Which platform, do you have cross play enabled, which area are you from and which server is nearest to you, at what times of the day do you not find any matches, both sides or only surv or killer, how long do you have to wait for a match?
we need some info to try to help ;)

Assuming strikes again. You don’t know how it was caused and you don’t know if they changed something related to skins in the backend. Maybe they are working on a way to make the accounts and their earned cosmetics more robust

This is an online video game with a HORROR theme. That includes some of the most iconic HORROR characters.
it’s really not that far fetched that there are people that want more horror themes here. No one asked for an automatic win/loss for one side.

I am all for gameplay going from looping to hiding/ actually escaping a chase.
and it should be high priority for survivors to get healed/not get injured in the first place. Taking a Protection hit should have value for example. Being/getting injured should be painful and therefore avoided. I have no idea how you could implement that though..

you don’t have to miss or like Old Freddy, but if others liked it who are you to judge? Most people that liked the power even say it needed QoL changes etc, but the power as completely deleted from the game..

theoretically this is how it should at the moment:
you get matched with people of your rank +/- 8 ranks. If SWF then it should take the rank of the highest ranked player of the group. If you are waiting for a long time, you get tossed into the „no matter what“-matchmaking.
BUT this does all not work. Ranked based matchmaking is not working, this is know by the devs. Plus ranking/pipping is also not working and is more a matter of how often you play and not how skillful you play.
the current system of matchmaking will be replaced by MMR - devs are working on it, there were live tests (that failed).

I hope they are actually trying to get this power on a new (probably original) killer but balanced and with enough worktime put into.
I liked playing against Old Freddy, unfortunately I didn’t play killer at that time and didn’t even have Freddy so can’t say I miss using his power (I would have done poorly with him though). I still understand why they removed the power and it really does need some kind of rework, just not a complete replacement.

Because you asked what I mean:
you said you preferred the way that BHVR does not confirm any LGBT chars because it’s a horror game and they are going the „make your own headcanons“ route.
(this is wrong as you can see by the tweet that I linked in a post on thin thread btw.)
but what do you think about the lore of Legion for example: read the tome and tell me that the sexuality of Frank and Julie is up to headcanon. Felix has a pregnant wife. David had a girlfriend. Nurse was married to a man (and got insane after his death). All those characters have at least confirmed heterosexual relationships.

You can’t at the moment. BHVR is working on a fix for this issue.
there has also been issues with friends on same platform which got fixed pretty fast..

I don’t think the game really made it anymore complex or anything.
the issue is the license holder vs the creator and some (US American?) laws that gave the creator some right after so-and-so years.

I got Docs because it was pretty spot on and Meg, but I think it's the hags that confused me most? It felt very modern if I'm thinking of the right one. I haven't actually unlocked them I watch them all on YouTube because I can never complete the tomes because a new one comes out and my brain goes ooo new challenges!
You need to read the lore to understand the cutscene for Hag.
basically her Grandma has access to Voodoo magic, Litte schoolgirl Hag and her best friend don’t really believe in it but still try to use symbols to get lucky or something. Best friend dies and Hag realizes Voodoo is real and can be dangerous. Kinda? Don’t remember everything.

The game is in the healthiest state it ever was though?
not saying there are no bugs or something, because there definitely are a ton. But balance wise it was never better I think.
if you don’t like survivor gameplay you’d not have to play it, but it is more than just holding M1.
Billy is not nerfed to the ground and he was a very strong killer to begin with.
Ruin nerf was needed, and it is still viable this way.
you can play around DS in many ways already.

Honestly, I don't even pay attention to the stories from the tome I don't really understand the cut scenes at all and I've rewatched them so many times and I haven't seen anything to do with sexuality. I didn't say I'm okay with exclusion, I'm just not bothered with a characters sexuality in a game like dead by daylight where the story kinda comes last? Life is strange, dbh, the games that follow an actual storyline I get wanting representation in those because I was genuinely happy when dbh had a robot lesbian couple because it was sweet and fit with the story. Like maybe if the character had it in their lore that they had a horrible homophobic family and it turned them into a killer or a survivor who ran away from it, that would be interesting as lore, but like I said to me the story comes last in this game so LGBT or not, I don't mind I just like certain characters.

just interpreted it as you don’t want them to include LGBT+. If you really don’t care then that fine of course. It’s just the case that many that say they don’t care actually don’t want lore inclusion but are okay with heterosexual relationships mentioned in the lore.

yeah, the devs made their point very clear on their tweet and also in responses to the people against inclusion.

there is still killer-sided hit detection activated as far as I know.
there were some live tests for server sided hit detection which should at least be more fair in lag situation, but they are still trying to fix issues with short range hits (Huntress and Plague were def affected).

Yeah, slugging all 4 at once and letting them bleed out would be something different and kinda toxic. Still understandable in some ways during such a match though.

but maybe it will just be like Adam now, getting some charms/cosmetics but no new lore entries. We will see.

you kinda just played the game strategically in that situation though.
they all had flashlights, so it’s fine to assume they are gonna try to try flashlight save. So then you slug. Nothing wrong with that.
it would be different if you were treating the next bunch of survivors in the next match this way, but reacting to their playstyle is totally fine.

