Survivor: Adam. Deliverance and decisive is such an awesome combination. So is empathy and autodidact. Decisive pebble is fun to use.
Killer: leatherface. Franklin's demise is so satisfying and BBQ is arguably the best killer perk in the game.
-
Killer: Grim Pantry. Absolute worst map for killers imo as it can spawn a true infinite even for survivors not using balanced landing.
I dont mind any maps as survivor tbh.
-
My thoughts:
Problem 1:
Solution A is not very viable. People are going to camp regardless of how long it takes. And it is a strategy, it sucks to be camped but it also sucks to be gen rushed. I dont see the difference between solution B and overcharge. It isnt really blocked if survivors can just complete a QTE and unblock it. It doesn't even seem like much of a reward. However, incentivizing the killer to leave is definitely the way to get rid of camping.
Problem 2:
The hatch is there for both the survivor's benefit and the killer's. Solution A- Let's put this into a hypothetical situation. I'm playing killer, there are 3 gens left and I hooked and killed the 3rd survivor. Now the remaining survivor has to wait for an 80 second break that will never come. The game will go on indefinitely and it would suck for both sides. Solution B- has the same flaw. If both hatches get closed the survivor has to wait for an 80 second break between the killer patrolling gens that will never come. The hatch sucks as a killer but no hatch would suck even worse.
If you dont want to spend the money for DLC's then dont get them. They aren't free to make, they cost money. The huntress one is free and any of them can be grinded out except licensed characters. It's like $7.99 (American here) for the licensed chapters anyways. That's very fairly priced. If you cant devote the time to grind them out why would you want them in the first place? You aren't playing the game very much anyways.
-
The worst map is grim pantry. RNG can cause literal infinites (unless you play nurse) even without balanced landing.
-
I proposed a change forever ago that the gen regression rate should increase and the survivors should have to complete a 5-10 second interaction to start working on them again. To prevent 3 gen strats from being op give it 15 seconds for this interaction to be required.
-
I main a mid-tier killer (trapper) so I have an excuse for losing. When a survivor wants to bm it's actually funny they thought beating an underpowered killer took skill. Plus if you demolish the survivors, it feels infinitely better than doing it with a strong killer.
-
1.) Someone called me a good nurse (on console too!l
2.) When I was very new I played trapper and went against some people who were swf except one was rank 18 so it was three rank 1-2's and a rank 18 vs me a rank 19 killer. They plowed through the gens and did the exit gates then instead of teabagging and leaving they stayed and tried to 360 me until they got downed and they all let me kill them. They messaged me and said gg.
-
It's a combination of who I mained when i made this account. King from David and B from Hillbilly. I dont play much hillbilly anymore though.
-
They aren't really denouncing survivors that do it. They are complaining that it's possible to complete the gens in such a short time.
-
2 kills and 2 escapes. As long as the survivors didn't suicide or use a key and the killer didn't camp and/or tunnel.
-
@Nickenzie play hag and place a trap. If you look super close you can actually see a ring that indicates the effective range.
-
(Coming from a trapper main)
Absolutely. Someone mentioned on the forums a concept from I believe overwatch (I know nothing about that game) that the traps should be mostly buried. He definitely needs to start with all his traps. The traps should be changed from the circular ones to the ones similar to frost in rainbow six siege.
Too many traps can be avoided by simply hugging the wall as survivor and the killer can not avoid them. Another thing is instead of flat RNG the survivor needs to attempt a minimum of 2 escapes. He also needs more traps. 10 is a good amount.
-
@The_Crusader I didnt know they buffed charging speed.
-
No. I don't want solutions/answers I want to be mad.
-
You can already bait deadhard out by waiting to swing though. It doesnt seem very useful, maybe if there was zero cooldown it could be used to bait 360s which are in fact a problem on console.
-
If you look at both lists of all survivor nerfs and all killer nerfs, killer nerfs FAR outnumber survivor nerfs.
-
I actually started using DS with deliverance. Throw on dead hard + adrenaline and good luck catching me end game.
-
Scratchmarks are concealed in tall grass unless you look straight down and I think regular grass hides them a bit.
-
The killer also has no way of knowing if you have it or not. I love the new iteration as both survivor and killer. It pairs insanely well with deliverance. Just had the most fun game of my life as survivor against a plague using the new ds.
-
So far the only way I've pipped is using instasaw billy with an ebony (yea every now and then I want an easier game. I'm a trapper main, I deserve it).
-
Most likely a bug, which means we probably have to wait til the next mid chapter patch.
Obligatory REEEEEEEEE.
-
1. 60 seconds is a long time.
