Exactly, when I try and hit a survivor, aim dressing or aim assist makes me hit a wall instead, or it cuts my lunge short.
I don't notice any difference between M&K and Controller, not with the aim dressing. Precision killers, sure, but not the spontaneous "I'm just gonna turn around and hit this wall because reasons."

You failed to refute anything I said. I’ll stand by it. If you don’t agree so be it. It’s highly suspect, but you are entitled to your own opinion.
And you failed to answer a very simple question.
If one "red rank" player can run an m1 killer all day long but another, far more common example falls for every trick in the book like a rank 15 used to back in the days when it was slightly difficult to rank up, then ranks don't matter as anything but a measurement of playtime.

Nah, consoles are worse, since you have to play on a controller, and aim dressing ######### you up more than on PC. Even if you have lower FPS on a potato computer.
All aim dressing does is make you hit the first thing in your attack cone
-
If recent video evidence is anything to go by, low-end PC users have it just as bad, if not worse, than console players. So no, PC is not fine.

Also stop using the term “whataboutism”. Comparisons aren’t always logical fallacy just because the two related topics aren’t exactly the same, what’s the point of a comprehensive study if you cannot draw conclusions from the abstracts?
There's no direct comparison, therefore it is "whattaboutism." If OoO somehow directly sped up generators then you may have a point, but it doesn't.

So during the failed MMR, I guess the piles of rank 20 survivor bodies were meaningless. The logic that ranks mean nothing is so faulty
thwre is a direct correlation between rank/time played/skill
Then please try to explain the extreme difference between 2 "red rank" players.
-
Whats the point? Rank means nothing but playtime.
-
That makes no sense. Firstly, because Black Wards are quite rare and it is essentially just another addon because it, too, is consumed. Secondly, because the survivor add-on is far superior. Thirdly, because this way the survivor add-on can still be used potentially til the game's servers are shut down and it no longer receives support, so if their plan was to prevent long-term use then both would be disabled post-event.
-
Yes. I respect the developers attempt to have a whole "Altruist or Survivalist" theme, but at the end of the day it just fuels so much hate and anger and is only hurting the community by pretending that survivor isn't a team-based experience.
-
Honestly, yeah, Legion isn't as bad as people want to think. Sure, they're a basic m1 killer - that quickly injures people and slows down the trial because of both the mending and the disparity between a rapid injure and heal. And their biggest counterplay? Name 1 killer that splitting up, not healing, and doing gens DOESNT work wonders against. Sure, an amazing survivor can toy with you, but that can be said about nearly every killer as well.
Edit: Plus, they have an amazing early game.
-
She has almost half the pick rate. People like winning. So the majority of Pigs are probably decent killers that can stomp most plyers, whereas the majority of Spirits (who is played far more) just want to win games without thinking too hard and thereby lose many more.
That's just pure speculation though, these stats really do mean nothing.
-
So... No? Is that the right answer? I'm a little confused, it sounded like you're claiming that Pop and Discordance are worthless.
-
It's a free kill perk. There's nothing really more to be said: do bones, get 4k'd for wasting so much time. Don't do bones, watch your teamate die. Yay. Fun times.
-
The super abusable nonsense, when it's actually getting abused. I just cringe a little when I see it. It's almost like "Aw, come on, you can do better than that" was made into a feeling.
-
I watched the AH crew play it back in 2016 and went "Yeah, that's a game I'd love to play when I can afford stable internet."
Now I play DbD.

PvP is competitive by nature; even games like Fall Guys are competitive. I think a lot of people are getting balance and competition confused. Anything that involves 2 or more people being pit against each other to achieve a desired result is considered a competition, which explains why people play to win; its just, people care to varying degrees(if they care at all).
This is why you can find Leagues for just about anything, including games that are just meant to be fun(I.E. Paintball, Ultimate Frisbee, etc.). Some people have fun screwing around, others have fun pushing themselves and trying to win. Those who like to compete want the game to be fair and balanced, and some take advantage of broken mechanics to secure the win; meanwhile, players who care less about winning get steamrolled and discouraged because they just want to enjoy their time. This is a problem that most middle-ground games have(and most games are in the middle-ground).
You are so very wrong. People are competitive, not games. Competitive people should stick to competitive games, or (like myself) put aside their competitive nature on inherently non-competative games.
PvP ≠ Comp. That is a fallacy created to justify people bulldozing opponents by using drastically unfair advantages.
-
Because certain people actually hold tournaments in this game for actual, real money. Yeah. I know. Dumb as dumb can get, and they don't see what they are turning the game into, because they just want everything that's PvP to also be competitive.

No. That'd be like saying "Lololol, they're buffing the strongest Killer in the game" because they're fixing/improving blink dead zones.
They are giving the strongest exhaustion perk in the game additional functionality. Directly. By reworking it's interactions. Don't whattabout and compare it to anything else, because there's no comparison. It is a straight up buff because they are, and I cannot stress this enough, DIRECTLY BUFFING THE PERK WITH ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONALITY.
-
And that's what happens when someone takes the stats seriously and doesn't think about WHY he has such a high kill rate compared to other strong killers.
Nurse weak, needs buff.

