Idk bout that one chief. The whole counterplay to oni is A) Avoid giving him an injury and B) get around a corner or the other side of a wall during his demon dash. The 180 removed the second counterplay to oni and made him get hits at almost any tile. I’ve had oni’s literally run past me thinking I dodged them only for them to 180 flick turn around and get me when I wasn’t even on their screen. It’s an exploit that should’ve been patched years ago. At least now since the exploit is fixed they can give a compensation buff to maybe his speed or to his passive charge of his power.

Considering BHVR said they added this map as a "nerf" to the map offering, it being killer-sided seems intentional as a counterbalance to the survivor-sided Forsaken Boneyard.
true but it sets a bad precedent for future maps. If bhvr continues to go on the trend of introducing small killer sided maps with not enough pallets it will become a problem. That’s why current haddonfield and forgotten ruins are one of the most hated maps on the survivor side right now because they’re extreamly small and barely have enough pallets.

Why do you want to know the age of the mods?🤣

Get ready for the rise in PC Oni’s this month trying to get the last bit of value out of their exploit (I mean tech).

I'd knock down sprint burst and knock up dramaturgy, dramaturgy is like old dead hard for distance. Background player is good there, but if they ever fix flashbangs, then it would get knocked down a pet or 2.
sprint burst has always been the best exhaustion perk ever since DH got reworked in 6.1, Dramaturgy is really good but the main drawback on it is it only works if you’re healthy, every other exhaustion perk works if you’re injured but drama and overcome are the only outliers. I don’t think they’ll ever fix flashbangs since it’s coded to be a bubble explosion radius so they would have to rework the coding and since the game runs on Spaghetti code I doubt it will ever be looked into

Thought they just adjusted some of Nemesis' addons?
PH, Freddy, HM, Demo etc etc could all use work. Probably DS too
where did DS come from? I thought we were talking about killer addons
-
I always wished they would add a killer repeat prevention system to ensure you wouldn’t go against the same killer twice in a row but come to think of it, it would probably screw over queue times a lot for the higher picked killers like wesker, blight, huntress, legion, etc. For legion tho in particular, I HATED legion when I started playing this game but once you realize they are a bare bones m1 4.6 killer when you’re injured you can juice them up pretty good. The only times I hate legion is when they use thanataphobia and only play for feral slash hits, once u hear the terror radius all they do is come by, make u go into deep wounds, run away to the next survivor and ONLY commits chases when the survivor is in a dead zone or with only 1-2 pallets in the area.

I think Blight is generally fine, and adding extra cooldown to Nurse won't really fix her issues.
it won’t fix their issues but it be a hell of a lot better to be in chase vs them since they wouldn’t have their power available every 3 seconds

I run DS every game in all my survivor builds and I can confirm I am always the obsession every single match.
you’re the solo q player we all need. I swear 75% of my solo q matches could’ve been won if my teammates brought some form of anti tunnel (ds, otr or even stb)
-
@Mandy Hi Mandy, quick question. Why was nurse not apart of the 40 meter terror radius? She can blink on top of a survivor in a matter of 1-2 seconds and only has a 6 second cooldown for both blinks.
-
Billy is fine as a 4.6 killer. All he has is his chainsaw, without it he’s literally nothing. Blight is the same but his power is on demand so catching up to a running survivor is so easy that 4.4 would be necessary. Blight’s power is so good that he should always be using it and punished for not. That’s the whole concept of 4.4 killers, they have a very strong chase or mobility tool but move at 4.4 to balance it out making them forced to use their powerful ability to win their matches. Imagine a chucky or spirit never using their power. They would be awful

