NOED and Ruin are both perks i dislike tbh.
on one side they are boring for me, on the other side they are just too risky

if im gonna get the 1k auric cells, its basically for free, isnt it?

bye Legion, bye Laurie! o/

the best thing is, they cant even complain about you doing it!
like, you are merely defending your hook at that point, they are the sole reason you're still there. all they need to do to stop this "facecamp" is to leave the safety of their hooked buddies hitbox...
leading to their demise, of course xD
-
i see it more as a possible 2 man facecamp situation ^^
especially with oneshot killers xD

there are different forms of tea bagging.
if you do it to other survivors, its basically just a way to greet them / communicate with them, as you have described above. this is done by many players and usually not seen as anything toxic by anyone.
however, tea bagging in front of the killer (in a serious match with serious gameplay) is basically like taunting them and rubbing in their face that theyh avent cought you yet.
this is usually seen as some sort of insult by the killer, due to the huge disrespect shown towards them, therefore annoying them and rsulting in you being labeled as "toxic".
so TL;DR: tea bagging towards other survivors is perfectly fine and used as a normal way of communicating, though the killers dont see it as such. try to avoid it in the killers presence.

It really makes it hard to play nice when almost every match my dm's are blown up with such disgusting words when I win... I don't even use ruin, bbq or anything like that...
some players just cant handle losing, no matter how nice you played.
i know that, i get called "camper", "tunneler", etc all the time when i didnt do any of that.
some get extremely salty and start insulting me (though since i am a PC player they have to do so via the ingame chat, allowing me to report them).
if they harass you on any other plattforms, make sure to report and block them for it. maybe take a screenshot and send it to the DbD support team aswell, so they can take measures against this behavior (though i believe they did say they wouldnt ban for things that happen outside of their game, but you can still try).
anyway, i wish you best of luck with this!
and i sincerely hope you can find nicer players to play with. :)
-
last time i saw someone bring a key i brought a mori just for them.
they got 3k points i believe...
-
she is definitely harder to play, yet that doesnt really weaken her all that much.
she is still the best killer in the game - its just that many cant play her properly.
and i kinda agree she has become a lot less fun to play as.
-
honestly, i'd just want them to add a door next to it allowing the killer to walk around it.
it shouldnt be made useless though.
-
as a killermain, i would heavily dislike that.
this would only lead the survivors attention at totems, therefore indirectly nerfing any other totem perk in existence (well, besides Haunted Grounds ofc).
if you wish to play with Ruin, equip it. but please do not force it uppon other players like me, who play without the perk (and do so rather succesfully i might add).
-
next time he (or someone like him) tells you he'd send a clip to the devs, send him this picture:
that should be enough to shut them up.
just ignore such players and move on.
they cant handle defeat and they wont ever give in, no matter how much you try to argue with them.
the dude you described had it comming for him and he should have known that.
just dont get upset over people like this. thats exactly what they want.

Hex: No One Escapes Death is a perk widely seen as "band aid kit for bad killers", though this does not resemble the truth.
the perk itself comes with a high risk for the killer and multiple possible counterplays against it, rendering it mostly useless in higher ranks.
this perk is ment to punish those who did not care about the secondary objective they have been given and instead only focus on generators by exposing them when the game is about to end in a victory for them.
this is, as you have said above, a possible gamechanger, which is why the perk is considered a Hex perk.
Hex perks in general are supposed to be gamechangers. they are extraordinarily strong perks that can help you shift the game into your advantage, but therefore they are destroyable by survivors. it is the same with NOED, as the perk is only alive for as long as the survivors allow it to be alive. on top of that, unlike any other Hex perk, NOED will not even activate when the survivors just did the totems before finishing the last generator.
this means that not only the perk can be destroyed uppon being active, it can already be destroyed even before it activates.
when someone says this perk would "boost noob killers" or "carry bad killers" or "gift the killer an undeserved win", they haven't understood how the perk works. as instead of "rewarding the killer for bad gameplay", it instead punishes survivors for ignoring the secondary objective they have been gives.
therefore the pure existance of NOED gives dull totems a reason to exist and could potentially slow down games, as survivors would cleanse the totems in fear of being hit by the perk - even if you may not have been equipping it.
this makes the pure existance of NOED very important, as otherwise no player would ever consider cleansing a dull totem and therefore they wouldnt have to waste any time off the generators looking for them.
the biggest risk NOED comes with, is that it may end up being a completely dead perk throughout the entire trial. a killer with NOED equipped basically plays the entire trial with only 3 perks (2 if he had ruin and it got destroyed), crippling him during the actual trial - all of that only to get a chance of NOED to activate in the first place.
if you, as a survivor, are looking for counterplay for the perk, here a few tips on how to deal with it:
1) cleanse all dull totems
2) memorize all dull totem spots and then check them one by one for a NOED totem
3) play stealthy
4) dont try to rescue someone with NOED active
5) dont pop the final gen right in the killers face

Hey, since they've all been used, mind telling me where some are hidden ? I haven't found any and Im curious of which ways they hid them in :P
one below the DbD logo on the bottom of the page (mark the empty space below it with the mouse to reveal it)
one above the tweets (again, invivible to the eye so mark it)
one above the global notifications (mark)
one below a discussion you're in (mark yet again)
and then some in certain threats like forum rules. these are very obviously pinned above it as an "announcement" in purple.

