I mean I tried DBD killer on console and was back to PC within a few days. It’s terrible, and I have no plans on getting the next gen console anyways.

If I was on console though, I’d probably stick to mechanically simple killers. M1 killers like Myers, Ghostface, Legion, etc. maybe venturing into AOE killers like Plauge or Clown.

I main huntress and oni so yeah. But what was the noticeable difference in your console adventures

Throw in video card this, sound card that, filter this over here, resolution that by that, mortgage payment headset....

Like yeah I'm a survivor main and I'm not a good killer all the time and I got my moments but when I dont swing through people and get cucked by auto aim i ALMOST never get spun. Oh yeah and PC survivors can see red stain easier too

Have you ever played killer on console? Please please please borrow a friend's PS4 or whatever and try it out.

especially at 100 sensitivity against people with mouse's or people who literally practice jukes to the Point they can stop midspin and spin elsewhere and ######### like that

If cross platform play is possible, is adding console players to the groupchat a possibility?

I would love to be able to talk to the other players after game.

Some console players are some of the most inconsiderate players I've come across, the type to sit in a locker the whole game and then grab the hatch. They need to be talked to after the game and informed they are not team players.

All the toxic asshats are PC from my experience. All the swf seem to be crossplay players. So who knows man

the main reason people want DS nerfed is because of the combo with Unbreakable, putting the 2 together gives you a full minute of immunity from everything including Slugging

But whenever I try to do it as survivor I always feel like in the movies where a big guy is stopping you with 1 hand πŸ˜‚

I just bumb the killer and don't go anywhere other than staying right in front of him

Yeah as a person who ran DH ALOT before I can assure you that you cant go THROUGH them. You have a blight effect where you slide past them. If you ever hit straight on you get stopped but still invulnerable

Yeah i don't know what the reason is behind it all.

I have a very good connection but sometimes I'm next to a corner and I lunge at a survivor while they go around the corner and the auto aim just turns me facing the wall.

It's not that I turned during the attack, I just always press forwards till I'm positive I can make the turn without getting stuck on the corner.

At least I would love to be able to turn off the auto aim and if that will put me at a disadvantage (if that's the reason why they put it on) than that would be a choice I'm willing to take

Trust me it wouldnt. All these jukes have been hard to hit recently and it because if auto aim. And hell I honestly think bad wifi changes auto aims effectiveness

I'm on the One X (which is superior to the Pro) and I still have awful frames.

Because of low FPS and stuttering/freezing, when Survivors spin, they can effectively disappear since you are being presented with less information per second.

SSo you're telling me that we suffer against this because frames? Idk PC players have it easy with spins and they can be very erratic and it seems to cuck me. Hell today I swung at a girl going to the pallet in one of those unsafe rail way rooms with 1 or 2 staircases with a pallet and I swung at her because she dropped and autism made me track her but stay on the stairs so instead of going around the rail I just went up the stairs while locked on to her and it pissed.me off

I mean there's only so much you can do, the game is designed in a way that killers are at a hefty disadvantage the majority of the time. Even players who basically live on the game or have it as a job can struggle with it. Sometimes (or even more often than not depending) the game just says "no" and unless the survivors are bad then you aren't realistically winning.

In high level play on both sides survivors just kinda win outside of a few edge cases Like Nurse. Its just the way the game is, it doesn't mean you're bad at the game, its rigged in the survivors favor. The killer side for the most part relies on survivor mistakes, if they don't make enough mistakes you just don't win sometimes.

Thanks, but recently it seems like the game has been harder. More difficult teams and more swf. Plus I've been whiffing a lot and before crossplay I NEVER had issues hitting 360 or auto aim. PC players can spin really fast which can ruin auto aim but just un general the auto aim seems to be acting up

I'm also not shoddy at killer and I couldn't fathom playing oni on controller so this must be extra frustrating.

Yeah wish they put in a option to turn auto aim on or off.

I've been screwed over by that many times too unfortunately

I never deal with that when I have to use bad wifi. So it makes me realize that I get hits that shouldnt hit which is always bad but if I don't deal with auto aim I dont feel as bad because auto aim just destroys console. I whiffed 4 time in a freaking row trying to hit a survivor ON FRONT OF ME.i followed and everything. So yeah tonight wasn't good

  • @MrPenguin said:

Oni is pretty tough on controller with the sudden sensitivity change. Its very disorientating combined with his camera getting shoved into the ground. So controller Oni is much more difficult to control and you could say he's easier to juke because of this, not to mention fps issues and general console killer disadvantage.

