You just made a tru3 thread before this but it got removed.
You can find the video yourself (can't put it here or they remove my comment) and see how he says it is a bug that is stupid, than he is a fog whisper and is supossed to know all the news, since he plays like everyday..
So just asking cause a killer said he was going to get me banned for "abusing a bug"........
They're not targeting any specific side with removing tech though, if something isn't intended and they don't like it then it's gonna be patched out. Just how it is.

sad how they removed the old hook tech made unhooking against a facecamper easy as #########
I'd rather the hook remain one of the most 'threatening' (air quotes because of the current hook rush/BT Farming I'm seeing) places in the game, particularly after they turned Killer Shack Basement spawns from "Oh my God, I may actually die/have my BT negated due to stair blocking" into a "Vacation Station (out the window, see ya!)."
I see - So the quote that literally says "I don't know if it's intended, but it's in the game," is what you use to fuel your confirmation bias.
Realistically, if you want to assume that the devs literally programmed the game in such a way that you can partially unhook, run through the hooked survivor through magic collision loss, and then unhook for free, you do you.
Additionally, once this becomes widespread and killers can't "hit the unhooker" during poor rescue attempts, scummy play will intensify.

Umm huh? what do you mean with "fuel your bias" I just was asking if it is bannable and intended, that's all.
You said it is a exploit but someone already said it isn't (a mod) and im letting you know..
And we dont balance around real world physics, or then why can a killer magically block a window?
Unless I'm missing something this new one seems to not have much counterplay other than sitting there basically facecamping for a minute.
Also @Raccoon you're talking about the wrong tech.
It has, you can fake it out, like you can fake going of the hook and then comeback and hit the unhooker or try to make it seem you are going to hook the guy and then drop it and go for the other surv.
Still I wouldn't mind that this one go and the other one comebacks.
If it was an exploit it would greatly help 1 side over the other, this would not be an exploit as you can still hit the survivor while they are doing it, in fact bubba can down them with his chainsaw

Yeah, this guy seems to be confused about what a exploit is..
In video games, an exploit is the use of a bug or glitches, game system, rates, hit boxes, speed or level design etc. by a player to their advantage in a manner not intended by the game's designers.[1] Exploits have been classified as a form of cheating; however, the precise determination of what is or is not considered an exploit can be controversial. This debate stems from a number of factors but typically involves the argument that the issues are part of the game and require no changes or external programs to take advantage of them.[2]
" by a player to their advantage in a manner not intended by the game's designers."
@MandyTalk already said it is intended, so it isn't a exploit.

Same difference - Unhealthy is unhealthy.
It just blows my mind that people that advocate/approve of unhealthy stuff like this are the same people you'll see in the same old tired balance discussions that go nowhere, for obvious reasons.
@NMCKE Mandy literally just stated what is publicly known. I doubt she has any further knowledge on what's going to happen to it in the future, as she is just a mod - Currently, it would not be bannable due to everyone and their mother knowing about it, no dev announcement, etc.
If it's going to be removed, it will just be patched out at a later date (RIP ORMOND TRACTOR, NEVER 4GET).
If it was an exploit it would greatly help 1 side over the other, this would not be an exploit as you can still hit the survivor while they are doing it, in fact bubba can down them with his chainsaw
He actually can't if they're positioned correctly. I took a clip of it earlier I'll upload.
Edit: Aw crap nvm no I didn't, I thought I did. Basically someone did it to me as Bubba and avoided the entire chainsaw duration by doing it behind the hooked person. I think the hooked person even counted as a wall and stunned me too which is strange.

Then I am mistaken on that end as I don’t often play bubba, but all directions can be hit and faking out can cause the unhooked to fail
this is extremely far from an exploit as when survivors do it it results in them just killing the unhooked survivor, believe me this is worse than old unhook tech that actually was inconsistent
I don’t use this tech for that very reason I just unhook as intended

In your own words, you stated "it is like a shield!"
I sincerely doubt that the devs intended that you can use this to apparently tank any hit.
@ASpazNamedSteve literally has video evidence of this being the case, even against 1 hit downs, apparently.
It's nice that this topic has brought all of this to light, and, most likely, to the devs' attention :)
the best thing is, they cant even complain about you doing it!
like, you are merely defending your hook at that point, they are the sole reason you're still there. all they need to do to stop this "facecamp" is to leave the safety of their hooked buddies hitbox...

