Are we really gonna listen to the guy who has 0 grasp of game mechanics when it comes to understanding the game? NOED does a terrible job in giving the killer points and if a killer really relied on it to get a 2k he'd still only blackpip. Heck RUIN is MUCH better at giving killers gatekeeper if they suck at gencontrol while survivors suck at great skillchecks or don't find ruin in the first place which can also happen.

This new forum FORMAT IS TERRIBLE on mobile Holy #########. Aside from that if you didn't cleanse all totems then the killer obviously deserved that NOED since you wanted to get out as fast as possible

Fogwhispers depip becasue they dispise rank 1. No idea why you brought them up considering we are talking about the Legion. You still haven't told me the "huge" difference between rank 1 legion and a rank 7 one.

Also if you looped a Legion then that Legion was ######### terrible.

They despise r1 because r1 is MUCH harder on average than r6+. They want to entertain their viewers by bullying noobs which is seldom possible at r1.

How can that Legion be terrible if Legion takes no skill

What's the difference between those ranks when ranks don't mean that much in the first place?

Also Wraith and Freddy take more skill to play then Legion.

Can't take you seriously at all if you think ranks don't mean much yet you have fogwhisperers depipping on purpose. I looped a r7 Legion yesterday, he NEVER even got me with his power because I stunned him all the time when he used it. He Ever with 4 gens left. Tried to do adept Legion but probably thought just like you that it's gonna be easyyy.

If Legion took no skill then every game against every Legion would be the same

I think they rather play against Nurse because Nurse actually takes skill to play.

Every base mechanic in dbd takes very little skill to begin with. There's a huge difference between some r7 Legion and a r1 Legion which mainly boils down to understanding when to do what like on any killer. Playing Legion is no more brain dead than playing brute force Wraith or Freddy.

  • Ppl complain about no counterplay, yet prefer to face nurse. Touting what their favourite streamers are saying like sheep.

  • @Mc_Harty said:

If people don't like ######### mechanics they are not going to play against ######### mechanics.

Cool, should killers Start dcing optimized loopers ans coordinated swf then?

  • There's no reason for this game to not have a timelimit on endgame. Survivors opening the gates and exiting through them should not take more than 5 minutes and I'm being VERY generous here.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdMIUnCmlPE 1:49:00 I was a bit off on the details but they said they were reducing her speed within the hour and 49 minute mark.

5% movement speed loss for 15 seconds, wow totally worth it...NOT

  • @HatCreature said:

From what I've been hearing she's going to be a little weaker in the live update, I heard she'll be slower while having Corrupt Purge giving her Huntress speed. She'll be weaker at loops with this but it gives her more counterplay and makes Bamboozle and Brutal Strength really strong on her.

So this is the direction the devs are going. Ppl on PBT: she kinda needs a buff.

    Devs: let's nerf this shizzz

Where do you have that info from.

in the rare case they are all together in one spot and stay there so you can shoot them all, which pretty much NEVER happens unless the survivors are new and well, then they will learn.

By that logic Leatherface is OP as well because he can down all 4 survivors if they just nicely stay together in 1 place.

To all of you, how is currently the plague with the corrupt purge as is, better then just a huntress who does not even have to bother with going to a fountain after a survivor interacted with it?

Why not just play huntress and just down people instead of jumping through time consuming hoops to hopefully reach the same end result?

Im repeating myself here, but IF corrupt purge was an insta down it would actually be a thing to take into account as survivor, instead of just healing because why not?.

the insta down would still be on a timer, the insta down would still first have to be gotten by the killer which takes time and then they have to find someone while this is ticking away.

I mean honestly if you have a problem with this idea you must have a problem with the Huntress and with Haunted Grounds right?

LF cannot instadown multiple survivors that are just in the vincinity of each other, they'd have to be clumped up literally. If 2 or more survivors are within 13 metres of each other you can get multiple hits with corrupt purge.

  • @ZoneDymo said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/359818#Comment_359818

ah so you dont have an argument, just an empty statement then, very well.

I brought forth arguments as to why its not OP and as to why it would make for more engaging gameplay and you bring...nothing, great thanks.

I don't need arguments for a ranged easy to land instadown able to hit multiple survivors in 1 go to not be a good idea.

  • If you can't see how a oneshot corrupt purge would not be overpowered then nobody can help you here.

  • Hightier survivors already either don't heal at all or wait till they're fully broken. Low survivors would give the Plague instadown after instadown after instadown immediately upon being infected.

