Can't say I haven't seen it happen. I remember going against a Huntress who was tunneling David hard and we all had to come bodyblock to protect him.
I think it's a natural instinct for newer players because the people I've seen camp and tunnel the most is indeed the newer ones, this Huntress had like only one perk unlocked but David was also a newbie. And Huntress is free from the start so it's only natural new players would play her, and most often than not they do get away with it if left unchecked. (not just Huntress, anyone who tunnels even if they're simply new)
Ah okay that explains a lot in this case then as I have seen a lot of obviously new killers start their killering career hard camping and tunnelling as they assume that is how everyone must play the game lol. Probably a good point that so many are Huntress as she is indeed free and quite popular too

I'm sorry, it was just too good to pass up. 😂
Ah when you put it like that, fair and I respect that
-
I do get it and the amount of hard camping and tunnelling off hook is pretty ridiculous lately. I get it, this is an effective tactic but I cant stand playing like this and I play both sides so I understand killer can be rough.
I think the devs get it though as they have made BT basekit and various perks to discourage tunnelling off hook etc.
Funny story, the other day we had a Bubba who tried Insidious camping but the first survivor had Kindred so he failed. He got me next but rage quit when he realised team mates were not stupid and did the gens so they could get out while I struggled every last second to buy them time lol

I guess it's because most often than not if they can hit their hatchets they can get more than 1 kills that way but this one decided to throw (besides Yui she only has one more hook on Rebecca who funnily enough brought the offering and in the end still escaped)
Huntress is a pretty effective camping killer too I guess but I just find an unusually high number of them will camp and hard tunnel for the most trivial reasons or no reason at all

And this is exactly why they will continue to keep the good stuff locked up behind micro-transactions.
"Yeah, it's a s--t sandwich...but it doesn't smell as bad as it used to...I'll probably still buy one...because I'm hungry..." 😂🤣
I buy sweet FA off them, so it is kinda ironic you would choose me for that response lol
I don't buy cosmetics etc, it is all a waste of money
-
Why is it always a Huntress who does this lol? Are they all part of a subreddit or something?

Disagree. Until BHVR fixes the issues with maps that are way too dark that they continue to refuse to fix, this is an accessibility issue. People need to be able to adjust the brightness to make the game playable
Yeah I cant use ultra settings as the shadows are far too intense and I cant see unless I use filters. My PC is more than capable of running at ultra but I use low so I dont have to use filters due to heavy shadows
-
Possibly but from my observations it seems to be that most of my random team mates are absolutely clueless against her. Guaranteed the second I unhook them they will run and set off the trap I just crouch walked over to not set off...
I used to play her a fair bit a couple of years ago and against smart teams who understand her counters, playing Hag is utter pain
-
There will always be latency, it is just a part of gaming online and something you just have to accept. Sometimes it will work in your favour, other times not
-
Yeah in all fairness while it is obviously a monetisation tactic, it is still a lot better than it was before. I may even waste my money and unlock premium just because I am actually playing again and I cannot say no to (not really) 'free' cosmetics
-
Honestly if the killer is that insecure they want to waste a perk slot with Franklin's, they probably need it in all honesty .
I have run it in the past though but not very often, it is such a mean spirited perk too lol
-
Okay well thankfully this appears to have resolved itself. I went into the new rift to check it out and that seemed to force an update on my account and the purchased BP appeared now.
-
Nah not really, I no longer see him as often as I did which makes him far less annoying to me. I get sick of any killer I see too often and currently Wesker is that killer

