Don’t know why anyone would still play on consoles in 2026 where you have to pay to play online and they keep increasing the cost of the subscription every year… come to PC my sister. Everything carries over between platforms
-
When I use my DS and BT aggressively, I almost always expect the killer to tunnel me out and I never blame them because I forced the chase. That david is just an entitled person that’s only complaining because they got outplayed. You also gotta know when to force it, if you do it at 5 gens don’t expect to escape
-
For the people complaining about balance… you’re in the minority. Just take a look at the player count it’s never been this high before. Bhvr should do new events like this one more often that focus on fun and ignore the killermains that are terminally online here
-
They’re just going to leave it like this for a couple months so the killer mains can move on to the next perk to hate on and then they will revert it once it’s forgotten

Its not an exploit its a feature him being that far from the pallet when getting damaged is because latency. If Kaneki vaults over a pallet or a window that survivor is close enough so their models collide will cause lose of one health state.

(Reposting here what I said on a different post about Michael being overtuned as it also applies here)
It’s all by design to push sales to make the license holders happy, same reason why kaneki is still so overtuned and why the next licensed killer will be OP too. They don’t balance based on spreadsheets but on what the IP owners want (unless it’s an orginal killer like the skullmerchant you can get for shards, then they just nuke it)
I also think BHVR is financially struggling which is why they “announced” the 10th anniversary so early, to promote their €250 collector’s set with as little backlash as possible. Did you guys also notice in the happy holidays post by Mandy there are links to different indie games? Which probably all paid BHVR to promote their games on their website? It’s all about the money now, I don’t see a future for DBD in their hands sadly…

As a Myers main (when I play killer), I would go out on a limb and say that they went too far with his buffs.
Slaughtering Strike is much too forgiving, and it can completely bypass exhaustion perks like Sprint Burst, Lithe, Balanced Landing etc.
Flicking on PC is also way too easy to do, and you are almost always guaranteed a down whenever you use it, since there is no counterplay to it, other than pre-dropping.I'd say they need to tone down Slaughtering Strike's duration of the charge itself to roughly 65% of what it is today, and also make stalking take 2x or 3x longer, as compared to what it does today, since it is way too easy to get fully stalked, and gain access to a very strong ability.

More than likely, they lost the licenses due to them making their own video game, a.k.a. Hellraiser and Halloween. However very happy Mike will be unavailable for purchase that guy is too OP RN
They probably did that on purpose too since they knew he was going to get removed. Now content creators are putting him in A tier so when newbies hear about that + him getting removed, they quickly buy him filling bhvrs pockets

Hey folks! With regards to the pallet density changes, as you dig into the changes, if you run into anything that you're not digging please do let us know. We can make sure the feedback is shared with the team.
Importantly, the more specific you can be, the better. If there's a specific loop or tile that you feel is too strong, let us know which one it is - bonus points if you can provide screenshots! You guys are a joke
-
I don’t understand how it went from a survivor sided patch to a fully killer sided patch lol, like where is their backbone?
-
Still too survivor sided… they should remove the rock too!

Hey another us vs them!
if you read the whole post you would know that I also talked about killer, the whole game is just an unbalanced mess and soloQ is feeling the brunt of it

Guys, my wife said she’s leaving my ass because my upvote to downvote ratio is too low on the internet 😭😭
My boss also found out and said he doesn’t want someone like me in his teeeeammmm 😢
-
Atleast now people will start abusing it and BHVR will be forced to patch it… sad that that’s what it takes to get something fixed

I totally hear the frustration here and know I personally can't change how these nerfs feel for you, but I do want to make sure the feedback I'm bringing back to the team is as specific as possible and as representative of your experiences in the game as possible. With that, it makes it easier to advocate for changes.
If you don't mind me pulling this back a step to dig into the details, I'd like to ask two specific questions:
1. Of the two recent nerfs to Fog Vials (reduced opacity; max 2 charges), do you feel that one of these in particular pushed the item from feeling viable to feeling like it's not worth using? If so, which was it?
2. If you could make one specific change to Fog Vials that'd push them towards being an item you'd enjoy using, what would it be?
I hear the more general feedback (and rest assured, it's being collected and shared with the team), but if there are specific facets of the recent nerfs that felt most impactful, I want to make sure I'm giving them my particular attention. That, and things that could make Fog Vials feel better for you (like the great suggestions of increasing the total charges a little more). You guys are so clueless, it’s pathetic lol. You should’ve only done 1 of the 2 nerfs (preferably the max charges) and not both. I don’t know why we even have to take the time to tell you this as you guys would’ve found this out yourself if you played your own goddamn game