Ill stun the killer 4 times in a regular game, but getting 4 kills in the basement is all circumstance. Maybe its different on Xbox than PS4/PC/Switch (i hope to god someone on this ######### is playing on switch lol) but survivors are just super toxic. And no one has said it but yeah i know, de rank. But it shouldn't have to be like that, ive already thrown so many games as a survivor doing dumb challenges now i got to throw games as killer to get into a low enough rank where theyre not going to insta DC (or more commonly DC right before their 3rd hook, that's what really has me pissed like i did it. Give me that.)
MY hope tho is the devs will also have the same thing happen to them, realize it sucks and change it. Its not about the challenge of it, in fact more often then not if you get 2 people in the basement the games over. Its about being robbed every other game.
And people hella pretentious too, i already got my charm, im trying to get my shards or whatever so that i can then give my money to these people for the pass. That and the lore
i do understand your frustration in this, however what you are describing here is not the challenge being too hard, but rather the players you play against being douchebags.
thats has nothing to do with the challenges being too hard and its nothing the devs can just change.
-
alright, here you go ^^
i hope you liked one or two of them ^^
here the names of the Cosmetics that were used:
Trapper (1):

- Glowing Vigil
- Fury Waist Wrap
- Marked Bloodlust Axe
Hillbilly:

Doctor:

Clown:

- Got Nothing In My Pockets
- Letter Opener
Spirit:
- Chic Headband
- Seifuku (Striped)
- Sunken Katana
-
they already nerfed them.
here, thats how level 4 used to look at first:
imo they are in a good spot right now.
most of them are extremely easy, the only ones i think would be tough are the "kill all 4 in the basement" and "hook 5 ppl in the basement with agitation" for killers and "complete 4 gens with dark sense" and "pallet stun the killer 4 times", though they are far from impossible.
tbh, i wouldnt like them to be obtainable for free. its the final level, they should be hard to achieve - at least some of them.
-
when someone fails a skillcheck on a generator / hits a "good" ruin skillcheck, everyone on the generator will be unable to gain any progress on itr for as long as there are sparks flying out of it.
when they stop and look at you, they basically just avoid getting additional skillchecks that may end up regressing the gen even more.
so no.
them stopping to work on the gen is actually the smart move.
-
id do what i'm currently doing:
have 1 survivor maxed out and then level all the killers to maximum level.
i'd start with Trapper, since he is my main after all.
-

Legion is bad but fun to play imo.

Megs don't really run the Killer around these days... for some reason.
And Jakes sadly don't sabo the hooks anymore, big sad...
yeah, stereotypes have changed a LOT these days...
ever since players started unlocking teachables on their characters, the survivors all lost their individual playstyles and with that their stereotypes.
today everyone has Sprint Burst / Adrenaline on any Survivor, though back then, that was only Megs thing.
just like everyone has Selfcare or Saboteur now...
its a little sad when i think about how it was back then... you knew exactly what playstyle was gonna be played by each survivor, since, if they were a Meg they'd run you around, Claudettes woule be healers, jakes would be camped and dwights... well...
they all were unique characters, not just reskins of the exact same survivor...

Basement Trapper
Iridescent Stone, Stitched Bag
Ruin, Iron Grasp, Agitation, Territorial Imperative
Traps all around the 3 gens closest to the basement and around your ruin.
The survivors will take care of the rest, :)
just get a Tar Bottle and trap all 3 entrances to the killer shack.
thats just as good xD
-
try basement Trapper.
he is just as good, if not even better, as Bubba is.
-
monstrous shrine needs a rework, so does insidious.
maybe insidious should make you immune to aura reading? and maybe add an unstackable TR reduction on top ot it... that'd make the perk a lot better imo.
i dont really have any ideas for monstrous shrine right now...
-
yeah, secondary objectives for survivors would be nice.
if they just focus on those engines, there is very little you as a killer can actually do against it, since even when you get chases done very quickly, you just wont have enough time to apply enough map pressure on them.
-
Legion.
like...
its just so stale and boring gameplay that not only the survivors will leave the round frustrated...

