  • If behavior is trying to force me to play a killer other then trapper someone at behavior is not doing a very good job of doing so.

(In case for those who can't tell this is clearly sarcasm no hate towards anyone at behavior)

The game should have a replay mode to watch if someone is hacking or not

also just for fun to watch the game from the perspective from other player

saving cool videos without had to manually being recording every game waiting for a cool thing

And well, while reporting someone self-send the video proof from the replay

i think that will be a nice implementation

While its a good idea the biggest issue is designing something like that games like League of Legends had that planned from the start meanwhile bhvr never really thought this game would go anywhere until to its shock the game took off.

I'm just curious as to what you guys consider tunneling is. I play both killer and survivor at red ranks and in 30% of my killer games I always get at least one survivor who complains about "tunneling" "camping" "baby killer" you know how it goes. As killer I usually don't tunnel or camp unless it is clearly the only viable option to not completely lose(ie in the endgame collapse). I'm curious to see what you guys think about tunneling and camping and specifically, what about during the endgame. I think killers really have few options when the gates are 99...I recently had a nurse game where 3 survivors were healthy and one had just been unhooked near the gate while the gates were opened. The obvious choice is to go for the weakest link to secure 1 kill since hitting a healthy survivor near the gates pretty much guarantees their escape. Well I did that and managed to kill the injured survivor and everyone was complaining in chat calling me "tunneler" "bad" etc...In my opinion I would define tunneling as chasing down one specific survivor to completely ignore other objectives such as map pressure and the chase itself being disadvantageous to the killer in the end. I'm curious to see what you guys think about tunneling and camping and specifically, what about during endgame?

PS Again, I play red rank killer and survivor so I know both sides of the coin :)

Both are very situational but lets say you are going against a pretty decent team all are good at looping lets say a meg gets unhooked you only see meg not the unhooker its better to tunnel her in that situation whether it be slug them or just rehook them.

As for camping there's also a valid situation although rare it happens if i see 3 survivors and know all their locations and they are trying to hook bomb i wont leave as i have eyes on 3 people and what their doing its a rare situation but it happens to some degree at red ranks.

  • I dont think it would be possible to get Ryuk as a killer however it could be possible to get kira as a survivor that is a very possible outcome i would actually kinda like to see something like this happen where behavior reaches out to an anime company and maybe pulls a popular character into the game would be interesting.

  • This is usually normal around this time they want their anniversary stream to be enjoyable so they usually hold back until the stream.

Entity’s Playtime- After Hooking each survivor once will please the Entity and activate the perk. All survivors auras will be revealed for 5/7/10 seconds and all gens will remain blocked and unrepairable for 60 seconds. Hitting any survivor between this time period will award 100% bonus Bloodpoints in the Brutality Category.

    “Time to spice things up”

I thought this perk can help with survivors who hide throughout the game and only focus on gens. It would be a new perk that killers would be able to get by default. It would also help new and old players by helping them out in chase and not having to worry about gens for a little while and spice things up for survivors. Feel free to leave some feedback. :)

So bbq and deadmans switch after it took a steroid injection also the all gens part seems a little to strong.

  • I honestly just think for the health of the game usernames should only be shown once the game ends they could replace the usernames with the character names in the pre game lobby and end game have the actual usernames listed behavior talks a lot about wanting good game health and i think this would improve a lot of toxicity.

  • Why would they give you free cells when the free pass is free what?

Any other settings i can put in?

    Not that im aware of.

  • It's not that it matters but people already borderline claim you cant see the traps as is while i agree trapper needs a buff its not addon wise its base kit wise he needs to carry 2-3 traps by default.

  • @brokedownpalace said:

Rather than simply darkening traps, the color should change based on the surface they are placed. That way the add ons act as camouflage. Sometimes if you get the wrong map these add ons work against you as Trapper. That doesn't make sense to me.

The effect would be weaker for logwood dye and stronger for tar bottle.