Their are not changing it but alter it's implementation to work correctly and consistently with dedicated servers.
So they are buffing it. Well, that's intelligent.
-
They... Well, they kind of did some not so great things. No-event-event, unearnable skins, timed add-on, completely out-of-touch replies to community questions, straight-up stat worship, slightly nerfing Discordance...
And that's without the bugs.
There's some positivity in there too. It's just buried a little deep.
-
The statistic worship strikes again.
-
Nope. It's a timed add-on, so I'm just putting all my points into survivor because why waste them on something I won't be able to use in a month?
-
Skill cap, strength, and overall chase... Not potential, but layout? Them and Spirit have a similar chase style - 2 hit downs, but on their terms instead of the survivors.
-
You have got to be kidding me. Out of all the problematic perks in the game, they are going after Dead Hard.
Well, it's something at least.
-
On the one hand, not a fan of whattaboutism. On the other, they are hiding behind stats that they themselves deliberately skewed.
And apparently they skewed them so they could hide behind them.
-
I... Honestly still don't have that. Sometimes, sure, but I sometimes cat hardcore tunnelled when there is an obsession, so... Yeah. It's a thing people definitely do, just cannot say I experience it enough to write home about.
-
The Devs worship the stats and never look at the info behind them. This is nothing new. They don't care about potential, they only care about what their little tiny spreadsheet of kills and escapes tells them. Which even my highschool statistics teacher could tell them is amongst the dumbest things one could ever do.
I generally don't like Dev bashing, it takes a lot of effort and soul to make even a barely functional game, but... That's not something that can be defended.
-
One of the best killers in the game. Only thing keeping him from the top is that he gets hit harder by unfavourable maps than Spirit and Nurse.
-
There's no way to earn the Halloween skins. You just have to buy them. That's really the core issue - last year, gameplay hadn't changed a whole lot but at least the event currency was in the rift. Now there's nothnng to do but farm event items (which are rarer this year).
-
Ah, but these are exclusive. You get to belong to a club that everyone wants in, but you're the special one that made it. You're better than everyone else.
I really, really hate that nonsense, but it drives up community interaction because people wanna be special and cannot rely on themselves to show it.
-
The greatest killers are bad teammates, which the Devs very deliberately flooded every rnak with to make already-worthless stats somehow even worse. I look at these and get depressed that people think they are somehow indicative of balance, when in reality it's noobstomping.
-
These sorts of codes exclude plenty of players. Why specifically target those with disabilities? What about console players? Poor connections? Slow rigs? Low reaction times? Those that just get screwed over by Twitch?
-
It sounds like a nice perk on theory, but it's one of those perks that's just no good against decent survivors. And not because they're broken - it's the lack of protection hits in the first place.
Although it I take so many protection hits for my team that I'm kind of glad most people aren't as altruistic as me, or maybe the perk would be a lot more common.
-
Halloween boogy time.
-
I've played against a couple of Spirits. Good ones still destroy, bad ones have a teeny tiny bit of counterplay. It's a nice start, and I hope they build on it instead of pulling a Surveillance.
-
4th year anniversary, though I missed most of it.

I had one time with trapper (played the iridescent stone addon) where i was 5m behind the survivor and the survivor ran over my unarmed trap at the cow tree pallet and as i walked over it it got armed and i got stunned. I also have to say, that there was more than one unarmed trap left at that moment that could have been armed by the addon.
It happens man :/
I also have a Iri stone story: I was in the corner of the map, next to a half-worked generator, my teammate healed me, I healed them, and just as I finished healing them the trap that was completely hidden in the grass underneath me opened. And the trapper was not in a chase at the time.

Once I had Lery's for the whole day (about ten matches) as both survivor and killer and it wasn't the funniest time.
Was that back when it was reworked and they increased the chance to be sent there?
-
The game itself is improving. The dev-community interaction feels like it's slipping faster than ever, especially with the recent event.
-
Personally, I'd prefer petty snipes and insults coupled with a satisfying and genuinely eventful event than everyone putting aside their differences and losing that little bit more faith in the Dev team.
-
They absolutely shafted everyone and basically have a non-event event that you need to pay money into to ge the cosmetics you could have earned the last few events.
-
I'd love to see their definition of min-spec PC's, because it's certainly not the official one.
-
People that legitimately rush generators then complain about literally anything the killer does, to the point of making things up.
-
To be fair... No kidding. Although it is completely destroyed by the current micro pp build. Slugging with infinite 20 second recovery? Good luck.

Yea but also remember last year literally brought nothign new to the table apart from the fact that the currency could be earned throuhg the rift instead of other ways. This year we've got some pretty wack addons and alot of things from the older events.
It might not be the most "exciting" event but it's definitely far better than some other one's there's been. Most notably last year's halloween one, this year's lunar one and the fact that there wasn't even a winter event this year.
The event nodes are rarer, killers add-ons only last for 2 weeks, and you cannot earn the skins that are the major hype for the event.
-
Uh... I'm gonna go ahead and say he'd make some award-winning chilli.
-
It sounds like I'm being a douche, but the counterplay to that is not get into a situation where that works for them. This isn't something you can just go ahead and do every game, naturally, but if they can just take a hit and run to the side of the map and their team pops the last gen before you can down them... That's not a situation you have control over. The best thing to do is accept the loss and chase them down for an extra hook.
And remember, the best map pressure is a hooked survivor, and the second best is a slugged one. You can potentially down the one that ran, then leave them slugged and come back to try and snowball a mere handful of seconds before the generator pops.

Of course that will still happen.
I’m simply proposing that if there were more options, and existing options worked better, then a killer getting say 2 games in a row of OoO, and thinks “oh... it’s gonna be one of THOSE play sessions is it...”, it’ll be more probable that killers find an option they’re more comfortable equipping if they predict more OoO encounters are likely.
Get what I mean?
Think of the reverse with Survivors facing 2 Docs in a row. Nothing feels sweeter than taking a gamble, equipping Calm Spirit, and it paying off because the next few matches are mostly Doc as well.
Yeah, I get it, but unless the Blindness is tacked on to already-used perks and add-ons then you're just as likely to slap one on and have the killer equivalent of a team with a baby survivor.
