Has anyone played Aliens: Fireteam Elite? You cannot crouch unless against a wall, in which case it snaps you too it. This way the crouch can't be abused.

Another more extreme idea - time spent crouching at the gate is calculated to deduct points from that survivor.

Honestly, teabagging is a valid psychological strategy in this game. It angers the killer and causes the killer to chase you. I play killer half the time and know better than to chase the survivor teabagging you or flash-light clicking at you. They are obviously trying to control your actions. If fact, in this type of game, mindgaming is a very massive part of this game. If you are falling for teabagging and flash-light clicking, you are obviously not as good at the game as you think you are.

By rip apart, I mean take you on an endless loop, blind you with flashbangs, torches, blast mines, run kindred+openhanded and every tactic there is in the book of sweaty tryhards. Basically bully killers into submission.

For eg: I just finished a game in fractured cowshed with trickster who brought his pink addon that exposes you when you are at max laceration. He brought Devour Hope and Haunted too. He got the first 3 hooks easy but afterwards we were looping him like crazy, doing gens at a normal pace, till the time where all 5 gens were done and he had not gotten any more hooks other than the initial 3.

You know what he did after that? He DC-ed. Who quits mid game? A loser that too with exposed perks and addons quits.

TL:DR you camp and tunnel, we will lash back in the way we can. :)

Is it really called "torches" in your version of the game?

I just played a match as survivor and I was lagging super badly, the game was so unplayable. After the match, the killer accused me of hacking. They said that I was abusing torrent hacks?? because I was glitching from place to place. That was obviously lag, the survivors even saw me glitching from place to place when they were downed or hooked, because of the aura yk and one of them even backed me up in the End Game Chat. But the killer said to report me, now I'm scared I might get banned, even tho I wasn't hacking. :(

After reviewing your case, we do think that a 48 hour ban is warranted.

Real wold analogies don't fit in a game like dbd. You're playing as a Killer, trying to appease a God by sacrificing 4 teens, so stop.

If 2 Survivors come for the rescue, and we use your 15 Meter Radius, the Killer can either chase 1 Survivor and lose the hook, or remain in the Radius, making it go slower, allowing for more time on gens.

Also, why should I change the way I talk? Is it hard for you to understand? Maybe you should READ BETTER!!1!!!!

    Ace is not a teen.

This might make sense if Nurses and Blight were only paired with SWF on Mothers Dwelling snd Coldwind, while Myers and Ghostface only faces solos on indoor maps.

Unfortunately that doesn't happen. Anyone can face anyone else on any map.

Well MMR balances everything out. If you are in high MMR, then it's pretty much Nurses and Blights. It's kind of hodge-podge balancing. Certain killers work better at high ranks.

The question in this post is not me asking the community what makes him bad. I am asking, why did they decide to make one of the most iconic horror villains ever, a boring, uninspired, garbage can. I am not the biggest Freddy fan, but it really baffles me how they made him one of the most boring killers to ever go against, or play as. Placing pools of blood on the floor or summoning fake pallets is sooooo... boring. You have unlimited potential with a killer who can manipulate anything in his own dream world, yet you choose to make very boring powers for the killer. It is, just, really odd to me, how all of the popular licensed characters are just B tier at most, aside from Pyramid Head.

Everyone knows Freddy Krueger, and I cannot imagine the disappointment when he was first released. The short time where he was an A-S tier killer, was not good either. He was still a boring, uninspired, mess of a killer. I wish he was more playable, because his concept is genuinely interesting for both sides to play with. Instead, they wrote some lore about how the entity "nerfed his powers in some ways", so that they could rule out the creativity with his kit. Very disappointing.

Freddy is very strong and much better than the original Freddy.

DS is perfectly fine, one 5 second stun is plenty. If it worked twice it would probably get abused a lot.

Killers just shrug off DS and continue to tunnel. It needs to be buffed to work twice.

Basically a proxy-tunneling killer downs a survivor. Then they hook that survivor and stay within heartbeat range to proxy-tunnel the survivor off hook. They take the DS, then down and hook that survivor again. Then they proxy-tunnel the survivor off hook and kill them.

This isn't a perfect buff because the tunneled survivor still gets killed without really playing the game but at least it gives them a 2nd run.

DS right now is suppose to be an anti-tunnel tool, but it doesn't really work as that since the Killer just shrugs it off.

  • @Terramortius said:

Let's all address the elephant in the room.

Us survivor mains hate tunneling and camping killers.

You killer mains hate DS, unbreakable, etc.

