Yeah, the fact that you are never going to injure survivors with drones. It's huge waste of time trying to go for it.
It's never going to work outside of chase anymore and any decent survivor will force you to M1 over taking hit by drones even if you somehow get there.
Also Blidness is not really a big deal anyway imo.
Do you have to get an injure though? I know a single Trickster knife is enough to apply 3rd seal.

Just curious... what was the point of DCing if you were gonna watch all this? Shouldn't you have bled out b4 5 gens were done?

I mean, you can't say no one.
I've definitely given up an escape to killers who had a rough game, and will usually offer my item if I have one.
I remember a game where Myers carried me to the open gate and I crawled back in to give him the mori he brought. We both gg'd at the end, and I consider both of us to have been good sports about the match.
I may be the minority, but I generally don't care if I escape or not, if the match was fun and played fairly.
I basically have no issues with matching the energy of the other team of the same match, but a lot of people seem to either A) sweat like crazy and then complain that the other team is also playing competitively, or B) get demolished and then take that out on the next match.
And, at least for killers, it baffles me that people don't seem to have the game sense to realize they're up against an uncoordinated team / solo q. I guess if all you care about is winning, then take your easy W, but MMR will just give you sweatier games too.
What you described though is essentially the equivalent of a killer giving hatch rather than going easy on them. You finished the game already, the only thing your changing is the end.

The penalty for giving up on hook is specifically targeted at SoloQ, SWF don't do that so it's something that is only going to make SoloQ even more miserable. Guaranteed, people are going to stop playing SoloQ Surv, literally because of the penalties they'll get and because of the possibility of penalties ontop of no actual improvements to the game balance in any meaningful way.
What's going to be left? Killers facing even more SWF's, which is going to continue to worsen game quality as it's quite clear that BHVR has no interest in actual health improvements for the game, just on preserving their own behinds at the expense of the community. We can check back if these changes are implemented after some time and see how much worse the game has become for Killers and SoloQ.
This isn't really a Solo Qvs SWF thing. A SWF not wanting to screw over their friends with bad behavior doesn't mean they have an advantage over a selfish Solo Q teammate who doesn't care about their teammates. This is a behavioral thing. You shouldn't be doing this whether your teammates are on comms with you or not.

There will not be refunds on perks or the character, whilst I understand the sentiment, you've had opportunity to use the perks prior to the removal in April.
If you do not own the character, the perk names will change to the general perk names that they will receive. If you own The Cenobite, you will retain the perk names and flavour texts.
Would the perks be unlocked on new killers, or would they have to be unlocked through the bloodweb like normal general perks? Does getting them through shrine help in that part?

Yes, it is the responsibility of EVERYONE.
Survivors have no excuse—if 3 gens pop and there are 0 hooks the team needs to evaluate the state of the game.
- How many pallets have been thrown/are left (do we need to keep pressure because we've burned through all our resources)?
- Did we 3-gen ourselves (should we work on a gen near the killer/unsafe)?
- Does it look like this chase will end soon (can I position myself for unhook/rescue)?
If survivors find that they have a comfortable lead, they should absolutely reduce their gen efficiency and take time to do totems, watch how their teammate loops the killer, take chase themself, or practice some skill they want to develop (in my case, learning how to look behind me on controller—not an easy adjustment from KBM).
Again, there is no black & white answer to these situations. Players need to use their experience to make judgement calls, but the responsibility is on all of us.
If you cannot identify when there is a major skill gap between you and your opponent, you're either still learning and shouldn't worry about such things OR you're apathetic to the effects you have on those around you and I would STRONGLY encourage you do some self-reflection.Unfortunately, ppl don't really play like that. Killers never see survivors go easy on them when they're having a rough match, so they arnt likely to return the favor. It's actually typically the other way around... Alot of survivor teams if they see there's an unexperienced killer will drag a game out and make it as unbearable as possible with flashlights and bodyblocking. Killers gotta just bare with it or eat a DC penalty since they can't call it quits until the survivors finish the last gen.

