Pebble? Yes please.
Except when I throw them as the killer sees me, RIP -
@NMCKE Actually that would be pretty good but again that might be activation by choice and there's little downside as you said, I think as Clogwench stated before it's already in a pretty solid spot, might not be great to mess it up occasionally but that's the cost of using a perk that lets you track the killer the entire match...Great risk great reward I guess
-
This is honestly why I don't run this perk, I'll accidentally look in the wrong direction for 2s and be like sorry team, just sharing loving glances with the killer. Do you think it would be viable as a cooldown/token based perk? Activation by choice may be too overpowered though now that I consider how this perk can be used though... Bookmarking out of interest

*breathes in slow* BOI
It's way too early we don't even know how this power will work in game (addons etc). Plus, I doubt he'd remain too powerful given the recent... trends. I can also stalk just fine with towering Mikey, it's not true to his character to crouch and peek like it would be to ghostface. Plus if you play pig crouch can be a bit of a detriment and cause you to miss things you should have seen (i.e. corn/grass vision)
I'm honestly looking forward to alternating between both when it comes out if all goes well. I think they'll be different enough to keep me interested.
-
To be fair what about bad RNG? Some maps have like 4-5, some have 10 in close proximity it's inconsistent. I'd be fine with 1-2 but as above don't be surprised for the opposite rally, much like the hook offerings (which are pretty much useless now for both sides)
-
Favourites, probably Coldwind Farm, Springwood and MacMillan
Least favourite: Haddonfield, Yamaoka (I get way too many trappers on this map) and ORMOND (those auras are literal dirt)

That's what you think. Mushwin got a big head start, but I seem to have a few stalkers who're downvoting every comment I make, no matter what it is. I've already surpassed Mushwin. Paradoxically, I also have as many upvotes as I do comments, give or take a few, so make of that what you will.
@Orion I'm laughing bc you literally do have someone creeping you, I checked back within a minute and you have a downvote, you're pretty okay in my book Orion

Why is he getting all those downvotes?
Was honestly wondering the same thing, his animations are nice? I guess the title, maybe, who knows, the joy of ambiguous down voting
-
Hard to think of a best match though, I do remember a particularly good moment of timing of trap setting at a gate and landed the teleport hit perfectly and downed a survivor who had teabagged me constantly within fingers reach of the escape and hooked them (as everyone else was dead or escaped too). Sweet sweet justice.

I get compliments as hag a lot based on the fact that I often play Jumpscare hag. I use a lot of perks that mess with terror radius and put traps in unusual spots. I even get a lot of Rusty Shackle grabs as her which scares people good
@ClogWenchYes I love playing jumpscare hag build too I wish I played against it more, rusty shackles are so rare for me though, I find I burn protection offerings just to keep those. 100% best addon (dried cicada is a close favourite though)
-
We Michaels have no need for crouching, we assert our confidence and dominance in the stalk this way.
-
I have a teammate that usually plays as Jane and I can confirm I have on a number of occasions been booty bopped out of the way. I've even seen her booty bop killers.
-
I feel like even though as Shad03 stated above I have limits I still try to not tunnel and never camp hooks. It's not that fun for me, I might nod at them when they get hooked/sacrificed if they've been a MoM/DS/DH/exploit/flashlight kind of survivor but other than that... Occasionally will bring a mori for moments of disrespect.
Although someone mentioned sandbagging above and I literally had a drive by Myers situation in a match recently, chased a wounded Dwight and Min genius team, Min went straight for a hooked person, Dwight tried to run past the hook to get my attention on the hook, I hit the min unhooking (as she had just freed the other person) while maintaining direct eye contact with dwight (he visibly panicked too it was great) and continued my chase with dwight completely ignoring my drive by hit there. I can't stand people who sell out teammates to save their own skin/get bp.
Only time I ever play dirty is if I know there's a useless "there's only 2 survs left so I'll not do gens" hatch camper too...Might stem from playing survivor too much and dealing with that.
-
Yeah, honestly tried this last night and it's less feral frenzy and more leisurely jog in slow motion. I used to enjoy how different the playstyle felt, fast paced and focused on a divide and conquer style of play (i.e. deep wound spreading and then follow up with attacks later bc people never healed despite thanat) I was all for the exploits being removed and I don't care about the timer etc it was never a downing power for me in the first place but I just don't get why they had to make so many changes at once. I'd rather the 110% base speed if it meant I get faster frenzy even without the increased duration and with the missed hits cooldown (but the stun now is horrendous and the cooldown is way too long) and orion nailed it 100%
@Orion said:
Things that made the Legion fun:
- Running really fast in Feral Frenzy
- Vaulting stuff really fast in Feral Frenzy
- Reduced cooldown on missed hits while in Feral Frenzy
- Cold Dirt (because stuns aren't fun)
Things that were changed in the Legion:
- Reduced movement speed while in Feral Frenzy
- Reduced vaulting speed while in Feral Frenzy
- You get one missed hit per Feral Frenzy
- Increased the stun when you end Feral Frenzy and nerfed the add-ons that reduce said stun
And you wonder why these changes were not well received?