Either way, this game is surv sided and it isn't fun for killers for the most part. Camping and tunneling isn't fun for us either but people still do it.

(BM people should be punished somehow but I won't include that in this suggestion)

    SOOOOO....

    I propose a rework.

    For survivors:

DS should mainly be a perk to stop tunneling, not charge at the killer when he isn't near you and make him eat your DS so the perk has value if the killer doesn't tunnel you.

DS should remain active even after unhooking someone, doing gens, etc BUTTTT. Last only 20/25/30 seconds. This way, if you don't heavy tunnel someone, you won't have to worry about DS anymore. By the time you down him, you just have to wait a max of 10 seconds before picking him up considering you end that chase quick.

Borrowed time is like a DS in the sense that both are insurance policies, just that one is for your teammates and the other for yourself.

Borrowed time provides enough time for a survivor to get unhooked and run to a pallet/ window so no issues here ESPECIALLY IF YOU DON'T CAMP OR TUNNEL.

Unbreakable speed isn't much already but if you guys think it's unfair, maybe a small nerf? 15%/20%/25%?

    For killers:

We have a problem with tunneling and camping.

Tunneling can only mainly be solved by changing surv perks. So Won't touch on that in this sector.

Camping wise, someone else did bring this idea up before on the forum but I'll refine the idea here.

Anytime a killer is within 12-14m of a hooked survivor, their hook state bar drops 50-60% slower.

Face camping means a ton of space to breathe for survs and at least no bubba face camp where there is no counter play

Proxy camping would now be brought to an ethical level where there is at least space to unhook the survivor and run a short distance away from the killer.

Completely not camping means that the game progresses on like how it is now.

Unbreakable is the only viable counter to slugging, there's no reason to nerf it.

DS is the only viable counter to tunneling, it should probably be buffed so it works more than once since more killers just shrug off DS and keep after you.

    Borrowed Time is fine.

What you are talking about doesn't address tunneling or slugging at all. Also, your solution for camping has been tried before. I would suggest adding the modifier, "while the killer isn't in a chase".

  • @ThatOneDemoPlayer said:

Nurse doesn't need a nerf as long as the game remains this unbalanced for all Killers except Nurse and Blight

The game is balanced for all killers. Nurse, Blight, Billy and Spirit are made for great SWFs with meta perks. However, you can't just balance the game for pro SWFs with meta perks. You also have regular SWFs and solo players to think of, so the other killers are balanced toward those players.

  • @Seraphor said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2653493#Comment_2653493

Gen speeds haven't changed, nor have survivors gained any significant repair perks, but the game is getting more and more intense and unmanageable for the killer.

While there have always been large maps, there's an obvious trend that high mobility killers do well on them. Map pressure is the main factor, and large maps exacerbate the problem.

What has changed recently is boon perks. They make it substantially more difficult to maintain map pressure, either by forcing you to traverse more of it to snuff them out, or by create safe zones where you can't easily find or pressure survivors.

If gens were any slower, playing survivor would be unbearably boring.

The game is balanced, you just don't understand how it's balanced.

The game is balanced around Killer tiers. There are certain Killers that work against pro SWFs on both large and small maps with meta perks. There are certain Killers balanced around regular SWFs, partial good SWFs and good Solos with certain perks. Then there are certain Killers balanced toward Solos.

Nurse, Blight, Spirit and Billy are made to go against SWFs with meta perks on large and small maps. If large maps were reduced in size, then those killers kill rates would sky rocket. So asking for smaller maps also means asking for those 4 killers to be nerfed heavily. Asking to slow down gen speeds is also asking for those killers to be heavily nerfed. I'm assuming you are not asking for those Killers to be nerfed.

You can't ask for one without asking for the other.

This thread honestly i wasnt going to respond to because the premise is flawed. You're upset about a subset of killers that heavily rely on their powers to be even remotely efficient.

I do take issue with claiming the devs have started to introduce anti-aura perks. Distortion has been around since Jeff/Legion release. Lockers exist and have ALWAYS hidden auras. The only aura reading that was considered broken enough to nerf into oblivion was ironically a survivor aura perk with OoO.

Im gonna finish this rant with why your premise is bad. You're complaining about not being able to do anything against these subset of killers that can ignore walls/terrain. Yeah? So what? If you try to loop a nurse on a short wall you're derpy. If you constantly get hit by PH, Nemesis tentacle or deathslinger then stop playing predictably. You balls rush to a pallet you are an easy target, you run behind a high wall in a straight line with no feint or deviation you're an easy target. Stop trying to neef killers you seem to struggle against and attempt to justify it.

