No, they are broken. I had the misfortune of playing plague before dedicated servers. Back then you would hit a survivor, they would get splashed by puke, scream, and then the actually be infected.
Right now you can literally watch the survivors wave their hands around and scream like they got hit with 0 infection happening. I think it's the most obnoxious bug in the game to me and I never play her because of it.
It's a dedicated servers thing, not hitbox thing... but yeah, it can be very obnoxious on the ranged killers.

My braincells stop working on plague too after I am thrown into a rage by completely broken vomit hitboxes. No killer do I ever feel more robbed on than Plague.
You mean, you have problems when playing as the plague? If yes, i can probably try to explain it a little because they are in fact pretty weird, but certainly not broken...
-
Noed used to work like that, it was even worse becuase it had no counter.
The real problem with noed is that you don't really have to do anything for it.
The idea behind noed was that it will be so oppresive people will start wasting time to do totems... but nowdays no one does totems, you just cleanse noed when it spawns...
If you truly want to counter noed just bring hope, it makes so killer doesn't get adventage of the speed boost.
Also... who nowdays complains about noed? Low skill survivors? Meta has shifted, noed is rarely used because adrenaline isn't used anymore and killers just have much better endgame options. Lately i saw noed a handful of times and it always has given 1 more kill at most...
Does noed need a change? Yeah... Does your change fix issues on it being a perk that is just weak but unfair for weaker players? No.
-
Nah, there is a step 2...
Go to psychiatrist after the pain you have been through and at least get some sleeping pills to sleep semi normally instead of hearing constant screams of agony...

No we want Alchemist Ring nerfed because it's actually problematic.
Anyone asking for Adrenaline Vial nerfs is throwing out some massive bait or just mad lol.
To be honest, the recovery effect of adrenaline vial is so good that from survivor pov it seems like killer is using alchemist ring...

I also had a daily to heal of survivors 3 times, so that plus the rift makes it 4 times in total I have to heal people.
Nope, if doing at once it's still 3, but diffirent survivors, so... goodluck with that with CoH self healing meta :/
But probably if you want to do it, best thing to try is perk that increases healing speed by 100% after unhooking someone. It makes people allow you to heal them way more often.
-
Well... you have to heal 1 health state of ANY survivor... so just use COH, medkit or if you want to make your team mad selfcare (i really hate when someone selfcares next to me... or even worse, i will never forget this one clip, where there are 2 survivors self caring next to each other spotted by nurses...)
-
I hate a game that was realy laggy... luckily 2 survivors had flashlights, so i knew when the lag happens based on the flashlights' clicking noises...
-
I went here with popcorn ready expecting a true shitstorm... but that... that is even better
-
Playing m1 killer wasn't that bad... when hits through pallets were a thing.

Hot Take.... having 10 gen slow down perks doesn't make the game balanced. If a killer needs those perks to balance the game at high level then the game is not balanced.
Lets remove the gen slow down perks and balance gen speeds instead of making bandaids killers need to have :)
It will only make camping and tunneling even more of a neccesity...

Well sometimes the killer refuses to drop chase and I’m required to run the killer all game.
And that's why they introduced so an actively chased survivor had emblem points in other categories...
But with mmr they went back to times before emblems... such a jump backwards... why?
-
Well, sliding is what actually distinguishes good and meh players. It's easy to just slam and hit, but slides and flicks requires some more skill, when and how to use.

Yes, Solo is pretty much impossible now due to killers being overpowered and have been for awhile now. There is no way BHVR can buff solo without heavily nerfing the overpowered killer meta.
Not really, solo is impossible because mmr doesnt work like it should so you always get at least one meghead in your team.

This is the kind if lack of empathy that you see a lot here, this "hur dur you reap what you sow, you get the kind of game play that yiu deserve. YOU DESERVE THIS!! THIS IS YOUR OWN DOING!!!1111ELEVEN"
I mean on one hand BHVR bends over backwards claiming that this game isn't competitive and that everyone should just chill and have innocent fun, but then they build it and its surroundings like a super competitive esport with SBMM, so that "every game will reflect your skill level and be just perfect."
I never experienced it before DBD that you are that harshly punished for just being a bit above medium good. Are the only options either sweating EVERY SINGLE GAME like its the playoffs are the world championship, or purposefully closing your eyes to opportunities and letting people escape that you could easily catch, just to artificially keep your MMR at a level were you don't sweat?
BHVR has stated time and time again that they don't want to fracture the playerbase with an unranked playmode because they know fully well that no one will wanna play ranked as it is right now.
I mean, I would try it: the new rank rewards are already good enough. Add the rift cosmetics into he mix and maybe a few more goodies each season and people will play it.... but will also have the opportunity to relax at a nice game of unranked.
Add to that mmr is more random than throwing a dice. One game you get swat squad, the other you get... well, something, i can't even desribe what that is, some survivors are just something else.