  • This would completely ######### over lowlevel survivors and non-SWF teams while it wouldn't hurt high-tier survivors and SWF at all.

As a Killer you can push them out. If you dont do it (and especially because of childish reasons), you are holding the game hostage as well.

A different thing would be a survivor sneaking around the Map to hold the game Hostage. Killer cannot really do anything about that.

I don't think you know what holding hostage means

  • @Bravo0413 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/359120#Comment_359120

So you're saying that if the survivor ######### up their punished for it? That actually sounds well designed to me!... my point is that Billy is fine... that no adjustment needs to be made simply because an inexperienced player is crying because another player was using a tactic to prevent the "gen rush" from happening..

You don't get punished nearly as hard on other killers, that's my point.

  • @Bravo0413 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/358544#Comment_358544

Only those who say Billy is OP are the ones who haven't played enough.... Billy is hard countered by looping......... if ya loop him he cant really use his chainsaw and hes forced to follow and M1..... and I'd say only those who are completely biased killer mains would say they dont want solo brought up towards SWF.... the majority of the community knows that solo needs help and QoL

Any killer is hardcountered by looping except for clown, spirit and Nurse. What's your point? Comparatively billy brings innate brutal strenght or an instadown if a survivor makes a mistake.

  • @The_Crusader said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/357220#Comment_357220

But again if it were that simple then no killer would take it because they would never get to use it, but the it seems like the majority do and that's because everyone knows it's an incredibly strong perk.

It's like when people use to say "Just eat the Decisive" but it wasn't so simple in reality.

It gets used because currently survivors will leave totems even if in an SWF.

  • Still, you can't actively dodge a chainsaw while he's on your ass revving it. It's all on him if he hits it, yeah you can make it more difficult but let's not talk like survivors are characters from the matrix with some magical dodge button able to tell when he's ACTUALLY gonna use that chainsaw. If I get 360'd it's usually a test of patience and reactiontime.

  • @The_Crusader said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/356784#Comment_356784

Yeah having him on top of a survivor 10 seconds into the game swinging one instadown attempt after another with barely any punishment is just boring. Especially when he's so common once you reach higher ranks.

I RARELY play him, I'm p3ing him atm but man is he dumb. Yeah I can't cut corners with his saw like Zubat but aside from Palletloops it's stupidly dumb to just try to saw and saw and saw survivors, heck even bloodlusting with him to get that saw is viable because you'll still save time over regular m1 killers. It's just dumb as heck. Mind you that was me trying him out at R1 while depipping on purpose with speedlimiter and I still got more than 6 downs on accident while derping around with speedlimiter and bronze sawing addons.

  • @Bongbingbing said:

I don't know. I feel like Billy is probably the most balanced killer we have. If you want to get rid of a Balanced killers OP add on then you also have to think about it the other way around and recognize that survivors also have OP add ons.

and the on top of that there's SWF which is a whole other situation.

Nerf looping in general, it's unintended anyways to have a single survivor be able to loop a single pallet for 3 times the planned duration. Once this is done the game will be much more balanced and a killer like billy walking up to you on one of those loops to instantly chainsaw you would be broken.

But we can only talk about this once the top killers get #########. you cannot think that the devs will balance the weaker killers up to billy/nurse level because there's no way by design to do that and also it'd be a TON more work. the recent killer design should show you that things like Billy/Nurse are not intended for DBD to even exist.

  • @ATOMIC_ACE_PUGG said:

Billy is fine honestly are you trying to kill off the killer population? It's already hard enough to find a match on high ranks especially when you play with friends. Nurse is the only op killer she ignores all gameplay mechanics and can have 5 blinks now that is op

Let's say they fixed the issues that keep the other killers from being viable at highranks like Loop-Hitboxes etc. How the ######### would you think that billy is remotely balanced compared to other killers.

-Insane Map presence on every map except Lery's

-Unlimited instadowns which can only be countered by loops.

-Able to mindgame pallet-abandonment by the survivors or punish them hard through a fast pallet break.

-Compared to leatherface with admittedly lots of practice able to instadown survivors on short loops.

    -115% ms

Heck he's even faster than LF while charging his chainsaw.

His only real downside is a 32m Terror Radius which is offset by his speed.

If you fixed looping acceleration of killers Billy would become INCREDIBLY broken instantly.

