Yeah, there's a few of them. My personal favourite is the LT into LT that has become rather common on the reworked Macmillan maps, those are particularly fun.
And there's the god window they added to the top of Ironworks. And the Groaning Storehouse that you seem to be referencing. But of course , "JuSt BrEaK tHe WaLl" is the counterargument, like that's okay to force the killer to give you massive amounts of distance because you vaulted a window.
Seriously, why are there so many genuinely unplayable things in this game? God pallets, god windows, infinites, mega unsafe pallets... Well, at least the mega unsafe pallets can sometimes get you a stun. And they can be absolutely lovely when chained together.
-
Hold W. Not Freddy-specific, but it works wonders, since his power is in the loop and without a loop he's a basic killer. Waking up is also useful, but you shouldn't go out of your way for it or you might throw the game, similarly to doing totems.
-
Meg, Laurie, David or Bill. All 4 have at least 2 extremely good perks. Meg has 3, so maybe her?
-
I get called out for tunneling a lot, but it's pretty much always by people that have no idea what tunneling is (getting tunnel vision). That being said, if someone abuses DS (going for unhooks, locker DS, gen in my face, etc.) then they are in for a hell of a time. Specifically abusing it, though - I blame the game for the rest and act accordingly, even the classic immortality combo.

Try and be a little more considerate. They’re clearly still struggling with the basics, and what are the right judgement calls to make as killer.
They finally got someone on a hook after a lot of struggle, and wanted to get at least 1 kill out of the match, as any more were unlikely. At least whoever was chased probably maxed out their boldness points.
I used to be considerate, til several people I was helping along turned into some of the cruellest and most narrow-minded players I've had to see. One of them now hates my guts and I had to block them on Steam. So it's better a sharp shock now than becoming the villain of the community.

Watching 4 of them doing the victory dance at the finish line gets old real quick, if and when I get one on the hook I like to make sure I get a kill, helps with the objective rewards too for extra blood points
Except it doesn't: the game actively punishes your score for being too close to the hook.
-
Because how would you feel in that situation? It's just about the cruellest thing a killer can do - losing the game deliberately just to make sure you kill 1 person. Its also extremely lazy as well as rude, and it cements that you will never get better as a player.
Facecamping is basically just robbing 4 people of a fun experience for no in-game gain. Completely miserable to go against, near-zero effort on the killers part, and no real reward for the killer to boot.
-
Not to put too fine a point on it, but how does it feel to get no escapes?
Not so easy to sum up, is it? There's so much that goes into the whole thing , there's so much variance in the already varied variables, that it's more about how well you played than how well you "did." And that's without going into the whole playstyle thing - I can easily get many teams into losing situations, I just often chosoe not to out of (extremely misguided) sense of fair play (aka, I usually don't camp 2 close hooks, etc.) And yes, that is an extremely misguided sense of fairness and I honestly shouldn't play that way, but on the other hand I get extremely bored and I do know what it's like to go against a merciless killer as a survivor, so...
-
A complete overhaul of the pip system that actually acts as an accurate win/loss, taking into account everything it possibly could (perks, items, add-ons, other players MMR, SWF status, offerings, map, killer, loops, and even spawn positions) and awarding pips based on how well you do in those odds with the advantages you have (if any).
Perfect? No. Better than this arbitrary kills/escapes nonsense the community currently uses? Much. And at that point, who cares about meta perks or map offerings or keys/mori's - if you did better than the rest, you get the win, whether you were sacrificed, got a 4k, or anything in between.
-
If the MMR system had worked as intended, you can be sure people would be seriously talking about buffing Spirit, Hag and Nurse.
Killers aren't OP. Bad teammates are. Its just rare to get decent teammates so solo players almost never get the power trip that is winning against good killers with minimal effort. Which kind of makes any functional matchmaking system genuinely scary.
-
I'm probably never going to stop saying it: John Constantine. Especially with the occultism that's been introduced in Felix's backstory.
But, that's a liscence held by Warner Brothers and currently being leased to CW, so...
-
Look, I don't want to load into a trial and immediately have to mute everyone, I dont want a other excuse to sandbag (muting before speaking), and I certainly don't want the intended effect of suddenly everyone being an average SWF team, because the game WILL NOT ever be balanced around that.
Seriously, it won't. The Devs will look at the stats and go "Ahh, perfection, let's ignore the fact that all the kills come from teammates accidentally or deliberately throwing the game."