Thank you @Orion for bringing that spicy defence, logic and reason to this thread 💖

Doctor and Spirit, you just know they're going to camp or play dirty. Facecamping Mikeys also annoy me but that's not as common (haven't seen many Mikeys in general lately) Slugging billys regardless of gen completion number. Not general things I dislike about killer designs (I'm fine with all of those), just trends I notice with how they're played and therefore tend to dislike facing those killers. In terms of general overall dread though, spirits. Not a fan.
-
On side of this have you noticed that if you play with no perks you get survivors with no perks as a killer and vice versa? (Also w/ higher level perks and higher level perk survivors) I feel like it might be a thing, I notice it when I play killers that have one perk while learning/levelling them I generally get players with lower tier/less perks.
-
I got really into hollow knight when I had that month long break from dbd and played that a lot. I got to a fun point with that though, those lovely difficulty spikes otherwise it's a very chill game, I actually find it relaxing even if it can get a bit repetitive if you die in certain areas. Dbd is back on the cards though, for now.
-
I'd say 8-9 personally is where I have to start trying but basically as soon as you reach the edge of green ranks it's noticeable. As above might be due to resets, most top tier survivors may sit around there post reset.
-
I'm pretty sure it's a thing, if a fellow teammate is using DS you may be made an obsession even if the killer and yourself have no obsession perks. I was an obsession myself recently for the same reason.
-
I'm actually really excited about Ghostface, I wanted this for a while and while the power doesn't seem exactly like the community was expecting with phone calls etc but I'm still looking forward to peeking over/around things at survivors and seeing the killer peek for laughs and scares. Can't wait for that mechanic, plus people say Myers 2.0 but his power negates your TR entirely and I'm happy to have another power build/stealth killer and can't wait to see the addons and if they change the playstyle etc. Hoping for a good new map too.
In terms of the patch, frames and play are smooth on console and this is really good! I'm so happy with it. Everything else is a wait and see how this plays out for me I guess. Too early to call it.
-
Yes, I thought I was crazy for thinking everything looked smooth, it wasn't fuzzy and played so nice. Glad to see some console improvements.
-
This was worth the read just for the laughs, amazing
-
Honestly getting an affinity for Ash now, his cries are funny, he has amazing luck for me in the bloodweb generation (3bps out of nowhere, cakes as well) getting in a room only to feel everyone stare when Ash unleashes his voice lines plus I seem to be doing really well as him despite not running toxic builds etc (don't run MoM/DH/DS etc)
Killer... Do I even have to say?
-
Haven't tried the patch yet being console (and working/no PTB) but no-one thought all of these changes should go through, truly a sad day, I reserved some hope for them pulling back on the list of nerfs for the live version even though only 2 things needed fixing (and we know what they were). I'll remember the good times, the frenzy chaining 4 survivors with thanatophobia, flying across an entire map in 5s, the 110% mindgames, the M&A surprises, the funny times where survivors forgot what mending was bc they usually DC, the yeeting pallets. *uses mask to hide my tears*

I think scream is bonkers overrated and he looks like he'll be a strictly better michael (Michael fan boy) so I'm a bit salty tbh
Haha, I look at this more like unsure of legion changes, hello new jumpscare main (totally going myers/ghostface main 90% when it comes out if the power is smooth, I love playing the stealth killers)
In response to OP though, I've purchased all of the licensed DLC so far and honestly afraid for the freddy changes as I play him well now, bubba still needs buffs seriously but it will probably be a century before we see that. Pig is a little underwhelming after a while (fun in small amounts) personally, and mikey is a main for me so... I'd watch some people test play it first on PTB etc. I'm a little cautious to just jump on the bandwagon just bc it's a new killer anymore I mean after plague and legion and killer changes out of nowhere just because they "aren't fun to play against"... looking at all of that, licensed may be a little different but still concerned. Definitely watch before buy.
-
My brain says deviousness for power but I'd say I generally put up a brutality offering (bonus if you put up a mirror with this as I'm pretty sure they stack even if it's just a vanity mirror), sacrifice is generic based on how well you can hook/catch. I'd say brutality (+bonus mirror) personally but pretty sure his power is linked to deviousness (tiering/stalking). Try either of those 2 and see what works for you.
