I'm a rank 1. I was doing the NOED totem. I couldn't go to a different loop bc there was nothing. The only correct thing u said is why am I trying to vault after I got shocked and I will admit I completely forgot that I got shocked😂. I can't dodge the attack if I'm doing a totem. And if I dodge the shock that means I'm not going in a straight line and as everyone knows straight lines are the fastest route to somewhere so if I dodged the attack that means I am losing distance and he catches up quicker. And if he has bloodlust then he catches up even if he spams shock. I never stay at the pallet and spam the button trying to drop the pallet bc ik it doesn't work. Trust me, ik. I watch every good streamer and I've been playing for 1000 hours and I understand what ur saying but no. Thx for the response.❤️

Isn't that just a ######### situation that you'll have a tough time with against most any killer. lol imagine if clown just kept chucking bottles at you while u tried to get that totem.

  • He slows down when he's charging his shock. If he's spamming it, he's losing the chase.

If he's defending the totem, just leave or someone save the person on hook.

Why are you trying to vault after he's shocked you? Loop him. Run to a different window/pallet. Also you can dodge his shock. Bait him to charge the shock, if he shocks you loop him around because he's already lost distance charging his shock, don't stick around spamming your key to try to drop a pallet or vault a window when you can't.

Play Doc at high ranks and you'll find that Doc has a really tough time against any competent survivor.

  • lul just wear a headset and you'll 4k everyone lul

i mean those killer perks are needed to have a chance at winning, you can have chases that all last less than 20seconds and still lose because you didnt have gen defense.. not all killers have that sort of power and with some loops it can take that to get a hit. im not sure what scummy ways you refer to though? cause camping is terrible, tunneling isnt beneficial due to DS, BT and if its a tunnel it probably wasnt a safe save either tbh. and slugging... well everyone has DS so you have to. a good survivor though can still be extremely strong without meta perks or even perks at all, after all gens are so very easy, a medkit or others can heal you (or just rush gens if you can loop without healing) and you dont need perks to run round loops... then you have maps, but lets not go into that.

Yeah I'm running Kindred/Small Game/Resilience/SpineChills at Rank 1 and I'm getting out around 60% of the time. Survivors don't need meta perks to win but Killers can be completely useless without the meta perks.

Just faced a buba who just would camp to death whoever he hooked so we genrushed him (like the devs and people said to) he got a 2k because of how long it takes to do gens with 2-3 people. Then he gets us at the end because of noed? So what the heck are we supposed to do to counter this? We genrush because thats the counter to camping but then we get punished for not doing totems. But we dont have the time to do both with him camping to death each person.

It takes 80 seconds to do a gen.

120 seconds for someone to die on hook.

Most likely they will have ran the killer a bit beforehand as well.

You should have plenty of time to do 5 gens. Split up, don't all stack on the same gens. If each person is on a separate gen and the person who is being facecamped didn't get ######### downed right away, you will have way more than enough time to do all 5 gens and open the gates before the facecamped player even dies.

In the 100 games I recorded stats, every facecamping Bubba did terribly. I had enough time to get every totem(ran small game every match) and do all 5 gens, 99 the gates and then a few times the team would go for the save and end up giving a couple kills. I died once to 9 facecamping Bubbas. 4 of them got 0 kills because we genrushed, did totems, and saved the person and escaped. 2 got 1Ks because we couldn't save that one person and 3 got 2Ks because of failed saves after all gens were done.

72% of the survivors made it out alive against Bubbas on my stats sheet. Maybe it's because this was at red ranks so people knew to just do gens and get the ######### out (also some amazing last second saves for those 0Ks).

Honestly there's nothing more satisfying then getting out against a facecamper and then ending up with only like 5K BP. Especially when your team manages to somehow save the person who was facecamped as well.

  • I've been last switching from Plague to Doctor last second.

See people unequip their medkits constantly in queue lol.

Kindred and spine chill are my only always perks, although I swap kindred for bond sometimes but that slow is always aura

Yeah Kindred will probably be sidelined for a bit till PH picks die down.

  • Rank 1. I usually run Kindred/Spine Chills/Small Game/Resilience.

  • @DelsKibara said:

It's perfectly normal to feel a little anxious when playing Killer, purely because you are all alone against 4 other players. 🙂

As for you facing Red Ranks, the devs are currently working on an alternative matchmaking method which would match you with players who are equally as skilled as you. So you won't have to worry about them in the near future.

Who knows how far the near future is though

  • In the 100 games I kept stats on, Nightmare, Huntress, Spirit, Oni, and Bubba(facecamping almost every game) were the most common killers, not counting Huntress because of the archives going on.

