There are a few stealth killers and ghostface is by far the best (at the stealth aspect if you use him for stealth) but what do other killers and survivors think of him? I love him and think he’s good for a scare and it’s fun to be able to show your friendly by a t-bag and get t-bag revenge on the t-baggers.

I don't mind ghost face but I just wish he couldn't just mark you in a chase and down you instantly.

    Okay.

The solution: do not care about it.

I have been accused of cheating when playing Legion, 'cause I used Killer Instrinct to spot a guy in a locker. My reaction? "lmao, ok"

It doesn't matter what the victims think of you, as long as you aren't actually cheating, they can be as salty as they like. Enjoy the free BOT bloodpoints and move on with your day. :)

I just thought it was funny tbh. I've never had a simultaneousl 4 person DC happen in all my time playing killer and I was barely even trying since I was running one of my "for fun" builds lol

It's just a sign of how much of an impact you've made it in this game.

Your next achievement is to get your first ######### messege from a salty player. And then your first derogatory slander. Followed by how much those things become commonplace in your games.

    You're In Deep by then.

I've been doing this and buying skins with iri shards since Trickster's rework. I bought chucky with spare auric cells i already had on my account, and I was gifted some DLCs afterwards. I do not spend nearly as much on this game as I used to.

Regardless again, I am mostly talking about Bloodpoints, which can only be earned through time and gameplay. Not having any way to get them back after you spend them is insane to me

You won't be getting BP back either so.....

Yup. I own every single survivor and yet only play a small handful of them. I bought them for their perks, most of which have been changed (nerfed) since. Bring back old Dead Hard, CoH, DS, IW, etc etc or else I demand a refund

    /s just in case

It's insane to me that people buy into live service games without understanding exactly what that means lol

The sense of entitlement is quite amusing tbh. People never actually read The ToS/EULA before agreeing to it lol.

So as many people may know, there is bit of a DC problem in the game. I've seen it on streams, clips on Twitter and it's happened to me quite a lot during my killer.

While the matchmaking timer thing KINDA works, I don't think it solves the problem. So I was thinking of some potential ideas.

When Killer Instinct came out it had a little thing called Rage Quit jail. Where if you DC'd a lot you get a mark that's seen by anyone you play against and if you keep doing it, you'll be put into a the Rage Quit Jail which is just you being matched with other Rage quitters.

Now it wasn't perfect by any means so to have something like this it would take some tinkering to take into account stuff like "Player had to leave for an emergency" or "Power went out suddenly" to make sure it doesn't mark those players. Basically if you play ten games in a row and only DC'd during one of them. You're fine. But if you play those 10 games and DC during 7-8 of them. You'll be marked.

Also thought about something like when you're in a lobby a message pops up saying "Hey this player has been known to DC/Give up on first hook/etc. You and the other players may vote to kick them from the lobby" and put it to a vote between the other 4 players.

    What do you y'all think.

Give us a give up button then.

  • @Huge_Bush said:

No he doesn’t. He just needs an add-on that lets him replace his bear traps with land mines.

As long as survivors lose limbs when stepping on them. Just have them regenerate instantly when they get hooked

  • @RespectTheBoop said:

Nah.. there's literally an easy solution to tunneling.. Get rid of unhook notifications and give hooks Pyramid Head cage mechanics.. the moment you hook a survivor they get teleported to another random open hook. This way the killer doesn't know where the survivor is, preventing hook camping and when they're unhooked they have to search for them again.

This way, the killer can still tunnel if they wish but they're forced to go and look for the hook where the survivor was moved to.

Getting rid of Hooks Sounds like a good idea but what about my charms? If I can't decorate the cages I'll be upset :(.

Last year, my favorite killer Trickster got reworked. While I understand the devs desire to give him an upgrade, the initial version of this rework was overwhelming for a majority of the playerbase, and not really fun to play with as a long time trickster player. The devs response to the unpopularity of the initial rework (a sidegrade at best without obviously overpowered addons involved,) Trickster was then nerfed into the floor when Chucky launched.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/10YFVJTKXPFU/image.png

I had to list these hidden changes on the wiki myself, as they were not documented anywhere else.

A couple minor quality of life changes and a buff to movement speed and main event, coming at the cost of incredibly nerfed lethality, extremely easy to remove lacerations, a wide list of previously useful addons scrapped and replaced with a singular addon thats worth using, and a killer that had no gameplay or aesthetic appeal anymore. I put myself through the long, expensive P100 grind for this killer and it genuinely felt like my time and points were wasted.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/HQRQ775V6F2B/image.png

And now, same thing is happening to skull merchant. She's getting changes with the explicit purpose of making her easier to play against. Except this time: it's even worse. She's not getting any sort of compensation buff at all, she's simply becoming a weaker and worse designed killer. This won't make her any more fun to play against, it'll just make her so terrible nobody will want to play her until her later rework.

