I agree.
At the end of the day, if survivors choose to get good at the game, they have all the tools they need to basically never get caught. At the very least, never actually die. From perks to map resources. Even on maps they hate like "The Game" (literally the most amount of safe pallets in 1 map).
I don't think we're playing the same game. It doesn't matter if you're a good survivor, a killer will always get you since they're faster than you. Pallets aren't infinite and get destroyed.

a crash can be one of many things, it isn't just their game. it isn't just the internet. if your system makes a corrupted video call or access call the game can crash. if your internet security activates, it could crash the game depending on what's going on. There is so many things. i'm sorry it happened, you will not get any bp from it, but you could show them an issue they didn't know about so it can get patched because of a code interaction between the game and the system so it's great you sent the information in.
@Marigoria you are so uninformed about these things it's laughable. they won't know till the information is sent in, which it was and then solutions can be found. They will not say it's your internet when they know what caused the error that crashed the game. they might not take action because there is nothing they CAN do because it's not the program that caused it but possibly something else. but if you just say you disconnected (not crashed) without information they can't do too much investigation either. and that is not something most people are set up to have captures of.....
As someone who works for tech support in games you are calling me uninformed. 90% of the game crashes I've been getting in DBD have been a faulty game file with their updates. It is not on my end. What is uninformed is every time they blame your internet when it isn't. What's next? turn it off and on? bruh.

You're waiting that much time because killer is a ######### role to play. You can get 5 seconds queues as pc killer especially on evenings against swfs. Just try it yourself. I agree with solo being garbage. This game is biased to SWFs and behaviour knows it.
Killer takes as long during the day.

If you're sitting in queue for several minutes matchmaking will typically throw you in a lobby with every-rank survivor even if you're red rank.
Another indicator for a "new-ish player lobby" is default skins as displayed in the screenshot.
As for toxic killers... Well... That guy is probably new despite his rank 3 and gets stressed out the second Tinkerer triggers a single time.
Try not to worry about these kind of people. There's plenty of overly salty and toxic people on both sides. You know that.
Try to focus on the people that are/were fun to play with/against.
Unfortunately, lobby dodging for seeing default skins would just make me have to wait at least 10 more minutes. If the Q times were instant, I wouldn't have a problem with the crappy matchmaking.
It's always at night as well, during the day I actually have team mates of similar rank and barely takes a minute to find a lobby.
-
Lol they don't care. They'll just tell you it's your internet, even when it isn't.
-
Would also like to add that the match before this was me (rank 4), 3 rank 18 team mates and a rank 11 killer.
-
@WishIcouldmain said:
Feel bad for you mate I'll still get potatoes for teammates. But I play on mobile it only takes a minute or two to get a match as survivor and a little longer as killer.
I wouldn't be as pissed if it was fast matchmaking, but it makes no sense to wait 10 minutes to just be matched with whatever ranks.
-
Nothing new. Ebony should be brown for how common it is to get them. Really rare to get ivorys and medium to get cypress.
My huntress is only level 40 (so I could get the teachables) and has around 10 moris, and on the bloodweb right now there's 2 ebonys.
If prestiging actually makes you get better items (it doesn't), I would find like 5 ebonys in one web.
-
Can you please give me your killers then? I'll gladly take a farming killer over these mori off of first hook with insta hatchet sweaty huntresses I keep getting

You shouldn't be punished for DCing
why not? if you get punished for dcing against a camping/tunneling killer, why wouldn't you get punished for dcing against someone farming?

I legit don’t understand why survivors wouldn’t bring DS.
Because it's fun to use other perks. I rarely use it even though in some matches I sure wish I did
-
As someone who plays mostly survivor I complain more about my team mates than the killer 80% of the time. Solo Q isn't great.
-
@Weasdat said:
If you looped better you might have gotten away. Also please don't blame killers for making the correct play because you decided not to bring the strongest perk in the game.
Some killer mains: cry when someone uses DS
The same killer mains:

Funny you say that, because I find console players to use way more moris and noed.

Make it much harder to rank up as survivor, and so that you cant pip in a SWF, and suddenly you'll start to see actually GOOD randoms. Just a thought.
That doesn't help solo at all, just makes swf slightly harder, and even so...
-
I'd boop the snoot more often if I didn't get killed for doing so
-
Killer: Bamboozle, idk why more people don't use it, it's extremely strong in certain places and saves you a lot of time.
Survivor: Pebble, not only fun as a meme but can also be handy

Because the way you play against a Deathslinger is stealth, and it's a playstyle not many people enjoy. Not really hard to understand why people hate him.
I'm not a stealthy player though, I just find chases against him fun

Survivors switching hooks would be bad, very bad for survivors. Just stop face-camping, and proxy camp. When the survivors come in to rescue, get close enough to trigger the hook switch. Survivors on hooks are visable to the killer, and the killer is faster. They can get to the new hook before the survivors do, rinse and repeat.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1747990#Comment_1747990
I call it a grey area, because its awfully close to rage quitting, but is much harder to prove. Because lag, frame drops, or inattentiveness can cause you to accidentally die on hook.
Can an arguement be made that its a mechanic of the game, yeah. But camping is actually allowed for in the game. Perks like insidious make camping easier, and borrowed time acts as a soft counter under the right circumstances.
Suiciding is also allowed since it's a mechanic to m1 on hook.

