Legions don't actually want to win
They just want to make the biggest frenzy chain hit possible
I agree, they just want to injure survivors constantly so they can pip.

Obviously they’re all just stereotypes as not every player plays like the way I described. But I see so many Nea players who think they are the next No0b3 and it’s so embarrassing. I’ll never understand the concept of chasing the killer around and not doing a single objective. Maybe play a different game? Haha.
I couldn't have put it better.

Megs have a bad rep for being awful teammates and just plain potatoes, which is a shame as I am a Meg main mostly and I am nothing like the typical Meg player.
Claudette’s are either super toxic and love chasing the killer around with a flashlight instead of doing anything useful for the rest of the team OR they travel around the map with Urban Evasion and wait for generators to be complete or the hatch to spawn.
Steve, David and Ace players are normally extremely cocky and love trying to do anything they can to make the killer have a terrible gaming experience. Again, this is a shame as I play all of those characters and I’m not like that. But I feel like I get tunnelled a lot as those characters because of how most people play them. They definitely give most killers PTSD.
Most Nea’s try their hardest to be No0b3 and fail miserably.
Dwight is either a complete troll and will do stupid stuff like hiding in the basement to just teabag whilst you’re on the hook or they will be the first player found and killed. I feel like he attracts very noobish players.
Freddy will teleport back to your hook to down you straight away. Tunnelling is his favourite hobby.
Wraith will remain cloaked whilst somebody gets saved so he can down them instantly. His favourite place to hang around is by the hook.
Once you’re trapped by the Pig it’s game over as she will follow you to every box to make sure you don’t get to remove it. You will either die by hook or your head will explode.
I agree with you on Nea, it is so annoying seeing a Nea in game, t bagging at pallets and trying to flashlight save. Then that Nea proves to be such a phony, they go down easily.

Ouch, I am sad now.
Not all Billy's are like this. Also I know this is off topic, but your name is funny.

All you have to do as survivor is run around loops in circles until the killer is close enough for you to stun. Also you have to know how to hit skill checks and you are good for survivor. Certain perks help survivors even more like ds, borrow time etc. Killer is much, much harder. I can't begin to explain how much harder and more stressful killer can be.
-
Survivor: Small game is very situational for trap killers. Finding totems isn't much of a priority anymore, detectives hunch is better for that.

@DSN512 said:
Let's do some challenges - I pick the safe unhooks challenge. My first game, I get found first and tunneled through my DS. Somehow I get away after my second hook and get time to breathe. Later I see a chance to unhook someone. Of course the killer is there but I sacrifice myself, I have BT anyway. Nope, it's hag so she hits him and then immediately teleports and hits again. Unsafe rescue and I'm dead.
The next game is pretty much the same. Rank 1 camping spirit. Using kindred I see that she's always near the hook. That's usually a loss for the killer, except that I have 2 green ranks on my team and they had no idea what to do against a camper. You know the rest.
So I decide to play killer. Here's the twist - the next 2 games every survivor is rank 1-2 and they are all co-ordinated, glued to gens, blocking hits, spreading hooks around. The games are over in less than 5 minutes. No time to do really do anything except sweat my ass off and get severely punished for each and every mistake. God forbid I try a sub-optimal perk for "fun".
I own every killer and every survivor and countless skins and I have uninstalled my game. I'm done. I'm sick of being in the worst case scenario every game, every evening trying to convince myself that I'm enjoying it.
I have taken so many breaks from this game, some for months, I came back 2 weeks ago, it was fun for a while until I got into red ranks. I can't take it because every day when I wake up, I feel like I have to play dbd and Pip and X amount of times. Killer feels like a chore. I am on break until PH comes out, after 2 weeks of playing him I will take another 2 week break and so on. I think the game is more fun when I take a break and come back.

Steve players who don't wear the Scoops outfit are monsters who deserve to be tunneled, who definitely don't deserve Nancy, and who secretly believe some nonsense thing like "Trapper is actually a good killer" or whatever.
Yeah, anyone who doesn't wear scoops or the default outfit are usually very annoying or tryhard. Even as a now trapper main, I think he is a low tier killer.