REMINDER: This killer's gameplay used to boil down to pressing M2 near a generator and getting value, yet she went untouched for months until we got the current version. Where was this energy back then?

If this trend of nerfing killers into irrelevance just because people don't like them, then start offering BP and auric cell refunds. I have little to no interest in the current version of trickster, and while i dont even really like skull merchant that much, i imagine her playerbase will feel the same. This is just genuinely alienating your players.

For reference, people are using the trickster updated as a replacement term for a character being nerfed into irrelevance or reworked so heavily they're unrecognizable ("Getting Trickstered.") People are already saying skull merchant is getting trickstered. And at this point if my killer's only appeal is as a punchline, then I'd honestly just prefer a refund of all the bloodpoints i spent on him, all the cells i spent on skins, or heck even the physical money i spent on these chapters. I just don't enjoy this type of game design.

When Skull Merchant's rework hits PTB, I will make an honest feedback post. But for now, this is just a rant. I hope you can all understand where I'm coming from with this, even if you don't like trickster or skull merchant.

Hate to say this but they don't owe you a refund. If you knowingly and willingly buy a dlc you are basically signing an agreement that you can play character In exchange for money. But They are all subject to changes at the whim of the game developer. Pretty sure it's stated in the Eula/ToS of the game..

  • I don't mind the doctor since they made it so he didn't make you insane by simply existing. The passive madness gain was irritating

I think he was immune to pallet stuns unless he was stunned by a sleeping survivor.

    He wasn't.

Freddy also had constant aura reading on any sleeping survivors so mind games rarely worked on him. Plus I'm pretty sure his swinging chains add on when paired with thanatophobia was pretty broken. If they want to give him his old power then they need to remove the passive sleep timer and remove or readjust his slowdown Add-ons so he isn't too oppressive. No one wants a repeat of Forever Freddy.

By how fast gens get done it would nerf him into oblivion if he couldnt hit without them being in the dream world.

Not to mention how you couldn't even flashlight save because to awake Survivors Freddy was invisible while carrying someone. While it was funny watching teammates be carried away by nothing trying to save them was such a chore. I think he was immune to pallet stuns unless he was stunned by a sleeping survivor.

  • And every time someone brings an offering for midwitch I really want to claw my eyes out because the map update only made it worse imo.

  • @Jim_Tonic said:

Right now when you level certain survivors just for their perks, you get a bunch of usefull items and add ons you cant use on your Main(s). It would be kinda convienient for new and veteran players alike if you could use the inventory like an actual storage and send between characters only of your own account, so not between players.

Vice versa you could send useless add ons or Items to a random survivor that you dont play. While killers have their specific add ons, the offerings would work like that on both sides.

A selling option for a view BP or XP, or hell, even a discard option would also be appreciated i think.

Its just alot of Bloat in the inventory and while on Killer it might not be as solve-able i can totally see such a storage system where i can for example send some unneeded Offerings and Items from Yoichi to Claudette because i almost never play claudette, only ever when i have a challenge. While i do tend to play yoichi far more often.
Im also sure my idea is not new, but i think its worth discussing.

I'm never using the stack of Gideon meat plant offerings I have. Unless your playing killer then using that offering should be considered throwing.

Of all perks you see get talked about, Pharmacy is probably the perk you never heard about or cared about.

Pharmacy USE to provide a constant increase to chest searching speed, and the first chest opened would give you an Emergency Medkit.

In Patch 6.1.0, Pharmacy was changed to only activate while injured, but you can get multiple Emergency Medkits in a single match. The ability to search chests faster was changed to only apply while injured (and getting only Emergency Medkits while injured), making this perk's niche (searching chests faster) be pointless for chest builds.

Furthermore, as time went on, the Emergency Medkit has gotten worse. In Patch 6.7.0, Medkits universally had their self-healing nerfed. Even if you managed to search a chest to get the Emergency Medkit, the heal (including the chest search time) would take forever compared to other ways of healing.

And generally the landscape of the game and the meta has pushed the game into a direction where Pharmacy is useless. There are better perks now. And the game has pushed itself into a direction where you rarely have time to do side objectives, leading to Pharmacy often just being detrimental to your matches since getting value takes too much time away from Generators.

On top of all of this, with Patch 8.2.0 we got Dracula, which has perks that actively discourage searching chests. While we already had Franklin's Demise or Sloppy Butcher to make Pharmacy worse, Dracula's perks directly make chest searching take more time and punish the Survivor for engaging with chests.

