Do we have to wait 2+ years for Nightmare rework before he will get any buffs?
I mean why not to just at least buff his base kit atm. Giving him extra snares, pallets, hindred, cooldown, etc. would help. Why waiting year(s) for changes when we could do few simple buffs before he gets reworked?

Well, the problem with nightmare is that when he came out he was the worst killer in the game, then he got the snares and he is now playable.
What happened is that the game got review bombed by casual players who said the killer was to strong. (There is nothing wrong with playing a game casually but there is with review bombing and forcing a nerf)
This was all before the rework, now he is playable but he does deserve some love and maybe a new rework? (Pretty please Behaviour).
His gameplay can feel bland and unengaging but I still have fun running gimmicky builds with him.
Also shout outs to the 2 Freddy mains that are single handlely keeping the character alive

Freddy's problem is not his strength tho. Heck, he is performing pretty well in stats.
It's just his power is boring and nothing is special about him.
Snares is anti loop and we have countless of better anti-loop powers.
His teleport is so limited and we have so many better teleport killers.
Dream World is doing nothing, almost not exists.
Buffs will not fix him. He needs full rework. So instead of small buffs, i would prefer focus only on rework and not waste time with his current base-kit.
The people that play Freddy, which is about six different mains or so probably less I’ve already waited five years for a rework.
Freddy is on the radar for a rework this year, likely it will not happen towards later end of the year.
I'd say, make the Dream Pallets base kit, add more options to it (Dream Totems, Chests, Breakable Doors) and increase the number of how many you can place (25 for everything for example)
Make the survivors question everything.