Playing a multiplayer game and treating your opponents like AI punching bags is toxic.
In any competition, kicking your opponents when they are down is regarded as poor sportsmanship and is far from a behavior which should be celebrated, supported, or encouraged.
The only reasonable case that can be made here is that DBD is a game of momentum, and it is in the spirit of competition for either side to maintain their momentum in order to achieve victory. It is up to individual players, based on their experience (and their experiences), to determine the necessary course of actions to maintain such momentum.
Players who knowingly exceed the necessary course of actions for victory are poor sports, and WE THE COMMUNITY should forever challenge each other to be better competitors in order to cultivate a more enjoyable experience for all.
While it is neither my place, nor anyone else's, to determine what is considered appropriate to achieve victory, it is important that we continue to remind everyone that we are all here for a good time and we do not tolerate those who use this game as a means to harass and deminish others.So... this whole "if your winning too fast, you should slow down" argument for EVERYONE? If the killer isn't getting downs fast enough, are you also advocating survivors should get off gens?

People can downvote your post for any reason they want. I downvoted your post because reading the same complaint over and over again with more speculative "skill issue" commentary is low quality in my opinion.
What skill issue commentary? I didn't even discuss the chases or anything, just that it's weird to give up on first hook immediately against a killer who is almost universally considered fair in chase.

Yeah, I agree with that. Everyone has different tastes and strengths and things. One person that can easily deal with a perk or a killer could be really difficult for someone else. The penalty should be helpful, and I’m assuming certain perks like slippery meat or things similar that are in play that it will be balanced differently around it.
In any case, sorry you got DCs! Thats unfortunate.
I got 3 failed games in a row before I finally came to the conclusion that my fun Pig games wasn't happening and just turned off DBD that day. Pig OP, plz nerf.

True. I guess there’s just so many factors that it becomes pretty much impossible to try and “fix” everything cause at the end of the day anyone can find a justification to do anything for any reason. Humans kinda suck like that I guess lol.
Hopefully the stricter penalties will help.
Were never going to get to the point where everyone universally agrees every perk, addon, killer, and map are perfectly balanced and fun. You kinda have to just do what BHVR is doing and setup both a penalty WHILE tweaking balance things instead of waiting for AFTER perfect balance is achieved.

I’m really cautiously optimistic about it. For me, It definitely depends on how the system will detect it and things like that. It does feel a bit like treating the symptoms and not the cause, similar to gutting skull merchant without tweaking any of the reasons that people found frustrating/difficult. I dont want another SM situation. The fact that she is still in the gutter is really upsetting and unfair for her mains. But yeah, for the most part I’m excited to see what we have in store!
The problem with fixing the cause in this case is sometimes... the cause is ridiculous. I get ridding the game of OP stuff, but if your just offing yourself because you got found first and outplayed, there's nothing to fix.

No matter what killer or build you do someone will probably will not like it and that is life of a pvp games and just because I said what I said gives you no right to assume that I give up in matches which I do not. Anyways we are finished here.
Giving up in a match is the entire point of this thread, lol. As you so elegantly put it, no matter WHAT killer or perks are used, your gonna piss off SOMEONE, which just makes me go back to what I said. Go next prevention can't get here soon enough.

Do you read peoples comment carefully? I see you tend not to as per your convo in another topic with ratcoffee. I am making a general comment, as what I said means that me personally will go next based on what I describe.
You make it sound going to a jigsaw box is an easy task specially on some maps. You still have to watch out and hope the pig does not attempt to tunnel which any stealth killer 95% of time proxy camps hooks anyways. Even if she doesn't, you still have to make sure you do not run into her all the while going for a box on a map like red forest/swamp etc.
Most use both add ons that makes the timer goes very fast along with the perks I mention. I find it totally stupid and believe they unless their injured without and iron will, survivors should not be giving any notifications of searching for a box groaning eeeeeeh aaaaah like a monkey which can then have her easily sneak up and knock you down again and once again some maps makes it harder to try be aware of her.
You're trying to paint a "what if" scenario that hasn't happened in this case. The build was pretty damn tame. You have this idea of "Killers COULD do x, y, and z... let's just end it immediately". Why queue up? You didn't answer that part. If you're going to assume the worst on first hook, why queue up?
Sidenote, since your judging me based off my conversation with ratcoffee... Ratcoffee even admitted they misunderstood my argument on that topic because they were talking to someone else and editing the comments. They apologized for that.

