Red ranks are usually always running the same OP meta tier perks over and over, while I see more variety in builds in purple and green ranks.
Yesterday I got into red ranks, and game are alllways the same thing.
Seriously, you guys that run the exact same build over and over, are just boring. There are more perks in the game you know?
I've noticed that obviously, to reach red ranks you need a certain amount of skill, but another reason to reach red ranks, is because you are using meta perks, that's all.
I rather derank at keep playing in purple ranks, before being forced to play meta perks in all of my games.
It's a vicious cicle. Killers or survivors, use meta perks. Then the ones that didn't use them, may feel bad about their performance. Then, they realize they "have to use" meta perks. Then they use meta perks and they make the other side think the same ######### again.
You see what I mean?
Please, try different new builds, don't be afraid of changing one perk slot for something you might have wanted to try before. Same with add-ons.
I know, It was so hard for me at first to get rid of my BBQ+pop, but it gets better, believe me. You feel better when you are experimenting and trying new stuff.
Finally, I'm not saying "NEVER EVER RUN META PERKS". Just that you know, there is a wide roster of perks and add-ons in the game, you can always try something new.
I run perks I enjoy. If they happen to be meta or not idc. I long ago stopped caring about rank and focused on what brings me joy in DBD.
I hate being permanently stuck in red ranks as both survivor and killer.

So me and my friends were SWFing And we ended up getting a pyramid head on this match, unfortunately the killer did not get a hook until almost the end of the match. Once the gens pop he chases the guy that got unhooked from earlier in the game and he unfortunately became tormented and cages him instead of hooking him. The killer ran right to the area of our caged teammate and we all were trying to save him but the killer stands there 4 feet away (which I feel like is still to close for the cage to not move) with his power ready to instantly kill him if we were to save him. There’s nothing we could of done as a team to get him out safely because borrowed time does not proc off cages or any unhooking perk for that matter. Unfortunately we rescued him from the cage because the exit gate was right next to us and wanted to make a play so we could escape as a team but the killer still downs him because of it. Our teammate was very upset as anyone would be and leaves the match and the killer thought it was funny to dance on his body and shake his head. Here’s a clip of what happened and if you don’t want to watch it that’s fine because I explained how the scene went but my question is why? Why do killers play like this? What makes you entitled for a kill knowing you lost? This is why survivors are toxic and bm and do other things to upset killers.
~Rant over
Edit: Since I’m getting so many hate comments and negative comments I will not be responding to them as this post was just for people to see how broken pyramid head is still til this day. And although the devs already fixed the ability to remove cage auras from PH, it does not fix how broken the mechanic is still and how it can be abused like in the clip above.
Same reason I can do this stuff to a killer.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/187746/the-way-console-players-are-treated-is-insane
I totally understand your frustration, I really do and the thread was closed not because of the genuine comments that were on it. The thread was closed because of the Developer bashing that was happening on it, posts which we deleted as well as the irrelevant bumps which added nothing to the thread and were basically spam at that point. Then even after a warning was put on that thread it continued and people got warned for their comments and the thread was closed. Nobody is trying to censor Console Players. Check out my posts on this very forum where I've closed threads down which were set up to pit Console against PC - it's not something I approve of and it's not something BHVR approves of. We promote inclusivity totally.
The fact of the matter is, I can't answer the questions about optimisation all I can do is to say again it is something that we've brought to the teams attention - but I do not have any further word on it than that.
Look through that entire thread nothing was addressed at all you personally said "I passed it along" and a dev happened to post "were aware of the issues" explain how exactly any of that is helpful? Nothing was addressed. Console players just want a actual game they can play without it being cancerous half the time. They deserve that right?
These people are shouting out to the developers that they want it fixed and it needs to happen now. Its not an issue of "bashing x developers anymore" it a issue of it needs to be fixed after years of doing nothing for console optimization. These thread are gonna keep popping up until they realize BHVR is either ignoring them or actively does something.
I kept seeing the last one in my newsfeed over and over again. Eventually someone will write an article about "BHVR ignoring Console players" and it will blow up.
Either way both PC and Consoles need massively optimization. Maybe its time to actually address the issues the game has instead of pushing out new content over and over. You can personally create a thread asking people what issues they get on console only as well for helpful insight.