I can’t believe that survivors can crouch walk in a small part of the map for 8.5 minutes before they get 1 crow, and 12.5 minutes before they get 3 crows.
I severely hope that when the phase 2 changes happen for camping, tunneling, and slugging, that BHVR has the same mindset that they did with the AFK crows, where the changes are so small that they are barely noticeable.
Math:
1 crow = (120 seconds / 0.25) + 30 seconds =510 seconds = 8.5 minutes.
3 crows = (180 seconds / 0.25) + 30 seconds =750 seconds = 12.5 minutes. So? If they’re crouch walking they’re not AFK, just like how the anti-camp feature only works if a killer is basically hugging you. It’s not meant to give you free information

adding this here as well..
I feel like everyone is taking that tweet too literally…. when they say that Frank is an unique being, they mean that you should see him as something more than just a simple skin for the trapper (even though he is just that). It does not mean that they have plans to add him as a killer
I have friends with autism that also tend to take some things too literally so I can understand why some people thought we were getting a new killer

locker hopping is now a win condition.
The last person left in the trial can literally never lose, so this also encourages locker hopping and holding the game hostage.
Slugging, and then immediately hooking everyone is also not a win?
Abandoning a match as a survivor should always count as a loss, because they are either in a no win situation, or because they are deliberately holding the game hostage. Why should either be rewarded?
I'm just going to bring four stealth perks every match and try to hide until the timer is up, no joke. EVERY survivor match I'm in solo q I will do this, and I really do hope everyone else does as well so BHVR can see what a terrible idea this was.
Nah most normal people don’t care about some imaginary number you can’t even see but if you want to hide all match doing nothing, you do you I guess 🤷♂️
-
If Oni’s 180 was an expression of skill, then crouching against blight, demo and billy was an expression of skill too. So you’re okay with undoing that change too?
-
Well even if you weren’t hacking, you still abused the speed you gained for an unfair advantage. You deserve a ban, if you actually felt bad you would’ve let the survivors escape
-
Survivors>Killers
-
They sound the same to me 🤷♂️
-
This is probably their attempt at shaking up the meta by trying to force survivors to bring totem cleansing perks like counterforce which won’t work as the comment above mine shows. People will just go next
-
Damn banned for 10 years… what did you do to deserve that? What kind of bug/glitch?

Recovering from the dying state itself is whatever. I feel the act of activating plot twist itself though should be considered a conspicuous action the moment you crouch and hit the button.
What are you still arguing about? Recovering and healing are not the same, even a dev has said it. What’s next on your list if plot twist gets butchered? UB+DS which effectively does the same thing?
-
Remember BHVR, the forums do not represent the majority of the playerbase. Almost everyone I know is happy with these changes and thinks you should have even went further with them.
-
I’m still running it every game since 2020 and it has saved my and my teams bottom countless of times. Like someone else here said, it can turn a guaranteed 3k into a 1k if you can bait the killer into chasing you again after getting unhooked and if you also have DH, the killer will almost certainly lose that match. It’s still a really good perk, you just have to know now when to force it and when NOT to.
I also like the mindgame of trying to force a grab through slow/medium vaults when you only have seconds of DS left and the killer knows it too so they try to avoid it -
@Sngfun said:
The thing is, as long as survivors place turrets directly next to tunnels he will be significantly stronger than against actually good survivors.
I mean, the cooldown for tail hits is significantly greater than basic attacks, and the turrets literally shutdown 3 seconds after xeno exits a tunnel to teach survivors to NOT do that yet they just do it over and over again and accidentally buff xeno lol
Almost like there are 35 other killers survivors face each with their own counterplay right? Most people who play this game are casuals who only play it a few times a week so expecting them to know the counterplay to every killer is ridiculous, especially the newly released ones
-
The blights I’m playing against have absolutely zero problems destroying us with 3-4 gens still up so you probably know what I’m hinting at 🤷♂️
-
no thanks
-
Well to stop playing the game, they have to first get out of the match no?

