I guess the reason is either your ping, your name or excessive items -
I was pretty much under the impression that crows spawn around the outside of the map to help killers locate the "sneakier" survivors. Very rarely do I see crows near the center.

The only reason clown is good is because he can completely counter Decisive Strike.

I run a really weird build with my hag, it tremendously slows the game down. The only problem, is playing against really good survivors it isn't very optimal because in the end, you basically have to play without perks.
Hex: Devour Hope
Hex: Ruin
Hex: Haunted Ground
Hex: Thrill Of The Hunt
This perk is really fun to play with hag, because you can trap up all of your Hex's and for the most part keep them protected. This build is 100% dependent on either heavily protecting your totems, or just getting a really early hook. And a whole lot of luck. Losing ruin(or haunted ground) first, is absolutely your best case scenario, the survivors generally stop looking for the totems if that happens. Losing Thrill Of The Hunt early on is going to make for a really tough game. -
#########? Thats really weird. I've never seen that.mintchapstick said:I legit hate flashlights. I didn't care until I ran into this David King that did this bullshit thing where he like... I ended up disconnecting because he just kept doing it & I couldn't get away from him.

This is why i can't wait until they implement the bucket system they talked about. So that every single game, no matter what, all 4 survivors will join up at the same time. Wether SWF or 4 solos.Without swf indication and with the new lobby system I ask you, how Iß the killet supposed to know whether you are solo or a 4 man squad?
He will assume the worst, it'd really easy.
Personally I would never dodge a lobby of solo survivors, even if they bring all a flashlight. But since I can't tell..... -
Kinda sounds like this is a killer coming up with some arbitrary rules for what makes the game toxic based on the experience, does it not?Raizinz said:@Jake_Parks_prince said:

Hey man, do you. Tunnel, camp, who cares. Its part of the game. Your job is to kill the survivors. Kill them however you see fit.
Uhhh those are pretty scummy things bud it really shouldn’t even be allowed nor part of the game
So is cheating the system by using external communications. Just because survivors come up with some arbitrary rules as to what makes the game toxic or not based upon how they want to experience their games does not mean that it's right and is obviously one-sided.
-
Holy ignorance. Yikes dude. Ive already explained everything but since you want to be rude, I'll gladly explain it all again for you since you obviously didn't read it and just wanted to be a jerk, instead.AgentTexes said:Killers have the ability and right to choose their lobby. And what the hell are you talking about? Literally the longest I've ever waited as a survivor for a match is when the killer doesn't dodge and we're waiting for one person to fill the last slot.
Finding matches as survivor is easy as pressing a button and waiting 10 seconds.
So how about this.
Stop making "killers stop dodging" or "dodging killers should be punished" posts and just press join and be in a match in seconds and leave the killer who dodged to wait 5 minutes for a match.
You aren't a victim, it isn't a problem, and they shouldn't be punished.
Stop crying.
I dont play claudette, i generally dont play SWF and if I do its only with 1 other person, i don't use items, i don't have bad ping, waiting 10 minutes for a match is beyond annoying. Especially when I wait for 10 minutes to just get dodged and sent back to a lobby waiting simulator.
TLDR 10 minute lobbies to be dodged over and over because killers are afraid to play the game sucks. 10 minutes isnt the worst thing ever, but when its 10 minutes..dodge..10 minutes..dodge.. It makes me not even want to play the game anymore.
-
If you know this is happening to you them don't pick the person up, just slug them and check all the cover near by the survivor. If theres a flashlight guy nearby you'll get an easy hit on him atleast which will scare him off long enough for you to pick up his friend. And if you go to grab the down survivor and he comes back, drop the survivor and get yourself another easy down.TheWraith883 said:Oh really? -
I don't think pallet blind is really that big of a deal honestly. But a good counter to that is playing mind games on the pallet, before breaking it. Just chasing directly behing the survivor and instabreaking a pallet that was just dropped on you puts you in a vulnerable position. But i can't tell you how many survivors ive swung at through the flashlight blind and have hitten for free because they tried blinding at a pallet haha.Master said:

And i don't want to use flashlights lol i think they're awful. I would much rather use a toolbox or medkit. But generally i dont bring any item into the game. -
I'm defintely not a toxic tryhard. I just enjoy playing this game?micsan said:SWF dodging is going to kill this game, it almost already has...The fact that SWF is so toxic right now is a result of SWF dodging.
Most people who are casual players have already quit because SWF is not an option. Who in their right mind will continue to play a game with 10-15 minute queue times? Only toxic tryhards that don't care about the wait time.
If SWF is not an option, I'm not going to play killer, not going to play solo, not going to play duo, I'm going to play something else.
I keep coming back to these forums in hopes of learning that these issues will be fixed, but this very thread makes me think that this is not in the near future.
If I do SWF i generally only do a 2 man group. Very rarely do I do a full 4 man squad. I think everyone needs to stop pushing everyone into a box.
"We dodge because EVERY SINGLE SURVIVOR WITH ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTION is a teababbing p3 claudette who is 4 man SWF with a flashlight and decisive strike!!!!"
Like...per example the other day I was a 3 man SWF and the 4th player, the random, was teabagging the entire game. While, my SWF group is not toxic teabaggers. -
I do play killer at rank 1 actually. And i have never dodged a game.Blueberry said:If you don't understand why killers dodge then you clearly don't play killer at rank 1 at all. Maybe you should to understand why.
As long as this game is as unbalanced for killers as it has been for a long time now, dodges will still happen. It's the only answer when devs refuse to balance properly.
Rip.

Killers have imaginary rules for survivors, just like survivors have imaginary rules for killers.
They wouldnt have added SWF into the game if it was "cheating" and killers are going to camp, tunnel and KILL you. Its litterally their name. Why are both sides such crybabies.
"Gen rushing" is simply survivors doing their objective just like "tunneling" is just killers doing theres.
Does it suck when I'm killer and 2 or 3 gens pop off before i even get a hook? Sure. But I'm aware that it was because I got caught up in a chase and didnt apply any pressure. The same thing will happen wether you're facing solos or SWFs. You don't need communication to know the killer isnt chasing you. Its common sense.
Does it suck when I'm playing survivor and the Leather Face face camps me while nodding his head, sure. But I dont ######### and moan because while I'm hanging out camping with the killer, I know the rest of the survivors are cranking out gens care free, basically ready to escape.

A message to all killers. I never understood why people are afraid to fight any sort of survivors. Are you not a confident killer? Do you think you're bad? I don't get it. I understand killers have almost instantaneous wait times but survivors do not. I can't tell you how annoying it is to wait 10-15 minutes to find a game just to get dodged, sometimes 3 or 4 times in a row.Stop being afraid of SWF groups, half the time i get dodged I'm only a group of 2 people. Sometimes people join up all at once, regardless of them being in a SWF together or not. Ontop of killers being afraid of specific survivors (???) I still dont understand that stigma. "Ope nope. I can't kill them, they have a claudette on the team. Time to dodge"
So TLDR killers, please stop dodging us. We understand you find games instantly but we do not.
-sincerely,
survivors and our ridiculous wait times.I'll dodge a SWF team that comes in with four flashlights. Obviously, they're looking to frustrate me as much as possible, which means I'll have to play extra sweaty to counter it. It isn't a matter of confidence, it's a matter of annoyance. Particularly considering if I'm facing a SWF team, I'm far more likely to burn my best add-on's, but get the same or fewer points as my reward.
But SWF are a pain in the ass anyway. In solo queue matches, if I catch a survivor at my totem, or they happen to loop me past it, only that survivor knows where it is, and I can focus extra attention on them. In SWF, everyone knows. This goes for trap placement and perks as well. If I surprise one survivor with Spirit Fury, I can still use that against the next survivor, and then the next... except in SWF. Once it's used the first time, all the survivors know and will throw pallets earlier to nullify my perk. The same can be done to nullify Make Your Choice and many other perks which, more or less, depend on survivors behaving in particular ways. With traps, since one person seeing it placed means everyone knows, the other members of the team can move in behind me and disarm or remove the trap they never would have otherwise known was there.
Furthermore, relatively few SWF groups are what they should be. If I'm a rank 10 killer, for example, and a SWF team joins in, I may be facing two rank 1's, along with a 15 and 10. Obviously, for less experienced killers, the match is going to go very differently and far more frustratingly than against four players with more or less the same experience and skill as himself.
What's really funny though are how many survivors, who play SWF primarily, complain that they face Nurse, Billy and Spirit in almost every match. The killer may not have planned to play those killers, but to counter SWF, they are the best choices.
Of course, you know all this, because these are the advantages you enjoy while playing SWF. That you're complaining that another player may not want to play against that demonstrates just how little empathy you have for other players. I'd recommend you stop complaining about being dodged, and make suggestions for how to make matchmaking better, or how to give Killers some other balance when facing SWF teams, or at least an incentive to play against them.
I would take 4 flashlights over even 2 toolboxes any day. You know they are all flashlight fkboys and you are going to have easy game.
-
Related, i totally understand your gripe about this off the wall comparison. I guess it only makes sense in the mindset that killers objective is to kill the survivor, and survivors are supposed to finish gens. But thats about it lol
-
And what about the people who dont use 4 man swf and still get dodged? Some of these killers will literally dodge for any reason they can find.Rebel_Raven said:

I don't get it lol.
If there was no SWF survivors would just lobby dodge until they were in the same lobby as their friends, and still stack the advantages.
These advantages are largely chat that isn't included with the game to organize into something the game isn't balnced for.
The game is balanced around 4 solos who don't chat with the others. The game is supposed to be anti social, and it's why we have perks to communicate with eachother like Kindred, and Aftercare.
I'm sure if the overwhelming majority of SWF played without organization, and chat, we might not have as much of a problem.
But they don't. So they get dodged.
"Well they had a claudette. I don't fight claudettes."
"Someone had a flashlight"
"They wore ANY cosmetics, even free, starter cosmetics"
"They came in empty handed? Nope too confident. Gotta go."

No sir. Even if they have perfect flashlight timing, if you spam the drop bottom during pick up animation, you will drop them with no problem. If the survivor times it right you will start to get blinded as you are picking them up and hit full flashlight stun after you have just finished picking them up and drop the survivor with no chance to move or the game acknowledging a key pressYou can spend the entire time spamming R but it won't make a difference.
Edit: you will still receive a momentary flashlight stun, but will not let the survivor run free. -

"Very easy to counter as killer"
Ok lets unpack this.
* They won't use a torch unless the killer is doing something which locks them into a position in which they can't look away, like Pickup animations, breaking a pallet, window vaults etc etc"They are vulnerable" The optimal blinding distance for the flashlight is not in a killers face it's out of even lunge range but that does not matter because see point 1.
"while those flashlight survivors are hugging their tunneled friends, that's time spent doing absolutely nothing" it only takes 2 people 1 to get downed and 1 to flash, the other 2 will sit running gens as usual.
So on the whole i can't say i agree that flashlights are the worst i actually believe toolboxes are, they only up repair speed and sabotaging hooks is not nearly as useful as it used to be.
You could run lightborn, look away, drop the person, pretty much all of these are very simple counters too a flashlight. Do your best not to pick people up out in the open, patrol the body for a second before you pick them up. So many easy and simple counters to flashlights.
Toolboxes are the best item lol. Gen rush is real. The entire objective is too finish gens. So to act like the flashlight guy isn't screwing over all the survivors playing king altruism is just silly.
Not all people have flashlights on the loading screen, and you cannot lookaway on pickup or drop them if the timing is right and try not to pick them up in the open? yes i will let them run for a bit longer to get to the killer bus stop for pickup, hopefully they won't find a pallet.
Lightborn is all well and good but a perk slot wasted because of people being able to blind a killer when he's locked into an animation and has no control over his character is pretty dumb.

I think overall everyone needs to stop whining about things that are simply a part of the game. Killers are gonna camp, tunnel and kill you any way that they possibly can. Just like survivors are going to use every item, perk and loop they can to survive. Thats literally what this game is made for lol.
Everyone needs to focus on the real problems with this game, like disconnecting and lobby dodging. -
Exactly. It's so overplayed. Killers will say anything to dodge a game. I rarely ever play 4 man SWF, if i do SWF its usually with 1 other person. I dont use Flashlights because of how weak they are. I don't think so, after being shocked its like a 5 second stun isnt it? It could be shorter, maybe 3? But this isnt just in madness, its whenever you're hit by shock therapy. I'm not really complaining about that, that is a necessary part of docs toolkit.SnakeSound222 said:

I never used a Splinter before, since I bought all the DLC at once when I got back into the game. Do you get any Perks or Add-Ons when you use them? Because without Perks, or even with her own unique Perks as they are kinda terrible, Amanda is not too easy to play and without the Combat Straps, at least at the moment, her crouch is almost worthless after the match starts, so the Splinters never struck me as a very good demo of the Killer, especially poor old Freddy.

My favorite killer is Wraith, bing bong.
For survivor I'd say Jake, 'cuz he's the one that looks the most like me, even tho I'm not Asian