While yes I saw every killer (clown once, demo once) there is a severe lack in variety at the red ranks.

Not every killer is viable. Yes every Killer can 4K at red ranks but that's all dependant on how badly the survivors ######### up. Like camping being a viable strategy. That solely relies on the survivors all running in to die trying to save whoever's being camped or people suiciding and not giving their team time to do gens.

Camping/######### killers CAN win but they're NOT viable.

  • People shouldn't be punished for wanting to play with their friends. Why the ######### would you punish your playerbase for that?

Giving incentives to go against them is the way to go.

People already hate playing against SWFs and dodge/mori them if they can. If players are rewarded for playing against SWFs, there'd be less killers quitting and more people willing to play against them.

Killers just need to be buffed in general as well though.

  • Don't think Slenderman needs any licensing. He's pretty much public domain, no? The devs could easily do a Slender chapter. Honestly he's really the only creepypasta/meme worth getting.

  • Because you didn't get the kill/points lol so you lose!

  • The passive effect is that there's ######### on ur screen(also killer instinct when you step on the trenches).

  • Yeah if you're good and you're being tunneled, that's a good thing. Team can easily get gens done.

You're probably not as good as you're thinking you are.

  • She looks fine. The ones we have to complain about are Laurie, Tapp, and Quentin. Especially Quentin lol.

  • Imagine people playing a horror game are disappointed that probably THE most iconic killer in horror video games is coming to their game.

    Jesus ######### Christ.

  • Kate's in the Tome and it's a good perk for juking.

  • On my Doc I run

Distressing - Larger terror radius for the Blast

Unnerving Presence- for the harder skill checks. Also combo'd with Distressing.

Huntress Lullaby - for even harder skill checks

    Ruin/Pop - for gen regression.

I don't use Overcharge because it's completely nullified by anyone who can hit skill checks and it's unaffected skill check related perks. But I guess if you don't have Ruin/Pop, overcharge is good in place of them.

    For my add-ons I use

Order - For fake pallets and more Blasts.

Discipline - For faster therapy pop.

I don't use Calm because it's terror radius reduction goes against the combo of Distressing+Unnerving.

Otz early two weeks ago play one streaming with noed and facecamping for make a point: noed is broken and deserve to nerf.(4k every game btw, except one 2k). at the end of those games otz admitted that he not only saw how broken the noed is, but how totally unfair facecamping is.

If you're talking about what I think about, he only played like 7 games. NOED only activated twice. And two of those games the survivors literally walked themselves into 4Ks. Like he's Bubba revving the saw while facecamping and the entire team comes over and dies instead of doing gens.

This only proves that survivors playing like ######### is OP for Killers. lol Bubba is over there facecamping the hooked person with his chainsaw revving, let's all go over there and save him! lololol

  • Try to get the survivors to farm with you.

  • Honestly I feel like a lot of these "fix ghostface" posts just don't understand how to break him out of stealth.

I remember a thread where a guy posted videos asking what he was doing wrong in revealing Ghostface and in the vids, you could see he just never had Ghostface in the center of his screen. Constantly had him off to the side of the screen.

Also your character model can obscure him too so yeah don't body block him from your view.

Ghostface also has addons that affect the distance you can reveal him from.

From what I've seen though, most people just have problems keeping him centered, moving their camera around too much(like when they're being chased).

Maybe it's just me, but I never have trouble breaking him out of shroud. In fact, it's the very first thing I do if I spot him unless I'm trying to hide.

  • Don't reward it.

When campers start seeing that they depip and make out with only like 5k BP, they'll stop.

You'll pip/safetypip your way out of those low rank campers if you just not reward them.

    10. Hex: Ruin - 13

    Interesting Notes

    • Perks I ran were Kindred, Spine Chills, Small Game, and Resilience.
    • Surprised I had such a high survival rate. Survived 61 times out of 100 games.
    • 100% survival rate against Deathslinger and Nurse. 80% against Doc and Oni.
    • Didn't get matched up with many red rank killers. Only 22 Red Rank Killers out of 100.
    • Didn't encounter a single yellow rank player but ran into 1 lvl 20 baby killer
    • Only encountered Clown and Demo once each. They both 4Kd. Clown with the Moris.
    • Lots of Huntress Matches. Probably because of Tome challenge. Yet, only 6 Legions?
    • Plague 4Kd in 4 games. People cleanse like mad and everyone ends up getting one shotted to death.
    • 5 DCs/Suicides against Spirit. Way higher than any other Killer. It's ######### ridiculous how mad people get playing against her.
    • A DC/Suicide almost always resulted in a 3/4K. Kill rate stats really do get ######### up with them.
    • Poor Myers with 5 0K games.
    • Bubba will 90% of the time face camp, Insidious or not.
    • As a Ghostface main, it pained me to see almost all of them bringing NOED.
    • Only got hit by NOED like 4-5 times. 3 of those times it was because I waited to cleanse the 5th totem cause I knew it was right nearby as I finished the last gen. As always, someone gets hit right as you finish the last gen.
      • JUST DO BONES PEOPLE
    • Might just be because I'm running spine chills but people just can not stop getting exposed by Ghostface. As soon as I spot GF, unless I'm trying to hide, I break him out of stealth right away. People apparently have problems with this? I manage to pop him out of it every time without fail.
    • I see people complain a lot about Moris but only ran into 4 Killers carrying Moris or any color. They do have a huge impact on the game though. Same with keys.