It seems like every time we get a console killer (we're on PC), there's always some console killer who doesn't care about tunneling or camping whatsoever, plays that weird console meta build with Devour Hope (literally like 90% of the console bros), and it's just not a fun experience. They always accuse people on PC of "hacking" (lol, really sad that skill = "hacking") and then they do toxic crap thinking it's fine. I would turn off cross-play if it didn't pair us with the exact same killer a few matches in a row (legit our experience, no lie) so I don't feel I have much of a choice. I wish there was some kind of incentive to discourage toxic gameplay...on both sides honestly.
Oh and before anyone says anything, yes I have run BT and DS. Do I feel like running those perks every game? No, I can't predict when someone will drop skill requirements in order to use a crutch to gain an advantage.
Odd this has been my experience for PC killers too. 🤣 oh wait people actually play how they want accusing them is just sad.

A lot of PC player's seem to assume that because a PC has better specs it naturally makes them better 😉 clearly a entitled mindset that has been proven wrong time and time again across many games.

Seventy days [2 months 10 days] for four tomes isn't nearly enough, especially currently with the serious amount of bugs that the past 3 months has had.
There have been calculations that have been made in the past regarding just how much time/rift shards are needed to complete each Rift Pass/Tomes.
However with the current issues, Crossplay, Matchmaking queue's etc.
It's unrealistic and quite unfair.
As a veteran DBD player who has some time to grind, I find the various non-intentional obstacles that impeede a player progress too be far to intrusive.
Yes, free BP is nice. But it's not going to help the players who actually paid for their Rift Pass and have done all that they can to get all challenges done and to lvl 70.
Mathematically, each tome completion time has a max of 17 days to be optimally cleared [meaning to clear the entirty of the tome].
I'm not going to do the full markup of it, as you can find it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/deadbydaylight/comments/dqoz6w/riftbattle_pass_number_of_games_to_tier_70/
Tl;dr Please consider either boosting the amount of rift shards per challenge completion or increase the alotted time from 70 days to 90.
Thank you.
You know you can take a break between the release of 3 and the release of 4 and still easily come to 70?

Damn bro I'm on the same page as you with performance.
The worst part is. Newer games that require higher performance seems to work a lot better than DBD, but after the Slinger DLC I experience lag for the first few games which hinders the game play. It can sometimes lag me out of the match as loading in can generate a lot of lag.
Kinda weird as it only happens for 2 or 3 matches on PC and only on DBD.

Nah i could care less except for the inbuilt lightborne, but the increased FPS would be nice.

ffs this is the third post about this video, so fine.
0-10s: Spends the first seconds of the match checking gens right next to him where it is impossible for survivors to spawn. Could have saved several seconds cutting away from this useless area.
23s: Swings at Sprint Burst. Common mistake, we all do it sometimes.
1:20: Doubles back too early giving the survivor a free fake.
1:38: Wastes a lot of time taking the survivor to the basement when there was a hook extremely close to the downed survivor. Does nothing with the basement pressure so its pure wasted time.
1:58: Extremely bad move. Goes to the edge of the map to kick a generator, leaving the entire rest of the map unpressured. The temptation to Pop generators ruins a lot of killer's momentum.
During this entire time, he has not left the vicinity of the shack for the entire match.
2:10-2:30: Just walks around the shack doing nothing.
2:34: Instead of the free down on Billy, he wastes his power on hitting a survivor with Borrowed Time.
2:52: Has more than half his power and chooses to pick up the survivor instead of doing the thing Oni does best - snowballing.
2:59: Again wastes more time putting a survivor in the basement to do nothing with it.
As of 3:30 he has still not left the vicinity of the shack for the entire match.
4th gen pops at 3:37 and he doesn't understand how only two hooks and staying in this same spot let this happen.
Not sure if you'll reply or not, but what's your stance on kicking gens vs wasting time? I would like to know your thoughts.