If people complain about not being able to see the traps now can you imagine how much crying there would be for this. This is coming from a trapper main i get so many complaints over them.

  • [/Script/Engine.GarbageCollectionSettings]

look for engine.ini and paste the command in make sure your game is closed.

  • Welp i got a pretty funny result since i main this killer

    Untitled.png

  • Why does it matter if there are more survivor players on the forums its an open forum thats one reason they did away with killer and survivor section it was creating a rift between the community as for the people who quit they likely just didnt find the game fun anymore it happens as for getting people back into the game some people made their mind up when they quit and refuse to change it there is still a lot of killer players active in the game also i main killer.

How would EAC detect someone not using a native res? Give an explanation please, all you need to do is make a custom res,and boot the game up with it. And besides, steetched gives advantage but it defo isn't cheating.

I wouldn't bother clearly guy does not understand there's no system in the world that could detect it.

PC exclusives worked differently to mobile exclusives. PC exclusives were through steam codes and so people made lots of money through third party selling, and many got scammed. To counter this, all code exclusives were added for free.

All non-code exclsuvies (ie. Huntress' Hound Mask) are still exclusive. Like in mobile, these are not code-exclusives and so can remain exclusive.

Also, since mobile and pc/console are different games, these are mobile exclusive like PC has PC exclusives (Hound mask, Free Songbird, all ex-code-exclsuives).

Im aware of how it worked but do you also remember when they said no one should be excluded yet here we go again mobile gets exclusives almost every patch mean while looking at pc and console where is the same energy also the exclusives that pc has were through events meanwhile mobile is not even doing events almost every patch is a free exclusive can't really justify that either they're all okay or none of its okay.

  • @ProfoundEnding said:

I'm alright with this IF console and PC got exclusives too. I don't wanna here "Oh we're done with exclusives" but Mobile still gets them.

Sadly thats how it will be the pc devs like to claim "its two different teams" so therefore it makes it okay for mobile to have exclusives meanwhile they just gutted exclusives on pc lmao.

  • They already announced a new prestige reward as far as legacy goes the whole cosmetic design is retired there wont ever be a legacy even on new characters the best we can hope for is the new rewards being better then legacy.

  • Its very likely they will also talk more about the prestige rewards what better time then the anniversary.

  • As a trapper main i honestly would just like to see him be able to carry up to 2-3 traps at base other then that maybe fix traps spawning in the corner of the map making him have to waste to much time leaving an area where gens are to go get a trap.

  • @MiniPisa said:

After reading way too many responses on here... All I have to ask is does this really happen THAT often??

I'm a survivor main... and of the 2 years of playing this game I have never even considered DC'ing so someone can get the hatch and have never had someone do it for me either.

The killer is now able to close the hatch... isn't that kind of enough? Don't you remember all those times where you'd have to stand there and wait for the survivor to jump in so you could grab them, or the killer making a mistake so you can get through?? Hatch is way more balanced now, and since DC'ing for the hatch is pretty uncommon, I don't see the devs rushing to get it fixed and to be honest.. I don't think it's a big deal either. You were all picking on the one person who said "oh no my 4k" when they 1. have a point, and 2. just had a tiny misunderstanding of what you were actually talking about but hey, thats survivors mains am I right? So entitled to everything.......... Even though most of the people I see on here complaining are Killer mains wanting BS changes.

Your idea isn't bad, but the rarity of survivors who actually do this "exploit" is so uncommon it's really not a priority. If it happens, be happy with your 3k and move onto the next game.

The rarity should not matter an exploit is an exploit regardless of how much it is preformed you think every game people were using the chainsaw with myers back in the day? nope it was rare to but what happened behavior banned a ton of people for it not saying people should be banned for dcing to give hatch but they also patched it so where is the same energy from this the game should be fair and since the devs continue to spit that this game is competitive cool then that means the game should be fair and exploits such as that which by the dev's definition dcing to give hatch fits the exploit definition then i feel in terms of fairness it should be patched my idea won't cripple the normal flow of the game what it will cripple is tactical dc's which by definition in the rules are technically not allowed.