Welll she’s not wrong
Except that her logic is completely based on that survivors were better than i was.
This logic put in the simplest manner goes like this:
Killers are overpowered because a weaker killer, beaten stronger survivors with better items, by using in game mechanics.
It's impossible to say, who of us was better, but i can say that they weren't the best survivors in a chase, they only did gens extremally fast.
Another flaw is that the fact that i beaten them (3 kills) was not a draw (2 kills) because of something that happens once in a million times, how often do you see a facecamping zombie that changes trade into another down?

Your actions can influence how long the game lasts, though.
Well... i prolonged a game by like a minute because i menaged to zone out 2 survivors out of the exit gates and hooked person area...
Killer can't really make games longer in these scenarios... gens are just done way too quickly.
-
@WesCravenFan said:
You got a 3K in five minutes? Sounds like you wanted to sweat for the win on purpose. You created your own outcome.
Well, no sacrifice was finished before all gens were done, brand new parts made game going with this pace, after 3 minutes with 1 gen left what else what i was left to do? Either give up and have nor fun, nor bp, only t-bags or start sweating.
Also, yes, i created my own outcome because when i played sweaty survivors brought brand new parts. Think logically, my actions during the game can't influence what survivors bring.

This is a measure of your skill. Dont complain about add-ons cause you can bring just as strong add ons as well. Dont complain about perks either cause nothing is stopping you from bringing the strongest perks of your choice. All in all stop complaining about the game being either sided when it just comes down to your skill and strategy determining the outcome of the games you play.
Also what does playing like a "scum" mean there isnt a rule book or guidelines you have to abide by, you should play according to the strategy you have in mind. I need to remind and stress the fact that its a "GAME" not real life. You are not a scum for camping and tunneling nor are you a scum for blinding the killer or clicking the flashlight.
Use the "GAME" for its intended purpose "FUN" and stop taking things that happen in-game personally.🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Now read what i wrote carefully and slow because you missed the problem i brought... game forces you to play in a scummy, UNFUN way and so 2/3 of your comment doesn't have any sense and the rest is just saying "there is no such thing as playing as scum", which is just an opinion. For me, playing in a way that denies fun factor is scummy.
-
Shackles, if they weren't changed, are the strongest because you can instateleport without the animation of hag coming out.
For my favorite gimmivky build it's shoe + severed hand... you play as 115% killer, which can offput survivors that can just block pallets/windows even sometimes the basement... but you are doomed on some maps.

I would prefer if they removed one 0 in price of every item in bloodweb, this mistake was in game for way too long.

Or just adapt the old emblem system into mmr, it wasn't perfect, but it was better than what we have right now.

Considering that they had to rename perks such as Surge, which I cannot even fathom why this would be licenced, I would imagine that most of Demo's mechanics would also be licenced.
Well, in the contract they just could have perk names, in which case, when the contract was terminated they had to either lock perks, just like they did with demo, or rename them. Now, the question is how demo's mechanics were defined in this contract.

Except in this example the MVP would need the score the goal. No matter how many assists, blocked shots, stolen passes, and more the individual player has. In DBD they don't care about all the smaller stuff for your MMR. At least in hockey an MVP has a chance to be recognized for their skill and move to a team that wins. In DBD despite all your great plays in game, if you don't escape you're doomed to lower MMR if you die.
Personally I don't mind the system. But BHVR needs to add more categories to the MMR scoring. Kills/Escapes are fine to include but they cannot be the only factor.
The neat thing is that they introduced emblem system because kill/escape was decided to be not good when considered alone. Making mmr nothing more but a step backwards XD

A killer that forces survivors to dance making them unable to do any action (except unhooking, vaulting etc).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6XK4S8OQPuU -
From things that happened recently my favorite was when survivor was heaing at the exit gate... i menaged to lunge in such a way that she has fallen in the wrong direction, which has given me 3rd kill... sometimes survivors should really just leave...
-
This tech is what makes nemesis actually interesting and requires some skill.

Why demo is fun:
Survivors seal portals: You are happy because they are not on gens
Survivors doesn't seal portals: You are happy because you can teleport around the map freely
*Happy interdimensional creature noises*

@Tranquil_Blue said:
It totally depends on your preferences. Just keep this in mind for context: if you have all killer perks unlocked, it would take something like 5.5 - 7 million bloodpoints to get a killer from level 0 to having all perks fully tiered up. (And many millions more if you want to prestige.)
And that's why they have to reduce the grind in this game.