Survivor
Steve's tend to be some of the most annoying Survivors I've played with and face. Maybe it's how he is designed, but most players seem to also play really cocky with him which just gets infuriating as Killer but at least as Survivor, that gives me time to work on the objective while the Steve is focused on the Killer (and far away from me from becoming an annoyance.)
Killer
Hillbilly's who rely on One-Downs all the time tend to be much worse than they actually think they are, A Hillbilly who always one-downs is a noob stomper, but against a competent team he will be freaking wrecked. I'm mainly saying this because everytime I face a Billy like this my teammates started massively losing braincells and just lets him get his free down.
I agree on both. Steve is my favourite survivor, because of his cosmetics and I like stranger things, but most Steves play very cocky and annoying. Billy players usually think they are better than they actually are.
-
@Orion said:
Never trust a Meg, she will lead the killer to you if she ######### up by being too cocky.
Claudette doesn't do anything useful. If the killer is camping, she'll stay crouched somewhere around the hook. If the killer isn't camping, she'll stay crouched somewhere else.
Dwight is either a god or a noob. There is no middle ground.
Completely agree with you on Dwight. A Dwight will either do nothing, or be the core of the team.

How about this: None.
I dislike watching 'YouTubers' play DBD or any game for that matter.
I have never got my head around the attraction of watching some annoying berk play a game, whilst squealing, making silly baby voices, with interspersed animated meme gifs popping up on the screen.
It could be argued that players learn tactics from these individuals, but I think I would slip in to a coma if I had to sit through a 3 hour live stream whilst a seasoned Pop vinyl collector shouts, screams and says "Y'all!" every 5 minutes.
They get right up my ruddy nose.
I completely understand. I have started watching some streams because I am bored in the lockdown. I do agree that most of them are annoying and I even find some streamers that I like annoying. I respect your opinion a lot, I usually watch music reviewers on youtube, but now it's like half dbd half music.

I knew him from dark souls so it was an obvious streamer to follow
Tru3 is probably the person that thought me the most of the game though. Probably the streamer i watched the most when i started this game
No problem mate, I didn't find it rude, we all misinterpret some things. I agree with you on Otz, I used to never watch streamers but now I find it fun.

Yeah, that guy Not Otzdarva is so annoying. He is a carbon copy of Otz. He is like the Greta Van Fleet of youtube. The man even payed for his same clothes, hairstyle and facial features of Otz. Not Otzdarva is a Otzdarva Stan.

Scott and zubat for entertainment, Zubat has genuinely influenced my outlook on life. Now I trivialize everything
I personally don't find them entertaining, but I get why people like them. I think they are a tad bit overrated, because people keep calling them the best killers. Zubat has a great personality, but Scott beefs with a lot of people on twitter and acts overly aggressive in my opinion.

I fear this is the state of the game. People leaving until a big patch or dlc comes out. Then 2 weeks later they leave again. This game isn't providing much incentive to stick around.
I think it was 3 weeks ago that I came back, before this, I took a break when the archives were added. When I came back it was fun, until I got the rank 5 which I am sitting at now.
-
@JFF said:
To be honest, either side can be considered a "chore" if you play it way too much. You will slowly stop having fun and start noticing the negative aspects of the role. Taking a break is actually good choice if you're not really having fun. For me personally 2-3 weeks break work the best to get me back into the "mood" for DBD.
I agree, I will probably come back for PH in 2 weeks, and if I am still not having fun, I will wait until the mid chapter patch.

It can be the problem if you down survivor without chase. Beartraps or distant hatchets for example.
But most common problem - you hook them once or twice each. Their suicide on first can prevent you from pipping and it's frustraiting sometimes. You there to entertain survivors and you have to hook them 9-12 times per game if you want to rank up.
Also, 1 of them did suicide. Thanks for telling me though. I didn't know that bear traps can prevent pipping sometimes.

I was very disappointed about the poor movie adaption of the dark tower. I was just starting to read the 6th book in the series when I saw that movie. Even then I knew they were doing things all wrong. Normally I'm, against changing a main characters race unless the replacement does a good job. In Marvels case I was cool with Sam Jackson playing Fury. In Dark Tower I was absolutely fine with Idris Elba playing Roland. But Matthew Mcconaughey was a terrible Walter.
Exactly my problem with the movie, Flagg was terrible in the movie, he was so corny.

