I found it to be strangely balanced and extremely fun on every side, I believe all of the stuff like the passives makes this game mode the best one yet.
-
Bro, I'm a killer main and even I really it's getting ridiculous.
Seriously, recently I have faced extremely good survivors and still won because of some broken mechanic or luck stroke.
Really it's benn a lot of time since my skill was getting me through the ranks

what if unhooked person gets 10% extended haste for 60 seconds instead of 10 seconds? unhooker get endurance for 10. seconds. I think it would be good anti-tunnel perk and counter hook-trading/camping vs non-specialized camping killers.
They're interesting ideas to balance the perk but I don't think that having both effects is that healthy for the game.
Still, the 60 second haste sounds reasonable

Okay how about it give survivors wings so they can fly to safety? It can still be countered by Deathslinger. Would you agree with that?
Balanced 👍

Entitled players (both survivors and killers), I will not talking about them, there is nothing to talk about.
Most survivors, currently accept the fact that they can only win 40%, the only thing they want is not being tunneled/camped, or slug for 4K.
Alot of killers though, being a 5 skilled killer, thinking Devs should buff them to able to win against 10 skilled survivors because they think they're a 10 and can not win against 10 skilled survivors. You would never see average survivors thinking they have skilled of 10 and want the game to buff survivors so they can win against Otz.
Tbh they bhvr should be aiming for a 50% escape rate

Another Idea:
The Sacrifice.
A Sacrifice to Nature to gain Power, in return, a horror wonderland.Weapon: A Cherry Blossom attached to her hand. (Think nemesis whip, but with a flower, and more nature like and green.
Power: All Will Be One. Whenever one or more survivors are weak, it boosts you, and hurts them. For every injured, downed, hooked, or dead survivor, you grow. When there is no one injured, you are basically just a M1 killer with no real power. When there is 1 person injured and etc, gain Vine Whip. When there are 2, gain Infecting Affection. When there are 3, Vine Whip grows in power, and all 4 allows a Mori, if they have max Sacrificial Material stacks.Vine Whip: A Long Range Attack with a Hefty Cool Down. At its 1st Level, a successful hit hinders the survivor 7% as it hits (like direct unknown UVX hit). At its second stage, it now also increases their Sacrificial Material stacks. At Third Level, it now also takes away a Health State.
Sacrificial Material: You can not get rid of these stacks, there are 5 levels, at max, the survivor is exposed, and can be moried if you are at 4 stacks.
Give feed back. 👍
I like this idea because it is a really healthy power that prevents you from tunneling to use it well, very creative and it has a lot of synergies like sloppy etc. I always liked killers and perks that benefit from this kind of stuff
-
Amazing artwork!, love the background story to.
-
Recently I've been try harding to get Weskers prestige 4 weapon, but now I am back to ninja Myers and body blocker hag
-
My idea is technically not a new killer but now that we have new game modes I thought one where everyone is blighted and gets new abilities would be cool.
For example:
Blight (blighted...)
102% speed
Power:
Now you start the trial with 0 syringes and every 30 seconds get fatigue for 2s, to prevent this find a chest and open it, it will provide you with 2 syringes, while you have syringes you "blight" rush instead of walking (20s each syringe), you have full control over your movent.
If you bump into a survivor lose 25% of the syringe your currently using and the survivor enters the injured and deep wound status effects.
Every 2 syringes get a permanent +2% speed for vaulting.

Just say what you want. You want Nurse to be loopable. Just be honest|

I generally would rather buff her in unique ways that isn't the same as other killers, even if it's a smaller %. As you mentioned Wraith already has that so I'd rather give her something more unique. Either improving the flicker a lot for better mind games or maybe while Demanifested she could walk through windows at a slower rate. Something unique. There's already way, way too many killers that are nearly copy/pastes of each other with a different splash of paint on it.
I agree, the facing trough dropped pallets and windows sounds like an amazing rework idea

Tunneling is good, it forces survivors to improve at their looping skill, i wouldn't be half the survivor i am now If i didn't get tunneled.
You also won't be tunneled as much if you can improve at looping, killers like tunneling weak links, it's smart easy pressure. If your getting tunneled your probably the weak link, or so good the killer has to prove to themselves or you they can down you, in which case you buy loads of time for your team, and if your the weak link you can improve.
Now, i know alot of people rage bc of tunneling and complain it's bad. They have a skill issue and are not willing to forcibly improve themselves at the game. If they get discouraged and uninstall or leave that's shows alot Abt them. They were never worthy of improving.
If you want to improve you will, if you get tunneled all the time you'll want to improve.
Each time a survivor gets tunneled it creates harder survivors for killers to go against.
Tunneling is ultimately incredible for the games health, i know when i first got tunneled i was like "damn, I'm never gonna let this happen again" and i improved and now killers abandon chase with me after 30 seconds and i sit on gens all match because they know I'm good.
Feel free to disagree. But you have to admit i do have a point. Tunneling creates good players
And no. This isn't bait. And no I'm not a killer main (i play both sides evenly)
Brother... I get your point and I won't speak up about the matter but you just opened Pandora's box

I mean I'm down if you're wanting to improve her in other ways instead of the stealth. What did you have in mind?
I always thought that giving her a tiny speed boost while cloaked wouldn't be that bad, not like wraith but a bit smaller so she can patrol better.
Maybe that's giving her way to much mobility so...