knock out becoming an anti predrop perk was not on my bucket list for today 😂

These, at least to me are quite niche perks. Yes, you see them get value, yes you see people can use them more often - but to be upset that more people have the opportunity to use them as generics (when we barely have any generics) is odd to me.
If anything, I am happy that people can use them without waiting for the Shrine of Secrets or simply having to buy the character.
More people will experiment with these builds, getting off of meta builds, a win-win for perk diversity - I do not mind this change.
I’m glad they’ll be available for new players that come in, especially with the upcoming fnaf release but having every killer have access to deadlock will just feel annoying. Plaything might get changed or give more clarity for new survivors since the perk is outright game breaking for new players that have no idea what oblivious is, let alone a hex perk. But at the end of the day I’m all for the general perk pool having good options especially on the killer end. Survivors get resi, prove thyself, adren, sb, hope, dh, and many other perks are completely free and have been meta forever. When Stranger things was gone, surge (Jolt at the time) was the most popular perk for a while since it was free AND was a good gen regression perk. I wouldn’t be surprised if deadlock and plaything reach high pick rates once the perks become free to all players.

Wasn't he supposed to get an update? Does it still coming?
him and plague were supposed to get tweaks during November put got post-poned to a later date. I’m almost 100% sure that even if bhvr loses a license, it doesn’t mean they can’t make balance adjustments to the character. When stranger things was gone, demogorgon had multiple balance changes before the license got re-instated. I’d wish we got those balance changes before the announcement of hellraiser leaving since it would’ve prompted more people to purchase the chapter.

Gift of pain was such a good name for the perk since it literally gives you the gift of pain by giving mangled and hemorrhage and slowing down action speeds after being healed from the unhook. Peak perk design if they tweaked it to allow the slowdown on both unhooks

I didn’t think about that but having deadlock be a general perk will be a great thing. It is in my opinion a healthy perk
I don’t know about healthy since the killer literally doesn’t have to do a damn thing to get deadlock to work but I do agree it’s very helpful to prevent gen rushing and multiple gens popping back to back.

I agree. The part that is going to frustrate me the most is that deadlock and plaything will now be general perks available to everyone that levels up the bloodweb.

I love using it but it’s sometimes very ping reliant if you don’t get the pallet stun at first. I can’t count how many times I go for a stun on the killer but barely miss their hitbox and then spam the chem trap button only for the killer’s kick to take priority over me placing the chem trap. But it is very time efficient against killers that have too large of an ego. They’ll loop around a single pallet for 30+ seconds JUST to avoid being slowed down by chem trap. I’m excited for the anniversary to come back since chem trap was a very good perk to use against killers that loved abusing the remote pallet break.
-
i think there is 2 major factors that make her hits feel very strong against survivors, the fact she has full control of her camera during a blink is crazy when literally every killer that has a movement based power has very restricted movement with their camera during their dash or burst in speed (besides spirit). And her green ‘heavy panting’ addon that gives her a whopping 30% increased lunge on her second blink to where on both the nurse and survivor screen she doesn’t even touch the survivor with her weapon but still gets the hit is the other factor. Both of those makes trying to dodge a nurse that blinked relatively close to you feel almost impossible to dodge imo.

i think they only nerfed it because they gave him an increased initial turn. Imagine pre nerf double boots lol.
the boots did NOT have an effect on the initial turn rate. They helped after the initial turn rate to make for even sharper curves but boots have never affected the initial turn rate, a lot of people thought they did and that’s why people complained.

Map offerings are an advantage. It’s not a coincidence when certain maps get reworked/balanced or nerfed, survivors stop bringing them. There is a reason why killers burn indoor maps (Midwich the most)- especially with Doctor, Pig, Myers, Wraith, Ghostface, or anyone with Hex/Totem builds (Harder to find because of multi-level).
BHVR should release the kill/survival rates on maps with every Chapter.
I hope they do another mapping the realm community discussion again soon so we can give feedback on their somewhat recently reworked maps that turned out to be a failure (haddonfield, gas heaven, eyrie, rancid, garden of joy)