It's intended.
Hmm, I see.
A killer told me he was going to get me perma banned for "abusing the bug"
I wouldn't sweat it. Just a salty killer being salty.
It didn't actually happen, this is a thread about tru3.
Definitely not intended, but it's not bannable or anything no.
Mhm, yeah? just scared cause since he's a "fog whisper and" he knows a lot I though I was going to get banned.
Are you in exact same computer I am to know if it is fake or not? Stop.
Srsly? lol than they should remove the tractor tech for killers as well.
...what? I never said remove anything.
The tractor tech is one of the first techs in DBD ever that actually IS intended for once. Was in the patch notes in the Oni patch.
Hmm, I see but they keep removing every survivor tech and dont touch the killers, they removed the window tech, now the hook tech is unintended...
But I remember someone saying that Peanits said it was intended..
@Peanits
The window tech is still in the game bud. And it's the strongest it's ever been, as killers now lose collision in a certain point in their vault.
You can find the video yourself (can't put it here or they remove my comment) and see how he says it is a bug that is stupid, than he is a fog whisper and is supossed to know all the news, since he plays like everyday..

Im not talking about that tech, there was other tech where you could fast vault (i think that's what it did)
Oh, well idk about that one.
They're not targeting any specific side with removing tech though, if something isn't intended and they don't like it then it's gonna be patched out. Just how it is.
I see, well i'll wait to see what Peanits says.
It's an unintended exploit.

No it's not bannable in the slightest - as a killer you can hit them immediately afterwards.
As to whether it was fully intended shrug but it's here now.
Harvester Tech was officially recognised in the Oni patch and I don't believe that was fully intended either.
Nope.
Thank you!
I think this one is way better than the old one, it's like a shield that protect you! but you need to need to be fast.

When this "shield that protects you!" is rightly patched out of the game, I'll be here :)
Eh, I think the old one was healthier.
Unless I'm missing something this new one seems to not have much counterplay other than sitting there basically facecamping for a minute.

Mandy, I want to clarify with something because I'm genuinely confused now that you mentioned that. 😕
If you use something that isn't intended but it has counterplay, is that bannable?
You can counter it by faking going of the hook and then comeback and boom you have 2 people down..
Hey, that's a good question
If it was an exploit it would greatly help 1 side over the other, this would not be an exploit as you can still hit the survivor while they are doing it, in fact bubba can down them with his chainsaw
Yeah, this guy seems to be confused about what a exploit is..

Can you link this? Ild like to watch it
Watch what? I can link the tru3 video for you.
i see it more as a possible 2 man facecamp situation ^^
especially with oneshot killers xD
@laurelstroodle Let's not lie now lol, she did not say it was intended.
But like all new tech it's not bannable ofc, that'd be really silly.

Exactly bud!! XD
"As to whether it was fully intended shrug but it's here now."
???
AKA 'I don't know'. In what world does what she said mean 'yes it is intended'?
@Raccoon Also no I don't have it clipped, thought I did :(
I'd be up for testing this in a KYF though out of curiosity.
Yeah? it can be countered and I have countered it a looot of time, with chainsaw's killer, faking out leaving the hook etc..
And yup, I want a DEV to confirm if it is intended or not, still I believe in @MandyTalk
Well, all we can do is wait for @Peanits
Yeah, people misconstruing the words of Devs/Mods is beyond frustrating @_@
I really don't think it matters whether it's intended or not.
All that matters is if people like the mechanic and want it to stay, along with what the devs want.
Look at peanits comment.
So no it's not intended, but also they are fine with it as of right now.
Seems pretty cleared up to me until they say anything different.
the best thing is, they cant even complain about you doing it!
like, you are merely defending your hook at that point, they are the sole reason you're still there. all they need to do to stop this "facecamp" is to leave the safety of their hooked buddies hitbox...
leading to their demise, of course xD
Not intended but low priority problem. Still bloody annoying and dumb, just like the window "tech".