A plant like killer would be really interesting!, the lore dictates that the entitie is a plant so an unorthodox idea would be to make it so the killer has a powerful connection to the entitie and thus can summon it's power (to an extent).
I thought of something like:
Entities seeds- it will start to fill up as you play, it fills up 5/10/14% faster for 1/2/3 sacrifices.
Uncharged: plant yourself in an spot, you become undetectable and can see the auras of every survivor around you, after a few seconds start moving again and your M1 has gained a random side effect (the idea was making it range from exhaustion to even something like the plagues plague Wich might be a bit to much)
Charged: You get 3% haste and can now dig yourself to any generator in a 35m radius, whenever you hook a survivor cover the hook in spines and now any survivor that saves them loses a health state (deactivates if you are in a 20m radius).
I went for an 1m killer that punishes altruism, but maybe is way to simple. (A dredge-like approach now that I think about it)
Actually it would be better if it worked with stacks, so every few seconds you get a stack and when you activate any ability in the charged category you consume one

Yeah tbh you have to hold w forever if not he is going to out speed you with a bottle.
You can try to dodge the bottles but clowns usually throw bottles mid range so that dodge might end in a hit anyway.
So yeah don't stay at a loop to long and if you can choose go for god pallets .
And if you have an ungodly amount of time in your hands you can try and learn how the clown plays to counter him.
These are what?, 144 pages?, apparently he is extra complex at high levels

Because the issue isn't someone being tunneled. It's an issue of skill difference.
A killer doesn't decide how many gens survivors get done, they can only try to build enough pressure so that survivors have to give up working on gens to do something else. And at the start of the game, this isn't an easy task because maps are full of resources and all 4 survivors are alive.
If a killer is able to get a hook, wait for an unhook, proceed to tunnel that survivor without interference, get their 2nd hook, wait for the unhook, and proceed to tunnel that survivor without interference so they finally die on their 3rd hook without a single gen getting done, then the survivor team failed to either protect their teammate or use the lack of killer pressure to get gens done.
But what if hear me out, the killer brought: ANY GEN SLOWDOWN/BLOCKING PERK IN THE GAME

Besides with the new anti 3 gen mechanic it wouldn't be as effective, at least that's what I think

1st Game:
Singularity hooks a Leon and starts to chase and down an Ada Wong.
Leaves her down and uses his teleport to come back to the hook right as the save happens on the Leon. Why would I play this game? So I die on hook. :)
2nd Game:
Leon gets downed. Haddie gets downed right next to Leon.
Leon gets hooked. I go for Leon. Haddie gets hooked right next to Leon because the hooks are literally right next to each other most of the time.
Unknown hooks Haddie and then goes back to Leon's hook and then is able to hit me AND spit the bomb on me.Why would I play this game? So I die on hook. :)
Like how are any measures being put in to actually help the survivors enjoy the game? In the past 2 years there has been nerfed flashlights, nerfed medkits, nerfed survivor perks, nerfed loops, nerfed boons, an increase in silent killers, an increase in anti-loop killers, an increase in teleporting killers, an increase in aura reading perks, an increase in screaming perks, an increase in exposure perks. What have survivors gotten exactly? The ability to unhook if a killer stays right in their face HOPEFULLY before they hit 2nd hook as long as no teammates are around? I'm sure the additional seconds to decisive strike will help in the next patch………….. as long as you do nothing that is considered a conspicuous action… such as existing.I already know these forums are killer-sided. The devs are killer-sided as well. But if no one ever actually speaks up for the survivors, you're going to lose them all.
PLAYERS DO NOT ENJOY SOLO-QUEUING ANYMORE.
PLAYERS FRIENDS HAVE STOPPED PLAYING BECAUSE OF THE IMBALANCE SO THEY STOP PLAYING ALSO.
I do agree that nowadays killers don't play honorably and the survivors definitely feel much weaker now.
In a perfect world none of the sides would be in a power trip but the best we can hope is to close the gap between the two as much as we can.
About the hooks being next to each other I think an amazing solution to that would be: spread the hooks and now they don't break when you sacrifice