-
@GhostrickSpecter That could have been the case but I don't know, she had iron grasp, apple addon and was absolutely dead set on getting me down there despite other closer hooks such to the point I was able to grasp escape at base wiggle with iron grasp debuff on the basement stairs the first time and nearly the 2nd time (too bad her corrupt fountain spawn was terrible/far away, made her lose it plus a teammate had BT so that plan failed)
-
Hmm this would be nice, I loved using this addon but it felt especially OP to me though (most matches I used it in ended fast, ranks 12-6) I felt like I could chain dream world control a little too well, plus reduced skill check etc so I could keep a majority in the dream world then chain when I got a hook etc... I feel like it might just make him more overpowered if used correctly with good builds. Not sure overall, a good suggestion though.
-
I play survivor 70/30, mostly because I have an IRL friend who plays and we like to spend Friday nights chilling and playing a bit. I usually only play killer as break from survivor/to do dailies etc and can only play for a few hours max as killer (longest was one entire weekend), I still can't find the drive to play killer competitively I got to rank 5, got toxicity through the roof and OP perk builds, questioned life then went back to playing survivor. It's much more chill sometimes, don't know how killer mains play 90% of the time as killer. (To be fair playing survivor can be just as annoying lately)
I guess I just don't see the point in playing killer if it's not fun. It's honestly why I avoid toxic survivor perk builds when I play as survivor (Hence not using DS,MoM,DH etc, not using SC is a personal challenge I haven't looked back I love med kits/adapting now) and haven't touched a flashlight in centuries (I've only used fireworks 1-2 times and felt immediately bad but only use them on tunnelers etc)
-
Yeah, as someone who went up against a lot of plagues on the bloodhunt, I tried to avoid cleansing as much as possible and it basically cancels the effect of her puking on gens bc I can still get them if broken/infected. I ran a plague for 3 gens while wounded/broken/infected on haddonfield (don't blame me she chose the map bc I think she wanted the strong basement camp but got messed up by her fountain spawns) and honestly the only scary moments in that match were when one of my teammates cleansed when they were literally infected for 2 seconds... that's probably why so many above stated that "only if teammates are cleansing" bc if you don't you're at risk for their choices esp when a lot of plagues I've seen use corrupt to camp.
-
I'm kinda torn, ps4 so haven't been able to play with it myself. As much as I'm looking forward to closing hatch as killer and ending hatch stand offs etc I'm kinda dreading nurse/billy with super close/same walls exit gates and being forced to open one. Wake up is going to be my new meta perk soon and going to be cleansing totems at the speed of light.
-
@George_Soros I don't know it is kinda funny sometimes, but it's just generally annoying 90% of the time. I couldn't help but laugh at one bc it was a Myers and I was spectating my friend left in the match, the mori spam for 1-2 mins just made myers sound like the equivalent of when people take a pug for any kind of walk, that sawing wood noise, repeatedly bc of his mask breathing noise. I just assume someone hurt him, he was hook hitting etc. People generally only do it in a toxic way, I don't think it needs to exist, at least not more than 1 in a short time (e.g. you saw someone else mid mori animation and gave chase etc)
-
Stake out, I'm loving this recently, RIP ruin.
-
Maybe just boosting the normal bp of some survivor score events would be nice (such as gen progress or removing the evader cap... the amount of matches I have run 3+ gens not by choice and got near nothing in respect to the effort, it's always bothered me how a killer can chase 1 surv constantly and not max chase but surv maxes in 5s esp if you've cleansed totems/got stuns) and like above maybe having more regular BP events, I know it wasn't exactly fun but I somehow pipped like crazy with the added incentive to survive and got 2 killers to lv 50 and a few survivors up 10 levels.
-
Legion, you can go through the maps like a hurricane if you play them well, I love the faster playstyle compared to other killers, really does feel like a frenzy when you hit all 4 just right.
-
All of the above but that struggle is probably the main reason for me if no one is clearly coming, when you see everyone ignoring you and on the opposite side of the map and you're slamming the input hoping to be saved, it kills the wrists/hands after a few matches...I know kindred is a thing but seriously I'd rather they just change it to a hold the button down thing. I've had a few matches where it glitches too.