2. The killer has no way of knowing if someone has ds.
3. The skill check is pretty much impossible to miss.
4. Run unbreakable if slugging is a problem.
Ds is not useless now, it's MUCH better for the game. Along with also being a strong anti-tunnel perk.
-
I was watching McLean's stream and he was made aware of this bug. Devs know about it for sure.
-
@Carpemortum Do you mean in a straight line? I definitely would need to see gameplay of you being able to follow survivors. Yes you can follow, but it's not exactly right on them which is what you need.
No, that doesnt even make sense lol. It ties directly into Billy's power because backrevving is a large part of what makes him so good.
It's the truth. It's especially bad at red ranks where survivors really know what they are doing.
-
@Carpemortum sweetie I'm already at 100%. And? They can move faster than the camera even at max sensitivity.
-
@Carpemortum No, it's already at 100%. I cant turn it up further.
-
All this talk of billy not taking skill, try playing high ranks on console. Good survivors will juke your socks off since they can move faster than you can rotate the camera.
-
Imo the only change noed needs is this:
10 seconds after being hooked, if the killer is within 16m and not in a chase, the auras of all dull totems left in the game are revealed to all survivors. If a chase is ended in the 16m radius, the timer is reset to 20 seconds (to carry surv away).
-
I think it was because of the meme.
-
Tunnel the one with a key maybe? Theres no foolproof solution :(
-
The "killers rewarding failure" argument is flawed. Totems are a survivor objective. It punishes survivors for failing that objective.
-
You shouldn't expect a challenge at low ranks. I'm so confused at the post, you're not facing a challenge but you admit to not being a high rank? You kind of answered your own question.
-
I saw it once. When I was very new I played trapper and went against swf abusing ranking. Three red ranks vs a baby trapper. Did not go well, but once exit gates were powered they tried to 360 til they died. Got a gg afterwards.
-
I love winning. Stealth seems to be more effective but I'm not very good, so I plan on looping but try stealth anyways. Chases are fun though, assuming I can get a good one.
-
@The_Crusader the aura is mostly useless. Its stupidly easy to counter and in most situations not even useful. The amount of people that use it for bloodpoints FAR outweighs the amount of people who use it for aura reading
-
@Ihatelife Yes it's stupid. They've nerfed the aura reading for the past like 4 patches, then nerf the bp under the guise of making the aura reading have a bigger range?
-
Crush them
A special hook is created for each survivor. When a survivor is placed on one of these hooks, a random perk is disabled for the remainder of the match. A survivor may only lose one perk and each special hook may only disable a perk once.
-
@Hoodedfengm1n Because them changing the BP bonus would be a much better change than the auras. The aura reading aspect is weak on most killers and the ones it is good on it's still situationally good.
-
@Hoodedfengm1n did you read more than just the title?
-
I think it's a net buff if I'm not mistaken. I dont have access to pub desc. But I believe once 5 are completed it considers it 8 and rewards you accordingly.
-
I don't understand why people havent started using pharmacy tbh. It literally cuts healing time in half at the cost of not being infinite.
-
If youre going for fun, probably clown. Competitive, definitely hag. Clown isnt a very great killer, most of the pallets his bottles are effective at can either be mindgamed or gotten rid of in 1-2 loops.
Best game as hag: Putting all 10 traps around a toxic survivor and watching someone try to unhook and set them all off. It was hilarious.
Best game as clown: I threw a bottle to "counter" ds and ended up getting someone waiting with a flashlight I did not see. For sure would've been blinded.
-
BBQ is actually pretty weak imo. It has so many easy counters. If it didnt have a BP bonus I wouldn't use it.
-
Exactly what everyone has been saying, sensitivity is too low even at 100%. It doesnt matter how accurate your blink is, they can move faster than you can rotate the camera.
-
10/10, I'm a trapper main and I use Ruin, Haunted grounds, BBQ, and then something like sloppy butcher or STBFL. I need ruin to slow down the early game so I can set traps. Haunted grounds is just so ruin can hopefully last a bit longer.
-
Depending on RNG, it can have a true infinite. I had it setup once to where they would break LOS going up the stairs long enough to break the chase. It was not mind-gameable either.
-
Balanced to me is more or less what you said. No unnecessary drawbacks to a power. The power either has to have good map pressure or strong anti-looping. At base it should be ok with add-ons increasing the power to an extent.
-
Will there be any other moris that change? I love that if you mori someone with corrupted purge it changes the color!
-
@HavelmomDaS1 Oh I know what that is I just didn't know it had a name. That's cool and all but it doesnt change the fact survivors can move faster than you can move the camera.
