It's only controversial to people that take issue. Do you think if they expanded the lore of another male character and mention a previously unmentioned girlfriend that we would even hear a peep from people who have issue with this. Even if BHVR posted a Tweet about how they are expanding the story of "so and so" and going to be exploring the relationship with his girlfriend. I can tell you now we wouldn't see any pushback.
We actually have seen this with Legions tome. While in the backstory it was at least implied Julie had a crush on Frank, the tome changed this into Frank and Julie being a hot thing! Literally no one had a problem with this retconn that revealed part of the sexual orientation of a character that wasn’t implied in the initial lore. Especially not KateMain86.

It’s not easier. Actually I would argue it’s harder as they have to make sure to not make contradicting lore and it still needing to feel connected etc.
also, it’s already been confirmed there will be new, original LGBTQ+ characters introduced in the future.

I actually do hope future lgbt characters in dbd are introduced the same way a non lgbt character would be. When they release the first new original survivor that is lgbt I don't think many people are going to make a big deal about it if their sexuality isn't announced separately. Also as I said in other games I have played, lgbt characters were introduced the same way other characters were so they weren't treated differently. I'd mention them but they involve story spoilers incase someone may not have played them yet.
I bet the creators of those games haven’t said they won’t add LGBTQ+ content before though, have they?

I've seen lgbt characters before in other games that are story driven that were simply there and a part of the story like every other character in it. For David's case it felt like he was set apart due to his sexuality in my opinion. I have never seen the sexuality of a character announced and celebrated the same way David's was. That is why, to me, it felt as such.
He was set apart. Because they have been explicitly excluding anything LGBTQ+ related. His inclusion ended this (before they have only talked about it to the point it almost felt like queerbaiting and added charms which were nice but definitely not enough as far as actual inclusion goes)
have you also talked about how heterosexual relationships were treated differently all those years before? You seem very active now and seem to care about equal treatment. I really hope that’s not only the case for one direction?

A still image of wraith and nurse in a dance pose on valentines day (which showed purchasable cosmetics for them) is not the same as giving special attention to a character solely on the basis of their sexuality. There was no celebration or official announcement of their sexuality. To compare those 2 things as if they were the same is a bit of a stretch. Valentines day in the secular sense is a day to celebrate love. The wraith and nurse picture can be interpreted as symbolic of love and doesn't limit it to be exclusively symbolic of only heterosexual relationships. Announcing David's sexuality the way they did set him apart from everyone else and made it an exclusive thing about him to celebrate. Unless every character going forward is going to have their sexuality announced in the same way, there is no equality there. Diversity, equality and inclusion does not celebrate or emphasize one thing over another. If you feel they did this in the past with other characters in the context of heterosexuality, then other sexualities should be treated in like manner. Announcing and celebrating David's sexuality was not done in like manner like in the wraith and nurse picture that you think was an announcement of a heterosexual relationship.
You will always find something about inclusion and representation of LGBTQ+ that’s different than heterosexual relationships. Just being LGBTQ+ is being different, and it’s being differently viewed and commented on by society in any case. You don’t come out as straight, it would not make sense to ‚reveal‘ a character as straight and it’s not expected by anyone reasonably. I think the movie ‚Love, Simon‘ expressed this in a great way (about heterosexual teens coming out as heterosexual to their parents) - it doesn’t make sense to demand this kind of equality.
it’s rather about equal treatment in the sense of finally not being explicitly excluded. This is the greatest and most important aspect of inclusion. And this is also the reason why they emphasized David’s reveal. (That and the fact they are collaborating with GaymerX)
Diversity, equality and inclusion does not celebrate or emphasize one thing over another.
And they didn’t do this with David being gay. It wasn’t about gay over straight. At all.
and I can tell you that people would be raging if they ever revealed a still image of two male characters dancing as a still image on Valentine’s Day without any other lore context.

Great ideas and FOV as base slider is something I expect at this point to eventually come to the game.
but I feel like Shadowborn would be a little bit too oppressive with survivors auras revealed in lockers? Though that might only affect lower MMR and might not be as relevant as i think. Also why wouldn’t it work with BBQ?
as for movement speed increase for M&A, I guess it sound good especially as it isn’t really rewarding the already strong killers but those that don’t have enough map mobility..

I think introducing the Archives is what put most things in motion, as they are a more in depth look at the characters' lore.
Also this doesn't deny the possibility that some characters were originally written with a specific sexual orientation by their creators, it was just never specified before (besides some cases like Wraith and Nurse for example).
Yeah I always thought with the archives and tome story’s it would really feel weird if they still tried to leave out anything about romantical relationships, sexual orientation or sexual identity etc. At some point - even if not confronted about it two years ago- BHVR would have reviewed this standpoint naturally anyways.
I am still very happy about this statement though 🌈

as far as i know, it wasn’t scrapped but it was just not officially revealed who it was as they still said at that time that they wanted to leave anything related to sexual orientations open. (Though as we all know they still had multiple heterosexual relationships at that point…. But those people that now say the way they are handling it isn’t ‚equality‘ didn’t say anything back then…)
so… actually it could have been David all along. We will probably never know. In the end, only what’s stated directly in game/lore is what is official. David is gay, it was never stated otherwise and it doesn’t contradict anything in lore at all. People should accept it and move on instead of finding excuses to be against it.