Pretty unrelated, but I remember one of the 4 year anniversary loading quotes es (bring them back!) mentioned how they were thinking of implementing her puke. I think it'd be such a fun addon to give her a "shotgun" puke.
After the cross play introduction, it seems her meta changed from "never cleanse" to "yolo".
That was one of the design ideas. It didn't make it into the final design. Would of been neat though.

You need to increase generator repair time. Like 15 seconds per gen. Tired of playing with Ruin, pop and corruption all the time.
Hate to break it to you, but you only need one of those at any given time if that. Instead of taking the approach of "gen times need fixed" record your games and see what your doing wrong.
Slow on finding first survivor? Chases too long? Overcommiting?, Bad game sense?, lack of pressure?
Recording and watching yourself actively helps you improve as killer.

They nerfed his turn speed at the start of his charge making it a giant arc instead of a tight turn into the normal long arc i use to be able to 360 on the top of the hills, now i can't.
i swear the rev time takes longer as well.
I didn't notice that when I played his rework for the first week when seeing if I could still curve. Than again this entire thread was about giving his overheat mechanic a better bonus anyways.

Yes but the dev have stipulated they want overheat to impact his play. So if they want to push the mechanic give a payoff. They have stated that they think billy is in a good position so if they insist on further nerf's throw him a way to play with the mechanic. There are a lot of ways to play around myers constantly changing tr. Billies kit is straight forward with limited depth on how you can use the saw. A lot of what defined his high skill level has been nerfed ie his engravings and add on options base kit billy charge time always was abyssmal. While i do agree instasaw was busted I do believe spark plug and guide where very reasonable in terms of charge speed especially when countering the long charge time on the engravings.
Base Kit Billy was strong if you knew how to play Billy. Almost all of the Billy mains I knew didn't bother with addons as they were unneeded. It sounds more like to me you miss crack Billy and Instasaw Billy than balanced game play. Both of which were key factors in the rework. So its unlikely that they will bother with implementing the very thing they wished to remove.
The overheat mechanics seem more to affect new and bad Billys more than people who knew how to play him. The overheat mechanic is the negative to his base power of being both a movement speed and a instadown tool. So im not sure how you say its just a downside without a positive.
-
The hitbox for a survivor stays momentarily at the top of a vault when falling instead of following them like what a normal person would expect. Medium vaults are really prone to this as the hitbox stays longer than a fast vault. So I'm assuming he just hit like normal either through ping disparity and visually it registered to him or knew about the hit box and hoped for the best.
The hit validation seems to effect severe cases of lag. This was just good old fashioned DBD screwing you over.

It's not cheating and in all honestly looks better. It also increases frames so people with low end pcs can play.
Wait is this true?
-
I would actually like the consoles to finally be optimized. Some peoples PS4 sound like a jet engine from this game during loading screens or overheat easily. The colossal drop in frames is getting worse. Overall the game is slowly decaying on console.

Doesn't take much skill to hide all game and than T Bag at the exit pretending your some divine player either. You know when your teammates get hooked and you could of saved them, but sat in the corner.

Honestly I read the OP as the typical SWFs message with afew words swapped around which Im pretty sure was intended.
You shouldn't punish people trying to have fun with their (friends).
While (comms) gives you an advantage, it doesn't provide you any skill, if the (SWF) player is bad, (SWF) will not make him win the game.
And not all (SWF) players are try hards, some are just people trying to have fun.
I'll never unsee this and it's even better because he brought up SWF as a argument later on too. 🤣
Also long time no see. I hope all is well with you. I see that post count shot up while I was gone, but im trying to stay away from the forums anymore. They sucked a large portion of the fun out of DBD for me. Once I stopped visiting as much i noticed how much better DBD became for me.