It's very hard to solve the box while being targeted by chains, you need to watch where the chain will spawn, seek cover and start solving before the chain is gone. I am not sure if that is intended as chains will not spawn during the solving of the box. One alternative would be to keep the progress between attempts instead of resetting it and another could be still attaching the chains during the solving but not interrupting it.
First solution isn't good because it will be possible to solve the box while being chased.

His turn rate felt terrible, even with the yellow steering add-on; and of course the hitbox of getting right up near a survivor with a chainsaw, yet not touching them. It felt really rough letting go of a chainsaw sprint too (without bumping into anything).
I think there was a change to his turn rate at the beggining of his chainsaw sprint and to number 2, maybe you just face survivors that are good at dodging chainsaw, personally i just go a few steps back and look down and aim at their legs and in terms of the third one i have no clue,

how is a xenomorph or the thing humanoid? the thing just mimics humans
Xenmorph can be bipedal (in case of human hosts) and has large head, it also adapts dna of the host.
The thing is a humanoid, when it mimics humans.

Alien( AKA Xenomorph), The thing, Some type of monster ect. Also, why would it be hard to make one?
Still humanoids.
And why hard? They would have to create a skeleton model, hitboxes, completely new set of animations, make it fit game mechanics (carrying survivors, destroying walls/gens/pallets, vaulting windows, etc.) and considerng that non humanoid characters would move on 4 limbs, there would be issues with 1st person camera (rotating near walls would result in killer's model clipping through walls)

The wiki states "Around July 2016, three in-game files were added to the Game's icon folder:
- Trapple
- , a Survivor Item.
- Detention
- a Killer Power.
- Underperform
- , a Killer Perk.
The addition of those files fuelled speculations that they belonged to a new, upcoming Killer, likely Teacher-themed. This was further fuelled by an announcement by the Developers, that were working on the first ever Chapter DLC, supposed to be released about in August 2016.
Eventually, the new Killer turned out to be The Nurse
and The Teacher's files remained unused ever since."
The wording of that makes me think that the files just got put in the game in a random patch.
Or the nurse was oryginally supposed to be a teacher but they scrapped this idea during the development. It wouldn't really need much of work.

i consider non-humanoid as having little to no human body features
And who is in your opinion non-humanoid, asking because you are asking for "another" one.
The importance of this is that, creating a non humanoid killer for this game would be really hard if even feasible.
-
"So right now everyone thinks boons are overpowered yet they can't think of any good solutions in order to solve the issues with them."
There were many propositions, like make strenght of a boon dependent on the distance, make them one use only, make circle of healing give either self care or healing speed buff.
-
That's the problem with this game, devs balance around the statistics, not fun factor and because: if something isn't broken, then don't fix it, they won't be changing such things as camping/tunneling viability anytime soon.
-
Non humanoid killer? So far all killers are humanoids (yes, deogorgon is a humanoid creature) because humanoid is any entity which body is similiar to human's.

i mean yeah MMR's skill metrics are absolutely awful, but you're complaining about winning the chase. Winning a chase doesn't necessarily mean you escaped the chase, it means the killer wasted far more time than you gained for your teammates to complete your shared objective. Your argument against it would apply to a plethora of other issues that need to be addressed as well, so singling out BL is a bad faith argument.
also, scoring a hit or breaking a pallet resets BL. route to a god pallet and you just reset their speed entirely.
I gave you a reasoning why complaining about losing a chase because of getting caught after 5 minutes because of bloodlust is reasonable. Now, i agree that the issue is with mmr and not with bloodlust, but it was a problem for a long time, that a person who was chased for 5 minutes depipped, which was partially solved by giving said person a partition of other emblems... i still have no idea what devs were taking, when designing mmr...

- ELO hell doesn't exist.
- You'll also be facing lower MMR killers.
If game has a proper mmr system it doesn't... but if there are 2 peaks instead of one then it does.
Now, the problem, which was clearly visible when emblem system existed... you weren't climbing up from low elo by surviving, but by doing stuff that allowed you to pip. On lower ranks dying because of teammates doing nothing was common and considering it's 4 v 1, a single terrible player will destroy your game and if 2 peaks indeed exist then statistically elo hell exists for survivors because it will likely pair you with random players from higher and lower peak.
That's why i want to see these statistics

One day people will finally realize nurse isn't as hard as they think she is
You need to play her frequently to not get too rusty and you will always have a way for becoming better with her... but, she is the most annoying killer to play as and you will slowly lose sanity and become hollow. Jesus christ, going into underground on temple because there was a slight step on your way... ugh... or going through void itself when teleporting through buildings on Myer's map... even her screams of pure agony will alone drill themselfes into your head...