I'm not upset as a subset of killers that heavily rely on anti-looping powers, in fact I only consider the Nurse OP and needing a total rework. (The Artist may end up being OP, but we'll wait and see).

Looping is meaningful because if a survivor beats the killer at looping, then they gain time for the team, if the killer beats the survivor at looping, the team loses time. If you hold "w" as a survivor, then you always get the same amount of time just because of how fast each killer and each survivor moves.

With anti-looping killers, there's not really a way to gain time for survivors, or reduce time for killers. It's bad design.

  • @SunsetSherbet said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2647310#Comment_2647310

But why bother looping when it's weaker than W? Even against m1 killers. A monkey taught to hold W and press space when it gets near a pallet is honestly better at occupying the killers time than a loop God, because the game has been balanced into a way where W is stronger. On a large map or multifloor map you can run the killer for a long long time. You can run a killer from one side of mothers dwelling to the other and then back again, unless the killer has range or an ability to close the gap suddenly. And there isn't really any counter to it, and as a killer you can't really hope the survivor messes up like they could at a loop, because the only mess up they can do in the hold W strategy is not head toward a pallet.

The answer is to weaken the W strategy. As is looping is barely worth it when you can just Hold W across the map and waste the killers time with almost no chance for you to mess things up. And that's kind of a big issue when looping (something that requires skill) is genuinely worse than just holding W and pressing space at pallets (something that can be done by anyone with working limbs.) But since they're releasing "Hold W: The perk" I don't think we're moving from that direction.

It was not always like this, either.

Good looping on the survivors part or bad chases on the killers (like killers immediately chasing someone around the killer shack), give much more time for the survivor if the survivor wins or much less time for the killer if the killer wins.

Holding "w" doesn't gain or lose you time. However, with anti-looping killers, that's all either side has.

  • @Hunter_Main_322 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2648167#Comment_2648167

I suggest that when the killer hangs the survivor on the hook, he gets a buff in the form of a kick on the generator with a 10% loss of progress for 20 seconds, but if the timer expires, then these 10% will turn into progress on all generators, ignoring regression

This motivates you not to stand near the hook, but to go and do something.

    I really like that idea.

  • @Irisora said:

The ones to blame are the devs not the few killers that still play this game sadly. Since boons and hit validation, specially DH validation killers are camping and tunneling from hook 1 considerably more than before.

You have arrived in a bad time to the game my friend. It wasn't like this before this patches, changes that clearly aren't healthy for the game as this are the consequences of devs bias.

That being said.. i highly doubt that the devs will step back with this changes. So if the they come with a solution to camping from hook 1 i can guarantee that it will damage the killer community even more, instead of finding an option that benefit both sides which should be the right choice.

And one of this options could be for example, balance the game so killers don't feel the need to do that anymore, because lets be clear, the only people that face camp are frustrated players cause there is no fun either as killer in doing that.

So balance should be the priority for a healthier and less toxic game, and only after that some punishment to face camping could be applied if still exist.

I don't think the woe-is-me I'm a killer and there's so few of us left is going to fly. Judging by these forums alone, there's plenty of killers out there. Also, judging by how I can play as survivor and insta-queue into a game, also shows there's plenty of killer players. In fact, its when I play Killer that I have to wait for a game.

The problem is Killers are entitled. They want 4ks all the time, they don't want survivors to have anything and call for nerfs instantly to any new survivor perks ignoring the fact those perks already suck "Lucky Break anyone", they totally ignore all the nerfs that survivors have gotten and say woe-is-me at any nerf they get, then they threaten the developers with quitting the game if they don't get what they want, they threaten survivors with "toxic" game play if they don't get what they want (killers are face-camping because of this or that).

  • @ThatOneDemoPlayer said:

Can we buff camping and tunneling as well?

I think I've heard that the developers are talking about nerfing camping. It seems like camping has kind of exploded.

  • @Hex_Ignored said:

You made the exact same post two days ago and, as far as I remember, it wasn't received all that well, because this idea is, to put it nicely, quite bad. I won't elaborate further because everything I could say has already been said in this other post you made.

The forums are pretty much all killer players, so of course there is going to be killer bias. This post isn't intended for them. This post definitely is for the developers of the game, who are a lot less bias and want to make the game fun for both sides. The developers know that the "hold w" meta is not fun for the survivor base and I'm sure they're trying to come up with ideas to change this.

