Is he from Final Fantasy?? Looks like he could be. However, I do mean that in a good way.

I love seeing the google translated stuff you do. Keep up the good work!
Thank you and will do!

She has a lot of respect from me. Alongside the fact her physical presence is actually quite intimidating, she also has fought against so much prejudice and starvation, to keep her and Victor alive.
Even now, I'd say she suffers more mentally than survivors do! Survivors may sometimes die and sometimes escape, but those around them as fellow survivors change so much that they may not have time to make friends and suffer the pain of losing one. Charlotte sees Victor killed multiple times in each trial, and has to endure this memory trial after trial after trial. She's practically in a wrath-themed Hell!
-
I'd say "No" because the vast majority of the time it's never an issue, and in the 0.001% of games I may come across a death squad, then I use it as a learning tool - and that's if I'm even not sure if it is, or just exceptionally skilled players.
The devs don't have to change it, but I've been in favour of an optional game mode whereby survivors can only play solo to enter, but the rewards would be even greater (e.g.: as well as more BP, add shards or even unique cosmetics). That way, rather than let killers choose their opponents (resulting in most probably a large reduction in survivors), let survivors choose to test themselves at solo level.
As for killers, the problem could be they all choose that option, so when a killer logs in they won't know if they're in that version of the game, or in the standard trials. However, depending on the rank and numbers of an swf within that trial, again the killers could be notified afterwards if it were swf or not (not say who, though) and depending on the level of difficulty be rewarded more BP and after a certain set of results also receive unique cosmetics and iridescent shards.
Heck, even use it to enter prize draw competitions for bigger prizes, like merchandise! The end result is to make it fun for everyone, regardless of how the match goes, and this may encourage people to give solo a go.
-
I've not played the remake, but did play the PC title when it came out, and I'm not 100% sure that the layout of both maps is identical. Either because it's been some time since I've played it, or they've made some changes, I'm not fully recognising everything.

Ok, thinking right now using meta perks isnt enought to be toxic, but teabag it really toxic and annoying, and I said nothing about racism, it is crime, Im not defending it.
I see your point and neither was I accusing you of any of those things. I was clarifying that whilst people can be frustrated or irritated by others, it's important to note that if someone were to react with a slur, death threat or telling someone to kill themself, then that's not acceptable, regardless of how someone played in-game.
Basically, I was wanting to clarify your comment about needing to hear both sides of the story, which I very much agree with. There was just a concern I had that if someone was told their family was going to die, I didn't want that to appear as acceptable, irrespective of both sides. But it's true no story can be told by one side.
-
The updates normally shouldn't cause such issues with last gen. The graphical updates and changes are still well within the capability of those consoles, and they have handled more intense games, which far exceed that of DBD, so I don't believe it's a gen issue.
BHVR have said they're investigating an HDD issue, which sounds like an error their end and not a problem with last gen consoles anyway. Hopefully, the mid-chapter patch will solve it. However, because the PTB is not for console, I'm uncertain how they'd properly test the fix.

Okay, you saw one side of the story, but there is always something before that, they might have been toxic teabagging or just using the meta #########. But if you only see the hate of one side and dont even try tofid where did it came from, its just bs.
It's true that it's important to see both sides and sometimes a playstyle might rile another, but teabagging or using meta perks is not a reason for telling someone to kill themselves or be racist. It's completely disproportionate to react that way because of a video game. That says far more about the individual doing these insults than the streamer, and that they need their head checked - or at least wonder why they hate in that way, because an in-game action such as mentioned above shouldn't cause such an emotive, wreckless response to anyone of sound mind.

Imagine having the Tinkerer perk on that thing!!

I like the idea, but it doesn't work at all with the Thing's lore
I admit I'm not really up to scratch on The Thing lore, and the only defence to this would be - since the Entity reaches into a multiverse of worlds - is that it takes a Thing from another where the lore fits.
Afterall, the Resident Evil chapter certainly doesn't follow RE lore, so it wouldn't be unusual for BHVR to take from an alternate timeline.
-
It's a fun theory to contemplate, although a blighted version of the Twins scares me for some reason. I'm thinking Victor and that wound in the chest, infected by blight - with some creativity, that may lead to some sickening nightmares.
-
I've not found it horrendous or unplayable on console, but the current lag can be problematic.
However, there are in particular 2 specific times I've noticed where it can become unusually bad.: 1. Chasing a survivor with the golden crown haze and b) the cornfields. I'm not sure why those 2 make it worse.
-
As survivor, it's recently been We'll Make It, as it's such a quick, easy heal to get people back into the game, and that 1 health state gained quickly can really tip the flow of the game to our advantage.
As killer, it's Trail of Torment. I used to be under the (false) impression that highlighting a gen I kicked was a beacon for other survivors to know where I am, until I realised just how sneaky you can be with it.
-
I think 2 zombies as base is fine, but I would be all for an add-on which may add 1 or 2 extra zombies!
-
Stick Empathy alongside such perks as Botany Knowledge, Bite the Bullet, Autodidact, We'll Make It, and maybe a couple of others, you have a healing beast!!
-
It's improved quite a bit my end now, but to start with there were some players who chose to play killer and seem to have ramped up these behaviours, which I'm assuming has spmething to do with the celebrations, since I've barely seen true face-camping and tunnelling in ages, and previous slugging happened purely because the opportunity was presented to the killer by bad survivor play.
However, as unfortunate as your experience was, the vast majority of killers play fairly (as in not act like this on purpose, not being nice to survivors). With luck, your next string of trials will feel more balanced.
-
You will come to love Empathy, trust me!

