  • "And while you're at it, could you also compensate/reimburse to players all those Lunar New Year Event's envelopes that can't be used anymore, since there isn't gonna be any more Lunar New Year events? Or is there?"

Personally I like having relics in my character's inventories, as mementos of my time in The Fog. So the best solution here would be to offer the option of selling unwanted, retired or otherwise unobtainable (event) offerings, items etc, so that everyone can make that decision for themselves.

  • @BorisDDAA said:

They're probably spamming some effect that overloads the game until it runs out of memory.

I saw someone report this on the Steam forums, but I couldn't gather from it whether it was a Survivor doing it or the Killer.

  • There is no information about that right now.

Some of the work-in-progress screenshots of the new quest system did seem to mention GhostFace in the same breath as 2v8. It's important to note that those are all placeholders, and no guarantee that 2v8 is returning any time soon and with new characters.

We'll have to wait for any official announcements in that regard.

Can we get any word from BHVR about their efforts to combat these types of hacks? You're seriously going to launch the FNAF collab while stuff like this is possible? That's going to be one hell of a first impression, I can tell you that much.

Has Slate submitted a report on this with his Game Logs?

Not while I was watching but idk what he did after, or when he finished his stream.

  • Yeah, this feels like a change done for the sake of changing something while nobody was asking for it.

Either they should revert it to what it was, or have the full number displayed in the pop-up window when hovering over an add-on/item/offering.

  • 230px-HS_outfit_025.png

This is probably the outfit you're referring to.

As SoGo said, it's his Void Collection outfit which is exclusive to the Halloween event and only available during that time.

  • One time I did a "Dragon in the Dungeon" build, which is going to be more difficult to do once map offerings have been nerfed, because it requires you to be on Forgotten Ruins. Here's how it works:

    - For this build you have to play Artist, specifically with the Jabberwock cosmetic
    - You need to go to Forgotten Ruins (which at this moment is a 50/50 when using the offering)
    - For perks, you equip Dragon's Grip, Hoarder, Human Greed, Insidious
    - Immediately after spawning in you go to the dungeon portion of the map if you didn't spawn there already
    - For the entire match, you are not allowed to leave and have to stall Survivor progress inside the dungeon for as long as you can.

  • @AbsolutGrndZer0 said:

Wait you have to get one in both modes? Not just 1 in either?

No, it's a mixed challenge where you have to get either 1 Iridescent LIghtbringer emblem or 1 Iridescent Gatekeeper emblem.

I did the Lightbringer one. It's not that difficult to do in the regular mode: gens & totems are all you need, and you can get some extra if you take chase while gens are being repaired or when opening an exit gate.

  • I've honestly never associated bloody cosmetics, or a Killer having all 3 perk charms on their hooks for that matter, with sweaty playstyles or a potentially miserable match.

The bloody prestige cosmetics can be acquired for free, and depending on the character (especially licensed ones) they are often the only option players have. Some variants are a bit lackluster imo, others change the character in a noticeable way. Just look at Dracula's prestige outfit, where his eyes turn blood-red.

    DBD-DraculaLord-01.jpg

This alone was the reason I wanted him P6 even before I decided to get all licensed killers to that level. It's also the cosmetic I currently run the most (especially now with the Blood Moon event).

The wording is definitely incorrect or maybe the achievement is bugged.

I don't know if it is tied to certain killers or just M1, but I can say for a fact that I've gotten several M2 hits with huntress after getting blinded, while seeing no progress made to the achievement.

Haven't tested the other killers, but I suspect that it might be the same case.

So either only M1 works or perhaps only the Ghoul can unlock this achievement, both cases the text needs to be re-evaluated.

M2s generally don't count for achievements or challenges like this, even if the wording suggests they should. So I got it by just equipping a full build for it to ensure being able to catch up to survivors blinding me (at pallets). Brutal Strength, Enduring, Shadowborn, etc.

  • @Shroompy said:

I was thinkin the same thing...

I was taking screenshots of the lobbies so I show the progression, and I was only able to do 3 of em when I expected like 5

Same here. I like to take screenshots of my 3 mains in every new lobby, and was excited to find out that the Blood Moon event lobby would change along with our progress.