Other than that yeah killer kinda sucks in general as well. You're better off just playing survivor or not playing the game in my opinion. Let the survivor que times rise and your blood pressure go down.

See if did that to me it's like admitting I'm bad. But k know I'm not bad and that I usually always wreck unless I cant compete with gens or if I get cucked like this. And I swear having to deal with bad game design and console being abysmal it makes me feel like I'm trash so I feel like I have to get multiple 4k just to make up for it

With the lower fps, poor optimization, frame drops, and suboptimal controls, yeah, it's true.

I'm on PS4 Pro and every time Bloodlust tiers up I lose enough frames that any attempted hit misses and sometimes the survivor outright disappears.

I mean I have bad wifi at my house and I'm here at a place with good wifi. What I have sadly figured out is good wifi doesnt give you hits that you should get because auto aim and all that works too well. Or so j assume because I NEVER get auto aim as bad as I did today. But yeah whenever I'm at home and use oni my frames drop and I miss a demon strike and so I just die inside

We could look at another example that illustrates the complete opposite to get where I'm going.

So in average matches and in most match outcomes Nurse loses. We know this by objective data provided by the devs. So, by this data do we conclude that Nurse is bad? Of course not.

How do we see Nurses true objective stance? We look at good vs good players

So just in the same essence that Nurse losing most matches doesn't mean she's bad, Spirit winning many matches doesn't imply she's easy. This is because we have to factor in that it's not just how easy it is for you to play them, but also how easy it is for survivors to play against them. IE the level of difficulty there is in Spirits counter play is what can make her seem like she's easier to play.

This is also if we ignore the data from the devs showing that technically Spirit doesn't win that much.

I think more matches are won on Spirit by what the survivors are doing incorrectly rather than what the Spirits done correctly in other words.

Hmm I mean it makes sense but I also think those comparisons arent the best. Nurse loses because she is hard to get good at and spirit is easy because on average people arent that good. But because of the lack of good players playing together all the time we cant say for sure. But you. can also quantify it as shr is hard to win against good swf. Her ability is only easy for people who have experience. So I dont know I feel like it could be either or

  • @Blueberry said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1882591#Comment_1882591

I'm referencing good vs good matches and skill comparatively to others killers, not isolated skill as that's more subjective.

That is to say a statement that Spirit has an easier time on average against average players would be a statement I'd more agree with. That's because this statement focuses more on average matches and on match outcomes than it does her actual status of skill requirement in a more objective stance.

I do think these are saying two very different things in other words.

I'm not gonna lie I didnt full get the entirety of what you said but I get the gist. And yeah average players suck but even good players lose. Idk I think this is a hard topic if you try and go into detail about skills. Because even if you have an amazing 3 person swf who does tournaments but 1 solo you can still win once you capitalize. Idk tho but what I can say is she is one of the easiest killers in a regular setting. Also I messaged you on discord

Would be nice to play against you. The last couple of spirits i played against never managed a 4k, the highst was one with a 3k, and that one was heavy into camping and tunneling. Still didnt get me. Most of the other spirits just got 1k, while the rest escaped. but to be fair, i only encounterd 5 spirits in my last 60 games, and thats what i kept stats of. And yes, 4 out of 5 spirits did run stidor, yet i was able to juke them even injured multiple times.

Most people just dont know how to play vs spirit, other than trying to run in circles like every other killer.

Yeah the last spirits I've been up against sucked too

Slippery slope my friend. One can tunnel every Survivor and still get 12 hooks. :) There is no difference between the cause and effect of what you are talking about and what I point out about the Mori method to achieve the same end. The intent is to reduce the opposing team to a 3v1 so their odds of being able to get enough Generators done in time is significantly reduced. The intent is the same. The application is the same (one is merely more efficient). One is no less pathetic than the other. It is a tactic, no more and no less. One way is just easier to hide what you are doing, while the other is more honest (along with efficient).

Well I dont agree with the 3 survivors strat. My plan was only when it was necessary to use that advantage.

"TUNNELING IS ALWAYS THE RIGHT CHOICE" What's there to understand?

I guess my opening statement about what I was actually saying being contradictory went over your head. Good job want some textbooks? No it's always right to tunnel in the beginning to get the scenario i stated and at end game. Anything else is up to the player. Just because my title didnt reveal everything does not mean it speaks everything.