As I said many times some killers kit frustrates people regardless of how strong, weak or balanced they are. Pig is a walking gen slow down simulator and is the only killer that punishes survivors for their main objective.
Once one person down and gets trapped that is alot of easy pressure worst depending on the map. You now are at risk of killing yourself or teamate cause of rbt and most if not all of them tends to bring the most sweatfest build such as undying, plaything, face the darkness and devour hope with tunneling to boot. I personally prefer pinhead over her anyday.
Pig's RBTs have been setup to allow for plenty of time to get it off assuming you arnt wasting it on doing anything else. The survivor can also see that I'm not using Plaything, as well as mark several addons off the list. As for having the mindset "They're probably just gonna tunnel me anyways, let's just go next" as soon as the first hook happens... why even queue up?

@czinsation said:
The biggest issue with slugging, in my opinion, is the killer is not punished much for doing it. Worst case scenario the survivors that are left can maybe get the slugged survivors up or the killer loses track of the survivors and they bleed out.
I'm really disappointed that behavior's first choice to deal with slugging is a "give up" button for survivors instead of something like base kit unbreakable. It's a bit similar to how they deal with tunneling without actually dealing with tunneling. Ultimately slugging and tunneling are strategies that give an enormous amount of value relative to the required skill, but pose very little risk to the killers.
It's weird that ppl always insist slugging is just super easy. The chase is typically the hardest part about playing killer, and that's still taking place. Your cutting out the actual hooking part, which isn't where the challenge generally comes from. Both being slugged and being hooked has the same exact solution, which is wait for a teammate to help you. You have more control over that when slugged since you can crawl to a safer location if need be.

Ah, I see the problem. You're misunderstanding my point, and you aren't intimately familiar with Daniel's particular opinions. Apologies, I was overly aggressive assuming you were defending a particular position, when you were not.
I'm not arguing that the game is lost at that point. I made an edit to one of my previous points, which you missed (because I made it after you responded - not your fault) about the point of my post. Daniel is arguing that if the game gets to the point where a survivor is being tunnelled at 4 or 5 gens, he believes the game should be lost for the full team of survivors. I agree with you that the game is not factually lost at that point - I was merely trying to illustrate a situation wherein it was fairly obvious that the killer can have an opportunity to start tunneling at 4 or 5 gens, and it shouldn't already be game-over.
The additional piece of context you're missing is that Daniel has often opined on here that survivors unhooking with less than a few seconds on the hook timer is a blunder because of course the killer is gonna tunnel - you need to make sure you get gens done before you unhook, and unhook at the last possible second, so the killer's tunneling with fewer gens left and you have a chance of getting out. I wrote the survivors as doing what I believed he would say the correct play was, and still getting 0-1 gens done before the killer has a chance to start tunneling, because I wanted to illustrate why "the game should be dead lost for survivors if the killer is able to tunnel with 4 or 5 gens left" is ridiculous.
In this case, waiting last second to unhook iskinda pointless. The killer isn't even proxicamping, it's obvious he's chasing survivor C in a different part of the map and survivor D has been on a Gen. The info you gain from the UI as a survivor does a pretty good job at painting a total picture for game sense. I'm not gonna nitpick too much more at the ridiculousness of some of the time details, just that in your example... the obvious correct time and person to get the unhook is survivor B as soon as it was obvious the killer was busy.
As for preventing tunneling... You can play towards that if he starts acting like he might. As it stands, the only thing you accomplish by leaving someone on a hook who ISNT anywhere near a killer is keeping them unproductive.
Sidenote though... I'm not Daniel. The idea that your arguing against perceived points I didn't say because your familiar with someone else is silly.
During this whole hypothetical situation, I was just kinda giggling at how much had to happen in order for a gen to not get done which included mean mugging for awhile so the pain res would hit the "right" gen, followed by a survivor being so scared of a possible 99 that he completely disappeared from the equation. The survivor he was mean mugging BTW only got 5 seconds of gen progress done before realizing the killer crossed the map AND had time to 99 stalk him. You sure this is Ghostie, cuz he's SPRINTING, lol. Can we agree this point was essentially a joke and get a laugh in. Ghostie ain't doing all that so fast.

