And that's one of the reasons people bring DS, so they have a safety net in case this happens. I just want to enjoy my game but people like this are the reason I'm forced to use DS in almost all of my builds, unless I play SWF when I know my teammates won't do that just for WGLF stacks (since I do that to them, but I know they have DS equipped and they tell me to farm them for stacks so it's good).
You shouldn't be punished that badly because your team included a console Kate player.
The killer can still come from across the map and follow you for 100 meters, this for 2 times in a match. This is tunneling for me

impossible? It ruins game? Sweety mori ruins my game as well but I don't complain I just move to another game and lose rank killer mains have so many addons and perks that are meta plus 3 moris what this forum would become if we all complained about everything that bothers us in game but it doesn't even surprise me I lost it when I saw thread about removing flashlights out of game as if they're strong lmao
That's "whataboutism " Moris are a problem and will be changed Soon Tm

Killers don't normally camp till endgame. I don't mind the changes but I'd just rather a different change tbh. One that is better at countering anti-tunnelling but not abusible.
That's a problem of how the endgame works. There's no reason for a killer not to camp, except if you're using blood warden

What I believe @Orion means is that, with the iteration of DS you're proposing, it's possible for what @SenzuDuck said could happen, to happen. The killer downs the rescuer, and the rescue-ee goes down shortly after due to many different circumstances, one of which being not having Borrowed Time. From there, the killer hooks the rescuer and you no longer have DS. The survivor who rescued you not having BT is not controllable by you in the slightest, nor is it in your control that they decided to unhook you before the killer. You are being punished for a teammate's stupidity (welcome to solo lol), which shouldn't be the case at all.
So I understood perfectly as I thought. if that situation happens it's the team's fault. Don't rescue in front of the killer, literally.
-
@CustomerService said:
Really bad idea. Killer just needs to literally allow you to tap 1 generator, get touched by 1 team mate, or touch a team mate, and you're automatically going to get tunneled again.
Basically, you want a survivor to be unable to do anything for the rest of the match or DS disappears.
DS is not perfect, but it does put some pressure on the killer to either leave the person who got unhooked be or waste time camping their bodies. In any event, this idea doesn't prevent any tunneling.
? Run away from the hook, go really far away, and heal. Be sure the killer doesn't know where you are anymore, it is super possible just going in a corner of the map!

Y'all still onto ds? Bruh ds do be hunting y'all forever 😂
Because it ruins the game, you can't win against really good survivors, it's impossible

We already buy skins, rifts, chapters, and with more merch and editions of the game they do not need another 10 bucks.
It's been 2 years since they promised 60 fps on console and every patch comes with a significant bug or some frame rate issues and when asked for one game health update they say no or they don't need it. I'd rather wait until they pick up the pace until I pay even more. :/
Wow, a "Trusted" person that actually says something so meaningful and not biased. I would have never expected such a big thing.
EDIT: I mean that I'm surprised actually that not all of the Trusted people stay with the devs always no matter what happens. I tought the role was given only to super loyals, who screams very loud for all the events, just wants to screw around and don't care about the actual health of the game.

I'm tired also

I don't think this is the proper solution. Camping killers will still be able to abuse this.
Camping = DO GENS. Even the game says it in the tutorials (dbd mobile)

I've already paid over $100 for this game. That should be more than enough to have it work right. it would also just be hilariously awful if a developer sold a game for money and then said, "Hey, everyone, give me another $10 and I'll try to fix it for you."
Understandable.

Neither of those are in control of the person being unhooked, which is the problem. If DS is to become a perk that prevents the killer from coming after you right after you're unhooked, then it can't be deactivated if someone else makes a bad save.
Could you explain fully?

