  • Can confirm, I also did not receive the extra two levels on all characters. Some are missing it even though they qualified for it. Wesker for example is P1, and a lot of my survivors stayed at P1.

  • yes, the tears, feed me more. The years of unnecessary momentum changes from a single perk are over. Finally it's balanced for its true intention, to be anti tunnel. NOT anti-momentum

  • This is reasonable. Gen rush isn't really a thing imo, it's the lack of being able to regress the gens as a killer without some perks. Now that Undying/Ruin is nerfed to the ground, Ruin will basically be worthless and "gen rushing" will be back in the game. I do agree it's time to look into buffing the base regression of gens. It should not take 5 entire minutes to regress a gen when it takes less than 2 minutes to repair a gen as a player (solo of course) ...that just doesn't seem fair at all.

  • I can't tell you how long I laughed at this post....like I am not sure if it's a troll attempt or just a newer player, but either way, it gave me genuine laughter, so thank you for that.

Oni is completely fine, if your entire team is going down in a single use of Oni's power, than the problem lies within your team, not the Oni. Stop being bad, get better at the game, or find something else to play.

  • Sorry but DS isn't anti-tunnel. I hate this assumption. If DS were really an anti-tunnel perk, it would reset whenever a new survivor was hooked. DS is way stronger than it should be.

I would be so down. What I’m about to say is probably gonna offend someone but I liked the new one more than the original. I didn’t even know they were making another movie lol.

That's not really an offensive statement. A lot of people enjoyed Halloween (2018) ...my favorite about it was JC coming back to do more music. The song that plays when he kills the fat kid and sees Allyson for the first time gives me chills every time. I can't wait for the next one to be honest, shame it had to get delayed.

  • The original Remember Me, it would actually be a fairly interesting perk with End Game. Sad it is a shell of its former self.

For survivor, I'd say restore the ability to remove exhaustion while running. It honestly felt more fun to me and from a killer perspective it wasn't that game breaking.

  • it's reportable. EGC doesn't matter, it really depends on how long they blocked the survivor there

  • Entertainment wise: Ohmwrecker, Monto is a close second

    Skill wise: Ayrun for sure

  • You literally described why you de-piped and act confused. You need to play the game. Just doing gens and escaping is only 2/4 of the game. That's why there are emblems to guide you.

    1 - Gens

    2 - Survive

    3 - Help others

    4 - Evade killer

you did only 2 of these 4 things and you are confused why you de-piped. You need to help your team, and get some killer chases and win them.

That's how the point system works...play the entire game or face the consequence. SImple as that really

The only way to depip and escape is to literally not help people and not interact with the killer.

You can't possibly be this stupid. Use your brain and think about what you just said. How many games do we have where the killer plays like #########, tunnels one player and camps them? Leaving you with no chance at altruism or getting killer chase points.

Rushing to finish a game against a bad player, I agree with your statement...but the realistic game outcome is what I've mentioned. You should not be punished because a killer refused to participate in 3/4 of the game. Same can be said for killer, if survivors DC and you kill only 1 as a result, you shouldn't de-pip but you do.

Needs to be a way to determine things like this so it doesn't rob good players of being penalized for doing nothing wrong.

  • Oni's chase music (from the Oni POV) is just Myers chase music with a different instrument instead of the piano. You'll never unhear that now that I've told you :)

  • He's taken it off before, and he has hair. This was in his earlier streaming days

  • Spirit has so many counters it's unreal. I'm sorry you don't understand how she works, try playing her and maybe you'll realize how easy it is to counter her. You need to get in her head, it's literally a mindgame battle between both sides.

Example, running from her while phasing? Throw the pallet down but stay on the side you were running from. Most spirits won't expect this, unless you have done it multiple times before.

Another example, vault a window while running from her, then immediately slow vault back. 99.9% chance she won't catch you unless you have been doing it multiple times in chase already.

It's all about conditioning. She is predicting where you will go, you need to predict where she will go, and you can mind-game her in the process.

Seriously, once you understand and learn how to play against her, she is actually the most fun killer to go against because it activates a much different in-game chase.

Long story short, Play her, learn how to catch survivors, then play survivor and do the opposite of what you'd expect from her. Once she's conditioned herself to your moves, reverse it. Maybe drop the pallet the next time, and slow vault over it, or don't double back when you vault that window.

There are countless other ways to mind game her btw, I just gave you two of the most simplistic ways.

  • Honestly, I'm hoping they just move the cage mechanic to the hooks. What I mean is, adding skill checks in the struggle phase. When you miss a skill check, it reduces your timer slightly. There's no way to ######### in the cages, and if they utilize this system on the hooks, it would be the same. There would be no real way to suicide, you could make your death happen slightly faster, but no killing yourself anymore

so dude, the 4 wasn't a coicidence after all. i knew there was more behind it

Yeah the 4 was indeed the pyramid head. It was a good call out to whoever discovered it.