I was expecting one for the 275% and 375% milestones too, but would in hindsight have accepted if these didn't get a new lobby if only the 500% milestone did. But alas …

  • 20250421195720_1.jpg 20250421201223_1.jpg 20250421201846_1.jpg

We've reached the last milestone with a little over a week to go, and … the lobby still looks the same? 😓

Has someone forgotten to flip a switch or are we supposed to still be seeing this lobby, which has been around since the 200% Milestone?

I was really hoping for something more to celebrate reaching this milestone. This feels a bit anti climactic especially because the whole 'dynamic lobby' thing that changes based on our progress was advertised as a staple of the event.

  • How about you make your profile here public so we can enjoy all the ######### takes you have.

this doesn’t make any sense. There’s basically no downside to brining an item unless the killer has Franklins/Weave which in my experience is not very common. I don’t understand why anyone would want to purposely make the game more difficult for their team by not being able to heal yourself or repair gens faster

You don't have to understand it. I play the game the way I want, you play the game the way you want. Simple as that :).

  • 20250418202952_1.jpg

    All seems fine to me.

This was a match in which I brought a BPS and one of the survivors had a Terrormisu (107%).

  • @Nathan13 said:

So what is exactly is being tested with this new cap? I just hope we keep it in the game after bloodmoon because it’s very nice. But I need to know whats the purpose of testing a cap??

The expected BP gains from the Blood Moon event are the reason they raised it. Especially once we reach the 500% milestone, I can imagine that blood will be flowing.

And then it's really easy to hit the 2m cap, forcing you to spend a lot of points before you can play a match again. At least now you can game at your own leisure without having to worry about the cap. At least not as much as normally.

  • @Gryzelda said:

I prefer to hoard them. They are mine and only mine.

    This is the way.

  • That was probably before the release of patch 8.6.2. It's now correctly displayed as 5 million.

  • Because most of the time I simply don't feel like bringing anything.

There are chests in the environment where I can get something from, too.

  • 20250417203513_1.jpg

It would've been nice if you could earn both Objective points as well as Event points from Blood Gens, like you do with normal ones.

Right now, the only event points Survivors can earn are from filling the can (100 without offering, 200 with) and completing a normal gen (1000 points without offering, 2000 with, on top of the normal Objectives points).

  • You are still technically disconnecting from the match, just without incurring the associated penalty. It would seem that the game has not (yet) made the distinction between actually quitting and using the surrender feature.

i could have sworn it was 8 meters…I wonder if I'm thinking about a different add-on on either him or another killer.

Perhaps you're thinking of Wraith's add-on, "All Seeing" - Blood, which reveals Survivor's auras within 8 meters of him while cloaked.

As for Myers, the only other related add-on is the Vanity Mirror which lets him see Survivors in a 16 meter radius around him, and that has also been that way since his release.

  • @BirdiePlays said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3911499#Comment_3911499

yes actually I WOULD. Compared to constant wall hacks with no cooldown. Scratch mirror mikey at least has to stalk through a wall at 8 meters, piggy (believe at 12?) slowdown is better compared to smacking items out of survivors hands. we can't stop killers from using their addons permanently, so why should they be able to take our items?

    32 meters.

Scratched Mirror gives Myers aura reading in a 32 meter radius around him.

  • On Nemesis I'm using an Omega Chaser build, of sorts.

Bamboozle - Brutal Strength - Enduring - Superior Anatomy

The whole point of this build is to stay in chase as much as you can. Vault windows faster and not lose survivors, get rid of pallets faster (especially if they happen to stun you), etc. No gen defense, pure brute chase force.

Add-ons can be anything, I just like to run Marvin's Blood + Licker Tongue because I'm original like that.

On Dark Lord I've been running a Devour build.

Dominance - Hex: Devour Hope - Hex: Thrill of the Hunt - Hex: Undying

Essentially this entire build is just Devour Hope with 3 things to protect it. For add-ons, I found the two yellow ones that increase Teleport distance and speed to be quite useful since it allows you to patrol and defend totems more easily.

  • "Added a new Killer scenario: 10 minutes after the last generator is completed, the Killer has the option to Surrender."

Why would they, if they can just open the exit gates themselves at any time and trigger End Game Collapse?

  • And yet there are people saying DBD should be free to play.

It was free to claim on Epic some time ago and look where that got us.

  • 20250413125249_1.jpg

At the very least you should be able to see the full amount of an item, add-on or offering in this pop-up window. "Worn-Out Tools x 2500" or something. Or just a number displayed in the top right or bottom right corner.

  • I find this combo to be much more enjoyable to go against than the average quad slowdown build.