  • @Moundshroud said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/220326/cant-believe-im-saying-this-but-tunneling-is-always-the-right-choice

It depends on what you are trying to do. Tunneling out a 4v1 into a 3v1 as rapidly as possible to make sure the Survivors are playing from behind the Eight Ball is a valid strategy simply to end up with a 3K+ but it won't necessarily maximize your score in Emblems or BP. Don't get me wrong. I think camping, tunneling, slugging, and the Mori are all valid tactics. I just think they are special use, depending on the match. I'm not sure it is as straightforward, black and white as you are painting it. If you really are committed to this route of play, you should make use of the Mori. I'm sure you (like most of us) have a ton of these overpriced paperweights left. If you truly believe your logic, you should:

    1. Take a Mori (Green or Red will do).
    2. Hook 1st Survivor.
    3. Camp lightly, i.e. just enough to let people come in and you chase them off, playing keep away. This has the added benefit of taking at least 1+ more Survivors off Generators. If you lightly camp with a series of short patrols, someone will attempt to make the rescue. You might even get more than one as they see you chasing the first would-be rescuer away.
    4. Allow the rescue once the hooked has gone to 2nd Stage.
    5. Tunnel and Mori them. You now get the benefit of no DS as well.

Do you see my point? This method is far more efficient and will maintain some Generator pressure at the same time. Once you have it at a 3v1, depending on if (and how many) Generators came up, you can play rather casually. Before anyone gets all in an uproar, I'm not advocating this type of play. I'm pretty neutral, and don't care how people choose their tactics as long as they are legal. There is no reason to over-complicate the subject; if you are simply talking about reducing the game from a 4v1 to a 3v1 while maintaining maximum pressure, this is the more efficient route as you tie up more Survivors, and only have to tunnel off the first hook once.

Yeah no I am not that pathetic. I dont even play this way. I go 12 hooks unless forced not to or I get mad. I've lost games because I dont like slugging or tunneling all the time. I picked this map because it's small and has good loops. I had certain scenarios that matched up, some quick downs on easier loops a long chase for a survivor using the harder loops and the going back to hook is because the way I pictured the hooks in my head were closer together. The hotspot for hooks is usually around killer shack whenever I play. So to me this scenario was assuming people were downed in the stronger part of the map.

  • @HellDescent said:

Tunneling is not always the right choice. A lot of times it ill cost you your games

As I said its only a small bit of what you can do and the over arching thing was to tunnel 2 people and either actually hook them or leave them once you either get rid of ds or find our if they dont have it. This set of events means that the pressure you put. Will be enough to prevent a game break and that depends on skills of all players. This was just idk to convey an example of something you could replicate to win against ds. I dont know if i explained that well enough to you so if you need explanation do say so

double cooldown addons mean 5 second uptime 10 second cooldown 2 second charge up time and 7.0 m/s movement speed

that means before the spirit starts using her power she has to be within 7 meters of you or she doesn't have enough speed to land a hit if you just hold w

see even with that I know enough to formulate a plan of attack which is abuse her other abysmal attributes that aren't being buffed by addons

and also it takes her 15 seconds per try if she uses her full power thats still 15 seconds time for your team hit or not hit

Still it's annoying to go against it. Not that it's like super strong for me I just hate the guessing I dont like having to worry about whether my bets play off at every tile ya know?

I don't have the blood points to get perks that would help me with this and getting blood points in the first place is hard lol.

yes but saying there's no counterplay just because a killer is strong in chase is just removing all discussion of other counterplay just because you can't run around an object 4 times

Here's some stuff to help against every killer and especially against killers who are good in chase and not much else

    Split up

Use stealth when close to death to keep it a 4 man as long as possible and early on when they start patroling so they waste time if they come over to you first but don't use it when teamates are close to death so you take hook stages and chases for them

Know what the killer is capable of and play to their weaknesses clown can't do anything about pallets dropped early, and you get a free second chance against nurse, and spirit has long power cooldowns depending on how long she has been phasing to abuse the cooldown to the fullest extent, even with no addons base max cooldown is 15 seconds and everyone competent should be able to hold a chase against a 110% speed killer with no power

Don't instantly save a survivor of hook if your gen is at 50% or more unless there is more than one survivor on hook

but saying there's no counterplay in chase very specifically removes all counterplay outside of chase so 4/5 of these are no longer possible because people refuse to even fathom the idea of them

I just hate when people reply like that same as with most. Simply because it doesn't help. People want help with the 1v1 not the 1v4 or 4v1. And they hate having to guess instead of having a set counter that can help

  • @DoritoHead said:

Instead of talking about how much I hate one specific killer, how about I make a tier list of killers and give a quick summary of each one?