-
@Crypticghoul said:
I don't agree with this change as you can end up in situations where a teammate farms you (because you can't stop them from unhooking you without BT for some reason). Killer now downs both of you then hooks savior and then hooks you again because DS is deactivated.
I think touching a gen for more than a quick tap to stop regression, unhooking, hopping in a locker, or doing a bone should deactivate it. This way DS remains a great tool to stop tunneling but you can no longer use it to get in the killer's face aggressively for a minute.
Dbd is not a 1 vs 1, it's an asymetrical game 1 vs 4. If your team makes a big mistake rescuing in front of the killer, that's your team's fault.
-
@Seanzu said:
Both survivors get downed at hook, killer hooks the saviour and deactivates your protection perk, poggers, this sounds super exciting.
Then don't rescue in front of the killer, or use borrowed time
-
@Steel_Eyed said:
Hard pass from me. DS doesn’t even kinda sorta lose my matches. The playstyle of killers that DS bonks is worth the occasional five second stun.
How the perk is works right now is either a super strong anti-momentum and anti-tunneling perk. It must be balanced absolutely
-
@Crowman said:
Personally I don't like the idea of a perk deactivating because of something another player did. I would much rather add a condition to DS that deactivates it based on the actions of the user such as if they unhook another survivor or start repairing a generator.
Exactly, i modified the thread, I completely forgot
-
@Orion said:
Yup, this has already been suggested several times over. However, if you wanted the devs to notice it, you should've posted it in the suggestions section.
Right. @MandyTalk @Gay Myers (Luzi) @Rizzo90 Could you pls move this to feedback and suggestions pls?

I usually touch a gen to see if there is ruin. Depending on that i'll stick to the gen or go looking where the basement spawned so i can plan ahead where to be chased.

yeah, sure, why not....

@Chechia said:
The problem with DS is that it gives survivors god mode for 60 seconds.
It should punish killers for tunneling but instead you can chase another person and hook them, just to find the survivor from before again and get DS in the last second. There are also other scenarios where survivors are hopping on gens or forcing their DS in a locker. That goes beyond the original purpose of this perk.
It really needs it's duration reduced and it should completely deactivate if survivors are starting to work on a gen. If you have the time to do a gen you can't be tunneled, right?
Oh hag it's literally horrible, the amount of hits and exchanges they go just because you have only m1 and no instadowns is insane

Ah, sorry, but what are aggressive plays? I mean when I'm rescued and the killer immediately tunnels me even when my teammate body blocks me if they don't have bt. If people go out of their way to use it then I'd be annoyed, but most of the time we go and heal each other. The minute is to keep you safe while you heal probably, especially if they chase you and down you. You don't need to use the perk, but if you get chased immediately after an unhook then it's fair to me.
It mean that another person can come, trade you immediately, then i hook the rescuer, then you come back with borrowed time and ds and I down you, your teammate escapes, you are now on the ground with ds unbreakable and soul guard and then I'm completely #########, while the other 2 survivors are doing 2 separate gens at the speed of light across the map. and you are invincible combinating multiple perks. that's the poor part
-
@megswifey said:
Of course it's fine-- If tunneling and camping is ok, then so is using a perk that allows me to get away and actually do stuff lol
But the extreme duration of 60 seconds goes completely out of that purpose and allows survivors to do extremely aggressive plays without being punished
-
@bjorksnas said:
You actually can't reach the full dash duration because the chain dash window is only around 1.75 seconds long so you will also lose a little time this is by design
i know this perfectly, but if it lags i lose even more...
-
@piggypablo said:
No need for the all caps, but what do you mean by 'it won't register it and wou won't start another dash'?
It means that I press m2 a half a second before the dash ends, and it's lagging so much it doesn't start another dash. the dash is the single chargem the sweeo the entire thing

I don’t think you can really say this with any certainty. Multiple killers have had latency issues with their powers on dedicated servers, so it’s not like if this issue exists it would be unprecedented.
I said I have 11 ping always, proved by the speedtest. During my lifetime i always gave survivors 40-50 ping during the peer to peer period. It's not me