I’d love to know what part of the OP’s description made it easier. They used to stand in view of the hook, wait for someone to come for the unhook and hit them with a hatchet which they can now no longer do. So yeah, I’m glad because it forces them to do something else. Unless I’m misunderstanding their post?
It means you can now toss a hatchet THROUGH the guy on hook and hit the unhooker.

Like I said. If you want a situation to be the survivor's fault, any decision the survivor makes is a mistake.
Thanks for confirming you didn't properly read my post by responding to the part that didn't apply to this situation instead of the one that more clearly did btw 👍👍👍
I read everything. Your hypothetical had 3 survivors making mistakes. Survivor C was the only one who didn't. Survivor C ran the killer until they dropped chase after 45 seconds, which is a reasonable decision to make. You just tried to claim this hypothetical was a lost game after only 1 mistake. I'm saying it was a rough start, NOT a lost game, after 3 of the survivors did separate misplays.

Ghostie had Discordance, headed to the coop gen within 10 seconds, and survivor B let go of the gen as soon as he saw Ghostie. They only got a few seconds of coop progress, then a few seconds of solo progress, then 20 seconds of nothing as ghostie mean mugs survivor B and then hooks. Pain res absolutely hits one of the other two gens being worked on.
I guess one of the problems is that to anyone who wants to blame the survivors, it will always be the survivors fault. Instant unhook? Shouldn't have farmed, omegalul. Wait until the last minute and have the guy who isn't stalked do the unhook? Should have unhooked sooner, genrusher, get punished. Have survivor B lurk for the unhook once he starts chase with someone else? Ghostie notices him and pops the 99ed stalk, now he has a hook and a slug, ez game baby survivors.
It's not "instant unhook". Common sense says the survivor who spawned with his buddy should've gotten the unhook once Ghostie left and started chasing someone else. At that point you should know your the closest since the other survivors spawned in a different area and you know Ghostie is busy. It's not unreasonable to expect a timely unhook and it's VERY reasonable for Ghostie to drop chase on a survivor after 45 seconds since he's a stealth killer. Approaching an unsuspecting survivor and stalking is what his power is for, NOT straight up chases. In the scenario you described, the survivors left a guy on hook so long that he was about to hit stage 2 anyway. What was survivor B doing during all this besides getting mean mugged by Ghostie for long enough that Survivor D gets the most gen progress? Your telling me he WATCHED ghostie and just...did nothing.
Survivor C didn't spawn with them, so that chase wouldn't be close enough to pop a a 99 on survivor B. Survivor B HAS to do SOMETHING because it's not like his 99 is gonna regress or anything (something he's assuming he has).

Let's say the survivor that wasn't pressured got 40 seconds of progress done, then got hit with pain res for -18 charges. At that point they have 22 charges of progress left on the gen, and 70 seconds to get the remaining 68 seconds of progress done and get the unhook. They better hope they get a boatload of skill checks, because without any, the hook has to be less than 8m away to get the unhook before second stage.
What the heck, Daniel said that a tunnel-out attempt starting at 4 gens left was also deserving of a loss. Let's assume the gen popped, and the Ghostie was returning to the hook in reaction to that and anticipation of the unhook attempt. Does that team that got a gen done despite the free first down deserve to auto-lose?
For 1, it's still not an auto lose. You have at LEAST 3 gens with decent progress. For 2, at this point, the killer only is 1 hook in and hasn't even downed the survivor their tunneling yet. The team can get some gen progress in or maybe take a hit since the guy who unhooked isn't even injured.
As for mistakes though, Survivor A made the mistake of not noticing Ghostie, survivor B made the mistake of not going for the unhook as soon as Ghostie started chasing Survivor C since they were already nearby and SHOULDVE been the one to do that... and also... Even if Ghostie had pain rez, it wouldn't have hit survivor D's gen. Survivor A and B were working together, remember? Apparently survivor D missed every skillcheck that showed up after admiring a nearby dull totem, lol.