i hope they actually buff hooking to help combat slugging instead of nerfing the symptoms i would like to see the following
- When killers hook a survivor a 10% total regression hits all gens and will not count to a regression event
- While a survivor on a hook all survivors suffer a 5.5% action debuff which stacks on the number of survivors that are on the hook so if killer has 2 on hook 11% action debuff to the other 2 survivors
- When killer moves 16 Meters away from the hook they gain a 5% movement speed buff for 10 Secs the bonus is lost and not returned if you return to the hook then leave again.
I’m fine with the last 2 ideas but the first one wouldn’t be good imo. Og pain res was 15% and worked infinitely as long as there was a scourge hook. Giving players half a pain res basekit on EVERY gen would be too much imo especially if it doesn’t have the scourge hook requirement. If they were to add this they would have to nerf pain res for compensation because getting 4 hooks that give -30 regression on the top progress gen along with a -10 on every other gen would make A tier and above killers feel unstoppable in most matches.
-
all depends on if they want to do another licensed iteration of 2v8. But killers that I think are very likely to be added due to their power being simple for 2v8 and would only need minor buffs would be oni, trickster, clown, pyramid head, chucky, Dracula ,bubba, artist, singu and unknown. Killers like onryo, plague, xeno and pig would be difficult to implement since their killer objects that spawn on the map would have to compete with the guaranteed 20 chests that spawn on every map. But for the next iteration id guess they will add unknown, oni and either singu or clown.
-
I think the way the system they’re implementing will identify a survivor trying to go next is if they intentionally miss 2 struggle skill checks in a row to instantly die. I hope this system is not in play when there’s 2 survivors left because 9 times out of 10 the survivor on hook will die to give their teammate a chance for hatch

Maybe we'll finally see those balance changes for Pinhead and Plague
I completely forgot that those killers got postponed. I wonder what changes they have in mind for them? For pinhead imo they should add liquified gore basekit, rework original pain, and make it so pinhead can’t break his own chains. I’ve seen people say impaling wire should be basekit but I think that would be too much. For Plauge I could see them toning down her addons (mainly her iridescents) since they are very strong and arguably is what makes her feel very oppressive at times.

I hope they buff Saboteur. It’s a joke how it is at the moment. It has a 60 second cooldown and hooks respawn in 30 seconds. Compare that to Breakdown where hooks break for 180 seconds and it’s just not a worthwhile perk to use. Especially with hooks being so close together now. I think the cooldown should be removed but the amount of times you can use it perk hook should be limited .
agree. They should buff the base sabo speed from saboteur to 2 seconds flat from 2.3 and half the cooldown to 30 seconds from 60. I think that will make the perk feel much better but makes it a risk of the killer always having to deal with a potential sabo on every down they get.
-
Netflix is known for being very stingy when it comes to their Stranger Things IP but last year Fortnite got new skins from Stranger Things so it’s possible that when the final season drops later this year we could see a potential 2nd Stranger Things chapter or at the very least a lot of new skins and legendary skins for the already existing characters.
-
I know you already listed it above but haddonfield. This god forsaken map is so bad for both sides that I would much rather it be completely reworked from the ground up. For survivor side, the map barely has any pallets and the only good windows are the ones in main but even then with rng they are awful. Huge dead zones across the whole map, it’s one of the smallest maps in the game. For killer side, the rework made the cars in the road have horrible collision to the point where if you get anywhere near them as Billy, blight, bubba or wesker you’ll just end up getting stuck on the car rather than sliding across it. The map is still horrible for m1 killers if they don’t hold the obnoxious 3 gen by main. This map has been and never will be balanced for either side.

I hope they buff cruel limits, hangman's trick, and game afoot. They probably won't tbh but would love a distance buff for hangmans trick, time increae cruel limits, and gamefoot getting a buffed time to account the pallet breaking.
those perks could definitely use a buff. Tbh I completely forgot what game afoot does since it’s such an awkward perk. Cruel limits could definitely be buffed to 45 or even 60 seconds since pallets are still usable when cruel limits is active. I hope they go for the perks that are almost never used in matches and gigabuff them to make them shine perks like cut loose, undone, shadowborn, hoarder, collective stealth, red herring, treacherous crows all need a significant buff to have them compete with other strong perks.

just happened to me. They seriously need to do something, it’s giving people matchmaking bans because we get killed before the match even starts. Honestly me and the bucket believe we should just leave it as is, lowk getting tired of the aura perks and I liked the whole idea of tracking perks through things like scratch marks and blood.
I get that, it’s hard to come up with perk rework and buffs since the only good status effects are aura, hinder, sometimes expose, endurance and haste. Any other status effect is not worth bringing into your build and we have enough haste and endurance perks, hinder always feels awful on both sides so aura imo is the balance between both roles.

