Throw the pallet down early.
-
Nurse is unsatisfying to play imo.
-
Yes, they should keep it this way.
-
Yep, I remember when the forum first started. A lot more veteran killer mains back then. Many of them are gone now.
Can't say that I blame them.

Tape a cross hair on your tv/monitor
Better yet, use stickers. That's what I use. Now I can actually play Huntress.
-
Having to wait through fatigue and a cooldown is too much. Makes Nurse very boring to play.
-
Depends on the killer.
BBQ is good on killers like Billy.
TT is good on killers like Freddy.

Enable your crosshairs like all other Huntresses and aim above the head and in front and behind them when you anticipate their moves or after they have vaulted to disable their defenses. Once you git gud, you'll be an unstoppable beast that only a polished SWF will give you any trouble. If you hate the survivors in your lobby, use some of her OP addons to guarantee your victory. She's immune to nerfs because she's a dev's favorite so you can enjoy her for the life of the game.
LOL
This is actually somewhat true.
-
Put a crosshair on your monitor.

I gave a counter: Set up an area, and defend it. They will have to come up with them.
Your response: It doesn't matter, tactics dont matter against a good team.
My new response: Tactics give you a better shot at winning than you would normally. So set up an area you do not want to lose. Play dirty. If they will have no mercy, why should you?
I've played this game long enough to know what is and what isn't possible. If you play against good survivors with Legion on a big map (or any map really), you're done.
If you get a small map, then you can have some control over the flow of the game. But even still, the survivors will ultimately toy with you until the gens are done.
There is no playing dirty against good survivors. They know all the tricks in the book.
-
Hag. Because I know from experience that the first survivor caught is getting camped.
-
Probably body blocking someone and keeping them trapped where they can't move. In other words, taking the game hostage.

Yeah cause we have old map size, we dont have new killers that have a lot of map pressure, pallet vacuum is still in game, new killer perks didn't come out which are good against SWF, we dont have a penalty for 2 people or more repairing on the same gen, we still have double pallets in game....
Sure.
I guess you missed the most important lesson from the depip squad. Survivors that stay spread out and do gens can destroy most killer setups.
And I haven't seen any evidence that suggests otherwise (at least yet).
-
Have you ever seen what Marth's depip squad did to killers?
Now that was something.
-
I used to be a Nurse main. But then the devs nerfed her.

You are not doomed with a larger map. Just know what gens to give up for more success later!
If the survivors are good, you are definitely doomed. But that's how it is with other killers as well.
-
Sounds okay to me. I would probably cap the aura reading range at around 60 meters though.
-
Legion tends to get gen rushed pretty hard. So, I recommend a heavy slowdown build:
Corrupt Intervention
Pop Goes The Weasel
Thanatophobia
Discordance (survivors like to group up and do gens)
Don't forget to use Defaced Smiley Pen for the mangled staus effect (60 secs). Filthy Blade is also decent.
Basically, you want to slowdown survivors as much as possible.
If the map chosen is smaller, you can actually be somewhat succesful with Legion. Of course, if the map is large then you're doomed.

Both of these are excellent perks. Only 3 survivors in a group need to run it, though. Not four. As long as three people have it, everyone will benefit from it.
I like Spine Chill because I often don't pay much attention to my surroundings as much as I should.
True, you only need three people to use Kindred. That said, I generally think it's a good idea to encourage all survivors to use the perk. That way you reduce the number of situations where people don't run the perk because they assume others will. Better to have 4 Kindreds than only one or two.
-
This forum has always been relatively balanced in terms of the number of survivor and killer mains. The Steam forum is killer-sided tho.
-
OoO + Sole Survivor + Left Behind + any other perk of your choice + key = Ez escape every match
-
Nah, Huntress is a very good killer. Play against a skilled Huntress and you'll find out very quick lol.

Pretty sure that is just an anime character, not a hentai character.
Really? Could have fooled me.
-
Can someone explain to me why this guy has a hentai character on his stream lol? First thing I noticed when the game play started.
Aside from that distraction, yeah the video shows how bad SWF teams can be. Luckily, these guys were too busy buzzing around the killer instead of doing gens.
Just goes to show you where the real power role lies. But hey, Nurse and Spirit definitely needed those nerfs asap.
-
Bring back old Nurse.