Imaginary scenario for you
Survivors spawn in two groups of two. One group goes together and hits one gen, the other two each find their own gen.
Killer is a Ghostie with Discordance, notices the pair co-oping the gen. One survivor sees him but the other does not, and gets marked and downed in the first 15 seconds of gen progress. You've now got one guy who's hooked, one guy who has to assume he's 99ed, and two people on gens.
The guy who is 99ed goes off to a safe gen because he's 99ed. Ghostie finds a second survivor on the gen and starts chasing them. The last survivor realizes they won't be able to finish their gen before the survivor on hook goes second - so he gets the gen to around 80% and then runs for the unhook. It's not ideal but it's the best he can do given the circumstances.
After chasing this other survivor for 40-45 seconds the ghostie decides to drop chase and head back to hook to secure second stage. He getshe ghost face decides to chase the unhooked survivor. They are tunneling, and it is 5 gens left.
Now, aside from the one mistake of the survivor not noticing the ghost face and getting marked, the survivors have played this as optimally as possible, and they still got in a situation where the killer started tunneling at 5 gens. When you say survivora deserve to lose if the killer tunnels at 5 gems, to me it seems like you're saying all 4 survivors in that scenario deserve to lose because 1 of them made a mistake early in the game, regardless of how many correct decisions they make thereafter. Where am I wrong? Should early mistakes not be recoverable?
IMO if early mistakes like that are not recoverable, if the killer automatically wins if the first unhook happens before the second gen gets done, it vindicates anyone that chooses to go next. We should not be encouraging goers-next
Just so we're clear in this situation. The killer was able to get a down, hook, start a chase and be in that chase for 40-45 second... and the survivor who wasn't pressured at all only got 60 seconds of a gen done?

Yesterday I went against a chucky at first it went ok but in the end he had NOED and ended up killing two survivors (already two out of four is good) as he was hooking i tried opening the door but it took its sweet time with remember me when I heard him i started to run away but he followed me and downed me (still with NOED which is a cluch perk I know I should have broke it but I thought I would be able to run away in time) the other survivor was able to get the other door open and almost immediately left already I'm thinking "oh great I'm gonna get moried" the hatch opens close to me I tried to crawl to it but he got to it before i did which resulted in him shutting it in my face shook his head no at me then started riding my back over and over switching between my back and my head then proceeded to mori me I was so frustrated because I played normally we didn't genrush I didn't tbag him I don't even think I stunned him but he was being extremely toxic to me and letting him mori me just made it more enjoyable for him when I didn't do anything to deserve it there was no reason for him to act like that he already had two kills and I was the third
Too many killers resort to toxicity I've talked about this issue before and people said it was the same as survivors staying/tbagging at the gate I understand that but I don't support that behavior neither sometimes I'll stay at the gate for a short time to give the killer a chance to close hatch for more points but I don't tbag and I don't wait out the timer at the gate I don't purposely "punch" the killer so to speak
I loved that now the hard work in the mori's get seen more but it gives the toxic players more enjoyment they like it so they do it and keep doing it making the community more toxic because they know what they are gonna get out of it
Going back to yesterday I went against the twins and almost immediately she knocked someone down and used Victor to guard the one she downed using her as bait.. ended up getting two more with Victor and whenever she would hook one then pick up another I would do my job by unhooking back and forth but she followed the blood and downed them again I tried to heal who I could but she still found them somehow.. from the very beginning she turned the tide in her favor by being toxic and in the end I was the only one standing with no hooks she found hatch and stood at one door with Victor at the other door and switched between the two.. how is that fair to me? Being killed by her hand when she slugged at 5 gens it ended at 4 because I did one while they were trying to get the person up.. after she slugged them it went to sh#$ and we couldn't do anything
Here's a post with the OP complaining that a Twins used Victor to down multiple ppl at the start before hooking. The twins didn't slug for the 4k or anything, but OP insists that Thw Twins didn't deserve the mori because they "camped the downed survivor with victor" which is obvious since Victor can't hook ppl.