@TWS001 said:
I think we are at the point where he is clear as the strongest killer now ahead of Nurse.
I have been facing a large number of Blights in solo queue myself, recently and if the player is even half decent, it is more often than not an easy win for the killer. An open map, even more so.
If they are running speed add ons and something along the lines of Lethal, Pain Res, Grim Embrace and one of BBQ, DMS or possibly Eruption, Surge, you'll be lucky to do more than a single gen because it just turns into a game of blocked gens and hook exchanges or slug/hook another one and return to the hook before the original person is rescued if survivors are slow.
He is extremely strong and I'm not surprised someone was able to get nearly 2000 wins in a row with him and was only stopped by a cracked SWF specifically hunting him down.
At least the games are over quickly and it doesn't last for 30 minutes or more like Skull Merchant used to. That's probably how he's been able to avoid a major nerf!
yea I can agree with him being the best killer in the game rn simply because of his consistency. I think once time goes on we’ll see more and more blight nerf posts like chucky and SM to the point where the devs will inevitably have to do something about his basekit and speed addons. Currently on nightlight blight is the 2nd most popular killer only under Freddy because Freddy just got his rework. I guarantee if Freddy didn’t get his rework then blight would be the most picked killer rn. Yea there’s a tome challenge for blight but that doesn’t justify the absurd amount of blights running the same addons and pretty much same builds (all meta). I hope sometime during 2025 Blight and Nurse will finally get their long awaited nerfs to bring them in line with the roster.
-
I personally think all the current S tiers are in a reasonably good state besides nurse because she’s never been in one lol. Imo I think their addons are what makes their already powerful basekit feel very oppressive during matches. Nurses heavy panting addon is straight up a crutch addon that gives a massive 30% extra lunge on her second blink. The amount of times I’ve gotten a hit or been hit from this addon is crazy, it doesn’t even look like the nurse hit you but because of this addon it always hits. Blights double speed have always and will always be his best addons as long as they are in the game. His already fast basekit movement speed on top of increased speed addons make him extremely hard to dodge especially on his 4th or 5th rush. Spirit’s rusty flute addon lets her use her power so often that it feels like she is like old chucky with a 9-10 second cooldown and a good spirit will almost always get a hit when they’re in a phase unless it’s a god pallet or window. And for Billy, as much as I love him as he’s my main but his iri engravings make him a monster if played right. His regular chainsaw out of overdrive with engravings is faster than basekit overdrive and when he’s in overdrive with engravings he moves so fast that it’s almost impossible to dodge if not already on the corner of a loop. If they toned down some of the S tiers addons I could see them being more widely accepted by the community.
-
@Moodyy said:
If they do nerf billy i can see them reverting his initial turn rate back to .75 and probably make it a brown addon and probably a doom engravings nerf. But yea i think billy is in a good spot. just wish they polished him a bit in the QOL department.
I don’t think they’ll touch Billy. His pick rate and kill rate has dropped to the preferred target for bhvrs standards and they fine tuned the problematic aspects of his kit. Nerfed speed in od, nerfed how often od is active during the match, nerfed his missed chainsaw cooldown and nerfed his most busted addon lopro chains. I remember in an ohtofu stream on twitch one of the devs were in the chat and were discussing the Billy nerf and they said the 1 second turn rate is a fun and well received change from all the Billy players and the devs didn’t want to take that away when they nerfed him so they did the other nerfs. If they substantially nerf blight to a point where he’s out of S tier I could see a huge rise in Billy players again, only time will tell.
-
Ghostface definitely deserves some buffs. I think they should add drop-leg knife sheath fully basekit along with the long overdue fix for the reveal mechanic. I feel that’s what’s his biggest issue, it’s so inconsistent on both sides where I’ll stare directly at a ghostface for 5 seconds and it won’t kick him out of power and when I play as ghostface I’m getting revealed from the next town over. I’d also buff his crouch speed to 4.4 to make his stealth better.