I have been secretly hoping players would be inclined to get a comp scene going, like the matchmaking tournament websites of Counter Strike...
It'd make a cool event at least to be able to enter a mini 5 tournament with a team.
That would be an amazing idea

slugging for 4k is still a strategy tho
I guess, you could also consider tunneling a strategy but it's still extremely unfun for the other side
-
@sizzlingmario4 said:
Well in that situation it sounds like you didn’t really have a choice since there wasn’t a hook available. Imo hooks breaking on sacrifice should be removed, since all it does most of the time is lead to situations like this. But it’s not on you to pick up a survivor if you know they’re unhookable.
As for slugging as a whole: The way I look at this is there are 2 different kinds of slugging: slugging for 4k at the end of the game (which I think should go), and slugging as a strategy to build pressure/for legitimate gameplay reasons (basically all other slugging that doesn’t fall into the category of slugging for 4k). Slugging for pressure isn’t a problem at all imo, except for Knockout - that perk needs to change.
With this in mind, the one change I would make is to just allow downed survivors to quickly bleed themselves out (ie. after 30 seconds or so) if there are only 1 or 2 survivors left. This fixes slugging for 4ks and in a situation like what happened in your match, the last survivor would’ve been able to end the game without waiting 4 minutes or crawling to a hook which could’ve taken even longer. I would also change killer adept requirement to 3k instead of 4k so adepts don’t become way more difficult with this change.
That's a fair point, I used to run knockout hag (I was nasty back then) and I heard some complaints about slugging. But yeah, I can see it as being an alternative play style.
The problem with slugging is that people that use it as a legitimate strategy usually go for 4k slugs with knockout etc.
Knockout should get a rework maybe making it work like an anti unbreakable of some kind (my balance takes are awful), anyway yeah slugging for 4k :🤢, slugging as a strategy: 🦾

Or ...
Unknown is a really strong killer with a high skill ceiling. It's not difficult to reach high win streaks with Nurse and Blight, so ...
Most survivors not knowing how to fight against Unknown, which can be difficult to learn when you don't face many of them.
Stream snipers having given up sabotaging win streaks, bc. Otz said he won't do them anymore.
I'm not saying you are wrong with the MMR changes being reverted. I'm just saying there are alternative explanations that are also perfectly reasonable. Maybe it's a combination of all.
Yeah, most people don't KNOW how to fight him...I'm sorry

Yeah, poor Freddy needs a rework and if we aren't getting that then merging his powers is the next best thing.
@katoptris said:
So you want clown but for Freddy? I rather have old Freddy with the teleporting to gens.
Freddy can already hinder you with snares adding the pallets won't change that part of his kit. Clown isn't even that unfun to go against
-
There are a few things that might help:
-Play "Trapper Merchant" wich is basically playing her by dropping drones in loops and creating dead zones
-DONT YOU DARE USE ANY OF HER BEST ADDONS
-Play nice (no tunnel, camp etc.)
It sucks that you need this many rules (or more: survivor rulebook section 5 paragraph 12) to play a killer without everyone leaving.
My recommendation is that you should just play however you want if you play nice with other killers then you should be fine playing as merchant
-
I would love to see Freddy getting a rework, right now he is a bit stale compared to the rest of the cast
-
I have to agree, at first I was like "cool!, new map!" (I hadn't tried the map when it came out) But a few killer and survivor games in I realized that it needed some tweaking.
You can still have a lot of fun in the map but before the anti 3 gen patch, perks like jolt and eruption hindered gen progress a ton and now in one half of the map there are no resources for the survivors and in the other half there are a billion unsafe pallets and one good window
-
I love how each killer it's completely different for everyone else, I like the feeling that I am playing a different game every time.
The complex mechanics and sound design are amazing and add a lot to the gsme
-
I think a good solution would be to make it so if a survivor is hooked back to back instead of going to the next hook stage the bar will be around where it eneded up when the survivor was saved
-
You know what?, you guys are right

No, part of playing as survivor is being aware of your surroundings and avoiding dangerous areas like the basement. It’s not impossible to beat a basement Trapper, though it can be frustrating with bad teammates(not a valid reason to neuter Trapper).

I feel that basement Trapper is even worse than all of them because he doesn't need to camp basement and even if he does the survivors unhooking themselves will just be met with a trap or 2 M1 while disarming one

This was all before the rework, now he is playable but he does deserve some love and maybe a new rework? (Pretty please Behaviour).

Well, except fixing their bugs, there is one change I would like to see.
Currently the most annoying thing playing twins is that fatique after each down with Victor. It just feels really bad. 5 seconds for each down is just a lot... Issue is it kinda force you to slugging.
I would just let players swap to Charlotte even during fatigue (after 1 second -> same as latching), so you can go pick up survivor without wasting time, or wait that fatique on try to get another down/hit with victor. Both would become valid options.
This actually an amazing quality of life change that I didn't think about.

While I would love the idea of the Twins functioning with an AI taking control while I'm on the other character, I believe bHVR may only opt for a slight rework. It's important to remember that the Twins already have a small but dedicated fanbase, and losing any specific gameplay could disappoint them.
I think bHVR has them in mind, but also they want to make Twins good to play and play against. Aswell as making sure the Killer supports an "open door" to new Killers who wanna play.
I understand, so maybe quality of life changes just like @VomitMommy suggested