DC-ing is literally against the rules, its rage quitting. Hook suicide is in a grey-area, that (probably) isn't technically against the rules.
Imagine if all survivors hid in bushes and only did the minimum to prevent getting crows. Killers would stop playing and the game would die. So stealth is bad for the game. Except stealth is a valid tactic, because after a while stealth gets boring, as does facecamping.
Scummy tactics are valid tactics, its up to the survivors to make sure that the scummy tactics don't pay off.
Do gens, don't get overly altruistic, don't engage them in the end game chat, don't send them a message. Some people want to just ruin the fun for others, don't let them know its working. Don't feed the trolls.
If suiciding on first hook is a grey-area, so is camping. It gives you the option to suicide so.
-
@gibblywibblywoo said:
They do. If the killer camps you they lose rank points and map pressure. Pretty simple. It 30 seconds pass and its obvious the killer isn't leaving just do gens. Camping is only rewarded by stupid survivors.
They lose rank points but you, the camped survivor, also does. So does it really fix anything? It doesn't.

Every single game, EVERY SINGLE GAME I've played today and yesterday I've died on second hook WHILE running Kindred, or I was completely tunneled off hook and admittedly hooked again. No one helps with gens, no one heals me, no one helps me off hook. I get absolutely cucked EVERY single game by useless teammates and tunneling killers.
This game only seems fun to people who play toxic, or to people who actually have friends to play with.
I've spent so much time and money on this terrible game, I wish I could go back in time and stop myself from starting this game.
The glitches will never be fixed, the hitboxes will never be fixed, the ranking system will never be fixed, the point system will never be fixed, and the trashy teammates and the terrible killers will never get good.
Aka the game is frustrating as solo survivor. Yeap, it is.

The only thing she needs is to make It so that survivors cant leave the trial with a jigsaw box on their head. Which is not hard to do for the devs considering Victors power allows the Twins to have that advantage.
Actually you can still leave with victor if she downs you near the exit... it's not that good.
-
Imo this chapter had good map potential, specially the one they showed in the trailer. Shame

He's also one of my favorite ones to go against, idk why people don't like him...

That is why players will be motivated to play better and appeal to their team, thus creating a healthy playing field and experience for everyone.
What is considered "playing better" for you is different for someone else.
So people would be voting out others they don't like the playstyle off? Quite weird if you ask me.
-
No, it isn't too much.
This is a rated R horror game. It isn't for the easily offended.

This would allow players to have control over their matches. It will give a new sense of respect to this game.
It will give an even bigger sense of disappointment to solo players, giving randoms the opportunity to kick you for 12 hours just because.

If you read the post it says it would not work when playing with friends, only solo
It doesn't make it any better.
-
Worst idea ever.
Great to get voted out as a solo player because of scummy swf.
No thanks, pass.
-
It stops them from adding you as a friend I think. That is about it.
-
For me the only valid reasons to suicide on hook are:
- Team mates are sandbagging you.
- Killer or team mate are hacking/cheating.
- You have something irl to deal with.
Otherwise I agree with everything else you mentioned
-
As someone who is part of the LGBT community, I honestly do not care.
The game isn't focused on who is screwing who, it's focused on surviving/killing. It doesn't affect gameplay in any way.
-
So you disconnected intentionally and are complaining about getting a disconnection penalty? Seems legit...
-
Solo
-
I noticed this with the crew shirt for nea as well.
-
Yea sure, but can we watch a video instead of some screenshots? For context. For all we know you were camping the basement, then yea, they have the right the complain about it.
Also if they "switched last second to map and a key" why did you have franklins? Imo smells like bs
-
I'd be ok with ruin + undying if it didn't have aura reading.
90% of my matches now in solo q are against someone with ruin+ undying + tinkerer
-
Same here!

Woops - misread, sorry, but point still stands as a reminder for people then!
Np.

Just seeing someone is using iri hatchets makes me want to dc. I will just run to her and kill myself on first hook. IMO that's the most busted add on in the game, specially paired with belt.

Bans of any kind are not disclosed. They certainly do something. Bans are issued by the dedicated ACM team. There are many reports daily, a report might not be done right away, but they certainly see them and do something about them if it's not a false report. Sometimes people don't report in the game, which is mandatory and this also hinders a report.
Also I want to note: Temporary bans are not visible on anyone's profile.
Additional evidence can always be sent to support. More can be found here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/139-game-rules

Postings things here on the forums won't do anything. It won't quicken the process - if at all someone might earn a warning for naming and shaming which is against the rules. We can't speed up the process - everyone has to go through the same process of reporting people in the game.
I didn't say post in the forums, I mentioned using the support page aka email.
-
No.
- A quentin main
-
Reports don't do anything if you don't come on the forums and send video evidence to support, and even then, to be fair, I truly doubt anything happens.

@cindlemain said:
Its two 5 minute penalties, two 15 minute penalties, two 30 minute penalties, then 1 hour, then 6, then 24, then 48. I don't know if it goes above that, but it does degrade after time, it just takes a while so if your game is crashing maybe take a break for about half and hour and try again so it doesn't get higher
It will still get higher if he keeps crashing after 30 minutes. I think it only decreases after 24hours

But I play on PS4 Pro, PS4 Slim, PC windows 7, PC windows 8, Xbox One, Xbox One S, Xbox One X. And I haven't encountered the bug ur talking about.
If it's indeed a bug, the bug itself needs to be addressed, not get rid of DC.
Since when it doesn't happen to you, it means it doesn't happen, here's some screenshots to prove what I was talking about. It was a corrupt update, After verifying the files it got fixed.

Hate: Huntress & Pyramid Head
Everyone else is fun to play against
-
Something similar happened to me. I'm a rank 2 solo survivor, and everyone else including the killer was rank 10-12
