  • DS is by far the most balanced survivor perk in the game. So in response to your request, no.

  • he shouldn't have a slower reel but he should have a wind up time like Huntress. There's no counter play to him right now because he can insta catch you. You have to throw pallets early and get LOS as best you can, but he can thread needles and shoot through many walls so it's really difficult.

He just needs a wind up and he'll be fine. I'd remove his Deep Wounds effect as well if they give him a wind up, since there'd be more counter play possible if he has it. Also he should not injure you if you manage to break out and stun him

So in short: Give him a wind up to shoot, remove his Deep Wounds effect, remove damage from breaking away and stunning him.

Imagine if we actually got Tony Todd to do voice work 🤤

Tony Todd already confirmed he's done voice work for two games, he just was not allowed to say what. Pair that with the fact he followed both DBD and BHVR the same day the new Candyman trailer dropped...I think it's all but confirmed he's gonna be a killer in DBD. It's not a question of if, it's a question of when.

Because Candyman movie was delayed till Fall, we might see Candyman moved to Chapter 17 and 16 could be another licensed killer. Who knows.

  • Crashing is not that common and is definitely something on your end. I understand how frustrating it can be, but you need to figure out what is causing it. Look into your crash code and figure it out. Obviously it's not on BHVR end or the forum would be full of complaints. I've had may be 2 crashes the entire time I've played the game, but if you're getting it so much you're getting penalized, it's unfortunately on your end to figure it out. Might be a GPU issue, CPU overheating issue, anything really. Just look into it.

  • As far as I know only Huntress has a laugh, before this new patch you would be lucky to hear it since it's toward the end of her audio file, but now that her music doesn't reset you can hear it in its full glory :)

  • He's very bugged right now but he can still aoe every one down within his chainsaw range, so you might've hit something else and not noticed it

Everyone's lunge is the same, this counts Freddys.

Maybe you were just playing against someone with bad connection thus resulting in worse latency.

You couldn't be more wrong and clearly have never played killer. Killer lunges are definitely not the same and some change depending on their states (See T3 Myers). Freddy has by far the farthest lunge right now. I would say it was okay before his buff, but it definitely needs looked at now that he's easily Top 5 killer even without the long arm lunge.

I've got an easy solution to the matchmaking, people being in the wrong rank, and depipping to a scummy killer.

No more depips, but only 2 pips available for 4 survivors. The two that perform the best get to rank up, the other two stay where they are. This will keep all ranks stocked, and make sure that only the best players make it to red ranks.

That promotes competition when it's supposed to be about teamwork. You would just have everyone rushing for actions to outdo one another, and that isn't teamwork, that's being selfish.

  • Decisive Strike is easily the most balanced survivor perk in the game. One of the most useless threads I've ever seen.

  • Tunneling is more the survivor's fault than a killer. There's so many ways to evade the killer, and if you make yourself easy enough to be found when I come back, I don't care about your non existent rule book. You will get killed. If I see someone else, I will go for them but yeah, learn to play better.

Try to play her. You will understand that instadowns is not a big deal

are you high? Her hatchets already ridiculously easy to hit, let's not even talk about the massive hitboxes she has now to work with. Iri head needs a range like Deathslinger...not even up for debate.

  • So you're asking for killers to have an even harder time than they already do? You do realize there's a real person playing the killer right, and that if survivors constantly get buffs and killers get shat on, this game will die. No one will queue killer. So yeah, no to your stupid ass idea, if anything hatches need to be nerfed not buffed. Personally they should have a cast time just like opening a gate. Not as long as a gate, but still needs one.

  • It's a decent idea as a Perk, maybe even just a replacement buff for Slippery Meat, but by no means something baseline. It's fine the way it is.

  • Nah, he's a country boy.

Adam is definitely gay though, most of his recent skins are a dead giveaway.

  • Needs to just be reworked to be the same as Deathslingers red addon so that you are rewarded for far hatchet throws

  • It's clearly a bug, he's got the old 2016 animation but the actual cast time is still the same. So it's just a visual bug. It's not actually slower, i've already compared to pre 3.7 VoDs. The sky isn't falling.

Just making a list of changes not in the patch notes so that everyone is aware.

Note: This does not include bugs that came with this patch.

    1) Huntress' entire Lullaby can now be heard instead of a small section.

    2) Survivor vault animations have been smoothed and no longer stutter causing the loss of momentum.

    3) Offering icons are much smaller on the Offering screen.

    4) Anti-aliasing is now forced. The Engine.ini file appears to no longer be editable.

    5) Breathing sounds seem to have been slightly amplified for both Killer and Survivor.

Please comment if you know more.

Huntress lullaby change is documented. The change is that her lullaby now pauses during a chase, and resumes when not in chase which allows the full lullaby to now play. Previously it would just reset whenever a chase started.

  • Just remove perk ranks, they are pointless and it's a product of the original system. Removing ranks solves the horrible grind issue. It makes things still have a grind, but it's not endless and overwhelming.

  • Truthfully it should just be a 4k that gives you the achievement. Survivors don't have to double pip to get theirs, they only have to escape. To me the equivalent for killer is a 4k

  • you can't accidentally m1 and mori. There's still a cast time, pay attention to it. The mori happens when the cast time ends. you can still cancel the cast. So if you "accidentally m1" and don't want the mori, just interrupt the cast time.

  • If I ever get a last second switcher, which isn't that common. I tunnel them and take them out of the game. No remorse from me. If they pull that, they deserve to have that experience.