thank you for confirming...and I do the same!
Lol yep
Like I say, I am not that bothered I will go through making a proper bug report but I was wondering if others had this issue. I guess I will avoid the Shrine in the meantime
-
@Mandy said:
Were you at the BP cap?
No, I spend them as fast as I get them
-
Actually this being a visual bug is still a problem since there is no way to know what side you should be joining for the extra BP. I will play either side depending on which one has extra BP
-
Honestly I do get the complaints but again, cosmetics are a waste of money so if you get duped into wasting your hard earned money I find it hard to be angry at BHVR for this.
Plus in all fairness I do understand the mentality of people wanting limited edition cosmetics, there was a time when I would have sold my first born to get legacy lol.
The best thing you can do is refuse to spend your money should you object. I also think it is worth considering BHVR probably need to find other ways to monetise the game, as we are reaching the point where the sheer number of killers/survivors/perks is becoming absurd and they cant keep releasing chapters every quarter (or can they?!).
-
@LapisInfernalis said:
Note: it's only a visual bug. They are still active and when they change values, you will see them for one match.
Ah well that is good, restarting after every match is a bit annoying
-
Yeah I just had this too on PC, killer was either console or Windows/Epic so it is not platform related. Got no DC penalty either
Seems that as usual this last patch fixed a whole lot of bugs and introduced a whole lot of new ones lmao
(can't slam BHVR for this, it seems to happen with updates in pretty much every game).
-
If people don't get sucked into wasting their money on cosmetics then this will never be an issue. I get it, I have wasted my money on cosmetics in the past but I will only take the free ones now.
BHVR are out to make money which is fair enough, so of course they are going to engage in tactics to extract money wherever they can while not completely destroying their reputation with the player base.
-
Happening on PC too
-
The only change I really cared to see was removing the ability for survivors to clicky clicky at killers (plus macro) as it was used entirely to annoy killers/BM.
-
I absolutely despise Trickster, it is one of the cases where I pretty much go next as I find him extremely irritating to play against. It isn't that he is OP, it is that his spamming knives is very irritating, much like the chains on Pinhead are very annoying imo
I feel he is a bad design that was only made to cynically pander to the Korean market
-
Lol... not sure how it could have even been abused but I guess they decided it needed fixing (as I am pretty sure you can still hit survivors anyway).
-
Twins is one of my most despised killers as the optimal way to play them is so unfun (slug and camp slugs).
Hag has been kinda ruined by the boon/healing meta, large maps and also people hate her so DC's are common. Though I personally don't mind Hag I understand why people dislike her and so many random team mates appear clueless as to how to play against her
-

Her skill ceiling is not that high but yeah, the skill floor has dropped significantly now that she is fixed. It's DH validation on steroids.
Totally disagree about skill ceiling, the fact is most survivors are potatoes and even playing walking Nurse you will win. However I do agree the skill floor has dropped as I pretty much stated. But against the minority of truly good survivors only the truly skilled Nurse players will do well and even I can make most Nurses give up on chasing me, simply because I know how to play her to a fairly high level
-
Funnily enough I think one of the biggest buffs she got was when they finally got around to actually fixing her. As someone who played her since before she had any cooldown, I found one of the hardest things about Nurse was dealing with all her bugs and knowing all the dead zones in maps etc.
Now Nurse actually works as she was meant to, it makes her far more accessible for average players. Though I still maintain that actually getting really good with her still takes a long time and (the small minority of) truly good survivors will destroy most Nurse players.
-
If you are constantly getting bad team mates you may have low MMR yourself so are being matched with other low MMR players. Another reason that affects everyone is the recently released RE chapter that no doubt brought in a whole lot of new players, so you inevitably will be matched with newer players who are obviously inexperienced
-
I pretty much only play solo and while the game is far less unfair to killers now (which makes solo harder), I am enjoying solo survivor for the most part.
There has been an influx of new potatoes with the last RE chapter and that tends to make solo more frustrating. But I otherwise find it more enjoyable than I have in years
-
Would be great if they added an option to just auto fill the bloodweb if you don't care and just want to skip through it
Though I am never going to complain about having more BP as the grind is still bad but a hell of a lot better than it used to be
-
Jeez I get Gideon with Trapper and I want to just quit, terrible map for any M1 killer as far as I am concerned and I don't notice any difference. It is as awful as it always has been since the rework
-