I wouldn't be too worried about it honestly - the only time it'll hurt is if you use it when no survivor is in your terror radius. Once you do hit someone you're in a chase and therefore don't need it. chase takes the 30-1:30 to end and cd is up by the time you finish hooking and walk away a bit. Mix in with another information perk (bbq tremors) and hit the area the survivor was in as soon as you're in range and maybe hit someone else who was on the way to the hook.
The only downside is people may use lockers more often against doctor since you only have to miss once rather than there's no point in hiding since you'll go mad regardless...Iron Maiden becoming a true meta?
honestly, imo it should be made in a way that reduces the overall timer (lets say base timer is 15 seconds of recharge), but increase the recharge time with each survivor you hit, up to 60 seconds with 3 (or more) hit survivors.
but as ive said, we'll have to test it out before making any conclusions.
-
d... did i just hear "meme"?
basically, these memes originate from the survivors stereotypes from way back in the day.
though, only 2 of the 4 survivors actually managed to get their stereotypes into memes, as "running the killer around" (Meg) and "Sabotaging" (Jake) arent really that uncommon / not character specific at all, so they never acquired this status.
basically, back in the day, Claudette was the medic, though the "blendette" meme originates from her, at the time even harder to see, playmodel - she could literally crouch down whereever she wanted and as long as there was some tall grass, she'd be gone. this is very specific to this one survivor, so no one else was ever able to get this meme status but her.
for Dwight, he never really had a stereotype. he was always this useless dude sitting in a locker, letting the team work while he had leader active. that's the origin of the "dwight loves lockers" meme. and lets be honest, when we pull someone out of a locker, it is at least a 65% chance that its a Dwight. even if you had no Dwight ingame, now you have one.
-
the only think i'm really concerned about would be the 60 second cooldown tbh.
lets see how it plays out.
-
i originally did play for tiers, though i only really did the challenges and then couldnt play for over a week, so im behind rn :c

For overrated, self care. You end up taking so long to heal that nothing gets done. If you have two or three people doing this in a match, you're in for one wicked long game.
Underrated, Solidarity. Toss that bad boy on with We'll Make It and you can unhook someone, heal them, and then get healed yourself all in a little over 16 seconds.
imagine selfcaring with sloppy butcher on xD
-
overrated?
Ruin.
we just annihilated a Freddy with Ruin (Ruin went down after NOED btw).
against good players, the perk is literally useless.
underrated?
plunderers instinct.
i mean... you like keys? you like this perk.
-
i was too scared to play survivor, so i became a killermain xD
the same thing happened yet again when doc first dropped xDD (i remember swearing to myself that i would never ever play survivor again, since these faces popping up on your screen when you enter madness would be too scary lol)
i was a different person back then...
-
honestly, the second one.
i just think that of all 4 survivors play together perfectly, they will beat any killer that comes their way (with exception of a godlike nurse maybe).
luckily for us, pretty much no one can play that way, so we're safe atm.
-
imo there are two different versions of it:
1) getting your hand up, touching the hook and back down repeadetly means "camper!"
2) slightly waving oyur hands up and down (not touching the hook) means "hurry tf up and save me!!"
-
done with all the challenges.
rift level 50 i believe
-
yeah, when he comes out of a partal he makes quite a lot of noise while doing so.
on top of that his footsteps are immensly loud, so undetectable isnt doing much for you.
i wouldnt mind if they'd rework some aspects of the portals tbh. and the add ons. he needs more "quicker recovery from missed shred attacks" add ons, or just add ons in general that affect his shred.

We know that is the party line. If it was truly a bug it should have been fixed during the PTB or on release, NOT a week after official release when most people had already purchased him.
The changes are not minor. He is now extremely easy to dodge. Even if it was a "bug" it made him strong with a high skill cap. Maybe they should have left the "bug."
The changes they make defy comprehension more often than not.
okay, here's the other solution to this:
just delay the entire chapter release until the bug is fixed.
there you go. people wont start complaining about them "killing the character" or "scamming them", etc.
just wait a week or two longer until the chapter drops, its as easy as that.
would you like that?
or would you rather be able to obtain the content asap, even if there might be a known bug or two?
-
@PistolTimb said:
Moris have always been that way. It's the same reason why you're guaranteed to black pip if you run tombstone Myers.

just so you know:
the flick was unintentional, which was stated from the very first second he hit live servers.
they merely fixed a bug.
btw, you can still get 90 degree flicks with him. you just wont be able to get 180 degree flicks with him anymore (which honestly was stupid anyway).
such a minor thing is also not gonna "kill" him. that is, yet again, pure overreaction by the community.

i was unable to play for over a week, so im pretty far behind :(