  • it's either you play with mixed rankings or you wait in queue for 30+ minutes. Take your pick

  • Facecamping does cause depip, you lose points in emblems when staying around the hook too long. If you find a facecamper, do gens, get out. Killer gets 1 kill and 100% depips. The only person that loses is the survivor but that's 3 survivor wins versus a killer who depips.

Most facecamping killers don't care about pips anyway though, which is why I say just bite the bullet, do gens and leave. I really don't know how it can be "deterred" anymore than it already is.

  • NOED is an adrenaline counter. It's already balanced just fine. Cleanse totems or face the price. Stop being a whiney survivor main

  • Let's not acuse people of doing this when you have no proof. I do agree it's something that should be addressed but the hate toward content creators seems more out of jealousy than actual intent. Let devs figure it out, they are already aware of it.

  • It's a necessary casualty. Unfortunate, yes. But a random DC is a rarity and there's no real way for them to tell if a DC was intentional or not. They can tell when you click leave game (there's even an in game audio distinction when this happens) and I think that deserves a harsher penalty.

  • @B3llee said:

it wasnt like that, it was more like everyone was down and as soon as i went to snap out of it the killer chased me again, so it was a constant like either to snap out or to run which made the timer go down. but sure yeah "ill play better next time"

That is still a case of playing better next time. If you're in chase or running, you do not lose mend time. So there's literally no way you can fall to mend while snapping out of it UNLESS you try to hide and play poorly. Snapping out of it does not reset so you can literally be in a chase with Doc, and slowly snap out at each pallet. Since you're in a chase you'll never lose the mend timer. Eventually you'll snap out and have plenty of time to mend.

  • not even close to an infinite. Lawl

  • mori's and keys are already in influx as it is, so I suspect troll in this thread. BUT, I will say that mori's should be only useable on final hook and keys should have a small cast time like gates.

  • imagine complaining about something so minor that has no actual impact on the gameplay. You'll live bud

  • Only the animation has changed to his 2016 animation, which seems to be the bug. The actual cast time is the same. Already compared it on pre 3.7 VoDs, so while it may seem slower nothing has actually changed gameplay wise.

  • @Dr_Trauts said:

    just do gens. ez

Yes okay, good to see you actually read the thread. I said 3 people can just do gens, that's fine. But it's still an awful experience for the one survivor subjected to it. They should be able to play the game too.

  • Honestly the fix is pretty obvious and not hard to implement. Just add a debuff to the game when you utilize SWF. Just put a small tooltip when entering SWF that says something along the lines of "Playing Survive with Friends encounters an x% reduction to certain action speeds such as generator repairs and healing. The percentage increases by x for every survivor in the group. Bloodpoints for this mode are increased by 100%" It still encourages players to use it, but gives them a "hard mode" for doing so at an increased reward. Once this is implemented, they can work around it. It wouldn't deter SWF from doing so, cause if you wanna play with friends your gonna play with friends. You are challenged more to work together, and you get rewarded for doing so.

All of this works for both sides of the game, Killers have an actual fighting chance, don't have to play as toxic, and SWF actually get rewarded for playing a harder version of the game.

  • Ping is based on the server now not the killer. When you join the lobby, the ping you see is what you will get. Killer lagging will only affect the killer swings, not your reactions. So if a killer has bad ping, it benefits you more, not less.

  • Just add a debuff for SWF, problem solved.

I don't know why devs are so scared to touch SWF. If people wanna play with their friends their gonna do it. So why not add a "hard" mode debuff to balance it.

  • I have a perk for you friend called Stridor. Greatly increases your hearing for survivors breathing. This counters hiding little pipsqueak survivors. Doesn't stop closets, but you can always run Iron Maiden if you want intel regarding that...combo it with BBQ and chili, so they are forced to go in the locker to hide an aura, then they have to get out so that shows you they are there anyway.

  • I think about as close as it can be to being balanced right now. Sometimes latency can cause issues being broken out, and even issues trying to evade it from Ghostface perspective. Trust me I play both sides, sometimes as Ghostface I would be no where in sight and still get broken out, cause of latency. So basically it's an issue on both sides of the gameplay, not just survivor.

Having said that, I do still think it's as close as they can get it balance wise and it doesn't really break the game per se. Honestly though it should just be removed, the mechanic of breaking him out and make it a limited stalk like Mikey Myers. I think they only reason they didn't go that route, is beacuse he would just end up being the same killer.

  • @ice_Smuggla said:

Thier is still insta heal with syringe, just seen it yesterday being used, so whoever said it aint in the game no more lied to you. See this is what i'm talking about Ppl tell me i know nothing, but ive been playing this since it droped. I'm telling you on Ps4 the syringe is still being used to insta heal Ppl. I'll get video of it next time, and anybody who wants to see it, i'll show it to you.

Um no bud, it's been removed. It takes 16 seconds to heal with it now. Yes it's still in game, but it's no longer instant. You might've been going against a Zarina that used For the People which DOES instant heal a survivor one health state, at the cost of injuring her self and entering the broken status.

Clearly you don't know much about the game if you actually thought it's still in the game, but that's pretty much most the DBD community. Think they have half a clue when they don't.

  • or how to spell here XD

  • Adrenaline is fine, because it's really a one time use perk throughout the entirety of the game, just like DS. NOED is a pretty good counter too, so I don't think it's really a perk that should be changed