You can resolve this issues by simply opting out of crossplay. Don't feel like playing against an opponent that have better FPS ? Simple, opt out of crossplay.
Sadly, we can't do the same with SWF.
Oh i noticed that now that I pointed this out you would rather have people drop out of crossplay, but for some reason these seem to be the issues people would rather not deal with. Considering the advantages that you seem to list as small details that don't matter because not all plauers are "sweat or good at the game" these are the sole reasons people want to have console only crossplay without having to deal with PC players.
Don't worry though SWF is the real issue 🤣

If you want to go that way, i can say the same exact thing about SWF, why should they be allowed to have free information ? How is this fair to the other side that have to bring perks for little information ? How is this fair to killer who don't also have the option to gain free information ?
How does this even relate to between PC and Console? This sounds more like you realized I was right and threw another random topic to confront me. It doesn't change the fact that that PC has a clear advantage with Framerates and the ability to see a red stain through walls simply by changing the graphics options to low.

I don't know brother.
I am the plainest of plain killers on PC (r17) and I wrecked multiple teams with green and purple ranked players last night.
Prior to cross play, my fellow PC greens and purples generally walked on me like I was made of rug, so there might be a legitimate disparity in quality between PC and console players.
I dunno man. I've been both red rank survivor and killer on both PC, PS4, and PS4 Pro. I find very little difference between them skill wise some killers clearly have an upgrade on PC. I see that the average player is not the strongest player on DBD. Just overall I feel a lot of people think the skill gap between PC and a Console is this huge abyss that's an obvious show. Yet when I switched from PS4 to PC I didn't really notice anything above what I had seen on PS4. Then again this is just my sole experience, but as its my experience as of yet I see little difference in a skill gap between platforms.
On a side note I have noticed survivors still acting like they did when MMR was giving you completely boosted survivors. It seems to only be present with the crossplay between killer and survivor though.

Those are precisely the killers I mean that will bully survivors, of course there are pepega pc players, but there are also very strong pc players which are on average more than our very strong console players
A strong player is a strong player. It won't matter which platform they are on. I've already seen survivor's bully PC Huntress and Nurse who are good and have seen them playing before.

With the arrival of cross play, all the crazy pc nurses, pc spirits and a bunch of other killers that are better on pc now have their chance to show toxic console survivors the real world. So PC players, humble these hyper toxic console survivors.
As someone who plays on both PS4 and PC. I think your overestimating PC players by a long shot.
Most of my friends so far are unimpressed with the crossplay. They see even more of the less than skilled players. Assuming there all console players is a joke 🤣
The only killers who really get a buff between PC and console are Nurse, Clown, Huntress, Plague, Slinger, and Legion.
Enjoy that superiority complex you got going though.