In general, ppl tend to be somewhat selfish with their perk loadouts. They like using perks that help THEMSELVES rather than perks for their teammates.
True, I do see more ds, DH and otr rather than perks like BT, STB, or even babysitter which is a disgustingly good anti tunnel perk that basically makes you invincible when looping tight enough and hard asl to track for 30 seconds after being unhooked. imo they should’ve buffed babysitter even more to 45 or even 60 seconds to really make it shine.
-
@Iron_Cutlass said:
Most of the community plays SoloQ and with how the perk is designed it mostly benefits SWF.
There is basically no way to guarantee that your random teammate doesnt die in 10 seconds after being unhooked, or what Ive mostly experienced, teammates half the time snag the unhook before you can even use STB, so you dont get value and your teammate dies easily.
Yea that’s 100% true. I hope that this health update includes seeing your teammates perks in the lobby so perks like deli, stb, babysitter, wicked, ds can shine better in solo q so teammates don’t rush to the hook knowing you have unhook related perks and so teammates don’t come to try and take a hit if you have ds or otr active. I swear the amount of awareness you can get from solo q with just the addition to see your teammates perks is so much that it’s just baffling it’s not in the game and we’re going on what 9 or 10 years rn.

during the dev q&a during the summer a question about map balancing was asked and they said their next maps they plan on visiting were badham (they specifically said with a focus on main building), garden of joy, midwich and swamp. Midwich got touched up during the summer with the castlevania release but I’m surprised when Freddy got reworked last month that they didn’t touch badham either. The only changes given to badham was in 8.3 where they added a window in the 2 story house next to the gen but then removed it a week later even though it technically nerfed the building since one of the breakable walls from downstairs was removed along with a window. Honestly with the way recent map updates/reworks come out and the way they seem to heavily side towards killers (haddonfield, rancid abattoir, borgo) I’m not as concerned about the wait time for these updates since the reason survivors love to send themselves there is not only because the maps blatantly side to them, but also because they know rng won’t kick bite them in their ass as much as the other maps in this game(haddonfield spawning only 8 pallets, DDS spawning a nasty 3 gen on gallows side, coldwind farm having those new awful maze tiles that are the same weight as jungle gyms).

The wait sucks not even going to lie. Yeah the reason why they did it is good but doesn’t make it suck less. Houndmaster PTB was 3 months ago and I didn’t like the chapter much or at all. I only liked all shaking thunder and scourge hook jagged compass even tho there isn’t many scourge hooks in the game. But the killer, survivor, and map were very boring to me. So there being 4 months between new content getting revealed in the ptb is long. And there is 20 days afterward that it goes to lives April 2nd is the release date. But bright side is that if the ptb for FNAF is still in May there is only like 1 month to wait after the release of the new chapter. And there is supposed to be a survivor only chapter in between there somewhere. So it’s dry af rn but it’s going to pour soon
pretty sure during the video they stated a lot of upcoming releases, events, and collections will be pushed back for the health update. I hope that they stick to tradition and have the ptb for the anniversary come out right after the anniversary stream but I doubt it tbh.
-
they just posted about it on Twitter. Hopefully it gets resolved tonight if not early tomorrow morning 🙏🏾

the only killer I could see getting more complaints after the change will be oni. He’s not exactly popular but what keeps him somewhat in check is that console players can’t 180 his demon strike. Versing a console vs pc oni is night and day, but giving all players the ability to “remove the counterplay” will definitely be a hot topic.