-
I have and have been running WGLF, UE, Prove thyself and plunderers so, yeah pretty trash build bc it's all I have on him so far but I refuse to use MoM, playing Ash without MoM is some next level mindgame though, most hillbillies REALLY go for that chainsaw down even if they miss me 10x
-
Yeah, my first survivor day was trash. First match I had an infinite myers who rage quit bc he couldn't even secure a kill he was camping, a very long hatch stand off with an ebony mori clown (where I proceeded to escape him and finish 2 gens, break all totems to counter his NOED and get the gates and he didn't move from the hatch once and he wasn't AFK), a lot of angry plagues (some with ebonies) so over all 3 ebonies, 2 ivories, 2 cheese multistab legions and overall some killers who would slug everyone at the start of the match for no particular reason. 2nd and 3rd days weren't too bad though (1-2 mori each day). Did have some teammates insta DC though (funniest being a laurie that got nailed with a hillbilly chainsaw at the start of a match and conceded at life)
As killer I put up BPS in a lot of matches as my Myers was loaded with them, had so many random DCs (one being a min who when I cut down a claudette in the killer shack with ew3 kept teasing me by trying to pop the gen that was nearly done right next to me, I dropped claudette and went for her, got her down, went to even step towards the basement and she DC'd btw I don't camp/tunnel anyone and it was a double BPS match on Yamaoka estate and only 2 mins into the match...) I've also had people DC in the middle of a match for reasons unknown (not in a chase), and others actually refusing to do hook saves or people giving up on hook. Like I really don't care much it's up to them, I had BBQ and BPS for those points but I was just trying to play normally and most couldn't handle a BPS loaded match. Had a pretty funny toxic duo though with MoM, flashlight and DS but since their teammate DC'd they didn't get enough gens and I just played along with their toxicity (eating the DS and triggering the MoM) and ended them.
-
Hmm generally the corn in the cornfields can be enough of a defence if used well with the right perks. Could just be a bad random map generation as this sometimes happens? I generally find that map to be okay. But certain maps are known for frequent dead zones. This was sort of discussed in this recent-ish thread
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/448477#Comment_448477
-
@Nightsong Okay thank you for clarifying, that makes much more sense. Depends on the map, which one did you have a problem with? Otherwise it's sometimes just teammates throwing down pallets too much early match.
-
Death zone? We have a zone for this? Do you mean the hitboxes or something?
-
@ShrekIsHot Wouldn't that be Kakashi then? :,) It's okay, I'm new, not memorable yet haha
I think it's because people seem to think clown has no map pressure, it's sort of true, I used to play him in a way that I would lob bottles at gens in the distance to see if people were there but that's not really pressure, more surveillance. He may be good at stopping looping and feel fast but I don't think I'd like to play him at high ranks personally...
-
I WILL ALWAYS STRUGGLE... unless it's like 2 steps to a hook but that's my bad if it happens. I'm okay with it now at base without iron grasp, purely for those amazing moments you get away, you generally aren't meant to escape the grasp, it's there in the 1/100 chance you do. I don't mind the bp either it's not like it's 50bp or something.
-
@ShrekIsHot I feel like you're missing an "s" in that tag somewhere buddy haha :,)
I'm on Ps4 too though, I see more hags, trappers and legions than huntress... I'm just saying it's interesting we both see different killers commonly. I wish I saw the ones you see a little more...
-
@ShrekIsHot Maybe it's a regional thing (or a rank thing but I'd rather not bring that up as I've seen rank 2-4 LF who don't camp), I feel like I rarely see huntresses anymore. It seems to go in phases, sometimes I see 50 spirits, sometimes 5 nurses, sometimes every 2nd one is LF, billy is the only consistent for me. I haven't seen a freddy in a while...
-
I'm so glad I haven't been home to try this event yet... Good to remember prior to wasting my survivor offerings... I was going to try a perk run to be honest.
-
It's funny reading your post and the survivor equivalent and people going wow why are killers bringing tombstones and moris during the event and you're going I'll do it bc toxic survs, I see a correlation here... But yes this is why I took a break from killer, I was getting rank 14s on reset that were god survivor squads so I was just done. I play killer as a break from survivor but wow...
-
I usually run pharmacy (for med kit w/mostly 2 heals for playing without self care and looting chests), spine chill (know when the killer is coming + increased action speed for those clutch gen finishes), adrenaline (burst of speed and heal for when in a tight spot endgame, or hooked prior to end game helpful against tunneling at this point), prove thyself (faster gens baby, no toolbox needed), lithe (speed boost after vaulting at any time), alert (keep track of the killer), iron will (quieter when injured), occasionally urban evasion (great for hag traps and disappearing mid chase/avoiding LOS). There are so many good perks to choose from, I'm considering expanding to autodidact, stake out and dance with me myself.
As for what I use generally: Pharmacy, lithe, alert and *insert one of the above here*
-
I'd honestly go clown chapter or legion chapter, those were great menu themes, with so many it's sad they only get used once...
-
@Judith @thrawn3054 Darn, too bad they're being horrible, what is it that makes a person go you know what we waited so long for a double bp event I'm going to ruin everyone's day and not even get points for it, apparently I'm needed more than ever as a gentleman mikey haha, I was expecting more bp crazed legions to be honest? I mean they are literally built for farming bp in their pre nerf phase.