The entity is older than earth itself if I remember correctly, I wonder if we will ever get lore on old killers that serves there purpose or survivors that lost hope , like Alex ect
That would be a good angle for a future Tome, certainly! Afterall, those perks that are available to all - I would love to know more about those individuals and whether those people are still out there, somewhere.

Yes deadspace is a big one, tho idk how big of a reach of the entity has on are universe
It seems to pick people from different worlds already, so it might be straight forward for it.
On the other hand, is it just different parallel Earths it takes from? If so, then maybe Dead Space could be a stretch for it.
Suddenly made me wonder whether the Entity is some Cthulu being, or simply some sort of virus which entwines around the different "layers" of Earth.
-
Rather than Corrupt Intervention, an additional action (like finding a part for a generator to get it working) would improve the start.
Corrupt is a very strong perk at the start, and making it basekit with an additional 4 perks is probably too powerful.
-
The Xenomorph is the big one, closely followed by T-1000 and something from Dead Space.
Nothing exciting I'm afraid!
-
Although I say "No", it's only because I've had way more positive than negative comments in post-game chat. My experience is it's always been more positive, although I appreciate that it's not always the case for others.

Toxic players are good players, they have skill to back up there arrogance and assertiveness. How many times you do you rrally catch the annoying survivor out of the 4? Me, barely ever.
There is truth in this. Someone has to be confident in their ability to have the gaul to act thus. Mind you, at the same time there are those who act confident but fall flat on their faces. It's a mixed bag, really. And even the good ones have weaknesses, and with experience now I've ended more cocky players than lost to them.
My only quibble is differentiating between toxic and confident. Confident players are skilled and use clicky tactics to play on psychology, but at the end they either leave a nice comment or leave with minimum fuss. A toxic player acts that way, but is a poor winner/ loser and will be offensive.
Often, the confident players are better than the toxic, since toxicity usually emanates from insecurity.

The designers did an amazing job of recreating the station, and I'm certainly not complaining about the hard work and dedication towards it.
It's a bit like Midwich Elementary: the recreation and detail is brilliant, but unfortunately translating an area from single-player survival horror to asymetrical multi-player arenas is difficult because of the design fitting the purpose.
I like how they tried to make it more suitable, but maybe it's a bit too ambitious? It's tricky as well, as there are limits pressed upon designers by the licence owners in terms of wiggle room to change the settings.

Everything you wrote thus far tells me it is about entitlement. You want to win and have fun your way; Killers are not letting that happen. therefore you want to 'discuss' it in hopes of changing something. It won't work and if it did you'd be even more miserable because any change to prevent the behavior you are writing about would make Killer unplayable and zero fun.
I don't think you read my post correctly. The post was about allowing the survivors to simply interact with a crown to then have it in their possession, as the killers do also presently.
Currently, a killer could go into a round, find a crown and then do nothing else and leave the trial with it. A survivor can attain a crown, do 3 gens, unhook and save people, yet if they do not survive then they lose the crown. In your previous comment, you implied crowns have to be earned. But currently survivors are the only ones thqt basis applies to. Killers just need to touch it. Can't say that was earned.
As a result, I have noted a select few killers will tunnel and face camp (by that, mean right in their face, punching them), and my post was simply about survivor and killer having equal ability to interract with a crown to win it - nothing about escaping, entitlement or anything along those lines.

