This is also a fair point.
With perk balance, they have to consider all possibilities (sometimes they miss the mark, but they tend to fix things eventually), Nurse is one of the hugest reasons why a lot of perks are weaker than they should be, I think there is one huge category of perks that get thier effects reduced solely because of Nurse... Aura Reading and Exposed.
One of the hugest counterplays to Nurse is unpredictability and breaking line of sight. Aura Reading perks complete remove these as options for the survivor. There is a reason why Ive seen a lot of Nurses using perks like H: Retribution or SH: Floods of Rage; because they are insanely good on Nurse, they allow the Nurse to get a hit in a situation where otherwise they wouldnt. But perks such as these held back just because of the entire mechanical design behind Nurse.
Exposed is another, since Nurse's swings count as a basic attack, they are able to get value from exposed perks. This one is kind of a no brainer as to how this is an issue. You have a killer with insanely quick chases with the ability to insta-down a survivor, this is of course considering that your pairing it with Aura Reading perks as well. Perks like Starstruck (paired with Agitation) are absolute powerhouse perks, but a perk like Starstruck on it's own can have varying strengths depending on the killer, but most basic killers dont get as insane of value as Nurse gets with it.
Of course combining the two you still have the insane combo of H: Haunted Grounds, H: Undying, and H: Retribution, the thing that ive seen Nurses use to 4K at 5 gens all because of a single cleanse of H: Haunted Grounds, but suggesting the Nurse messed up or got unlucky they still have another opportunity to proc the effect... But Im just going to assume people are going to sweep that under the rug just as fast as Nurses sweep survivors into the Entity's grasp.
TLDR.
Haunted ground as nurse? Is this 100 MMR meta?
I can tell you haven’t played at high MMR, if you use that survivors would laugh at you because lockers exist.
The same survivors at high MMR who disappear for the entire corruption intervention duration and then magically appear when it’s finished.

Yep! Chases against her are very inconsistent and good to god nurses will end up picking up a survivor's tactics.
Which is why as a survivor you learn to be unpredictable, the potato hold W survivors never change and then they die and come straight to this forum to cry about nurse.

As long as Nurse has the ability to ignore every game mechanic, she will still be the strongest killer, this would just make her more tedious and less fun to play as.
Also making blink hits count as special attacks would just encourage people to run slowdown perks instead.
Again this crap comment.
She doesn’t ignore every game mechanic. 🤡
-
They look like crap.
-
Notice how when you watch a survivor streamer who is actually good they turn nurses into absolute clowns? These survivors should watch them.

Yeap. That's normally how it works, sadly. People must want to loop pig all day mostly.
No Pig actually can do stuff on loops with ambush, they rather go against a trapper.
-
Onyro is still stronger than Dredge for this reason.
-
I'm enjoying it as basement Bubba!
-
Yeah that's what happens when there is a big patch, happens with world of warcraft too, game is still leaking players.
-
Starting to enjoy hook camping bubba in this event.
Thanks for the flans!
-
I've started using Bubba in this event and just camping a hook, feels really good seeing the end game chat.
More games like this please.

When even the best of players can only last on average about 40 seconds with all the tools meant for 4 people at their disposal, yeah theres something wrong. Especially with the perk overhaul coming up shes gonna need a touch down
Any proof to back up your claims as a nurse in comp games only manages 2k's and 1k's and that's with the survivors limiting what perks they can use.
And on the BHVr killer stats, she's the lowest played killer with the lowest kill rate.
Thanks.

Nurse mains will come here to defend her, ignore them.
Youre absolutely right, nurse needs a rework. If they make solo survivor even more miserable with all the changes, and nurse gets a pass, that’s when I will stop supporting BHVR.
low mmr survivor mains will come here to claim she's OP ignore them.
-
It doesn't spite you at all.
-
Nope, I don't see any worth in using it in solo play.
It's stronger as a SWF.

Im only a couple hours in on survivor. Im not burnin another single cake. Ive been lookin forward to the event for weeks and its so bad that i dont even wanna play now. Every damn match has been killers hard tunneling off hook. This is stupid.
Every game I've had as killer (I've not played DBD for two weeks) is survivors popping two generators in my face whilst I'm in my first chase and then dead hard saving them and then another generator popping so unfortunately that guy is being tunnelled.

Just a friendly reminder that this is your reward for using your cakes. USE THEM!
I hope DBD Devs choose to make them expire so that people will stop being annoying about it.
I'd rather let them expire than benefit someone else.
-
No thanks, I'd rather not give someone bonus points for playing scummy.
Happily hoarding all my cakes.
-
Because games are meant to be fun, this isn't a big competitive game it's meant to be horror.
Key word being HORROR.
-
Playing AS hag isn't very fun especially when you play a SWF.