  • Try giving the game a chance again once the new matchmaking system is designed likely sometime this year.

  • This wouldn't work what about killers like trapper and hag who need to set up it takes more then 4 seconds to set bear traps and for hag to trap the area idk not a fan personally.

it can feel exhausting having to correct people over and over again that Freddy's lunge is the same.

I guess you are right, I probably should take a break from the forums for a while.

I feel you i use to be on the forums a lot but i ended up kinda ignoring the forums for a hot minute after i was jailed for what i felt was a very petty reason when it was a very simple joke that the mods and devs took personal but i also took a break because of the constant repeated forums about this and that ya know it gets tiring seeing the same stuff over and over again.

  • @DelsKibara said:

Just a genuine question that came up for me, mainly because I sometimes question how necessary this forum really is. A lot of the changes the devs have made in the past isn't necessarily based on how the community feels, but rather the statistics on how certain perks/Killers are doing, and what those statistics and the context behind it means.

Freddy was the weakest, so he got reworked. Nurse was the strongest, so she got reworked. Spirit saw an uptick of performance, so she got nerfs. DS saw the same uptick in performance, so it also got reworked.

A lot of these changes aren't necessarily based on the suggestions or discussions from the community, at least from what I can tell, the main reason for changing them were not based on community feedback. BHVR changed some of the maps to a storm of people complaining about how this will create a ton of Dead Zones. Same with when they changed Ruin with people complaining that this will make Killer "impossible" in high ranks.

So, what exactly is the point of this Forum? Because lately what I've been seeing is a constant barrage of complaints with no base to support them, a lot of small cliques that effectively becomes an echo chamber within the forums, and a ton of people fighting with each other over what they think is or isn't fair about the game and even dismissing them, or insulting them in the process.

I have met some incredible people from this Forum, don't get me wrong, my current best friend is someone I met through this forum. If it were not for this, I would not have met them in the first place. And there have been wonderful discussions on what the devs could possibly consider taking the direction of their game to. Like reducing the Bloodpoint Grind, or creating giving both sides more QOL improvements that would improve the enjoyment for both sides.

But there are also a lot of people here that I feel like are just here to complain, and if they don't get people agreeing with them, then those people are "Biased", or they are an "Idiot", or they "don't know what they're talking about", or they are just an "Survivor/Killer main". It's like hearing a broken record put on repeat for an eternity.

I'm just generally concerned because it seemed to me, at least in recent days, that the Forums have stopped becoming a place to discuss about the game and more of a shouting match between people's opinions. And that isn't really productive for anyone's time, nor is it healthy for anyone's mental health.

Then again, I may just be rather naive. I am aware of how toxic gaming communities CAN be. But I would rather not see that constantly be brought up as an excuse as to why toxicity or aggressiveness or even cynical dismissiveness exists in a community.

I guess I may be asking a bit too much, sometimes I genuinely wonder if I could actually spark a discussion worth talking about that could possibly create positive change for the game. Rather than having to talk someone down from talking about actual lies as if they are the truth in an attempt to get something else changed inside this game.

Sometimes this forum is more exhausting than the game itself, and that says a lot.

It can seem that way sometimes but for the most part behavior does study the forums there has been some ideas they have got through the forums as some of the devs have admitted there will be complaint post and etc but for the most part it's still about helping the game sometimes you just gotta take a break from the forums i feel everyone does for the sake of sanity.

  • Who knows i am kinda giving them lee way on this one since they are having to work from home i imagine it's not that easy doing this from home.

  • His FOV is zoomed in its currently a bug they fixed his 20 minute long stun this hotfix i imagine the fov is more of a challenge we just have to wait for them to get around to it.