The Killer sacrifices 2 slots of potential gen slowdown in favour of aura reading. Aura reading which is not entirely on demand and can be countered rather easily:
    → 12 meters around an item, but the aura of the item is visible to you + you know Weave is in play because it shows the debuff icon;
    → Items can be picked up and moved somewhere else, where the perk's value is greatly reduced;
    → This combo relies on people bringing items in the first place, and if they catch on you're down 2 perks for the rest of the match;
→ If you see this combo so often, consider running Object of Obsession. Even if you're not the Killer's obsession, Object still reveals their aura to you every time yours is revealed to them, giving both parties permanent wallhacks on each other.

know I will get dragged by keyboard warriors but here it goes my venting session.

The game has got to the point where it’s just not fun anymore. The tunneling has got out of control, the killers are getting more and more overpowered, the toxicity of the community is so bad, and when you get so mad/frustrated it takes over an hour to calm down….thats just bad news. I’ve been playing this game since year 3, so don’t bring up “how many hours do you have?” “Get good” or the other crap like that. I’m more upset because the game used to be a lot more balanced and fun….just don’t like where it has gone and it’s truly sad

IMO, the Ghoul is just a Wesker on steroids

"and when you get so mad/frustrated it takes over an hour to calm down….thats just bad news."

Sounds like you might have some underlying issues that need to be addressed.

    Also:

    stopplaying1.jpg
  • Sure, I'll ask the devs to put up a notification when launching the game that says: "If you're new, please close this game right now because somebody called 'imabakedpot8o' doesn't want you to be here".

Imagine not wanting new players to have a positive experience and being granted the tools to better understand what they're playing.

Have you forgotten that you, too, were a noob at one point?

  • Still present in patch 8.6.1.

  • I think in-trial voicelines greatly contribute to the experience, and it's the main reason I decided to play more of Nicolas Cage, Alan Wake and Lara Croft.

What's funnier than you minding your business, suddenly finding yourself in chase and Cage shouting some profanities as you're trying to get to safety?

Or what's more terrifying than Alan Wake screaming for help while on the hook or being carried to a hook, while knowing nobody is able to hear him?

Or Lara's determined and matter-of-fact attitude, inspiring the player to lock in and see it through?

I'm all for voicelines if done professionally. Matthew Porretta, Alan Wake's VA, is an example of that. I don't know what they did to the poor soul in that recording booth, but at times it sounds like they put him in a Jigsaw trap. How awesome would it be if his screams could be heard by others in the trial as well!

  • 20250407175539_1.jpg

And would you look at this! A full Blood Moon cosmetic with, you guessed it, a coloured ink weapon.

  • I hear you. This has everything to do with the fact that Blood Gens are special props. Filling cans and repairing Blood Gens will grant you points in the special fifth event category, but do not count towards anything related to Objectives or the associated Lightbringer emblem. For that, you will have to repair the normal gens.

What's worse is that these point gains are indeed atrocious: you have to be the one completing a blood gen in order to get the points boost (2500 without an Eye, iirc). Just filling one up gives scraps at best, and they should definitely boost this in order to make it worthwile.

  • Yeah, this has been in the game since Knight's release. It's a direct copy paste of Spirit's phasing and left unpolished. Sometimes his terror radius snaps to that position as well for a brief second, which can be confusing.

    @MarbleThrone said:

    https://youtu.be/nqSrUpW9TrE

    Title.

Knight has pretty much always has a weird thing going on when using his power. The fact that they copy-pasted Spirit's phasing mechanic on to him is painfully obvious and makes him look clunky and weird.

    1) When Knight summons a guard, you will see that he briefly disappears from where he is standing. For a split second he appears at the end of the trail before snapping back and spawning the guard.

    2) What's worse is that his terror radius moves with him, causing it to also appear for a split second at the end of the path and disappear from where he is actually standing. This can lead to confusion as people may wrongfully call out any Undetectable perk.

In the above clip you can see and hear both happening. I really hope this gets fixed at some point, because it just looks extremely unpolished.

    PC, Steam, Windows 11.

Did she have any of these perks?

Can confirm. Top screenshot is from before the patch, bottom screenshot is from after the patch.

  • @Emeal said:

How do you guys have so many addons? Do you not spread out your leveling?