@Leonardo1ita the OP of that thread has actually confirmed it on this very forum that I edited nothing. I don't deny when I edit a post because if I edit something it's because something isn't in our forum rules - I would never edit someone's post and write GG - that would be incredibly childish and not my style in the slightest. I also usually leave a comment as to why I've edited something.
Ok, I believe you 100% about that question/thing about the "GG post moved", less credibility to coconut now ( even if he may have thought wrong)
But you still have to explain to us what a premeditated attack is and what is considered hostile
Btw editing with a GG would be fun as a joke (just one time 🤣) and then revert it back of course

As I explained in my post, it DOES make the feedback less valuable because more of the community has no idea about the negative feedback in the first place. You might mean it in the sense of the devs looking at feedback, but it should be looked at as BOTH the devs looking at feedback and the community coming together to give valid criticism. The mod team's "superthread" has seriously disorganized most, if not all, constructive-criticism and has mixed it with positive feedback, the same thing that the team promotes on the forum.
I'd argue that having more than one thread IS more organized because the superthread is absolute trash at the moment. You have people supporting the event, you have people listing their issues with the event, and you have people actually commenting on what the thread was in the first place. It's been turned into a monster that no one is going to bother to comb through unless they're dedicated. Instead, make multiple merged threads relating to different issues, like, "Criticism of the event", "Suggestions for future events", "Why is there no event currency?", etc.
It creates less value, but I think it's tolerable for what the mods have to do
-

I never said it wasn't but it has to be within the rules of the forum which are made by the devs.
This is a place where we are given a voice and expected to be respectful while using it.
Then it all depends whether asking others not to give more money for cosmetics to the devs is considered by them a premeditated attack or not
-
@twistedmonkey said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1698369#Comment_1698369
That depends on the context of the thread itself. I have seen so many threads be fine even discussing monetary situation and be left up but then it turns into an argument or gets derailed and they can end up being closed.
Certain things should never be stated such as telling other to stop spending money or boycotting etc since its akin to a witch hunt on the company.
This is their forum and we are just users thry allow to post and discuss things so having people state something to try and harm their means of income, well I don't see any company really allowing that to be fair.
From https://www.etymonline.com/word/argument
So is it unfair to discuss about money?
Btw telling others to stop spending money doesn't mean forcing others to spend money. It's a peaceful protest
And I even if legally the game is of the devs, morally as even M.Cote said this is not just their game, this is a big house now. Morally the community owns a part of the game if it's fair enough, especially considering that if the game is as this point, it's because of people that played it, bought it, found bugs and unbalanced perks, etc.
-

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1698359#Comment_1698359
We're merging threads as it makes it easier for everyone to see the complaints as a collective - if threads were all individual, it'd make it harder to keep track of. Merging threads always has been done as it's easier to forward the feedback.
Even if it's all in one thread - it's still noticed and seen. It doesn't make the feedback less valueable. It's just as valueable as if it wasn't merged.
Ok, I agree that summing up a certain problem in a big thread is a good thing.
But not if the ideas brought by it are mixed with other different ideas, or other concepts.

They still have the choice to move on and start the next gaming project. If a game isn´t viable for earing money anymore, developers move on.
I think there are few ways to protest peacefully:
1 hope new horror games come out, so dbd actually has a solid competitor
2 give them money when they do good stuff and stop buying cosmetics when aspects of the gameplay do not satisfy and simple things don't get fixed
3 Protest with ideas, in the forums, on the medias
-
@OBX said:
Just start putting all the issues on metacritic or steam etc so that more people will know how bad this game has become. Far more exposure there and the mods can’t delete those
This is too much imo, overall the big problems get fixed, but new problems come and old things like literally worthless perks, bad rng, and other stuff don't find even and ideal solution, like "ok maybe 20 pallet totally on blood lodge, and km² dead zones a problem too, we'll fix this by doing x,y, z etc"
-
@Mandy said:
Nobody is censoring anything, people are free to discussing but organising attacks on our outlets is something that is prohibited in our rules - hence the thread you are referring to, being closed.
Organising attacks @MandyTalk ?
So my question is, protesting peacefully with videos and ideas, so no flame wars or insult wars, just peaceful and idea protests made by multiple people, or one person, considered hostile? And is it considered bannable?
