enjoy going against the Nurse. I feel the nurse is perfectly balanced. she is hard to go against yes and in some killers hands she is outright lethal but all the killers should be. I say this as a Survivor main. I am sick of just seeing only Nurses and Billys in the higher ranks. even though them are the only matches that really can go either way. as i said over and over in the spirits ptb. they need to make more killers higher tier. the nurse is perfectly fine how she is. you just need to learn to play against her. you have to go against her differently. sadly most survivors will not bother to attempt to get good at playing against the nurse they DC out. then cry about how OP she is when in reality shes the most balanced killer out there.
Nurse is balanced, adapt! -
Nurse is balanced in my opinion. I don't wanna explain why but just ask and I'll go in-depth about why I think that she is.Elegant said:They don't need to make other killers higher tier. Anyways, how are the maps @Lowbei? In my opinion, BL should be removed when the maps are completely balanced. Balanced meaning that a single survivor can't loop killers for a while when both players are equally skilled. Let's say no more than 1 minute?
"Eh, not many killers need BL3 anyways and you hardly ever reach BL3 anyways!"
If BL3 was so rare then why nerf it? I hear that statement a lot from fog travelers. -

Plus change slippery meat to reduce the time needed to free yourself, and make trapper’s addons increase the time needed to free yourself.
This would make his effectiveness less RNG dependent, would give him a reason to use other addons. -

Brutal Strength was eventually nerfed and the base pallet breaking speed of all killers was brought up to compensate, freeing up a perk slot for killers and allowing for more diversity in builds.
While I feel that BS was nerfed a tad too much (BS+the base speed buff is still slower than pre-BS nerf), I think it's about time that Enduring receives a similar approach and the base stun duration of killers is decreased so that Enduring isn't as required on non-Nurse killers.

For Monstrous Shrine, I don't like the idea of taking away the survivor's perks because it doesn't feel right and fun for them. As a person who plays both sides equally, I wanna make both sides more fun and enjoyable to play. That's why I changed BoP and Monstrous Shrine to be more fun based for both sides, meaning the killer gets rewarded for not camping and tunneling. Besides, I think there should be more mechanics in general that awards the killer to not camping and tunneling however it sucks that you get a lot of momentum from doing it. Don't get me wrong, there are times where you need to camp and it's a strategy but there should be things that awards the killer for not doing these things.
I have mixed feelings about that since Calm Spirit will now be useless.
Sorry, but... every time someone brings up the "but both sides should" routine, it goes against the killer.
"Both should have fun" usually ends up with, killer should not camp, killer should not tunnel, etc.
When have you ever seen someone bringing up the "both should have fun" argument with a survivor perk?
Perks are there to give the one choosing that perk an advantage.
Only killer perks have mechanics build in that benefits the survivor. -