The actual problem of 4 man slugging until they bleed out? Definite problem. That needs to be addressed.
However, many people start to eat their keyboard/controller in a fit of rage if they're left on the ground for 20 seconds because they went down under a pallet and a killer sees the Meg wearing bright orange with a flashlight very cleverly hiding behind a tree (they are very clearly visible).
There's a big difference between these two things and I can never tell when people are talking about either of them…nor what kind of person they are when they talk about it.Alot of ppl don't differentiate them. They see ANY slugging as toxic. Watched a video the other day that kept swapping POV between various streamers playing survivor and the video content creator playing Billy. Billy came up on 2 guys at a gen and instantly downed one before chasing and downing the other (the streamer). The first guy was slugged for MAYBE 20 seconds, but that didn't stop the streamer from complaining that the Billy was slugging at 5 gens. If I find the clip I'll post it.
Its weird that the "at 5 gens" gets brought up so often. No one differentiates when survivors get flashlight/pallet/sabo saves. It's seen as equally valid doing it at 1st hook or death hook. Somehow applying pressure at 5 gens is toxic though.

Gather around the campfire folks it's story time:
I think several things work against problems getting patched out quicker than anyone would like, prolly the devs themselves as well.
The biggest culprit is easily DBD's famous unwieldy code. Underneath everything is the 2016 Blueprints, seasoned with C++ sauce over the years. Despite even an engine upgrade things break easily (often unrelated directly to changes), are hard to recreate due to no recording on their end, and persist.
Most developers of any size when porting their game to the consoles hire out expert services to optimize their code. DBD chose to do this in-house. This tells me they alone are the only ones who actually kinda maybe can sift through their code and understand how it all connects together. A lil. The best example of all this would be back in May 2019 announcing their goal of getting all platforms to 60fps minimum. After like a year and a half and the absolute biggest thread this forum has ever seen, they fessed up that they just couldn't do it. Not because machines like the PS4 or Xbox1 were not capable of it, but because of an unsurmountable resource bottlenecking problem within the code. It also shows in even stronger PCs using an inordinate amount of processing to run this game. It's also why it's practically impossible to add in a replay system to ease with reporting, it's taken 8 years to add M&K support, etc.
The other major factor imo for so many issues is the relatively small size of their team in 2017-18. I think this led to imperfect knowledge of how to port their game smoothly, in particular things like cross play, cross progression, the process of putting out patches, and so many others. Not having all that in place back then has reared it's ugly head repeatedly over the years. I consider it how they went through their growing pains really, combined with some lack of foresight that they have to be dinged for.
Which means the certification wait times from the console companies was just an excuse for not being able to untangle their own spaghetti code enough to fix game breaking bugs in a reasonable amount of time. The irony that they'd do this whole "trial" program to let ppl play Wesker before possibly buying him, only to immediately showcase a bug that hits Wesker the most often would be hilarious if it wasn't so bad. If only they'd do similar Trials for new characters so we can see how buggy they are before buying them.

The headphones thing is more widespread than you'd think.
Players sitting on a crusty couch across from an ancient TV and using that TV's speakers is not unusual. Contrast that with the more serious gamers hunched 4 inches from a very nice monitor with their tourny mouse cranked up to 21000 sporting a $240 headset that can hear aliens farting on Mars. The very definition of casual vs. competitive.
I bet I'd actually get something out of Spirit if I was using a decent headset! 🤣
That's why I appreciate the headphone jack in my PS5 controller. I can sit comfortably while still using my headset. Was kind of an issue when I wanted to play my switch games on the dock. I had to use like a 10 ft long wired headset.