Yeah, I understand it's because they sell more than other survivors, but cmon..literally half of Adam sets in the store are recolors of the basic version..
I do at least like the overall quality and appearance of Adams skins and even though the most recent rift skin is a recolor the shirt seems distinct enough for me.
but yeah. I am really tired of Feng/Kate/Meg/Dwight cosmetics. (Funnily enough i still don’t have a Meg outfit I really like to use…)

Keyboard is better. Buttons not registering on point is something also happening on controller, and I would argue it’s worse there.
killer have a big disadvantage on controllers. aiming, flicking and even just controlling your redlight for mind games is way more precise on keyboard/mouse.
survivor it’s not that great of a difference, but i would still argue looping and turning is possibly faster on keyboard/mouse as you will be able to run around assets and change directions faster and M&K.
it would be great if advanced controller settings such as deadzones, response curve and different sensitivities for aiming would be a thing in DbD.

I'm saying that because I chose Group A solely for that Dredge skin, that's the only one that caught my eye, but if I had to choose between a Kate skin and an Adam one I would have chosen Adam. How many more outfits does Kate need?

There were always implications that David had a problematic relationship with his parents without the reason being explicitly stated and other stuff in the lore that can be explained with him being gay.

if people want to complain about ret-cons, then they should complain about Legions tome or i think Nurse tome, which actually ret-conned lore. But these people actually only have a problem with ret-conns when it’s about LGBTQ+ topics. I am not wondering why..

i mean, I made that Blender Donut Tutorial, I am pretty much a pro now in 3D-modeling after all!

Yeah the Dredge one is definitely the best but i think Yun-Jin’s also needs to be highlighted so I voted for that.
Adams is a little bit lacking sadly.

Many players just don’t want to farm even when they understand your intention. (The best ones still write ez in endgame chat and act like they best you lol)
you can’t force others to farm with you as that is against game rules and even reportable.
i think the best way to indicate you want to farm is to find a surv near a gen or pallet and repeatedly hit the gen/pallet while they see you. If they understand they will stun you/work with you on the gen. If not chances are they never will understand or don’t want to and best let them be and find another one..

Not true, it used to be 2 weeks I think and it has been 4 weeks occasionally.
they say they don’t announce it sooner because they only want to announce it when they know they will make it and nothing gets in the way causing a delay. (Though I also think they should know a little bit further in advance as they need the platform approvals etc…)

Try to go back to the start page of Amazon Prime and click again of Redeem code or whatever stands there. People had problems in the past where they got the same code from the previous month because it didn’t load the new one but refreshing like that helped.
also make sure to copy the whole code, I think the last few letters/digits of the code may seem cut-off and you have to scroll in the field to get the whole code.

If you are not used to literally any other version of the game I guess the Switch version might be okay. But.. eh. Not worth it tbh if you have the means get another version..

I don’t think the idea was for anyone to max out all categories in one match but to reward those that are doing great in one category as it now could feel frustrating to be maxed out in one category but being forced to still do actions there..

As far as I know you can’t actively control which server you are being connected to. At least not via Steam configuration or anything.
using a VPN could change your Region, and maybe those killers are doing this to get an unfair advantage?
you can check your connection in the pre lobby though! You can see on the bottom right your ping with a color indication how good it is. If you think you get sometimes connected to another server, you should see a significant worse ping there and can just dodge the lobby!

Nope, we don’t know, BHVR usually announces the date officially on the same day it actually happens.
though they have posted tweets about new content (Attack on Titans charms) last week and I think they usually do stuff like that a week before this would release… buts that’s just speculation..

It’s definitely not bannable. You can even use family share on Steam to not having to buy the game multiple times. (Though if one account would get banned for hacking or something else, the others would be affected as well!)

Is there pet safe paint I could use on the finished product
there definitely is, though I am unsure how it’s called in English.. look out for wooden finisher/tarnish that’s suitable for toys/toddlers! Have used that for parts of my chinchilla cage

you have to report them on the platform where the harassment actually takes place.
so in DbD if they harass you in end game chat for example you can report them directly kn the end game screen and don’t need to create another additional player report ticket to support.
harassment on Steam, Twitch or other platforms, BHVR can’t do anything

Yeah, mods can edit (and moderate) comments. If any rules are broken, the user gets a warning/ban/jail time for it.
also i am pretty sure if you reported a comment the mods will see the original comment in the state you reported it in even if it got edited later.

It’s still Claudette imo.
Female survivors are better for hiding in general, as their models are smaller. And Claudette has some dark cosmetics and her hair can blend in in many environments. Even on brighter maps there are usually bushes or corners that are darker etc.

Nea, Doctor and Deathslinger also got outfits in the same collection and have butterflys/moths with them. For Nea it’s very similar to Jeff’s.

Billy needed some kind of nerf and while they overdid it he is still in his current state a strong and viable killer - just has a higher skill floor and isn’t as effective as S-tier killers

Perks in bloodweb just update automatically, without changing content of the bloodweb otherwise. I checked it while playing around with Prestiging mechanic on PTB - my Onryo had her clean level 50 bloodweb with Lightborn being one of the perks there. So I went and upped my Wraith from P2-50 to P3, unlocking all his perks at Tier 3, and that Lightborn from Onryo's bloodweb just changed to Thrill of the Hunt, not changing that bloodweb in any other way.
Ah that’s good to know, especially as it apparently changes on the fly when unlocking the perks in another way!

If you are P0 level 50 with 170 perks - you will be P3 level 50. If you are P3 level 35 - you will be P9 level 35. And so on.
The only thing is that now you won't be able to Prestige at level 50 without touching any items on it (like you can do now). You'll have to fully clear out your level 50 first and then you'll get to forced prestiging option, which will cost 20k.
At least that's the way it was on PTB, but I don't think they would change any of it at live.
do you also happen to know what happened with perk-nodes in these bloodwebs that were already given to the character via the new system?