Making the maps smaller and adding more jungle gyms isn't going to fix the "hold w" meta against killers such as the Artist, Nemesis, Pyramid Head, The Doctor, Deathslinger and Nurse. What will happen is survivors will just run around the outside of the map or killer kill rates will skyrocket and nerfs will ensue.

We've already seen the Developers start to add anti-aura perks, because there wasn't any before, it an untapped font for perk ideas. I'm sure we'll see some more anti-aura perks. Counter anti-loop perks are bound to follow.

Have you thought any of this through from anything but a Survivor point of view? Do you even play Killer? I don't believe so, because if you had done either of those things you would have never put forth this idea. You want perks to counter a counter, which happens to be the only thing that makes Killers unique and would in fact completely cripple some Killers like Nurse, Hag and Deathslinger?

This is the kind of crap that makes Killer mains think the Survivor playerbase is just entitled. Zero comprehension of how the other side actually works.

I play both sides. However, I do think that there is definitely a untapped market for survivor perks that counter anti-looping powers. There's only so many "healing" perks the developers can make before survivors stop buying new survivors, they need to start making original "useful" perk ideas. Here is a totally need area to explore with survivor perk development. Don't you agree?

  • @k0reant3a said:

I play both sides , recently since noon perks came in they impacted the game enormously I like the idea but for killer they should be aloud to either break the totem or have a perk that counters boons. I was wondering for the new perk that’s coming called Hex pentimento would be even be a good contender to counter boons?

I'd totally be up for a Killer perk that increases the time it takes to bless a totem.

  • @Dilif69 said:

    you have dh and lithe

Those really don't work against anti-loopers. If a killer misses one attack, they have an infinite number of additional attacks they can use. Against killers that can't hit through walls, pallets and windows, those work great.

  • @FrndlyChnswSalzmn said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2647310#Comment_2647310

None of this is meaningful interaction, it's just yet another way for Survivors to control when and how Killers can use their powers. No; get better.

To be honest, from a developer stand point, this is a massive void where meaningful perks of this type could be added to the game. There are no survivor anti-loop perk counters in the game. Its a perfect place to add meaningful perks into the game for survivors, to counter something that doesn't have counters yet.

  • @asirirsprime said:

Does BHVR realize they lose money? I mean, what's the point of buying Pig, Cenobite, Ghostface, Shape, Freddy, Legion if they are only playable with addons (if playable at all). So far, as a new player I see 0 reason to waste money on these gimps.

Freddy, Ghostface and Cenobite can definitely be played without add-ons at higher levels of play maybe even Legion. Pig needs add-ons at higher levels of play. But you don't have to play them at high levels of play, you can play them without addons and you'll eventually get matched with survivors more suited to your play.

  • @FrndlyChnswSalzmn said:

As long as DS, BT and Dead Hard exist in their current form I will play nothing but Nurse and tunnel/camp/slug shamelessly. Because they're effective tactics. You want Killers to stop tunneling? Make other strategies viable. Until then, the first time someone DS's me or bodyblocks me with BT, I immediately start making the game unfun for the survivors in that match.

So, as long as you can't effectively tunnel, camp and slug with the only tools the Developers gave survivors, then your going to camp, tunnel and slug. Doesn't that seem kind of redundant to you.

  • @RainehDaze said:

Amongst other things, possibly because going round and round in circles and constantly spinning in first person is kind of unpleasant to experience. It's disorienting (obviously); no fixed frame of reference.

Then there needs to be meaningful skill based interactions outside of looping. When you go against the Nurse, Pyramid Head, Nemesis and The Artist, the best strategy is to hold "w" and run to the furthest corner away from your teammates and pre-throw pallets. It's almost the same for The Doctor and Deathslinger, although you can somewhat loop them.

Survivors only have 1 thing they can do, that's loop. Unless another mechanic is added, then for survivor gameplay to be interactive, then killers have to conform to looping.

I would say add perks that temporarily prevent powers from passing through walls. Maybe a perk that prevents powers from passing through walls and pallets in 32 meters for 30 seconds, when you vault a window. Or a perk that has tokens and when you activate a token, powers can't pass through walls and pallets.

Then survivors have meaningful interactions with those type of killers.

I regret to inform you that I have been shamed and humiliated, and probably won't play this anymore.

Palewater Swamp, I was Nemesis. I did everything I could, I tried every trick to help myself here but it was all meaningless. At least three of them had Dead Hard and genrushed the absolute oblivion out of me. I was running Lethal Pursuer, BBQC, Spies from the Shadows, and NOED, because I just knew I was going to need serious help.