  • @Gorgonia said:

It’s alright. With the new emblem system those rank 1 Billys that slug and kill everyone before gen 1 will be back in rank 15 in a month xD

How you think this is positive baffles me. I plan on doing this btw just so I can play a game of whack a mole against survivors that have no way of beating me at all. Highrank killers stuck in lowrank is what you want? LUL. I currently depipped on purpose to rank 5 to see how it is. (the DC guy DCed on death-hook as you can see by the points)

Billy is the most balanced killer in the game. And if you put the most tryhard and sweaty swf survivors in a lobby with the most tryhard and sweaty billy: 1k-2k max, because survivors still rule this game and if they decide to rush the living ######### out of you they will do it and they will succeed. No matter what. Period.

Most balanced killer in the game. Literally outshines every killer in the game aside from nurse. If you think it's feasible for the devs to buff every other killer who are fundamentally are going to be weaker than billy then I have bad news for you.

  • Im a killer mwin that wants general buffs to killers which ATM is not feasible because of our lul we're fundamentally better at everything than other killers cases

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Billy should have some cooldown applied to his chainsaw, nothing too crazy but in its current state his only weakness is looping. He basicly has no downsides to balance his power out. They need to nerf Nurse and Billy so they can start proper balancing of their game for other killers as well.

    Remove the insta chainsaw addons.

Chainsaw has a power gauge similar to spirit.

    There, done.

I can't think of something for nurse right now besides not seing scratchmarks during and shortly after the teleport so you can actually juke her.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

I mean, of course, Legion Mains are the only people who say he requires Skill. I am a Survivor Main, I can also say that Survivor is way harder than Killer. But it is not true, the same goes for "Legion needs Skill to use".

Even without the exploits he is simply braindead. Furthermore, Legion really benefits from those Survivors who heal against them. This will be even worse with the Thanatophobia-Buff, I am really considering to DC instead of seeing people healing with Self Care for a Minute or whatever it will take.

It is sad that there is no real downside to his ability, of course there are more hits needed, but fhe first two are free. And if he is missing a hit, either because he is too dumb to hit M1 in the right moment or the Survivor is dodging the Hit, there is no penalty at all. Dodge a Legion hit 3 times? Ah, no worries, Number 4 will hit, no reward for you, Sir.

Last but not least - Deep Wound just looks horrible. I cant see ######### when the timer is low.

Do you understand what NO SKILL means?

    A good legion will:

-Apply pressure to your whole team and not just tunnel 1 person but try to surprise somebody who didn't think of him finding him during the mend because he saw him hitting another person. Doing this is really difficult as you have to find the first person, sure it's also luckbased but it takes getting into the mind of the survivor that you're trying to find too. This ofc as many things does not work against a well coordinated SWF.

-Know when to use his power during loops, a good legion will pressure you into using that pallet without getting stunned, stunning a legion with a pallet is essentially a won chase unless he uses enduring ofc.

-Know how much distance he can get with his power, is it worth getting your deep wound timer down or should I just try to m1 you? Can I reach you with 1/3rd of my bar or should I wait to 50%?

-Judge distance to the next loop/Pallet and accordingly either save up his power or bodyblock you or just m2 you.

If you think that some R15 legion who can barely track you after you vault that window and juke a bit is the same as an R1 legion then you're being delusional.

You mean NOED, billy and nurse?

If so I agree. Nerf these 3 things and it becomes much easier to justify buffs to all other killers. The problem they have right now is that all these killer buffs just results in noed billy and nurses becoming more OP. Especially at rank 1 where people know how to play these killers.

NOED does not need nerfs, the problem is that NOED works too well on Billy and Nurse which would be obsolete if you nerfed those guys and finally adjusted their power to the current DBD.

  • Borrowed Time giving you a ton of free escapes out of bad situations, selfcare being more effective at healing the entire team up once you hit more than 2 ppl while giving more safety than a lump of survivors healing each other, Adrenawin rendering m1 killers without NOED helpless in endgame and enabling the hard genrush.

  • While Moonwalk is anti fun I still don't think it's an issue, it takes a long time to take down a survivor with moonwalk. I mostly just look at the ground when playing legion after breaking a pallet if the survivor gets a ton of distance because of that pallet so I can m2 again (no franks) to down them.

There's a bit more to legion than just moonwalking every encounter, if you want to do that you'll lose against survivors who know what doing gens is.

Yeah, the killer should be able to see you because there isn't a TR canceling the perk. Just like a cloaked Wraith or crouched Pig.

OoS works on wraith/Crouched Pig? Feelsbadman I think it doesn't work on EW1 myers

  • @Raccoon said:

Can you counter Tinkerer with OoS and Spine Chill?