However, it doesn't change my other points. They over-hyped this saying it's an iconic horror franchise and that it marked the world of horror since its inception.

Silent Hill is just neither of these, like at all. The movies were medoicre at best and it was hardly a franchise.

Now yes, the game was a pretty big franchise, but again it was a casual rip off of other survivor horror games.

Don't get me wrong, I love the chapter, and it is very entertaining, but they hyped it to be something completely different and that to me, is where most of the disappointment is coming from. I'll certainly enjoy it personally though, as I loved Silent Hill 2 and 3, 1 was okay but 2 and 3 were it for me. I'd say The Room, because that was a fantastic game but it was far away from what Silent Hill was

I'm actually losing brain cells from reading posts from people trying to claim that this perk is good in any way...

Even if they made it so that it blocked only the killer from interacting with the gen, it would still be a terrible perk...

someone doesn't play high ranks and understand how significant blocking a gen for 30 seconds can do to a killer with POP

  • A new map and survivor has already been confirmed, so you don't have to worry about another Ghostface incident. :)

  • Detective's Hunch, Small game, Rainbow maps, etc. There's so many ways to counter NOED it's insane. You yourself are to blame if NOED pops, stop being bad and do the totems if you hate it that bad.

  • The irony of your statement is that you can't rank up with Mori's. You will black PIP at best

  • Adding a killer stagger to falling defeats the purpose of perks like Balanced Landing, so I say absolutely not to this idea.

  • It needs to be reworked, no good huntress uses them because they know how strong they are and she doesn't need them.

Making it work only on long range shots (15 meters like Deathslinger) is the way to go. It makes using the addon feel rewarding because shots that far aren't guaranteed to hit, so landing them already makes you feel accomplished. Adding an insta down on top of shots like that is a great feeling, the survivor would feel less cheated as well as they'd actually have a chance to avoid it.

Insta hatchets in melee range of the huntress are downright impossible to dodge (unless you have a baby huntress who can't aim)

I hope the change the devs make is something along the line of this

Adding on to this, this why people state that Tunneling and Camping is a strategy. You are doing your job and killing someone. Slugging someone is also killing someone (although not hooking anyone for no reason is illogical).

These comments are from a Red rank perspective:

Camping is a terrible strategy as a killer. You will actually derank if the survivors catch on to it. They can do all 5 gens and leave. You will lose points for the ranking emblems because standing under a hooked survivor drastically reduces your chance to PIP.

Slugging is also a terrible strategy, since you don't get any hooks (4 at most) and you will at best get a safety pip, sometimes even de-ranking.

Tunneling is the only actual legit strategy that works, survivors hate it but it's effective. Eliminating one survivor to make it a 1v3 is actually a really good and effective strategy to use. So I 100% encourage that. There are perks to help alleviate that kind of pressure

  • DC's aren't always internet related. You could've easily crashed. I can tell you with 100% certainty the DC was something on your end OR someone DDoS your game. Point is, you're punishment was just, eat the 5 minutes and move on

Unlike some I would like any actual chance of winning.

Uh but you are doing the one thing that gives you the worst chance or winning. Red Rank survivors are gonna just do gens and leave once they figure out you're face camping bud. It's not worth it

  • What you are describing is bannable. It's taking your game hostage. Take a screenshot or video capture it, send it to Devs. Let the survivor know in post game chat that they can get banned for it, 9/10 they are just trolling and don't even know it's bannable. Spread the word, so most people who do it will stop. Obviously you'll get that random 7 year old kid who wants to do it no matter what, but that's what the ban is for. At least spread the word to those doing it so most people get scared and stop doing it entirely.

  • The lawsuit for Jason only includes the mention of his mother and other very minor details. His outfits, name, weapon, kill types, all of those are free game to license through Sean Cunningham. People have overestimated what the lawsuit entails. Devs for F13 stopped making content on their own accord, they were not forced by the lawsuit, they just saw no reason to continue making content until it was resolved.

Long story short, Yes they can use Jason, yes they can use any of his outfits, they would just need to change up his story some. You cannot mention Pamela Voorhees, which from a gameplay perspective isn't that big of a deal.

  • I would suggest making a private 1v1 KYF where a friend helps you get target practice as Huntress. My mistake as Huntress when I first played was throwing low all the time, but once I did a 1v1 with a friend, I learned so fast.

  • Bloodpoints don't determine your rank, at all. The sooner you understand that, the quicker you'll learn how to actually PIP in this game

  • I made a thread suggestion about giving killers a 30 second pregame setup to place them in any preset location on the map, this way RNG doesnt' screw them. But people said that would be too strong

  • You shouldn't have to waste a slot to prevent something toxic in-game. Devs are already working on it anyway, they are going to make it less appealing, who knows what that will mean.