Not even NOED helped me. I was humiliated beyond belief, even standing in the exit gate was worthless because they all saved their Dead Hards for that precise moment. After the trial I was filled with nothing but shame, should I even be playing this game?

This game is not killer-sided, complain about NOED all you want but these Survivors are nasty. I don't even deserve to be salty, literally everything that happened was of my own incapability. I feel like I don't even deserve to play this game anymore after the stunt I just pulled.

Your MMR is extremely high. Play a bit and it will go lower. I was playing Twins yesterday (haven't played her in a while) and I guess my MMR was crazy high with them because the survivors were decimating me for 3 games. However, if I play Pinhead, I usually just mess around with the survivors because they obviously just started learning the game. I assume it's because Pinhead didn't have any pre-data on him.

  • Killer powers where the best play for survivors is to hold "w". Killers like Nemesis, Pyramid Head and The Artist. Also killers like The Doctor and Deathslinger, where the best play is to pre-throw a pallet and run to the furthest corner of the map. Then you have Nurse that totally ignores everything a survivor can do.

Survivors only have looping. Maybe adding another element to the game that allows survivors to have skillful interactions with these type of killers. Or add a perk that temporarily blocks abilities from going through walls. Say you jump through a window and it blocks special abilities from going through walls within a 32 meter radius.

That's what many survivors want, just simple M1 killers where they don't have to use their brains and just do the same loop over and over again without anything other.

There's a reason so many survivor mains cry about killers and want them nerfed.

This isn't about a nerf to killers, it's about the survivors actually have some type of interaction with killers besides holding "w" and running to the furthest corner of the map. You have killers such as Nemesis, Pyramid Head and The Artist where the best option is to literally hold "w" and run to the furthest corner of the map. There's no fun in that for survivors. Then you have Killers like The Doctor and Deathslinger, where the only interaction is pre-throwing a pallet and holding "w".

This has nothing to do with killers, it has everything to do with survivors not having any tools to interact with certain killers.

It depends on how hard I'm going.

In most games, I get 2-3 kills, sometimes 0-1 if I get a strong SWF or 3-4 if I play hardball/am doing specific challenges/adepts.

My policy is always to start off playing hard, and once I control the game then I can ease up a bit. People tend to gloat when you go easy from the start and they thrash you, but will often thank you for easing up. I don't enjoy being disrespected.

I am sometimes conscious of 'managing' my MMR - if I go too hard for several matches in a row, I'll start running into players that I have to play hard against, which I don't always enjoy. I prefer to relax a bit and focus on giving survivors a fun, close game.

On occasions where I run into a BM or sweaty team though, yeah - that gets my competitive juices pumping and this attitude will sometimes carry over into my next few games.

I don't camp or proxy-tunnel and I'm guessing that I'm getting a 2k average. Honestly, most games I could get 4k but I usually let 1 or 2 go just so I don't have to deal with higher level survivors.

LOL, I love the Parkero. I really honestly didn't see that until I looked at it a second time. Actually pretty nice Photoshop.

  • I don't think you can even call that camping.

Camping is when someone is on the hook and no one is around and you stay there.

What... I did nothing of the sorts. If anything I have stated that avoiding camping and tunneling by any means makes me miserable not the other way around. On top of gimping yourself the treatment you receive is the same and are far more likely to consistently lose.

It is why after a game or two, sometimes even within the match itself, I give up on the let's consider the enjoyment of others, the play nice method that is stated to be desirable and simply start using the full toolbox available to me.

Usually if I simply play the game as optimally as I possibly can and that includes considering a tunnel, slug, camp, etc. The game is actually enjoyable. If you play at a decent skill, these are simply part of the game design.

Well, if you like it so much, then quit complaining.

I enjoy how there has to be an exception to some survivor perks.

Nerf face-camping and Borrow Time can be removed

Nerf proxy-tunneling and Tunneling and Decisive Strike can be removed

Nerf slugging and Unbreakable can be removed

Nerf Killer movement speed and ability to anti-loop and Dead Hard can be removed.

It seems as if survivors meta is entirely caused by Developers putting bandaids on Killer strategies that have no counters.

Right, because losing all the time is all that fun, dealing with BM on top of that is all that fun and all that jazz. That isn't going to burn out people playing the game.

Let's not try and tell other people what they should find fun or what will burn them out.

So you know you are sucking the fun out of the game for yourself and keep doing it.