You are not entitled to free points because there's an event going. You get what you earn.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2333623#Comment_2333623
Have you considered that maybe they're just playing the game normally and would have mori'd you even without an event going? No? Of course you didn't, because you having a bad outcome must be personal since the universe revolves around you
.
You missed the point of what I was saying. It's not about entitlement. It's about seeing a shift in face camping in some games I've seen since the start of this celebration, and I believe it's a change because of those few individuals. It's nothing to do with entitlement. It's about attitude in those rare circumstances.
-
It does seem to be getting a bit worse now. The cornfields had me dodge a Bubba strike by accident, because he got buggered by a blip and span round to hit a barrel!
They could try loading less content into each match, or have a look into the possibility of memory leaks (which a couple of people on here have already suggested). Or maybe even boost the servers, if part of the reason is due to an increase in players overwhelming the servers.
But something does need to be changed. Granted, there will come a day where the PS4/Xbox One gens won't be good enough anymore, but currently prices are such that a lot of people cannot afford higher-end machines yet. And from what some have said, there should still be ample capacity in that generation to still run the game smoothly.
They've said game health is a priority, so they currently have a lot of work to do. I'm hoping their aim for graphical progress and more potential for errors doesn't make things worse. I'll wish for the best, but the game optimisation needs some heavy action.
-
I think there's a difference between playing nice amd playing fair.
Playing fair is playing within the rules, without mocking the opponent and deliberately ruining their experience (i.e.: proper face-camping, which is actually a poor tactic to use anyway!).
Playing nice is giving them the hatch when you don't need to.
Remember you need to enjoy the game. It is fine to put yourself first, especially if you have an achievement to get. Just don't let the others turn you into a monster.
-
I'd be really intrigued how Persona would work, so I'm gonna vote that.
Although, I also admit having Obscura in an Evil Within chapter would be just about the freakiest and coolest thing I could see in Dead By Daylight, so I'd not be disappointed in that.
Is it greedy to ask for you to do all of them? Yes, it's greedy, sorry. Still, it's the dream!
-
I think they have the right balance currently, in terms of I prefer the original characters, but to on occassion see someone who I recognise from another franchise can be rather exciting!
In terms of original versus licence, I believe they have the balance just right.
-
Whilst I'd disagree it's a grind, I completely empathise with the frustration of having to escape with a crown. If BHVR could learn from this and make it so survivors have the same guarantee as killers in collecting crowns, then I feel it would just be more bqlqnced in terms of collecting them.

The only opposing opinion I would offer here is that there are in fact times where some Killers(myself included...full disclosure) will face camp someone for a reason. That reason is usually to punish a Survivor who was exploiting, or otherwise being a tool. I'm not sayin anything, I'm just sayin.
Yeah, and I fully accept that. It's just the frequency by which this has happened and the timing seems to be very pointed, and I'm certainly not saying this is true of a majority of killer players, but it feels like certain DBD players have taken to controlling killer to make the scenario as awkward as possible for others to benefit from either the cakes or the crowns.
-
As a 50/50 player, up until now I rarely came across anything I would consider close to actual tunnelling and camping.
Today alone I had 3 games in a row with killers face-camping. One just kept punching at the guy! He had Kindred, so I could see the lug bashing away.
In all 3 games I was fortunate to escape, and one of them we managed to rescue the hooked guy. However, I have noted an increase, and the only things I can think of with those 3 killers is that all matches had lots of cake, and some of those survivors had crowns.
So my assumption from this, some other experience during this time and from what people have said is that some people are choosing to play killer to deliberately prevent other players from getting those crowns and BP.
So although nothing can be done about the cake, I would suggest that sirvivors get the crown simply by interracting with it. It's too convenient for the sudden boost in face-camps when this event started, wheb I've barely come across true face-camping for the longest time.
It's a shame, since it gives killer mains a really unfair reputation because of some guys acting like dicks.
-
As survivor:
I was addicted to healing. Anybody, anywhere, anytime I believed getting them back to full health was a priority, and never knew why some ran away. I chased 1 survivor a lap around Crotus (it felt like it) doing nothing useful other than hoping the survivor would stop to heal! Not understanding the terror radius during such times did not help the plight of the poor buggers who got sliced because I was camping them more at hooks to heal them than the killers ever could!
As killer:
For a couple of matches as Trapper (during the time traps could be sabotaged), and not knowing they could, so I spent a while trying different angles to pick it up. I even managed to communicate to a survivor that they should see this and they walked away, seemingly unimpressed, probably thinking "I'm gonna just let you carry on. You do you".
Also, when I equipt "Spies from the Shadows" for the first time without reading the description properly, and spending that entire round becoming increasingly frustrated with the constant mini explosions, as I couldn't concentrate on finding survivors with all that racket!