In my case, I did get everyone on both sides to at least P3, and licensed characters to P6 for the bloody outfits. But I don't really play most of the characters from the Survivor or Killer roster outside of dailies or tome challenges and so I don't consider it necessary to prestige them any further. I have my 3 mains, a few side-characters, and that's where all my points go. This Blood Moon I will be spending everything on said mains, even if they're already at P100.

  • The bloodpoint bonus from the event is listed as 'Post-Game Bonus' in your scoring. After finishing a match, have a look at the points you've gotten and any bonuses that are applied to it.

You should be seeing at least two things: 'Blood Moon', which refers to the points gained in the special event scoring category (from interacting with blood gens or hooking survivors etc) and 'Post-Game Bonus' (or something along those lines). The Post-Game Bonus contains the 200% multiplier. If it looks a bit higher than you might expect, it is because this scoring category is also used for points gained from BP offerings such as cakes and streamers.

  • 20250409182938_1.jpg

I very much agree with all points made!

While it is 100% a 'first world problem', having your collection of add-ons, and maybe even items and offerings, shown as 999+ with no way of knowing the exact amount is a bit sad. Surely there is a way to revert that back to what it was, while keeping the current UI update intact :)?

Thanks in advance for your consideration.

  • @ButThatBootyTho said:

Cakes, streamers probably. Usually when there is a blood point incentive it says at the bottom in lobby

That would be for the role incentive only, which is a seperate bonus.

The actual Blood Moon community track bonus is applied as well, but not shown anywhere. Well, until after a match when you see all your points. If it doesn't say anything 'Blood Moon' related there, then you can conclude it doesn't work.

But queue/role incentive and the Blood Moon event bonus are two seperate things.

  • @MissiCiv said:

1- Event offerings don't stack, and on top of that, they’re almost completely useless on the killer side. You have to actually find a blood gen, kick it, and hope to get a tiny bit of points. So the offering would do something.

2- Due to several perks not functioning as intended, generators are being completed at an unusually fast rate. Blood gens are completed even faster. If you’re going to keep them this way, then at the very least, there should be six gens to complete instead of five.

3- There’s nothing that can really be called a ‘new feature’ on the killer side. On the survivor side, all that’s changed is that instead of normal gens, you do one or two blood gens. So this is what we’re calling innovation now? Fixing a slightly different generator?

—> Remember the old Blood Moon system? If you had brought that back and mixed it into this gen-focused event, at least it would’ve added some actual excitement.

Let’s be real this event is just for BP farming, and the actually bonus only kicks in when you reach the ridiculous 500x BP cap. By the time that happens, the event might only have a week left anyway. All in all, it’s just a downright awful event.

In regards to point 1: All hooks have been converted into event hooks too, so you get additional points for each hook action on top of the regular points. Points that are doubled when you have the eye equipped.

  • You might want to read this wiki page;

Score Events are used to award Players with Bloodpoints in Dead by Daylight. They are triggered through various actions and interactions that the Player can make during the course of a Trial.
  • This is not a bug.

Artist's crows can inflict direct damage to a Survivor if they are within close range of the dire crow and there are no obstacles in between. Once you summon a crow, you can see an arrow pointing in front of it. This is the crow's flight path. Any Survivor standing in this range will take damage, even when they are not swarmed.

In your first clip, the Feng went down because your crow was aimed through the window. A window does not count as an obstacle in this case, which means she was able to take damage right then and there.

In your second clip, where you test the "bug", you were able to injure and down the Meg because she was within the crow's flight path and this path was not obstructed.

Everything is working as intended here.

  • It has now been officially confirmed as well!

Our most attentive players have already noticed this update, BUT now we are here to confirm: Yes, all non-perk charms within Dead by Daylight are now universal, meaning they can be used on both Killers and Survivors!

    🤩

  • @AmpersandUnderscore said:

These are two insanely wrong sentences.

MfT only works in deep wounds, and is 3% move speed. Power of two requires the survivors to heal each other, is lost when they lose a health state, and is 5%.

So not only can you only have one of these active at a time (this isn't a combo), and neither perk is active "at the start of the game", but even if you could stack them it would be 8% haste for a move speed of 108%. The slowest (non nurse) killer in the game is 110%.

Any survivors running these together are either oblivious to game mechanics or memeing.

Slight correction, Teamwork: Power of Two got a buff in patch 8.3.0 that removed the part where it deactivates upon losing a health state, among other things.

1 … 7 8 9 10 11 … 18
