As much as I would like it to happen, it never happened to me.

Yeah, it does not always happen, I think this is the first time I saw it on the Saloon. No idea whats causing this but let's hope they're looking into it!

  • It's known that MMR tends to be all over the place and not always seems to accurately reflect your skill level. Every killer has their own MMR so changing from your main to a killer you barely play as can give you different results in terms of opponents. I am not sure if MMR 'resets' after a period of inactivity, this is a mechanic which can put you against lower tier survivors in the first match or few matches before it balances out again.

It's good to know that there is also a fill-up mechanic so to speak. The game will start by trying to find survivors within your (supposed) MMR range, but if those are not present at the moment it will broaden its search and pull in survivors from a larger pool. This is done in order to reduce queue times. Of course, MMR does not factor in SWF so a high skilled 4-digit hour survivor can bring in a friend who just bought the game and end up in your lobby.

  • "I don't know of any other killer that makes no noise and is able to stealth their way across the map."

He breathes so loud you could shoot him in the dark.

  • Between the moment you got unhooked and downed again, did you perform any conspicuous action like repairing a generator, healing someone/yourself, cleanse/bless a totem, etcetera? If you do one of these things, the Endurance status effect goes away, but the other effects of the perk (like silencing your grunts of pain) remain active until the 80 seconds are over.

  • Circle of Healing was changed in the most recent patch, it cannot be used to heal yourself anymore. To compensate for that the speed at which you heal others within boon range has increased to 100% and you can see the auras of injured survivors while they are in boon range. So nothing bugged or glitched out, this is intentional.

The perk Self-Care does not affect your medkit healing speed or efficiency, which explains why you did not notice any difference. Please note that in the same patch, self healing was nerfed and using a medkit on yourself decreases its efficiency.

I can recommend to read the latest patch notes so you're up to speed on all the recent changes.

  • Were you afflicted by the Broken status effect maybe? This prevents others from healing you. What perks were you using?

  • Issue 1 is not a bug, Circle of Healing was changed in the most recent patch and cannot be used to heal yourself anymore. It received an additional effect: you are now able to see the auras of injured survivors in the boon range. I think the speed at which you heal others was increased back to 100%.

  • The obvious gigachad meme build is No Mither, Resurgence, Self Care, and Solidarity. You bring four perks and one perk at the same time.

What I sometimes like to do is to only run perks that have the word 'Blood' in them, so that gives you Blood Echo, Bloodhound, Hex: Blood Favor and Blood Warden.

Or I only run perks that have at least one skull in them, that allows for some more freedom as there's plenty of those. Or I run all four Scourge Hook perks at once.

Sometimes I use only the perk Nemesis on Nemesis.

On Survivor side I sometimes do the same but with only portraits, so for example: Alert, Flip-Flop, Unbreakable, Visionary.

So what will y’all do if after you hook them they tried to speed up the hook timer then jump off and become idle again? And like you see them clearly trying to throw the game.

If they want to go next, I am happy to help.

  • I'm somewhat of a completionist myself and currently I am 3 achievements away from 100%: Evil Incarnate, Skilled Huntress (4/20) and Outbreak Breakout (17/20). Right now I am preparing Myers for his, by going from P3 to P6 and focusing on the iri add-ons and Black Wards.

Most of the achievements are tedious rather than difficult in my opinion, such as throwing 1000 hatchets, getting 300 Evil Within tier-ups, etcetera. That one made me stop playing Myers for a while, I got so bored of thim that I paused getting that achievement for some time.

The truly evil achievements like Left For Dead or Hemophobia require more luck than anything, I think. I remember getting LFD because a Ghostface decided to have mercy on me after a 3K, and let me do the last gen and escape through the exit gate. For Hemophobia I left my SWF behind, a debt I have since repaid in full.

It definitely helps to have all perks available on all killers, some killers do things better than others. Doctor, for example, is my go-to 'make survivors scream' killer. Same goes for survivor, having everything on at least one of them and you can make any build around specific actions.

  • AFK survivors are free real estate. Don't ready up when you're not ready, this is not a single player game!

No linking required, you just need to own it on the same platform.

    Awesome, thanks :)!

  • Do you need to link your account in any way like with Hooked On You? Or is it enough to just own the game on the same platform?

  • Yeah, I interacted with the pillar a few times as Survivor but died in the trial every time, and afterwards I did not get any popup. After one match as Killer I immediately got the charm.