  • @Peanits Could you bring this idea up to the team and see if its possible to test it and see if it could function in dead by daylight again the idea is when a survivor dc's it would start the normal death timer as when someone is dying on hook and give the killer time to either find the survivor or hatch and give the survivor time to hide or find hatch.

  • Hatch is a mechanic based on RNG sometimes you get lucky sometimes you dont sometimes the killer finds it before you but you still have a chance to technically escape through the door again based on the RNG either you get lucky or you don't but to sit here and say you can never escape is false and very bait worthy.

  • @Poweas said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1286224#Comment_1286224

Yeah, I actually agreed with you about adding a death timer for DC's too. That's the only constructive one I've seen.

Thanks again that means a lot again i dont think the problem is hatch i think its the abuse that exists around the mechanic i think if you fix the abuse the complaints will slowly dwindle.

  • I still stand by my post i think the best possible solution to solve a huge issue with hatch is the death timer being applied to hatch when someone dc's i think its a fair and a logical mechanic that would solve a lot of stress around the hatch and it would also nerf tactical dc's into oblivion which would calm many people down that complain about hatch.

  • I have updated the thread to be more clear as to what i am talking about sorry for being vague for those who didn't understand what i was talking about.

To be fair i said easy solution not necessarily a good one lol. That all is very true and a great idea though 👍

I feel you my dude and thank you again i am a huge dbd addict i try to see things from both sides before posting and i have made my mistakes in the past we are all human i just want the game to be fair and fun for both sides and i dont believe a tactical dc is fun or fair and or even healthy for dbd it's the opposite direction the game should be going.

"The best we can do is just let this thread die" Yet you're 30% of the posts on this thread like ######### big brain moves.

Honestly i think they were baiting i am almost 99% sure i feel they got upset because they couldnt provide a valid disagreement other then someone might "troll" but they couldn't explain in what way someone could troll because on live someone can just struggle to prevent hatch but with my idea a dc would bring them into instant death animation timer meaning they would have time to either find hatch or escape idk dude was really not providing enough information to disprove what i was saying.

No problem, glad we could could finally see the same picture.

My point exactly at first i was very confused what you were talking about but as you said you were also confused so our conversation got a little side tracked but its good we finally got both our points across!

  • @SquirrelKnight said:

Easy solution. If 3rd survivor dcs, bloodwarden goes into affect and hatch is locked for 90 seconds

I don't believe thats very health for the game i simply believe in terms of balance the death animation timer is more suited as its the normal amount of time it takes someone to die on hook i believe that gives the killer a decent amount of time to find hatch or get lucky and find the survivor.

  • @Pulvoriser said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1286117#Comment_1286117

I had a lag issue so I missed your last post, basically if they dc that still adds the death animation, I get you now but your earlier posts wasn't actually clear on that, but I understand your idea better now and I dont actually disagree with it much now. I don't know if I was the only one missing what you actually meant to say though.

Its all good my dude my fault for being vague i had so many things popping up from comments but yeah basically the idea is the person dc's but they go into the "death animation" basically putting the death timer on the hatch allowing more fairness on the killer side seeing as on live there's next to nothing the killer can do im glad we had this discussion and im glad you understand what i mean now <3

I do deal with it when killers exploit in ways that don’t totally break the game. Jumping over pallets, stuff like that Legion pallet blind trick, whatever. As long as it’s a normal match that ends in an appropriate time I really don’t care about minor exploits, because I don’t consider this game to be a super serious esport.

Okay so now that i know what you mean lets try this again no game should have exploits esport or not it's not about winning or losing its about game health you can't allow quitting to be promoted which if you read this post many are promoting it i dont agree with any exploit being allowed so as far as the legion thing goes you should report it as that is not intended.

Alright I get wht the situation is, but even then if you add such a timer to the game, you'll still need to balance it out with something that makes it so you dont hold every card, because remember when it's a 1on1 chase, it's all or nothing and without that hatch you really don't got alot going on for you as a survivor. Once you've been downed that's game unless you wiggle out

So in a game where you legit put that guy on the hook and he didnt dc but the timer does activate, that lady survivor holds the biggest disadvantage. So what would you place to maybe balance it out. Remember this game is supposed to be about balance.