Long ranty post
Tl:dr stop filling the premium track with annoying filler/clutter charms and actually give us some more Unique charms each Rift for Dolls, perk charm etc.
We are on our 4th Rift at this moment.
Keep in mind I'm only talking about a specific set of charms here. I don't have a problem with the nice little niche unique charms that might be low rarity like the triple moon or marshmallows on stick
We have currently head 7 survivors and 7 Killers so far being the tomes and the Rift.
Now each Rift we seem to have I like to call featured characters these are the characters with the purple cosmetics.
With each of these featured characters we get 5 identical charms each. 5 depicting the specific killer's face and 5 depicting something relating to that specific Survivor
So far we have.
5 Trapper's faces
5 Bonsai Trees ( spirit)
5 Huntress' Faces
5 Wraith's Faces
For Killers
___________
5 Two leaves (Claudette)
5 Lions (David)
5 Music note pics (Kate)
5 First place medals (Meg)
For survivors
_______________
Now I get what scaling of each of the charms are meant to be. The standard charm > bronze variant > silver variant > gold variant >iridescent variant.
Yes devs very clever doesn't change the fact that it's annoying clutter. Honestly you don't need more than 2 variants
By themselves annoying but not a problem when combined and you realise that these take up 10 slots each Rift usually in the premium track.
Also leave those who complete the Rift with 40 unnecessary repeat charms cluttering up their charm loadout ( 20 for survivor 20 for killer) and if this trend continues that number is only going to go up each Rift
At this stage it's downright obnoxious to look for specific charms that aren't rare, very rare or ultra rare.
Now the problem is there are actual charms that you can reasonably put on the Rift to avoid having this annoying clutter.
Out of the 14 characters we've had in the Tomes we've got 7 of them as dolls.
Tome 1- Dolls are Trapper and Claudette
Tome 2- Dolls are Spirit and David
Tome 3- Doll is Kate ( no I'm not counting that terrible rabbit doll for huntress especially considering the game doesn't even count it)
Tomes 4 Dolls are Wraith and Meg
So instead of having these annoying cut a charms how about make it so every tome character gets their own doll.
Because so far.
Jane
Doctor
Dwight
Legion ( didn't even have to be Julie specific it could have featured all of them as a group and killed 4 birds with one stone)
Huntress ( still not including it)
Ace
Hag
All don't have dolls.
So do all the people who like and main these characters have to go suck a lemon until they appear on archives again.
Honestly it's too late to go and redo the risks that have been already completed and done but starting with Tome 5 onwards could you please try to stop with the identical palette swap charms.
Add some of the dolls you've missed out on, hell add-on charms, some perk based charms, killer weapon or survivor item charms just something besides 5 of x killer's face being shoved down my throat.
I love Feng Min she's my favourite survivor but for the love of god I do not want 5 controller charms with a palette swap shoved in my face ( provided she's the featured character which I hope she is)
I use the triple moon one. That's because I use moon as my ID though.

Bubbas Not bad either, he's just been controlled by his family, and now the entity. Huntress could also be considered not bad since she's basically a child-minded individual
Edit: same could probably be said for billy since he was locked up for so long, and definitely spirit since she wasn't a killer at all until her father murdered he (though he lore could point otherwise i guess)

So I exited the match, and then I was completely trolled and called names for "rage quitting" even though I didn't rage quit. I was being blinded over and over and over and over from all directions and couldn't even play. I simply left because of the unfair gameplay.
That is complete utter bullshit. I sat there for a few minutes and then just exited the game. I didn't feel like playing after that.
This needs to be fixed.
This seems like a lack of experience from your part. You can still move for a hit and even look up to counter it. Not only that they have a perk to counter this mythic scenario.

The pants would look perfect with almost all the cosmetics just like how the headpiece would look good with almost everything.

Notice: I am 100% sure that all of us who are old players in this dead by Daylight game will agree with me because they know how things were before, new players if they are going to criticize, inform yourself first. Dead by Daylight in times of 2017 was a great game, it was perfect both in killer and in survivor compared to how it is now. They are going to take away the essence of the game. Look at the doctor, the nurse, the ruin and a lot of perks that have ######### over time (DESICIVE STRIKE) as well as mechanics. What I want with this is that all the players of this game reconsider and support me as the developers continue the game is going to end up dying what they have done lately has been a disaster I was dissatisfied with this game since the nerf of Desicive strike in 2019 was not something necessary before criticizing me in this part I have my argument please read before criticizing we all deserve to be heard Desicive strike perk teachable by Laurie strode at level 40 since it came out it has been a very criticized and requested perk by nerf..ok I understand At this point, this will frustrate several killers, because if the team had all 4 players wearing this perk, it would take a long time to understand that point, but was it necessary to render it unusable? Let's think please they are telling me that to occupy it, the killer has to hang up first after I get off the hook, I have 60 seconds of use, which is literally unusable, I heal and almost all the timing has expired, it is true that sometimes it saves you but how rare it is what happens almost never besides now it is so easy to counteract after picking up the killer will go for you and leave you on the ground wait 60 seconds and hang again before having done this destruction that they made this perk so much that they complained about the stun would have reduced it at least but from the beginning it is active or if they wanted it not to start active they could do that ######### mechanic of hanging you first and then they would unload you this active without time so it would be balanced and it would always be used not as they did now this would be all my opinion about the game currently that if they continue as they are now they will die slowly and believe me they will regret later .. Thanks for reading and I hope I come to you and take into account my request
First learn some grammar. Reading a wall of text is annoying. Learn to separate into paragraphs.
Second DS of old was incredibly OP. Even now a good DS can be game breaking with the right surv.
DS in its current state is fine and reasonable. It's a bit of a pain. Also you can tell who has it based on how they act.