I haven't a clue. As far as I know it's just like this for DBD.
In 2016 during the first year of the game's existence it was just on Steam only. The following year they ported it over to the consoles, then Windows I think, and much later on came Stadia and Epic.
Back then their updates would come out around roughly the same time for all the platforms, but separately and at times days apart. Then they streamlined their patches and released them across all platforms all at the same exact time. It must be better for them internally to do it that way.
That's essentially the same story for Warframe. Started off on PC, then got released on consoles, and even on IPhone. They ALSO did cross play and cross platform progression, but like I said...have no problem doing hotfixes. Sometimes they'll have multiple hotfixes in 1 day.

The way it works for the consoles for DBD is that each any every patch (no matter the size) has to be separately certified be Microsoft and Nintendo and Sony. This can take up to a week, and is not free either. If is was only Steam they could put out a hot fix a day of they wished to, but it's not and they have for years put out all platforms at the same time.
That's why they plan out their updates pretty far in advance, and cram everything they can into them. Those of us who have been here long enough remember Trickster's chapter being delayed a week or so solely because one of the console makers hadn't certifies it yet.
Why would this be completely different for other games on the same platforms?

COD and GTA are both 17+ but have a bunch of people who aren’t. Business is business to them.
Those games ALSO don't market themselves to 10 year olds.
-
This game shouldn't even be aimed at gen alpha... If they don't meet the age requirement of a mature game, why market to them?
-
@Aven_Fallen Is that you in the pic?
-
I highly doubt it since the game would just register it as a keyboard rather than some separate code.

@sirlemonhead said:
Don't forget console certification so you need at least a week time lead on all patches.
Meanwhile, everyone is yelliing at them for introducing new bugs because they're rushing things…
Not for hotfixes. I know warframe updates are generally followed by like 10 hotfixes spread through the following week. There's a difference between fixing bugs and adding/changing content.

ppl always slugged for the 4k if they want to.
This wasnt even describing that.

None of that had anything to do with the mori. The 2 games you described would've had the same exact result, just with ending with a hook instead.

yeah there’s a lot of newer players on the forum. Survivor and killer alike so well don’t take it too personal, they probably think pig is op.
Just need to nerf Pig, THEN I'm sure the survivors will be satisfied, lol.

Are there frustrating things in this game? Yeah, I don't think the game would be active without it. But I got to ask, what was frustrating about going against a pig? No boop? No snoot? WTH?
No clue, but then again... 4 ppl have downvoted my original postwhich is kind of telling.

I don’t dc so idk 100% but I’ve been disconnected before and you get 0 bp so I think if you willing go it’s also 0 bp. I imagine it is frustrating none the less though.
It's not treated the same as a DC, which is why the last screenshot showed them having more than 0 BPs.

to complain about "you're not addressing the issues of why people quit" as a defence for saying "this change is bad" is bad faith man
Which I am not even doing, I said quite the opposite, lol.
And nah, some acknowledgement that there are frustrating things in the game and that there will be work done would be nice. All we currently got was a few killer-sided changes. Heck, even the Anti-Slugging change is killer-sided, despite Survivors suffering from it. (The one in Phase 1, no idea what they are doing in Phase 2)
And while some things will be tackled eventually, it takes far too long. E.g. how long did it take for the Devs to nerf Alchemist Ring? The Add On was a problem from Day 1 and it took them YEARS. And quite a bunch of Survivors will probably have gone next due to a Blight bringing Alchemist Ring. Which could have been prevented if they would pay a bit more attention.
And my last point still stands - why should people be forced to play out games when they are already non-games from the start? I had a game against a Nurse a few days ago, one Hook Suicide and one DC pretty early in the game. Why should I have to stay in that game with the other Survivor, even if it is clear that we will not win and dont even have a chance of winning? Why do I have to play out a game as Killer when Survivors gave up or DCed, despite the game being not a Challenge anymore and therefore not fun at all?
While I think it is fine to punish players who DC or give up first, the other players in the match should at least have the option to leave without Penalty at this point. Just give them their BPs and thats it. This would at least remove the point where players are forced to play out non-games.
We really have to see how they go about filtering it. If the "go next" measures only target ppl who do this within the first 4 minutes or something... I don't think you'd get caught in that if you want out because 1 person killed themselves and another DCed.