I know generally survivors have the advantage, but that's with a team so I'm souly going on a 1v1 match here.

What disadvantage are you talking about the survivor still has to wait the normal time as they would if someone died on hook which is 5-7 seconds the only way they would lose is if the killer knew where hatch was but even then they can just camp a door im very lost on why you believe they need something extra because removing a work around to the death animation?

I understand what you're trying to say, but saying Unbreakable is ***the counter*** to slugging is silly. If you're being camped while slugged (which happens frequently with slugging for the 4k in my experience, especially with stealth killers), you get up with Unbreakable and you go down again.... what are you going to do? Get up and get slugged again? No, because it only works once.

It's still not an exploit, since it is not directly benefiting the person who "exploited" whatsoever. It's just a scummy thing to do. And like I said, what if the Survivor D/Cs while their teammate is nowhere near the hatch, but they find it anyway? Would you still call that an exploit?

Please understand that in no way am I defending hatch D/Cs, since I think it's a dumb thing to do, but to call it an exploit is silly. It's just a scummy "tactic". I'm finished replying though, since I know that nothing will be done about this and to have a 4 page discussion on something that won't be addressed is asinine. No offense of course, just saying that there are better things to do!

Yes i would because they are still dcing in hopes they will find the hatch the mentality still exists regardless of if they are on hatch or not it's still attempting to exploit the mechanic.

I don't follow, if you downed someone while putting someone else on the hook you already dont need to worry about the hatch so that makes no sense to me, that's what I said you should do in the first place. What in saying is this

My team mate gets on the hook, I find the hatch (last man standing) and I wait for the following 6sec wait time on death while you rush over to me, I then have to wait an additional 5sec to open the hatch of which if it works like any other progress action you'll then immediately grab me, my other option is I run around but then you'll body block me and close the hatch. My options are now the gate. But if this was an actual thing with the timer and the game played out as stated above, what's the advantage for me? Because you already hold all advantages now. Will I have an increase wiggle bar progress, or an increase in gate opening. Or do I not deserve either?

Thats not what im saying you are missing the point this does not add more time to the death animation basically if someone dc's their timer is the same as the death animation giving the killer time to either find the hatch or find you it would be no different then someone dying on hook while basically removing tactical dcs

You are missing what im saying so i will paint it for you i downed the nea the last gen popped i saw the jake went after jake well nea found hatch i downed jake he dced nothing i could do she got hatch for free because she was ontop of it when he dced what im saying is in that same situation jake would have got a timer and the nea would not have been rewarded with the jake's dc because with my idea it would have been a death timer meaning i would have had time to reach her since i saw her on the ground while chasing jake.

And they get punished, that 3sec wait cost them everything, but alright we can agree that we both like a good honest fair game. So now that say we made it to where the game adds another 5 to 7 sec of wait time on top of the already wait time for the person dying. How do we make it slightly more fair for the last person who either finds that hatch and Hope's you dont rush over there which will happen, or open that last door. Do we maybe add an extra 50% gate opening progress speed? Maybe a 50% increase wiggle? How do we make it so we have a fair game for both parties, I want your honest answer because honestly I'd say add the wiggle progress but that's because i like the idea of getting a free down on someone :p

What lmao if the survivor is on the ground that means the killer downed them if a survivor didn't disconnect that survivor still would have to wait the death animation correct so why should this give them any advantage when it is the same exact time as the death animation there literally is no difference like none the killer would get them regardless of a dc but with how it currently is the killer can't do anything once the dc happens once the survivor pulls them to the corner while the other is near hatch the point of the post is addressing the work around to an animation that was intended to be in the game for a reason which is to allow the killer time to find the hatch and or get to the downed survivor.

1 … 25 26 27 28 29 … 44