It's mentioned in the patch notes, but switching killers while queuing is disabled in preparation for the upcoming matchmaking system. You'll have a separate rating for each killer, so you'll be locked to the killer you have selected when you start queuing. It's not active on PC just yet.
So do survivor get locked into the current skin as well? A lot of quick switching from survivors last second used to let the killer quick switch to a toxic build when survivors did so.

So, what were legendary skins been advertised as? "Completely new character, 2 characters in 1" and so on. A skin that turns ONE character with ONE personality and appearance into ANOTHER with ANOTHER personality and appearance.
In case of Lisa Garland, she kinda fit into that description, despite being a not very good skin: she had different lobby stance and generally looked like a different character as she definitely had a different personality compared to Cheril. People didn't like her because she didn't gave much changes for a 15$ skin, but she fit into description of legendary quality nonetheless.
Now. Guardian of Labyrinth aka Minotaur skin for Oni. Not only this skin doesn't have any changes, but it also doesn't fit into a description of "Completely new character" and here's why:
- Why is GREEK MYTHOLOGY BEAST using a JAPANESE weapon (Kanabo)?
- Why is GREEK MYTHOLOGY BEAST that is HALF MAN HALF BULL charging like a SAMURAI?
- Why is GREEK MYTHOLOGY BEAST mimicking Kazan's Yamaoka sword technicues (in the lobby, in the game during 2nd hit animation and so on)?
Not very major, but nonetheless:
- Why is GREEK MYTHOLOGY BEAST performing Kazan's Yamaoka SIGNATURE killing move? You can argue that ripping tongue and bashing them with a heavy weapon isn't very unique and it's pretty likely for a beast like Minotaur do something like that too and I can partly agree, but nonetheless it just adds up into "not so new character".
- Why does Minotaur have THE SAME VOICE as Yamaoka Kazan? Yeah, Cheril and Lisa have the same voice, but remember that Lisa has unique lobby animation and different facial animations?
I suppose there are some minor changes (animation/sounds) but I haven't noticed them after 4 hours of playing Oni in new skin, so I assume there are none.
In the end, Minotaur skin is just a reskin of Oni. A beautiful one, undoubtly, but just a reskin which I personally CANNOT consider a separate character or LEGENDARY worthy. It is a Purple or Very rare skin, but NOT a LEGENDARY. He has NO unique personality. He is NOT a separate character, but just a purple skin for Oni that is posed as a legendary.
Now, what do I suggest to make this legendary skin BETTER. I'll start from simplest to hardest options in my opinion:
- Make him different voice. Simply lower the pitch of already recorded voicelines, that'll do the trick.
- Give him new lobby animation. EVEN THAT would be enough to give Minotaur a unique personality.
- Create new animations for Demon Dash. Anything noticeable. For example if he additionally lowers his head horns forward like a bull (while Oni keeps his head straight).
- Create new mori animation. Yes. For example - he bashes a survivor with his kanabo/club multiple times or lifts them on his horns.
- Replace his Kanabo. With anything. A big bone, a wooden club, a mace, a n y t h i n g that is not a weapon associated with japanese warriors. An additional point for making a weapon associated with ancient Greece.
I hope you'll do what needs to be done and give Minotaur what he deserves. I've been disappointed in that skin, but I still have faith in you, Devs. Please do the right thing and give Minotaur personality.
Thank you, have a nice day
I was disappointed that he still uses the Kanabo over something like an Axe.