Funnily enough this MY OPINION. if you disagree, that's really cool but you don't have to shut me down and call me a rank 21 because of that, because that's not nice.

(S tier is most hated, so F tier is good.)

Also, if you play more hated killers, this is purely based on their kit. Just because you play killers I hate playing against doesn't mean I hate you too. So please don't take anything here personally.

With that out of the way, here's my list.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/P924UAW0EEL0/my-image-286-29.png

    SS Tier

I get facecamped by every Hillbilly I run into. He's mostly here because of that, but he's probably D or C tier in terms of pure kit.

Hag is hag. She's fun to play against in moderation, but once you run into at least 2 of good Hags in one day you start to question why you play Dead By Daylight.

    S tier

I dislike all of these for the reasons everybody else dislikes them. Everyone knows why Freddy, Spirit, Slinger, and Phead are hated. I think Phead and Slinger are the least annoying of this bunch, but that's only because I typically do well against them.

    A Tier

I only find Doc annoying because EVERY TIME I get shocked by a static blast from halfway across the map Doc is behind me .0005 seconds later. Does Doc have a teleportation ability or something?

Legion is just boring, not much else to it.

I only don't like Ghostface because I am very blind

    B tier

When It's a bad Nurse, I barely notice that there is in fact a killer in the trial. When It's a good Nurse, I respect them too much to be mad.

I'm honestly more mad at the game than Plague because every time I bring a medkit the game will do anything and everything to ensure I get put into a match with one.

Blight is in B because his name starts with the same letter that the tier is. I literally don't play against enough Blights to rank him properly.

    C tier

Bubba is mostly fine in my opinion, but the only reason he's in C tier is just that he is super good at camping, which makes me mad because sure, being facecamped is boring, but it's also a very unhealthy playstyle to default to and I'm worried about newer players that decide to main him.

The only bad thing about Trapper is when you get caught in the most discreet, random corner of the map.

Oni's actually very fun to play against except for the fact that you are pretty much guaranteed to be slugged. That's not a reason to hate him, after all he pretty much has to slug or blood fury goes bye bye. So obviously I see why Onis slug and I don't get mad about it when it happens. Doesn't change the fact that worming around isn't exactly a blast.

When I'm just playing for fun, Michael is great! But when I'm trying to keep my rank or get to a higher one, a Michael match in solo queue can be kind of a bum. SWFs destroy him, but when I'm sweating in solo he's not a face I want to see.

The second I let my guard down a Hatchet descends from the heavens and finds itself nicely placed in the back of my head. Probably confirmation bias, but it feels like it happens every game and that's why Huntress is here.

Victor is usually easy to stomp, but when you get a really good Twins player it's an absolute nightmare.

    D tier

Wraith is really only where he is because of two things: the first being that he doesn't have any annoying attributes (other than facecamping) but if you have an SWF he causes no problems. The second is how unpredictable he is. You might argue that by this logic I'd think Spirit is good as well, but unlike Wraith, Spirit is a chase killer. That's a whole different ballpark.

I like Clown because similar to Doctor, he's trapped in the realm of a malevolent soul eating dimension, but still finds his work absolutely hilarious. Anyway, he's cool because I can get away with doing gens and hitting skill checks, the one thing I'm good at in this game.

Piggy is fun because having a trap on makes the game more exciting. Survivor is kinda boring and Pig helps it not be that way, one trap at a time.

    F tier

The best of the best is Demo. Not only because of his character, but also because when he starts to shred things get a lot more interesting. Pulling off a dodge on the shred is really satisfying and rewarding, but Demo landing the shred will be incredibly rewarding for them. It's the classic western standoff. I also like how his position on the map is unpredictable because of the portals. It keeps you on your toes. He's a mix of the short term excitement that Piggy provides, and the unpredictable nature of Wraith, although the latter is very limited. It's still there and that's the important thing.

Ummm ok I CANNOT believe this tier list. But I dont judge you man. I just love billy and hag isn't too too bad but she is annoying when she has decent traps or add ons.

I am playing this game for 3 years and i have over 2500 hours in this game.

Yet again if you have to ask these questions and you like to tunnel with no ds then I assume you're not skilled. Experience is something you have, but that playstyle is something for low rank killers.