Imagine thinking you can use a pallet against Nurse. LOL
You have obviously never played against a Nurse seeing as you think pallets are a counter to her power.
I didn't say it's a counter, there's a time and place to use them but obviously a low experienced mmr survivor like yourself wont know that. ;)

Thanks, I needed a laugh
Won't help you to get good at the game. ;)
-
I don’t really see any point in locking a locker that’s time you could be doing a generator.
-
Bubba and Pinhead are literally the strongest licensed killers.
BHVR even released a data sheet for the killers and Pinhead is up there with a massive kill ratio.
I think it’s due to how the chains can sometimes screw a survivor up in a chase and then someone has to stop doing a generator or healing to go do the box.
-
Survivors any day.
A good team even against Nurse will trash her, she needs the double blink to even stand a chance vs them.
In a recent tournament she was at the bottom of the rooster for kills.
-
@Sluzzy said:
The imbalance occurs when the killer has unlimited uses of these perks when survivors have no way to counterplay them. Distortion is the closest thing but it is extremely limited to a tiny amount of finite uses.
Killers are way too overpowered to have so many aura perks in a hide and seek game with virtually no activation requirements. Hooking survivors are inevitable. These benefits need to be toned down to reasonable levels.
Survivors are not massively rewarded for completing a gen.
That’s funny this “hide and seek” game you mention.
Survivors only play hide and seek at low MMR when they are scared, hide and seek doesn’t exist at high MMR because survivors know they can abuse loops, get hit, save dead hard and when they lose a loop they’ve got dead hard to get them to another loop.
At my MMR i get swarms of survivors running at me and due to that starstruck has become a permanent perk for me because of that.
-
@brokedownpalace said:
Yeah that's the result of a character designed to break the rules of its own game.
Not breaking any rules. She was designed to phase through terrain. You can still use normal tactics just not brain dead pallet loops.
-
"Useless Killer".
-
As a killer you have to waste like 1 to 2 minutes smashing breakable walls if you don't want the survivors to keep getting free escapes on vaults on this map.
Main building, shack, the long loop near the bottom and one breakable wall at the top mini loop.
-
What the hell is this thread, waste of bandwidth.

If you want the game balanced around the extreme of Nurse, then the game also needs to be balanced around the extreme of comp SWF.
Fair is fair after all.
Even Nurse gets wrecked in "comp" DBD with her best addons/perks.

No, it's understanding balance in a game. SWF have little advantage when compared to how much of the game Nurse ignores.
It doesn't take a genius to know this.
The nurse does NOT ignore anything.
Her ability is based on phasing, you can still use pallets, you can still use the line of sight, skill hard etc.
Skilled survivors know how to use the above things and the time and place of when to use them for example when she blinks and she's about to swing after you've double-backed over a pallet loop and you throw the pallet on the swing, not the block.
Sounds like a user error problem.
-
Going to add anything constructive to the OP's thread? Or just ranting?

Because the Nurse and Blight are able to pretty much be anywhere on small maps. Survivors have to be able to complete gens against killers as oppressive as Nurse and Blight, which means gen speeds have to be taken into account for killers as broken as Nurse and as stupidly powerful as Blight.
"Oppressive" aka anything which stands a chance against a SWF.
Survivor virtue calling code words.
-
Kek at all the survivors trying to pass the blame to the killer.
-
Nope it's a D tier killer.
-
TLDR needed, not reading that.
-
Something survivor mains do when you call them out.
-
Survivors complaining about oni now. XDDDDDDDDD
They won't be satisfied until the killers can only auto attack.
-
@Mozic said:
Movie logic! Why would a shipping palette stop them? Why is a flashbang grenade just as impactful as a flashlight to the face?
Mostly because the Entity wants it that way. Keep in mind that at the end of the day the killer is a scooby-doo villain whose job is to look a little bit like a fool scrambling to murder four slippery fish.
A flash-bang does a lot more than blind someone.
It has a chance of setting someone on fire and destroying their hearing depending on how close/if they were inside and of course damaging their sight.
-
Survivors complained because they couldn't use skill hard and balanced skilllanding against clown with this addon.
-
Hopefully when dead hard gets removed.
-
I can tell you don’t play high MMR then.
The stuff you mention is what low MMR survivors do. 🤔

@indieeden7 said:
It would be a good temporary fix, as other people say, her power just doesn't really fit in dbd anymore. But making it so that if a Nurse wants to use exposure perks, they have to use that one add-on that makes her a 4.6 m/s killer is a welcome change in my eyes.
Only survivor mains are saying that.
And their point is invalid.
No one else spews stuff like this.
PS: Nurse is fine, if survivors can play.