Hello MeridianSky_ :)
We're currently working on some changes for the auras, we do not have any ETA yet but as soon as it is ready we'll let you know.
Thanks!
Mind if I ask what was the reason for the changes to auras in the first place? I know you placed them into a easier place so they won't be bugged or stuff in the future, but I'm generally curious on the visual changes.

Awesome congrats. I was able to get most of mine to P1 outside my 4 killer mains, but I wasn't able to grind like you. Luckily I have around 400 to 600 cakes as well. I only have 2 survivors maxed as we oddly enough.

So I was looking in custom games as survivor just to read over survivor perks. I was looking at many of these perks like distortion, alert and especially detectives hunch and I was just wondering about why many perk builds that you see in red ranks are so unoriginal and not varied. There seem to be many potentially strong perks and builds that you can run for survivor. When I saw detectives hunch I just thought about how insane that perk is. More perks that I would consider to be strong are
Alert: Easy information with little commitment on your end and no real requirements, likely will go off at least three times, more if the killer is running pop
Autodidact: After 3 heals you get to heal extremely fast, with this you no longer have to worry about using medkits to heal fast
Botany: Just a strong healing perk, straightforward.
Dance with me: Paired with life and quick and quiet it can
Dark sense: Similar to alert, little commitment with good information
Detective hunch: This perk is literally crazy, you get so much info
Distortion: Its slightly niche, its kind of countered by bbq so I can understand why its not run often
For the people: An instaheal
Inner strength: We already know about this perk but in my opinion its still underused.
Leader: Basically a second prove thyself
Pharmacy: A good perk in healing builds
Saboteur: You can sabo hooks without a toolbox
Well make it: You can get great healing for 90 seconds, even letting you heal on hook.
Soul guard: This perk is definitely underutilized, it has a purpose as an anti hex perk, which I would say is good due to ruin being slapped onto many killer builds when theres nothing better to run.
Theres likely more that I have not mentioned, those are just the ones that caught my eye, but you get a general idea that there are many strong survivor perks. The only viable survivor perks aren't just the exhaustion perks and ds, through my searching I have found 13 perks that I would consider to be a mix of solid and strong. With this in mind, I genuinely disagree with any survivor who believes that survivors options are very limited or that survivors have very weak perks, which are both untrue statements. There is so much room for creativity in builds for survivor, yet a very common complaint in red ranks is that there is no build diversity. This is not due to the fact that survivors perks are weak at all, it is completely the fault of uncreative survivors. There is so much room for originality yet it feels like there are so many builds that use the same 6 perks.
Before anyone mentions how killers are the same way and run all the same perks, they really dont. Killers often try to find new perks builds with niche perks, as we see with killers trying to tech in forced penance into legion or oni builds. Killers will likely begin to utilize franklins demise and lightborn with those buffs. There are many examples of killers trying perks that arent just the usual stuff like save the best for last, BBQ, and pop. With all this said, survivors should begin to utilize the many solid perks at their disposal.
Because any game that has a competitive environment will eventually earn staple meta things that are normally required to be successful. TCG, Board Games, Video Games, ETC.
Magic the Gathering is a huge example of this. It's been around for so long and majority of decks that are top tier all have similar cards or share cards because those cards give an advantage over other ones.
So when you ask people why they Run X perk that's over Y perk, but it's not meta. It's simply because it gives a stronger advantage over another perk.

Accidentally second post due to a glitch in the matrix.

A perk used by 1% of the red ranks, oh wow what a difference
Lol like red rank ls actually matter of skill, but if someone doesn't want to adapt then it won't matter anyways.