are survivors on strike or something?
The frustrating part... Due to the BP bonus, that last team STILL got more points than me, lol

The problem is that it is once again the lazy way of dealing with things. Overall it is a positive change - BUT it should not be the only change happening.
OP has brought up 2 games, which is nothing. And while I would agree that people DC/give up over insignificant things, BHVR is not planning to do much against the frustrating things which can lead to people DCing/giving up. E.g. you can most of the time mark a game against a Nurse as a loss, since you basically have to hope that the player is just learning her. And while there are measurements against tunneling, camping and slugging in the works, those are a) months from now (could easily only come in 10 months) and b) we dont even know if they will be effective.
Let alone that forcing players to be stuck in an already lost game is also not really great. If there is a person giving up on their first Hook for whatever reason (despite them getting a penalty), the other 3 Survivors are forced to play out a game which they cannot win. And at this point you are only a BP-Pinata for the Killer.
So while the change is indeed good, it is just too little.
I'm 3 for 3, lol

Yet surprisingly common. I've seen first hook go nexts again pre-buff, non-tombstone Myers...
I'm sure everyone who doesn't want this thing to come in is permanently against max sweat and cracked Blights, Spirits and Nurses... because I honestly can't see how you can defend this crap otherwise without being a colossal hypocrite...
Most people reply with "You can't MAKE ppl play a game they don't want to play". I'm not trying to force ppl who want to ragequit to play. I want the rage quitters to NOT play. They shouldn't be queueing up if this is the reaction 60 seconds in.

The big downside of OTR is that it's endurance based. If you're playing against Legion, Slinger, or other characters that can apply deep wound it becomes a lot weaker. It's also less effective against killers that can shred through healthstates if you're in a bad spot, like Trickster or Bubba with the double chainsaw hit. Or if a killer chooses to slap you right off hook it immediately removes your OTR endurance, putting you in a bad spot.
I think DS is better not just because it wastes way more time like you mention and gives way more distance, but also because it pairs with DH like you mentioned, which OTR on its own doesn't all that well.
It's really not any different against killers like Legion than anyone else. Whether you got hit with feral frenzy, a Billy saw, Deathslinger shooting you or an M1, the result would be the same.... injured in deep wound.

It just feels kinda crazy, if you think about it they are one of the more "Basic" killers, chapter 10, but there are over 30 chapters in DBD. Its kinda crazy how popular Legion is, ive seen people wear the Legion costume, and some don't even know DBD. Its just a bit crazy. Again, you got collabs with Balatro, they have comicbooks, figurines so much, an outsider would assume that legion has been in the game since Day 1
"Basic" in this case works great. Someone can do a Legion costume very easily and still feel like they're dressing up as opposed to alot of the heavy makeup and accessories other costumes would require. It also works for streamers really well. You can cosplay as "Suzie" and still feel comfortable while sitting at your PC, where something bulky like Pyramid Head isn't gonna work.

it’s never going to happen. BHVR has decided to prioritize making the game available to as many people as possible by letting anyone in the world play on any server they want through VPN rather than ensure an enjoyable and fair experience for all players. As long as people aren’t leaving the game because of this issue (they aren’t, for the most part), then BHVR will stick with this strategy
It's not even JUST VPNs. I got to experience plenty of high ping when I matched with an Australian killer partner for 2v8. I have fiber optics, but that didn't stop my ping from sitting at about 350.

Avg Times according to recent stats are 11 mins. For me I wait 9 to 11 minutes. Never 30. Not sure where you are located that you are waiting 30 mins.
I think they're referring to the possible killer wait times when there's no BP incentives for ppl to play survivor.