That's why I pretty much said "only toxic ones" and not whole community of killer mains
You didn't, actually. If that's what you intended to say, I suggest a quick title edit.
And I would also suggest Locker DS, if you truly think the absolute stupidity that is the Ebony Mori counters DS. Locker DS has literally zero counterplay.
-
What gives players the right to have an entire minute of invulnerablity?
What gives you the right to assume that even half of all killers act the way you want to assume?
If someone wants to win, fine. Run whatever. But don't complain when someone else does as well, and have an open mind about how strong and counterable what you are using truly is.
-
Oh, gods, no. Not even for a solo player. It's just too much info, and too much of a head start, with no real downside. My teams escape rates go up every time I equip this perk, and I'm solo.
-
But the game is clearly killiver sided and the Devs don't care. Us survillers never get any attention and they're going to lose all their playerbase if the don't fix kori's. Mey's are totally fine and balanced, though. Also, all killivers are toxic and their opinions don't matter.
-
No. Unlike a lot of people, I actively attempt to discard my personal bias, and have come to the conclusion that everyone sucks equally. Especially when some stuck-up player blames their console teammates or a console killer for whatever went wrong and completly ignored that they played like shite as well.
Seriously, the post-game chat can be so revealing as to people's actual nature.
-
Yeah, killers are so overpowered that 4 decent survivors steamroll all but 3 of them.
Wait, what?
Oh, yeah. That's right: It's bad teammates that are overpowered, not the killer. Huh.
-
While I agree with buffing Wraith, I just want to say that OoO is the only perk that hard counters stealth. Spine Chill has counterplay - the activation cone is smaller than your FoV, so you can walk slightly sideways with them just in your vision and Spine Chill won't go off.
Edit: Not sure about Premonition. Maybe it does.
-
If by best you mean strongest, then Nurse. If by best you mean which killer I prefer, then Blight and Slinger. It's a toss up between the two. Used to be Plague, but the sheer amount of robbed hits she gets is just intolerable.
-
It will have the same interaction as Undying, and I'm fairly certain it's from the killer, and only the killer. Sole Survivor is a very, very bad perk, though, so it's hard to say as it's run so little.
-
There's some really fun ones. PWYF/Enduring/Nemesis/Dark Devotion is decent and wierd.
-
Kindred is a perfectly strong perk, SWF or no. There's no replacing physical aura's, only poor substitution that can ape the effect.
-
@ToxicMyers said:
no. Thats like one of the worst things they could do. Adrenaline is balanced
Not really. Anything that gives a completely free heal for doing your normal objective isn't exactly balanced.
-
So we have a couple of weeks with no sabo squads? I'm down for that.
-
... this changes the reason for the 18+ rating.

I mean stats don't lie. 50 million kills vs 6.7 million escapes lol
Stats do lie, actually. Especially those ones, which were the stats from archive challenge games, where people would throw the game to get their challenge.
-
I try to play as much of both as I can, but I've been drifting more anr more to survivor just because it's way, way easier and chill.
Although the time of day I play means almost every killer trial has a 3-person SWF (thanks, Steam friend's list), so that may be why.
-
I wouldn't remove any one survivor, but I'd love to remove specific outfits for a couple of them. To be precise, Blendette and Blendadam.
-
I'm just gonna go ahead and say you are exaggerating to the point of outright lying. You've already very clearly shown you have no idea what tunneling is in previous threads, there have been multiple examples of survivor favouritism in the recent patch (god windows are back, yay!) and event (killers first ever usable event add-on is time locked, yay!), they genuinely attempted to change PH's chase, and to top it all off if you are getting such janky hits in every trial then the common denominator isn't the fact that killers exist.
I love survivor. Honestly, I prefer it to killer these days, so so much for my being an impartial non-main. But... Don't do this. Just don't. Us vs Them nonsense is why we still have crap like Mori's, Spirit and NOED.
-
That's normal. People stop playing til something new happens. It doesn't help that this "event" hasn't really brought anyone back, but the next chapter probably will.
-
And killers aren't allowed to use Spirit, Nurse, Freddy, Hag, Slinger, Pyramid Head, Iri Heads, NOED, Devour Hope, Iri Seal, Black Insence, Pop, Ruin, BBQ... The list goes on.
And yet there's no issue whatsoever with anything survivors can bring.
Maybe it's not a killer thing. Maybe it's a player thing and shouldn't be turned into another Us vs Them argument.

Spoken like someone who never tried the new addons. The survivor one barely does anything.
... Sure.
-
The downside to the DC penalty: bugs, bugs and bugs. Oh, game crashed? Get a better internet connection, scrub, and stop ruining my experience in this very casual game. Also, I'm just gonna ignore the fact that you have a fast and stable connection and also a beefy rig. Also, move countries so you're right next to a server. (/s)
Why penalties are implimented this way I have no idea. The penalty should never rise to such ridiculous levels. 5-15 minutes, sure. I think I got a 2-hour one after a crash a day 3 days in a row. That's as high as it's gotten for me, and even then I rarely get crashes. But 72 hours? That makes no sense.
-
Because why play M1 simulator when you can just do whatever and move on to the next game while some absolutely pleasurable person pretends they won a prize or something.