    Solo Survivor Observations

    • Injured players will crouch nearby the Killer hooking someone hoping to get the unhook. They almost always ended up getting downed and now there were 2 survivors hooked to save. This happened A LOT..Despite running Kindred, I still got entire Survivor teams racing to see who could save me first.
    • Despite running Kindred, people will still come over despite the Killer's aura being visible to all to see to try and save me instead of letting the Killer even walk away first.
    • People constantly loop the Killer back towards the hooked person. They will even go for the hook in the middle of being chased.
    • It really is the worst feeling when you have a gen at 90% then someone leads the Killer right to you and they kick the gen with Pop.
    • Seems SWFs would rather tag along a chase instead of work on gens to try and save their friend being chased.
    • Most of the frustrations playing soloQ comes from your teammates. Killer play style rarely impacted(unless they were camping Bubba). It was all the stupid ######### listed above happening over and over and over again that tilted me the most.
      • It's almost like I'm being punished for running Kindred.
    • Killers "lost" more games than they "won". Maybe this is due to matchmaking as I rarely got matched against red rank killers.

Don't quite know where I'm going with this but probably gonna keep up with this spreadsheet until I get 100 games against each Killer. That'll be tough with the less popular killers.

Recorded stats there at red rank and the only campers I ever got were Bubbas. Only once did they get more than 2Ks. They 0Kd 4 times, 1Kd 2 times, and 2Kd 3 times.

And those 2 and 3K games were because we had all the gens done and the team decided to try for some daring saves.

Camping is an absolute ######### strategy if the Survivor being camped doesnt suicide immediately.

  • @DelsKibara said:

Honestly that's way more Myers encounters than I was expecting.

I rarely ever get Myers and if I do, they tend to be rather new.

Lots of 0Ks though. That 1 4K was hilarious though. Dude managed to get us all down with his first EW2 like 1-2 minutes into the match.

    @Stitch7833 said:

I dont verse half of these killers, i havent went against a demo, hag, nurse ad stuff like that in a month, others i see once or twice a week. from my experience as a solo is if i get chased we have more chance escaping because my team mates never lead on chases well at all and sometimes they dont even touch gens, id say quite often i double everyones points and sometimes have more than my whole team put together but thats due to the easy ranking and the nearly impossible to de-pip. if i do duo swf, not even with a really strong friend my escapes and progress probably triple.

i will add, and i dont mean this in a horrible way but when killers tend to win its due to survivors not doing gens or have no idea how to lead a chase at all, i dont want it to sound like im saying the killer is good and wins because of bad survivors but sometimes people go down so fast i cant even understand how, and when killers lose they arent noticeably bad, just everyone does gens and chases for a change... so its like if survivors actually know how to play and do the gens they win most games which seems odd

Yeah. Some people say Killer is too strong but it feels like any competent team will win most of the time. I had so much success soloQ with no meta/second chance perks. A full squad with meta perks is hell for 90% of killers.

    The 4k though.

And yeah a lot of the times it really feels like whether you pip up or not depends on your teammates. Like a lot of other team oriented games, your team can downright be the reason why you're deranking if there's no way of hard carrying.

  • Use this time to learn how to beat Doc.

  • People crouched nearby when someone is being hooked. Especially when injured. They 90% of the time get downed as well and now there's two people hooked that needs to be saved. Not to mention they weren't working on a gen while that person was getting chased and were following them around for the unhook.

When I'm hooked with Kindred and the entire ######### team still races to me to see who can unhook me first.

When I'm hooked with Kindred and the entire team is just crouching around in a corner, nobody on a generator.

People looping around the hooked person or leading the killer right into them.

When I get hooked, bleed out on first hook because of the killer camping, and not a single generator was done in that time.

  • Give the hooked person distraction+obj points if the killer is camping them and the team is working on gens.