Because Its 1vs4? It's not 1v1.
This x100
-
I don't think it is a case of skill issue if people complain about it, I still win most of my games against these teams but it is an incredibly un-fun experience and a win feels hollow since it was not fun getting it. I suspect that is the issue for many people when facing bully squads - they often throw due to being thirsty for flashlight saves and altruism but they also prioritise making the killers life miserable
-
One thing I will say about Wraiths is I find a lot of them seem to be the worst offenders for tunnelling and hard camping and you most definitely need to expect NOED
But personally I hate going against Twins, Trickster or Pinhead far more
-
@ProfessorDunwich said:
Matches against bully squads in this game are legitimately some of the worst gaming experiences I have had, ever.
Same here and I think a lot of people feel this way, which is why survivor queues were insanely long before incentives and the much needed nerfs to things like DH etc.
It is also how many of us Nurse mains were created lol...
-
Trouble is if killers are determined to tunnel off hook they seem to really commit to the tunnel from what I can tell and will not stop until they get that person back on the hook again. Sad state of things really and hopefully there is some way to discourage the hard tunnel even more
-
I run this build on Nurse and it causes a lot of confusion lol. Get quite a few grabs with no TR as well and survivors rarely DC since it isn't as annoying as Nurse often can be with lots of slowdown etc
Edit: that isn't range addon btw, it is the one that gives undetectable (Bad Mans Last Breath) which just adds to the no TR insanity
-
Lithe, Dance with Me, Off the Record and Lucky Break
-
I find that if you trap the same survivor twice that has a 50/50 chance of resulting in a DC...
I really enjoy playing Pig and it is great her hats are a built in slowdown (that is often ruined with unfortunate RNG) but at the end of the day she is just an M1 killer that will eat many pallets and run many loops against moderately decent survivors.
-
I get it, I would be lying if I said I don't do it myself but I do try not to. But because I have done so I don't get angry when others do as I get it and when I get the 5th Wesker in a row and my team mate kills themselves first hook I feel kinda relieved that I have an excuse to yeet outta that match lol
-
Pain Res is so strong, especially since you can kill two birds with hooking and regression at the same time. In fact I only run it on my Nurse when the team looks sweaty as it can be a bit oppressive if you are getting a lot of downs fast and I know I don't enjoy going against that as survivor.
If it is effective then people will use it, whether it be a survivor or killer perk
Edit: I very rarely face survivors who even attempt to sabo these hooks too, so that isn't even a consideration
-

I just went against a camping pig at start of match 5 Gens face camping I asked him why he said we shouldn't bring flashlights in the lobby I then looked at his build he had light born on Franklin's starstruck the killer should not be able to change perks when in the lobby with the survivors that's unfair
If a killer brings say Lightborn because survivors have flashlights... they probably are not the best at killer in the first place and need all the help they can get. You could change killers in the lobby of course but now you have to back out entirely if you want to change killer
-
Nurse is my main killer and I have to say I have zero respect for people who play Nurse and resort to tunnelling, particularly at 5 gens. I have learned to not get so annoyed by it as a survivor and especially when gens are flying and the killer is weak. But I personally will go out of my way to not tunnel someone off hook, as I have at least some empathy and know how horrible that feels.
But if you clicky clicky or try to BM me, I will make your match short and miserable but people rarely do this when you are decent with Nurse.
-
I am no BHVR fanboy by any means but I sometimes almost feel bad for them as most events people give them a lot of grief that isn't really deserved. Just my opinion, nobody has to be happy or whatever and that is totally fair. I generally don't care unless all I get is a stupid charm since I have zero interest in them personally lol

Because you could save those 40k shards for the pass to get 1,000 Cells, and use those 1,000 Cells to buy a Licenced Chapter completely free of charge.
Which they would never do as they have to pay for licenced characters...
-
In an RNG based game like this, the other side can play extremely well and still lose simply because the RNG was so unfavourable
-
Thankfully this will never happen either way...
-
Honestly cannot imagine how this would even work since they are completely different genres and themed games... but okay, still interested. Used to love PUBG in the day but ironically cheating ruined it for me personally
-
I returned recently, played for 10 hours a night til dawn then don't play again for a week lol...
I used to play this game daily for a stupid amount of hours but I no longer care for grinding, winning or what rank/grade I am and I enjoy it more as a result.
-
Solo has always been rough and when you have new chapters from a big franchise like RE you get an influx of new potatoes to make solo even more miserable. I find solo more fun than it has been in years tbh... it is harder but then killers had it pretty rough until recently and now killer is a lot better I get games instantly at any time.
I actually like that the perk meta has been completely shaken up too, it motivates me to actually use perks I previously would have ignored due to the meta being so strong it made no sense to not run meta only.