Oh wow! I can only hope one day my survivor play can be called 'godlike' but I don't know how to loop ;w; lol! Also, I'm happy to hear that! Blood warden is a rare treat that makes me anxious af, because I know my team needs me but that gate is inescapable, so I gotta choose survival or altruism!
Honestly, it'll happen sooner than you think. Give yourself a few months of playing safe but pushing the boundaries and you'll be the bane of nearly every killer.
Of course, it's up to your teammates to capitalise on that, but who can blame them for watching the show from the sidelines?

I tend to run Botany Knowledge, Self Care, Desperate Measures, Leader (so I ca be healed faster by others)
I honestly feel like Leader and Self Care are more interchangable than complimentary in that build, but at the same time you are literally covering all bases in the healing department.

23,5%
see above tables. SC reduces the DM and Botany buff as well
Negatives are multiplicative, positives are additive. It's a baseline .47 extra charges a second.

I like using Botany Knowledge + Desperate Measures + Self Care, that way I can always heal others and myself super fast.
That and Kindred has been my standard build for weeks. No matter what, you're healing at +47% speed.
-
I don't like what they tried to get away with. They really could have just recycled last year's, and instead they didn't even bother with that.
-
I honestly haven't noticed anything, but if it's true then I guess that's a good thing.
Wierd that I haven't noticed, though. Maybe it's a bug that isn't effecting everyone? Or maybe I aim longer than I realise? Or maybe I just don't take enough long-range shots.

In what way does OoO not speeding up gens have anything to do with this thread discussion? I don’t believe the effects of gen perks was even a comparison being made in this thread.
That’s why you should stop using the term, because now your just maligning the intentions of the OP.. As most people do when they use it as a dismissal of arguments.
OoO and gen speeds are incomparable, because they have nothing to do with each other. You are whattabouting by pretending they are. To be honest, you genuinely don't seem to understand the term, so I'll be blunt: It's when you look at 1 thing, see that it's fits with your definition of "unfair," but instead of talking about fairness you look at another and go "But so is this, so that's where I'll try to make my point."
In other words, you saw 2 killer gen nerfs and went "but WHATTABOUT object of obsession?"
And... Seriously, that is what happened in this title. You're trying to compare 2 things that aren't related, because OoO has nothing to do with generators. Now, if you had been complaining about Resiliance or Prove Thyself, it wouldnt be whattabouting, because those perks affect the issue you led with. Whereas OoO, as I have repeatedly stated, has nothing to do with gen speeds and therefore using "gen nerfs" to justify OoO nerfs is, once again, whattabouting.
-
To be fair, his stealth would be almost worthless even if it were two minutes. Well, except for the lack of red stain, but I honestly don't know if that would be a nerf or buff.
-
Some of the walls make the specific loop they are at far more survivor sided, but in general they are still a very balanced set of maps. The RNG dictates the advantage more than anything.
-
I mean, what else is there? Another outfit? It certainly can't be anything advantageous like an ACTUAL increased chance for good bloodpoint nodes, not after the games been out for so long with no benefit for prestige. That's called "screwing over most of your playerbase."
-
I think perhaps you need to learn how to adequately express yourself, because apart from your first point, everything you just said is perfectly normal counterargument.
Also not sure why you assume everyone on the forums, for an 18+ game, is a highschool student. Though for the record, English was one of only two classes I excelled at and the only reason I have my worthless little diploma, the other one being Statistics (which is why I am crying on the inside at the number of people taking the Devs overarching stats seriously.)
-
Uh... Slowly bleed to death over the course of 4 minutes? That's pretty much the only thing you can do. I usually tab out and work on something else while I wait. Sucks, but there's nothing to be done without breaking the game balance.
-
What? No, OoO is perfectly fine and doesn't need a change according to the Devs, so I feel absolutely no guilt whatsoever knowing exactly where the killer is and what they are doing at all times with no real disadvantage to myself. Perhaps I'll get myself some SWF buddies and share the info with them as well, because clearly the stats show it's totally fine and actually underpowered.
In case I wasn't sarcastic enough, I'll also be t-bagging my apologies in the exit gate, with a side helping of "GG ez" for "good game you lovely individual."

Come on, you know me a little bit better than that. There is no way you think I believe that red ranks are the epitome of skill. I am just saying reds are better than the previous colors except purple. Because both of them are iffy. And regardless my whole point is to say ita not fair that a red rank even if they should be green goes up against browns who are just starting
And what you are avoiding saying is that the only correlation between rank and skill is a higher concentration of skilled players at higher ranks. In the sense that the 1/100 becomes 1/75.

No I said new players. Don't twist my words. Also only purples should be going against reds anyone else shouldn't. That's why you see so many people complain about how they are bullied, with PROOF
I've seen plenty of people with a mere few hundred hours sitting in red ranks. I've even seen a few with less than a hundred. And you know what? They get absolutely bulldozed because they have no idea what is going on and shouldn't be in red ranks, but the Devs wanted it to be easier to rank up, and even stated that ranks were nothing but a personal victory rather than a measure of skill.