I've only played Spirit twice and got a 3k and a 4k. I'm a Rank 1 Killer player.
I just slapped on Stridor, BBQ and Pop and was good to go. She doesn't really have any learning curve. If you're good with standard 115 Killers and looping, Spirit won't be anything new at all. It's basically mindgaming except the Killer has all the control and the Survivors are the ones guessing.
It's just crazy to me that Spirit is so strong, yet so unbelievably easy to pick up and play. Killers like Nurse and Billy I can't do anything with. But Spirit piece of cake. Survivors will literally give you free downs and hits if you stand still. It's easier to get hits with Spirit's power than Legion's Power and you can down Survivors and don't have a fatigue
I agree, she is very unfun for me to play. She is very easy because all you need is subpar headphones.

PC players don't have a significant advantage over console players in a game such as DBD.
Hmm, let me see. Console has HUGE fps drops, no optimisation, and low fps. PC has, stretched resolution, mouse and keyboard, high fps and hacks. If that isn't a significant advantage, I don't know what is.

Any bloodpoint addons like already mentioned.
Tombstone Piece on michael; it takes ages to charge up and if you play it wrong just get a single insta kill, then back to t2 for most of the match. It's just pretty boring as and against (same with Judith's but at least you're slow in that one).
Anything on nurse.
Instructions for a toolbox--what's the point of removing skillchecks when the box lasts 8 seconds? Seriously?
I disagree, tombstone piece is very good when paired with faster stalking add-ons but Judiths tombstone is trash.

Any of the Bloodpoint Add-ons from any Killer.
Rickety Chain from Deathslinger, Kid's Drawing from Freddy, Padded Jaws from Trapper, Scarred Hand from Hag, White-Nit Comb from Nurse, and Vanity Mirror on Myers (at least Scratched Mirror has some use for Jumpscare builds)
I agree, bloodpoint addons usually bring a HUGE hindrance to the killer like on billy.

Before I start for disclosure I play on console so my response may differ on PC.
Anything Nurse has.
Its already difficult to learn Nurse blinks (timing/distance) and using add-ons messes with your eventual understanding. If you end up becoming proficient with an add-on you will notice the struggle once you run out.
I feel Nurse is a killer best played without add-ons.
I am on console as well, I agree because nurse is based on muscle memory and it hurts you to play with most add-ons on her.

I recently prestiged demogorgon (my main as of now) and I realized just how bad he is without perks to synergize his play style. I keep getting useless perks like monstrous shrine and hex third seal. Prestiging is an even bigger problem if you grinded to unlock every killer or survivor perk in the game. Before survivor mains comment on this post saying " just be good at the game and you won't have a problem" 1. This problem affects survivors too 2. Try removing all the perks most survivors run (DS, Adrenaline, DH, etc) and see how your games go 3. Killer is much more stressful than survivor, making it more necessary for a killer, especially a lower tier one, to have to use perks to keep up with survivors 4. I have played pretty much every killer and usually get a 4k or 3k depending on hatch spawns or how good the survivors are that I face. That being said, I believe a change is necessary to the Prestiging system. The following will be suggestions/my opinion:
1. Make it an xp leveling up system rather than spending blood points on prestiging. It would require the player to actually play the character they wish to rank up rather than spending their time on other characters to earn bloodpoints because that character has the perks and others don't. The blood web can still be used to get perks and add-ons, but not for prestiging and unlocking the skins for the character.
2. Make it a kill or escape count achievement. This will actually show how good the killer or survivor you are facing is. This would also provide the player with an achievement for playing and being good at the game. An example would be: 100: 300: 500 kills for killer skins and 50: 100: 200 escapes for the survivor skins. This achievement would be for each killer/survivor. You would earn BP along the way to unlock perks and add ons to unlock in the blood web, rather than spending the few blood points you earn to restart your progression.
3. Make it a games played achievement. This one may not be too popular, but it shows dedication to the game. Play a killer or survivor 50: 150: 250 times you unlock the bloody skin.
All these suggestions would encourage the player to continue to use their favorite characters, and try out new ones. It adds a sense of accomplishment rather than just grinding for blood points.
Let me know your thoughts or any other changes you would implement in the comments :) have a good day!
Very well spoken, I think you should be allowed to pick one perk to appear in your bloodweb when you're level 50.