As an LGBT person, I agree. Like I said in a previous comment here I used to be that LGBT person screaming for all things to have LGBT people in it, now I'm like eh. This is a game that I use to get away from life's bull that it likes to throw. Like gaming is my escape from stress and I don't care about a pixelated character liking someone or not.
The thing is.. no one should ask for this. It’s either all sexualities should be included or all should be excluded.
and since heterosexuality was included for a long time even though it was stated they never wanted to include any mentioning of sexuality it should be natural to also include LGBT.
Escapism from real life but being okay with exclusion? You can even just ignore the lore in this game completely and it wouldn’t change your gaming experience, would it?

Camping is just a lose-lose situation for survivors. Either you gotta gen rush, get out and lose the camped survivors or you try being altruistic and feed the killer.
i don’t even see it as a win when I escape vs a camper, it was just lost time in that case..

Just FYI: never force someone to farm with you, that’s a bannable offense.
on topic: I don’t mind farming games since they are so rare nowadays that they are a welcome distraction. And there are days where I really just want my daily - escape as Laurie or open an exit gate - that just won’t happen and then a farming game might come as a blessing

I agree, that whole ‚high skill-floor, high skill-ceiling‘ is not healthy for this game, but I don’t see enough good Nurses (or bad ones) to really have a reason to complain..
also i am achievement hunting and have everything but the 3 nurse achievements (and 1000 sacrifices, but that will come automatically soon).
learning nurse (especially on controller) is just too frustrating, and if the outcome will be that I will get guaranteed 3-4K some day, I wouldn’t even ply as her anymore - where is the fun in that?

Not having anything against this concept at all, but we all know this will lead to more bugs related to those perks, those are too many changes that would happen too frequently

I don't mind if some are part of the LGBTQ+ community (I'm also a part of this community) but to keep the game from getting criticism based on certain survivors sexual preference. They've decided to just keep sexuality out of the game so problems don't arise.
They have revised their statement on this though, they said since some chars have already been confirmed to have had heterosexual relationships, LGBT+ topics won’t be explicitly excluded anymore.
they announced this with a small tweet during pride month this year, because they got questions about this topic.

why exactly does it matter to you if there will be chars confirmed as LGBT+? It shouldn’t affect you at all, it’s just another mentioning in the lore you can easily ignore, just like you are ignoring that Kate is a musician or Feng was a pro gamer or Nurse was married to a man.
Head canons won’t be affected either, it’s common that head canons ignore some official lore tidbits, that’s okay.

You will never reach every survivor so they actually know your condition and even then there are always some scumbags that would still click like that.
you have it under control if it’s mainly the gate flashlight clickers; avoid going to gates if you know there is a flashlight user, or prepare yourself (don’t look to the screen, moonwalk there to chase them out, don’t go there at all and search for pallets to destroy on map etc)

Yes, had some time where I needed to wait for someone but wasn’t enough to start a game. Got lucky with someone who always updated the code as soon as the community said it was used

For usefulness it would be Medkits but firecrackers (and flashlights) at least add something different to the game.
Medkits are just faster heals and selfcare, toolboxes are just Sabotage perk and faster repair (+ they are a joke). Maps and keys are.. ok but boring..

I don’t think the poll will really affect what they are gonna do next, they probably have Ormond and Autohaven in the works.. to start now would be a little too late for the next chapter

I actually didnt expect them to go for Autohaven (5 maps in total) in a main chapter, but in a mid chapter instead.

They said it comes very soon, but never stated any date.
they probably wanna fix every bug they find with the Stadia crowd (which should be fewer people since it just launched on Stadia as well)

Which they have stated would come for all versions Switch & All. And yes I watched 3rd anniversary stream of its entirity when they announced this.
And they Did only PC first. Which if you haven't already seen their thread about that it's on the website. They did Steam and the Windows store to test out if this process was doable. Which it was. Cause in pretty sure It has yet to be removed.
So it was confirmed for all platforms. Using a: "Behaviour Account" but an ETA for other platforms is unknown.
They confirmed it for Steam, Stadia and Switch but they explicitly said they cant say if they can get it for the other platforms.

Are you sure they thought you were cheating because of the rank?
maybe there was some serious latency issues that may have led the killer player to believe this..
also take a break if you need it, but be assured that not all players are toxic just because there are a few vocal ones. There are plenty of friendly players out there, that (for me) make up for it!

Yeah matchmaking is broken and the devs are working on a system to replace this rank based matchmaking entirely (MMR), because rank is not a good indicator for skill.
Thats also why you can’t change the killer once you readied up, in the new system you will get a hidden MMR score for each individual killer.

I would say chase them.
you have to chase every surv at least once in a good match so it’s either now and get rid of the noise or later.
if they are outplaying you, they would do that later in the match anyway. And you might learn to deal with their maneuvers.
if it really is too much then go afk for a while and make a tea, come back and hit the survs that are now probably in front of you teabagging. Or try play without sound, make it a meme game and try to have fun otherwise..

Maybe that could be the reason why the Entity makes a deal with Pennywise in the first place: It is more powerful in its own realm and can observe Pennywise this way and make sure they are friends since otherwise Pennywise would be a potential enemy when the Entity steals the prey of IT

(Stephen King Lore-wise. Pennywise is ridiculously powerful, the movies,to be honest severely underpower him
If they wanted to they could say the Entity and Pennywise made a deal, Pennywise wouldn’t be trapped but can enter and play and feast a little bit on the survs. This would grant him some different abilities to the usual mechanics, maybe something like PHs cages but with balloons.