He needs something for mobility too. Maybe a tricycle that moves close to billys chainsaw speed....
That would be hilarious.

Some of the rift challenges. I'm somewhat of a completionist by nature, and a few of the challenges really drive me up a wall.

You realize that half the female killers are essentially living corpses, right? : /
I don't have to use the perk.

You go in expected Julie, only to find out its Hag instead...
Hag would not be my first choice. Also, I don't have to use the perk. If the killer is Hag, I can choose to die instead.
-
Mister Holdout's unique survivor perk: Lady Killer
Perk description: Your irresistible charm overpowers all female killers. During the trial, if the killer is female, you gain the ability to romance the killer. Only one romance per trial.
Additional Info: Lady Killer is a perk for male survivors only. If more than one male survivor has the perk, then the first survivor to romance the killer gets her all to himself.
If I'm going to be stuck in a trial, then I'm going to have some fun while I'm there. The other survivors can escape while I keep Julie busy.
-
@SenzuDuck That was very kind and generous of you :)
-
I would very much enjoy being stuck in a trial with Julie.
-
Oni is the strongest among the three. His power is actually pretty damn good if used properly. You can win matches very quickly with Infectious Fright.
Deathslinger is also a ton of fun. Shooting survivors with a harpoon gun is quite satisfying. I actually think Deathslinger is a pretty decent killer when played well. Just be aware that survivors can juke your shots rather easily. You'll definitely have to practice him a lot before you become proficient.
Demo is a decent killer as well, but not as satisfying as the others.
If you only care about strength, go with Oni. If you want a killer that will give you room to grow and improve yourself, choose Deathslinger.
-
No, still survivor-sided.

then i assume you wouldnt mind all the bs addons getting reworked then :) your bias is showing heavily
What bias lol. The maps are still survivor-sided. And I never said anything about killer add-ons. Frankily, I do believe some of them could be toned down.

Your argument isn't that killers are underpowered, it's that optimal survivors will always beat most killer setups.
To clarify, I'm using those two phrases interchangeably. I don't like using the same language everytime.

It's hard to explain opinions :/
Except there's a lot of evidence backing up my claims lol. Show me some compelling evidence that suggests killers aren't underpowered. I'll wait XD

No one experiences everything, they only experience what they experience. Your attitude is unhealthy.
If there was some special technique for beating optimal survivors, someone would have discovered it by now. But there isn't. Many of the players with thousands of hours will tell you survivors are still generally stronger than killers. I don't know how to explain it any simpler.
-

Being a veteran doesn't make you skilled, why do you think prodigies exist?
Being a veteran player means we know what we're talking about because we've experienced everything lol.
There are no prodigies in DbD. You might be able to learn faster than others, but there's only so much you can do (as killer).
-
@Waffleyumboy said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1265170#Comment_1265170
Or maybe just you personally can't beat optimal survivors?
Wow, you must be so good at killer.
Guess all the veteran players with thousands of hours are just wrong then lol.
-
They didn't even remove all the god windows lmao.

"I would hate to see BHVR address the problems on both sides."
Fixed your statement for you. Now it more blatantly exposes your bias so less people are confused :)
I am one of the least biased people on this forum. I play both killer and survivor at rank 1 (and have done so for a long time). I've experienced pretty much everything this game has to offer.
And through my experience, I've basically nailed down all the balance problems. One of the main balance issues with DbD is that optimal survivors still hold an advantage over most killer setups. Sorry if that reality is disappointing to you.
-
Some of the maps defintely feel better, but there is still a lot of work to be done before killers are on par with survivors.
A number of the maps are downright awful.
That said, I hope the devs continue to make the maps more killer friendly. I would hate to see BHVR go down another dark road.

Never gonna.
Way too much BP spent for bloody clothes that i'll never wear on characters i'll barely play.
It feels really good maxing out all your characters though.

:)
-
Legion will not do well against good survivors. Let's leave it at that.
-
I love playing with SWF teams because in many cases they make the game much easier. I don't have to put in nearly as much work.
-
Slugging would probably be better.

None of the survivors bother me.
On the killer side, defintely Hag. By far the most boring killer in the game.