It's as if you think survivors need MORE ways to abuse the killer. I shouldn't need to explain why this idea would never work.

this isn't a Survivor vs Killer bully thread. It's literally just about an idea to implement, there can be extra ones for killer too. I did say it would have to be near impossible to pull off. Trust me, I don't want any more survivor bullying either, I'm just thinking out loud at how fun something like this could be

  • Clown is least used for a reason, he's a weaker freddy. Glad to see Devs are aiming to rework him next (as said in the most recent stream)

  • Pallets aren't even strong for freddy, his snares are far superior.

Also Freddy has the same lunge as other killers, his body is smaller, that's why it seems farther. He's perfectly fine, he deserves this kind of buff considering how bad he was in the past. Freddy can be beat still, just learn how to counter him better.

  • That's your counter-argument? Friday the 13th has survivors and a killer also.

I'm thinking of things to make the game more fun. I would add more killer sided ideas too, just thought this one sounded fun

  • The easiest solution is just removing perk ranks. They are a product of OLD DBD and are not really important. Make 1 rank for every perk, it will reduce a lot of the grind while still keeping a grind if that makes sense

  • It's already in alphabetical order (sorted by perk rarity)

I agree it's a QoL improvement but I think it's fine how it is once you realize it's alphabetized

  • Fight fire with fire. If you keep getting try hard teams, then go try hard back. Bring overpowered addons, ebony moris, noed, etc. This is literally the killer equivalent of SWF advantages. You can beat any team if you rely on those type of crutches. Let them be salty in chat, it's only a game. If you can't beat a SWF team with something like say..Insta down hatchets, ebony mori, then you probably should just keep playing and learn to get better.

I promise you, you can only improve, so teams like that may be tough on you now, but you'll get better as a result.

  • Frankin's Demise ... make friends with it

  • It's not a bug, it's a survivor tactic to block you from breaking the pallet. They took advantage of your inexperience. Just stab the one behind you and move on. It's a free hit anyway, so consider it a win now that you know how to counter it.

  • The clues suggest it's a horror franchise, implying it's from a movie not a video game. Silent Hill is far from iconic anyway, the characters were forgettable as well as the monsters involved. I loved the games, but even I admit it's not that impactful

The announcement implies this chapter will make a huge impact, and in no way whatsoever would Silent Hill do anything remotely to that. I think the most likely answer is something that marks the horror industry such as characters like Jason, Xenomorph, Candyman, Chucky, or Pinhead.

As much as you'd like it to be Pyramid Head, I just don't see it happening. The number 4 is a coincidence IMO, and if anything it looks like honey dripping to indicate Candyman.

DS is a momentum breaker, so it's godlike against spirit and nurse. BT triggers against any killer (except scratched mirror myers lol) if you time it right. DH works against instadown killers after your first hook. SB is a good alternative. Unbreakable counters slugging = the counter to DS.

BT doesn't work against Stealth killers, so not just scratched mirror myers. It also doesn't work against Freddy at all unless you're awake. So yeah, BT can be useless for a lot of killers

  • Any killer that forces you to play differently is a welcome addition. She's not overpowered, you are just conditioned to the same thing with other killers. Playing against Spirit is literally mindgame vs mindgame, who wins?

    Learn to play better.

  • Easily the most balanced map in the game, if anything more maps should be like this one. I can tell you're a survivor main, so I can understand why you'd want it to be removed.

But anyone who plays Killer and Survivor on an even scale (meaning you have rank 1 killer and survivor) will agree this map is easily the most balanced.

  • The point of prestige is starting over, if you keep your perks it ruins that effect. BHVR added prestige to give you something to play for. If you keep perks, you have less to play for in terms of grinding. They only care about replayability so don't count on something like this happening.

  • It's 99.9% not going to be Candyman for Chapter 16 (maybe 17 though) because the movie got delayed. Also the guy who has predicted the last 4 killers said it's not him and I doubt he'd be wrong at this point.

  • Jason is 100% impossible, there's a lawsuit that prevents it

  • @MiniPisa said:

When picking someone up all you need to do is face the wall. If you're in the open then pretend you're about to pick up, wait for someone to run out and then chase them away. Pallet blinding doesn't last long and you can hear the survivor running when you have a good enough headset so its not a big deal. If they speak past you while blinded then you'll know because of the lack of scratch marks. By the way, I play on console and flashlight's are even harder to use - I can blind on pallets fine but when it comes to saving that is a whole new level of skill. Not just the aim but the timing needs to be perfect. They're not easy to use and therefore do not need a nerf or removal.

You actually cannot hear them running when you are blind, when blinded you are deafened. So that's false information my man.