Old Nemesis very much did, but new Nemesis seems more resilient now. I think he'd just shrug off the hits Pyramid Head lays onto him
May do! Then again, it's possible Pyramid Head is always "tiered" against his opponents, depending on their level of guilt, anger, etc.. I've no doubt Nemesis feels rage - so if Puramid Head sucked on that, then I don't think Nemesis will be as resilient against his attacks.
-
I love this perk! Mixed with Empathy, Bite The Bullet and either Botany Knowledge or Autodidact and you become a healing machine!
-
Could a possibility of making her slightly weaker be:
a) Having the phase sound audiable whenever she is in phase, no matter how far she is from you, and make it directional
b) When in phase, have the sounds around her have a mini echo effect, which acts a little like a mini survivor terror radius of maybe 4 metres. So, even with Stridor she'll know she's in the right place, but may not always know exactly where the survivor is positioned.
That way, survivors can hear the phase, and Spirit can still use visual and audio clues, although it's not as accurate and could result in misses.
-
The average player should be the point of balance. This is a game that will have many casual players, amd balancing it versus the top 0.01% would be an extremely bad move - alienating many players.
Instead, there should be more rewards for players who dare to be different. As an example, perhaps weaker-tiered perks would offer a much larger BP total, endgame. Maybe even throw in some Iridescent Shards or something. Make variety a very real option, and incentivise players for more experimental builds.
-
It's a great combination! With the right team, matching Blast Mine, Red Herring and Repressed Alliance together would be fatal for the killer!
-
Pyramid Head can only be killed by itself, when it decides its mission has been completed.
Nemesis won't stop until it has completed its mission, but with enough firepower it can be put down.
It would be a painfully long battle (owing to Pyramid Head's speed and limited arsenal), but Pyramid Head will always triumph over Nemesis.
Another thing of note: Pyramid Head came about due to James' guilt. If it develops strength to punish on an individual basis, it will be much more destructive to Nemesis. Although, if Nemesis has no guilt, where would Pyramid Head absorb its strength?
-
That game franchise was a lot of fun, and Alma could be a devastating killer, considering all of the powers she holds!
-
I wouldn't want any, personally. Instead, I'd encourage people to balance each side they play on a bit more, understand how it works more and build a better understanding of the base game that way. The idea of must-have perks I think is blinkering people to think they cannot do well without them, and that's simply not true.
Having great perks does help, certainly. Yet, people can win games by just playing well, being creative and learning maps with no perks. They can't win games if someone is armed with the meta-perks and are not a good player.
-
It's far too difficult to interpret survivor plays at solo level. You just don't know why someone does what they did. They may be inexperienced or bad, but their intentions were nothing more than trying to help you.
Letting a survivor die because you made an assumption they were trying to cause your game problems says much more about how you see other survivors and your own temperment than it ever could about your team mates.
Dwight's quote: "I need you to survive so that I can survive" is the advice you need to stick by. Unless a fellow survivor is actively working with the killer or just teabagging or sandbagging you whilst you're hanging, there is no other reason to cause any griefing. Because that's what your action was, and it is a reportable offence.
-
I'd prefer a way of selecting which perks appear more prominently in the BP over others.
Unfortunately, I don't know how to impliment it successfully. Plus, this might also encourage people not coming across new perk playstyles or combinations, so it could risk diluting experimentation.
Maybe being able to collect all perks is more important? I'll change my mind and say that.
-
Over those, I would say to use your understanding of the killer role to your advantage, such as their pov and weaknesses.
Also learn the maps, be unpredictable and do not rush things.
Your playstyle will support your survival than any perk would.

That’ll be because survivors need to escape to get the crown. If there was another requirement to getting the crown, I think people would have played like they normally do. Gen rushing is about the only way I can ensure I leave with a crown & it’s awful. It’s not enjoyable for either side.
It is a shame that, once you activate a crown pedestal, you don't get the crown regardless of whether you escape or not.
I play both sides equally and admit it seems imbalanced. A killer needs to do nothing other than activate it, but a survive has a condition: to escape, and that doesn't feel fair.
As a survivor, it's an extra step to get a crown the killer doesn't need to do. As a killer, you can get stick if you kill a glittering survivor. If the event if to bring people together to celebrate it, this current model feels it's more likely to draw a wedge.
Also, I've noticed more Mori's have been cast in the last day than I've seen for quite some time.
-
If you play him like the psychopathic nutjob that he is, he can be so much fun!
Running through gaps and routes you don't even think you can, but do, is hilarious. He's probably the only killer who performs better if you don't take him seriously.
-
For Legion, I would keep their existing power as is, but give them an additional power that reflects their name-sake.
I'd have all 4 members of Legion there, with 3 in random lockers. When one member goes into a locker, any other can come out. A survivor who opens a locker to find legion there is instantly hit, and the player will be prompted if they want to transfer to that legion.
-
In terms of gameplay, it does suffer from some framerate issues, but the devs have mebtioned that.
I wouldn't say they are game-breaking from my position though. Definitely needs improving, but it's okay to play on.
In terms of the map design and such, it is absolutely brilliant, and I love how faithful to the original design it is and the Easter Eggs within.
Overall, once they iron out the main issue, it's going to be fast one of my favourites.