This perk USE to be usable, it had a niche that made it fun to run. Now it is useless, and nobody cares or talks about it and it actually makes me sad since this use to be one of my favorite perks.

I forgot Pharmacy existed till you just mentioned it lol

...seriously out of all the killer's who need a rework I think Freddy is it. I will say this I miss old Freddy sure it was annoying to put every survivor to sleep to hit them but at least half his kit wasn't basically removed because a generator was complete the other thing he had built in aura reading. Overall BHVR please for the love of anything rework Freddy because I seriously think he needs some major TLC.

I don't miss old Freddy at all. You had to wait for people to fall asleep after you used your power to even hit them. Plus unhooks were super easy to do because Freddy couldn't down you again until you fell asleep again.

  • @Unequalmitten86 said:

I see a lot of arguments about slugging is justified, camping, tunneling etc. Then I see counter arguments about flashlight saves, pallet saves, and certain perks that survivors use. Now while slugging is a valid playstyle and sometimes well warranted, it doesn't need to be used every game, and that's what's happening. Before a killer even feels out who they are playing against they go for a slug or tunnel. Killers use the excuse basekit unbreakable is not valid that survivors should carry it, but why don't killers bring lightborn if your problem is flashlights, etc. Iron grasp. Now I know survivors use crappy tactics to not get the hook and they do deserve a slug, but that's 1 out of 4. I don't think killer mains realize that they need to be outnumbered. That being said there is a shortage of survivors and will continue to be if certain playstyles keep up. I am not saying stop what your doing, I'm saying stop using slugging as a crutch. Not only that there are literally so many aura perks you can probably see what they are doing while playing the game.

PS those who slug when there are only 2, survivors aren't falling for it anymore.

Maybe it's because people are just fed up with all of it 🤷. Having the same boring experience each match gets old really quickly. Being left to bleed out for 4 minutes is possibly the most boring thing I've ever experienced in a game. Sadly their isn't a Give up button or a way to bleed out faster so I can try my hand at a different match.

  • I question everyday why they thought to buff his bat forms speed and teleport. Plus they even decreased his cool down for transforming for no reason..

I see a lot of people discussing which killers they hate seeing, so what about the ones you do like? Which are you excited to see in your game?

    Pinhead and Dredge.

The issue with buffing a hex's power but not its longevity is that you turn it into a win more perk. Against good players who've memorized all the hex spawns, Ruin won't survive long enough to get that power boost when the killer actually needs it, but against babies, now they're dealing with permanent 200% automatic regression they won't get rid of on top of them already not being good at the game. And then there's the age-old map issue where you have Midwich/Hawkins/Swamp on one side and Ormond/Eyrie/Autohaven on the other, and totems might require survivors to do full loops around the map with a magnifying glass or might just be sitting next to a gen with a spotlight on it.

Ruin's not in a bad spot, honestly, having seen it both buffed and nerfed compared to where it is now. But if it needs buffs… like most hexes, it needs buffs to consistency rather than power.

Couldn't of said it better tbh. Imagine if Devour Hope's effects couldn't be disabled. It would be horrendously op and survivors would just hide all game and that would be boring for both sides to deal with.

  • @DNet89 said:

An idea I had for a buff would be for each hook on a different survivor Ruin gains additional 25% in regression. So it starts at 100% then goes to 125, 150, 175, and finally 200%

Ruin is fine the way it is. You can't buff a perk like ruin without giving it downsides.

Knockout and third seal are simply designed to stomp soloQ players. NOED feels cheap. Rancor is just bad design, uncleansable exposed at the point of the game where taking bodyblocks for teammates is the most prevalent in SoloQ.

NOED is cheap. It basically rewards a killer with free 1 hit downs for being unable to do their objective. With rancor at least the one affected knows as soon as it activates tbh

Moris appearing in every match regardless of offering is great. I love the idea. We need to see more moris.

However, I can't support removing moris from the match when survivors can actually interact with them. I do not like the idea of making moris only possible once everyone is dead. People goofing off remains my favorite part of this game and moris were always an avenue for this. Whether that's people diving in for Ghostface selfies, forming a ritual ring around Pinhead sending someone to Brazil, slapping Myers' ass, stealing Trickster's autograph card, or someone playing me a song on the world's tiniest Bardic Inspiration while I'm chopped into pieces, nothing makes mori-ing or getting moried more fun for me than another player running in to photobomb the brief invulnerability period the cinematic provides them, and I don't want to lose that.

I don't know why we can't have the finisher mori and just leave ebony/ivory mori offerings alone.

Photo bombing mori's is practically mandatory. Taking that away makes the game boring imo.

Silent Hill and Resident Evil both went super hard in that regard.