  • @Khar said:

How many times do people like you need to be told that DLC and bug fixes are handled by different teams?

They may be different teams but resources will still be allocated to DLC instead of bug fixes as well as DLCs as you can see bring their own wave of bugs as well.

Rainbow 6 Siege had their "Operation Health" where the team had to convince the higher ups to stop making DLC so that they could work on fixing the game in order to save it. It didn't fix everything but there were many fixes that laid the groundwork to the success the game is having today.

Another anecdote is I have a friend who works for a company named... "heavy snowstorm"... and while discussing how ######### RockStar was handling RDO and their bugs, he told me how his company handled it by separating things to different priorities.

High Priority - Money related stuff.

-DLC. Gotta make that money. Have everyone working on DLC.

-People figured out a glitch that dupes items/money? Patch that ######### out by tomorrow.

-The game can't run at all because of a bug? Fix that thing now.

Low Priority - Non-gamebreaking bugs, ######### matchmaking, etc.

The higher ups don't give a ######### about the low priority stuff. They pretty much have everyone working on the high priority stuff and people work on the low priority stuff when they can. He tells me this is just how things work and he can't do anything about it. It's really telling how passionate the Siege team were that they were able to convince Ubisoft to stop DLC so they could ######### fix the game.

I Read the book but its been 25 years. Isn't pennywise an alien vampire/psychic vampire? Don't remember him ever being called a god of any type

    Pennywise is a cosmic entity

  • Pennywise's true form isn't a spider. It's a bunch of lights in space. The "spider" is an extension it's using to populate and feed on the people of earth.

  • Altruism really is one of the biggest killers. I've seen so many 1Ks turn into 3/4Ks from the perspective of both sides or games just spiral out of control as survivors mindlessly throw themselves at the killer trying to save their teammates.

  • The small doll killers would be difficult to implement.

By "Hellraiser" I assume you mean Pinhead. People do ask for him.

Hannibal... is just a guy who eats people.

Candyman is a classic Killer with supernatural powers that can be readily implemented into the game. Also new Candyman movie soon.

Not at OP but I don't think Pennywise belongs in the game. Pennywise itself is just an extension of a cosmic being in essence, much like the Entity itself.

  • What exactly do you mean by "endgame"

  • Doc's a noobstomper. Pounds the ######### out of new players who are too invested in hiding and crouching around the map and can't even hit regular skillchecks to save their life.. Against high rankers though, his skill checks aren't that hard and his shocks are mindgameable as they'll set him behind if he ######### them up.

I've been recording the stats as SoloQ Survivor and I'm up to about 40 games. I've run into 2 docs and they both got 1Ks. I'm not even running super tryhard perks in these stats. Just Kindred/Spine Chills/Small Game/Resilience.

Going up against Doc is fun. He changes things up. Catching the skill checks are fun. Dodging and Mindgaming his shocks and winning chases is fun. All the ######### fake pallets and ######### when your madness is up is hilarious.

I feel like Doc is in a pretty good place. He's not OP and he's not exactly underpowered either and he brings a completely different experience from the other killers.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/850/0YY18NXAD7L0.png

this picture is a bad example seeing they all escaped but its just showing what matchmaking is putting me against

Doesn't this screenshot show that it's not too easy?

  • As the killer

  • Spine Chills is one of the best perks in the game. As it stands, it needs no buff. Other perks do.

  • Can you really call the corn dead zone though

  • @Dabihwow said:

yeah I realized that as well, just one match it almost felt like 3 gens were done the moment I started moving. But from what I've heard a while back was that if survivors worked together on a gen, their progression speed reduce or something like that. Anyway yeah I don't see the game balanced as used to be back before pre ruin

Yeah If 3 survivors work on separate gens, they can pop 3 gens in 80 seconds.

If they all work together on the same gens, it'll be like 40 seconds each. so its 120 seconds for 3 gens instead if they work together not counting the time running to different gens.

  • I remember when I started burning the offerings to have Survivors started separately. That just ended up with 3 gens being completed in my face as I hooked my first survivor.

With them working all on one gen, it'll just be one, maybe two, gens that get done early.

  • Corn Maps. When I play Survivor I use this to my advantage. I can dodge so many hits and escape so many chases weaving through the ######### corn.

  • When the Killer is being looped to hell by a Survivor and then you accidentally run into them and he comes flying at you with tier 3 bloodlust.

  • What was your team supposed to do? Come there and die? You let them all lose hook states to do gens.

What was Leatherface supposed to do? Leave you to get unhooked and escape? It's ######### end game.

  • GG after everygame because sportsmanship

  • I enjoy playing as and against Freddy more.