Yes, it just hides TR, I wouldn't consider OoS a counter tho since the killer basically can see you I BELIEVE (never encountered tinker with OoS)

  • @powerbats said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/346043#Comment_346043

Imagine if Rancor could be countered and the obsession couldn't be mori'd, if Tinkerer didn't remove your terror radius at 85%. Imagine if Bitter Murmur didn't show you where everyone was.

Imagine if well you get the ideas, there's some killer perks that're uncounterable but hey let's not let facts get in the way again. It's almost as if you can't already mori the person once they get off the hook, I mean imagine that you can permanently remove the survivor from the game.

Now imagine if killers actually did that and planned ahead like the good ones do now and how they already mori the DS user off the hook. Isn't it amazing how the good killers adapt and already mori anyone they think or know has DS.

The 2 perks you mentioned are literally easily counterable. Rancor gives you info where the killer is and that he has rancor. Bitter Murmur is countered by distortion.

Tinkerer proccs so late that it's only relevant on a billy, I've never seen it being used

  • @Orion said:

Peanits, IIRC, said that it's not primarily about the hitboxes, but rather the fact that survivors and killers accelerate at the same rate, and so it takes killers longer to reach their top speed. This is not to say that there isn't an issue, but the solution to this problem is quite clear: make it so both survivors and killers reach top speed at the same time. The math should be very easy to do.

I'd still be okay with the killerhitbox becoming smaller tho, the basement will probably become a deathtrap with basement builds now that DS is gone, survivors should at least be able to counter this with BT somewhat.

Also I think maps like The Game and Lerys need some way to indicate where survivors can find gens.

  • @DwikeyMain84 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/355354#Comment_355354

what if they could implement 5 gens for rank 10-20 and 6 gens for rank 1-9? @Orion

The skill disparity between R9 survivors and R1 expert survivors is ridiculously huge, we should work on reducing that skill limit to make optimal survivors have less of a drastic edge.

  • @Warlock_2020 said:

Good points. Though I would add that Trapper might benefit from a smaller hit box. I've seen survivors weave through the pallet even when the trap was well centered, but Trapper can't get close without hitting it. Smaller hit box might make him more able to continue the chase without being hindered by his own traps.

I also agree that the survivor hit boxes should not be increased. I can't tell you how many times I've completely stopped out of pure shock that a swing hit the survivor. I jokingly performed a quick swing at a survivor who was almost a pallet's distance away, because we were actually having a fun match and goofing off, and it hit! We both had a good laugh after the match, but come on!

Hitboxes, lets work on them and hold off on the next Meg outfit, eh?

That's even more of a reason to make killer hitboxes smaller.

That proves nothing and even marth said so himself because they were all low ranked in the match , they haven't gotten it rolling yet marth88 is my favorite YouTuber of DBD I regularly keep up with him, and even the depip squad makes mistakes nobody is perfect I'll guarantee there are people that can capitalize on mistakes and 4k then and you're naive if you believe he's unstoppable I've seen him die to low ranks while live streaming before , its not often but it does happen even to them

He dies to lowranks during his solo survivor session lol, pretty much everybody does because survivors at lowranks are absolute potatoes who won't do gens and are way to scared of the killer.

I am a ######### survivor yet I had LEGIONS on rank15 give up on me and never chase me or even hit me when I was right in their face because I wasted way to much time and they'd rather go after the others: Endresult was I still died after he bloodlusted me to death when I couldn't find the hatch (play without sound when surv mostly)

But you're wrong because survivors make mistakes nobody is a perfect survivor not ######### has really been proven since all the updates , a good killer can 3-4k every game at rank one if they keep gen control because gens spawn way closer together than they used to and it's almost braindead using the three gen strat now because anytime I'm in danger I fall back to that and theres nothing they can really do about it , it's a hatch game at that point if you're even half worth a ######### as a killer

When you dodge items, cosmetics, and survivors whom you don't even know are SWF but just seem like it to you that's what I mean , those people want to cry about balance but have you ever stopped to think they may not rank up as high if they played those games instead of dodging and then the game could better find a match more appropriate to their skill? How hard is that to understand

LOL, it's been proven again and again and again that you cannot win with regular killers if survivors go full tryhard mode and are not #########. If they want to tryhard that's fine, I'm not switching to nurse or billy just because they want a tryhard game, they can find another lobby. Maybe if the game was fundamentally balanced we could talk but right now there's no point. Well personally I ain't dodging because those ppl will DC against legion often times anyways but I can understand killers that do.