It's always weird to me that players think they need to be convinced to keep playing a game they signed up for. If you DC that often, that's on you, don't be surprised that other people are salty you decided to flip the board when you left.
DBD matches aren't that long, even the ones that really drag out last like 15-20 minutes at most, unless the other side is actively trying to take the game hostage.
It’s always weird to me that players expect others to play out an entire match like they signed a contract stating that they HAVE to finish that game or else there will be dire consequences. It’s a video game, not work. If I’m not having fun, I’m out. I’m not going to be some killer main’s toy to take their real life frustrations out on.
Everyone warned BHVR this would happen when they removed old hatch but they didn’t listen. Survivors need a reason to keep trying and right now, there’s none

Their insane tos for getting the free key is why I didnt redeem it
What did it say? I haven’t tried to get a key for it
-
I had a hacker help me out once against a tunneling nurse who had both recharge addons and had already hooked me twice at 5 gens. We both clicked our flashlights at her (which had infinite batteries) for the entire match and I still have zero shame about it. So I guess it depends on the killer. If it’s an M1 killer like ghostface then yeah, I’ll probably feel bad and give him the kill but against a nurse or blight? 0% chance

@Yatol said:
no, how often does every player in a game DC?
Yep, if it happens so often that it becomes a problem for you, it’s probably because of the way you play
-
I can’t really say I missed him
-
Because it’s fun? What kind of answer were you expecting? And if you let them go 2nd, you’re also hurting your own chance of survival

If someone doesn't wanna stay in the match, the DC penalty doesn't force them to stay. The DC penalty prevents them from immediately trying to hop into another match. People should not be able to shop for the perfect opponent/map that suits their tastes.
So you also agree then that killers should not be able to lobbyshop looking for the easiest survivors?

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/401651/your-thoughts-on-forced-4k-by-killer
Hatch has always been a terrible design. It incentivizes killers to play this way to get the 4k, and it incentivizes the survivors to "give up" and hide instead of do their objective if they think the game is a loss so that their teammates can die and they can get the hatch. Creating negative incentives on both sides.
And that is when it works incorrectly. When it works correctly, it gives the survivors multiple second and third chances after they lost the game. Think of it this way. For a survivor to escape through the hatch in a typical game they must:
- Have failed to finish the generators.
- Then they have a 50/50 shot of finding the hatch against the killer
- If the killer finds it first, then they get a 50/50 shot of opening the gate, some RNG makes it so the killer can't patrol both gates, and certain killers can't defend both gates.
So basically, after failing their objective, then failing their objective, then failing their objective a THIRD time is the killer given the 4k. Seems a bit silly to me.
A better solution would be, once the last survivor remains, it teleports both sides to a small map similar to the past Halloween event with a pallet or 2 and some windows. Then:
- The killer's movement speed is set to 115
- The survivors movement speed is set to 100
- Bloodlust is disabled
- All perks are disabled (survivor too)
- The killer power is disabled.
Then its a simple survival game. The survivor now has 2 minutes to run the killer and they get to escape, if they don't, the killer gets the 4k. Simple, single second chance, that is skill based and not RNG based that allows both sides to have the chance to express their skill.
Then they can fix the survivors hiding and waiting for the teammates to die problem by giving them crows if they don't work a gen for a while.
So what if a single survivor escapes, there’s literally nothing on the line my guy. You’re forgetting that DBD is not a competitive game and the things you’re suggesting would make the game even more dull. RNG is what keeps every match from playing out the same
-
I was already wondering why I was having so much fun playing survivor, now I know why
-
Yeah I bet BHVR is peeing their pants now that a kid is threathening to sue them 😢
You have to accept their ToS before you can play their game which states that they can do whatever they want with their content and you don’t own anything in this game. They could literally shutdown the game now without owing you anything.
It looks like you were getting carried by his bugs, I guess you’ll have to learn how to play now
-
So what you’re saying is, is that blight is overtuned and needs a nerf so we can get more killer diversity?
-
How did the devs manage to eff it up this bad? For years windows have been killer sided and when fast vaults actually get buffed to work like they’re supposed to, it gets reverted because crybaby killer mains are used to getting hits they don’t deserve. Now survivor is literally unplayable, atleast female characters are. We need the new vaults back

I hope TCM turns out great because I’ve lost my faith in these devs. They have no idea what they’re doing with their game and it seems they just got lucky it became so popular

I rather be bleed out for 4min once in a blue moon, than having base UB and those lame mori animations in the game loop.
However I am not against doing something with this, just not the original plan they proposed on PTB
A simple fix would be giving the last survivor alive the option to bleed out instantly after getting slugged for atleast 10 seconds so the killer still has time to hook them. But we’re talking about bhvr here so…

I agree BL should be removed as it is unfair that it is in the game with how amazingly well done these "reworked" maps are.
You’re demo, if you can’t hit them when they go for the window it’s a skill issue
-
Exposing survivors and breaking pallets with your mind are both broken and should not return next year