  • They tweeted a GIF of this interactable and tagged Meet Your Maker, asking them if they 'lost something'. Other than that there has not been any official announcement. Right now you can only get one charm, and it's easier to do with Killer: just interact with the pillar and finish the trial. As survivor, you need to escape.

The first time I got this the sound effect played exactly at the moment someone placed a boon, so at first I thought they had changed the boon sound 😂.

It might be that they will expand this event in the coming weeks, Meet Your Maker can be preordered now and will release early April.

  • I am getting 'Timeout Created' error messages, and Custom Game does not work either. Does anyone else have these issues?

Platform: Steam, Windows 10, Europe region.

  • Looks like something is wrong, all of a sudden I cannot find any matches anymore...

They have made the cutscene animations unavailable while searching for a lobby

just making sure that you were not readied up (not sure if that would be displayed in the screen..)

seems like it’s a bug introduced with it otherwise..

Checked and indeed, I must have been waiting for a match!

Right after launching the game i went to the archives and could play the scene without issue. Thanks :)!

  • It looks like this is true for every tome cutscene, not just Vittorio's.

  • Can confirm this as well. Bar is red when recovering and mending.

  • During my latest attempt, I thought I had the perfect moment to get this challene, but alas...it was not awarded at the end of the trial. I recorded the match and cut the relevant section: https://youtu.be/wzJAs183vN4

  • Thank you Mandy, all is fixed now!

Please note, there was no pop-up for the doghouse charm, that just appeared in my inventory.

  • Ah, I just booted up the game and it gave me the first charm. Question answered :)

  • Let's hope we get some more clarity soon!

  • Sounds like it may be bugged, then. I don't really want to buy any additional cosmetics until I'm certain that I need only 3, to get to that total of 6 since I already own a set.

  • Can confirm, this has happened to me a couple of times. I don't have any screenshots or recordings though.

I was just about to report the same issue, so will leave my confirmation here. It's not a very safe pallet to begin with, so really no gamebreaking situations should occur here. Though it is still an obstacle, one you want to get rid of eventually.

Confirmed, I got robbed again as well.

Do you guys crash like this?

    https://youtu.be/E4d22nBrcpw

Not quite, I get a black crash report screen with the unreal engine logo in the top left corner. "Our apologies for crashing amids your killing/surviving spree" is what it says.

  • For good measure, today I did not experience any crashes. I had verified the game files in Steam and also turned off the recording software (NVIDIA). I am not sure if this worked but so far, so good.

  • I am also experiencing an unusual amount of crashes both for myself and people I go against. Personally I had two crashes in two days and this never happened before. Also survivors randomly disconnect even when they're doing really well as a team and had no reason to disconnect.

  • Had this happen to me yesterday too, seemingly out of nowhere.

I was playing on PC (Steam, Windows 10), as Doctor with the perks Distressing, Oppression, Overcharge, Terminus on one of the MacMillan estate maps (I believe it was Coal Tower). The crash happened mid-match after using a big blast. Nothing weird or out of the ordinary occurred prior to that moment.

  • Apparently the change to Awakened Awareness was them putting the lingering aura effect to 0 seconds rather than disabling it in another way. With Lethal you gain 2 additional seconds and so AA is indeed briefly reactivated. I wonder if they'll address this in a future update.

This is the second part of the mechanic that gave you bonus prestige levels for characters you had prestiged before the progression overhaul. At the time, characters that were level 50 were not granted bonus prestiges even though they could have been prestiged at any time. This update fixes that by giving characters that could have been prestiged but weren't the bonus prestige levels anyway.

e.g. if someone was taking a break from the game at the time and didn't prestige their level 50 characters.

A character that was P3-50 was already at the maximum for the prestige catchup mechanic, so they would have been appropriated awarded bonus prestige levels when 6.1.0 released. Only characters that were level 50 and prestige 0, 1, or 2 are eligible for this second round.

This is interesting, because I noticed that my three mains, who were P3-50 before the 6.1.0. update, also received two additional prestige levels. I checked my screenshots and recordings from before the update and confirmed that these characters (Jonah, Claudette and Artist) were indeed all at P3-50.

The subsequent update automatically boosted them to P9 (which was in line with the catch-up mechanic). Afterwards I manually prestiged all three to P10. Since then I only got to around P10 Level 14 on both Jonah and Claudette after manually unlocking Rebecca and Ada's perks on them. Yet they were still boosted to P12. The same for Artist, who was at P11 and is now at P13.