I'm not telling you anything, you're telling everyone that you are miserable. You literally made a 4 page post on how miserable you are. You have my sympathy for being so destructive to your own happiness.

So behaviour actually did something similar to what you proposed back in 2016 I think, this was back before the swivel hook and killers would block the unhook interaction. Survivors started looping the killer near the hooked survivors, essentially abusing the mechanic. Most ideas regarding tunnelling and camping have been tested at one point or another and either the killers or survivors abuse it.

This method sort of worked actually.

Stopping hook progress can work effectively to prevent camping if it only pauses hook progress while the killer is in close proximity and not in a chase. If they added the "not in a chase", while also within so many meters of the hooked survivor, hook progress is paused.

I think adding sprint burst, no blood and no scratch marks to unhooked survivors would help a lot to prevent proxy-tunneling.

Boon totems are making killer games absolutely miserable when they’re abused. Circle of healing is absolutely broken, the fact that I can hit someone while carrying a survivor and they be healed up ready to unhook said survivor in a instant. I really hope they go down the road of making boons a limited use like Hex’s, having 3-4 survivors be able to activate a boon totem each and having to snuff out 4 of them wastes so much time and they can just bless it again when they please.

The totems aren't that good. It takes 3 team heals and 5 self heals before they become time efficient. When they came out, I only saw them played 1 out of every 2 matches. Now I'm seeing them played about 1 out of every 3 to 4 matches. There's no need to nerf perks that survivors don't really care about anyway.

First of all, nobody is banned on reports alone, evidence is always required. If you were not actively taking part in the cheating in the game - you have nothing to worry about. Video evidence is required in cases like this and that would show the actual situation. Our team of ACM's knows exactly what to look out for, and are used to dealing with things like this.

Our Easy Anti Cheat is also constantly being updated to remove cheats like this and people are banned (contrary to popular belief), it's unfortunately a never ending circle however, because people constantly update their cheats and bypass the system, then the EAC is updated again for that, and then over and over.

I had the exact same thing happen to me and my friend. We were playing in a game with a hacker, speed healing us. I let the entity kill me but then the hacker "hooked" himself and just stayed in game, preventing EGC somehow. I quit watching after a while.

This really needs to be addressed, because I don't see how you can tell the difference between cheaters and regular players at this point. And I'm sure there will be even worse hacks that affect the everyone. I've heard there's a hack that allows 1 survivor to insta-kill other survivors.

Your chances of not getting detected are much higher if you don't start to run instantly when the match starts.

It wasn't me that go caught, it was a rando. My point is, that if every survivor, that isn't being camped, does everything correctly. It definitely doesn't mean there will be a 3 man escape to face-camping. Killers aren't punished for face-camping, in fact they are rewarded. (If you consider getting higher MMR rewarded).

We had a red level 1 Leatherface on the boards a few months ago telling everyone how to successfully get 3k and 4ks every match in high MMR will camping.

Saying that camping Killers get punished is a fallacy. They don't. (Besides boredom I guess).

I have no issues with camping and tunneling though, as I understand how they are actually integrated into the games design. If you mean I get a higher MMR because I use the tools that are available to me in the game... then I guess you are wrong, but doesn't that simply mean you understand the game better and don't rely on outclassing your opponents to win.

No, I mean you are sucking the fun out of the game for yourself.

I stated already that doing these tactics of camping mindlessly can be punished. You can lose when you camp and you can lose if you don't. Yet the games design is created in a way where it most definitely is part of it. Safe unhooks, free resets and all the like is not something you can afford to do in an equally matched game.

Who stated that I do it every single match? Who ever stated that one has to do it at the start of each match?

Gens fly when I go out of my way to not tunnel, camp, etc. you want to call me an amateur and not a professional... guess what I am. I don't have 6k hours, I am someone that plays this game as a hobby. People claim this is a casual game, which means that amateurs are supposed to be able to enjoy it and you don't need to be a pro. The hypocrisy is also clear here, because pro-survivors are able to deal and punish camping hardcore.

Go look at the competitive scene if you want proof of how professionals play... equally skilled players at the highest level. Outclassing your opponents is not a requirement that should be there in order to play a role.

For the record, without reason... means you don't actually understand why people do it with all your knowledge. They are trying to have a fun game, a game where they feel they have a chance of winning and not just be crushed.

Dude, you are having to camp and tunnel because you camp and tunnel. It's like you are slapping yourself in the face with a stick because you don't want to slap yourself in the face with a stick.
