May i ask what motivates you to play overpowered addons on an already extremly strong killer? If i remember correctly, Blight is your main and you are like devotion 40. Whats the point?
The real question is why don't other killers have add-on that actually enhance their power? Blight & wraith have arguably the best add-on for different play styles.

Former Rin Yamaoka main here,
Everybody was too blind to see and understand that giving a indicator that she was using her power, butchered her kit.
On top of that, with how frequent sounds break and perks that literally nullify all survivor sounds, why even play her?
I still possess a lot of love for Rin Yamaoka, but from a survivor prespesctive she's been added to my list of killer's I don't enjoy playing against because all you need to counter her is "A good headset" (as we used to say back in the day if you wanted to learn her)
Exactly why I quit playing her. It's just so safe for survivors it's easier to just play Nurse. Some games I get blasted and some I destroy, but at least I feel the game is totally in my control.
I dislike killers that have so many safeguards for survivors with their power. Not saying Spirit is like this but she's definitely more safe. I definitely don't want her to be like that robot with emp. His entire power is rendered useless most games.

Tweaks refers to small adjustments to a killer rather than a complete overhaul to their power. The tweaks could be either buffs or nerfs or a mixture of both, but they are still small adjustments.
To be fair... You guys said this about Billy and look at him! He was my only P3 and he's gone since his "tweaks"
That one right there hurt me to the core I'm not even gonna lie.

Iridescent Blight Tag - movement speed 4.4m/s penalty
The billy treatment lol

As long as it is not anywhere close to OG version and disable itself in end-game, its good.
It'll be exactly that because we can't have tough survivor games. MFT got NERFED so DS will be buffed AGAIN to compensate.

Lol so now stbfl needs to be nerfed🤣🤣🤣

To be fair, we've also seen what was done with Legion, Ghostface, Trickster, Plague, Trapper, etc.
There's been more good killer tweaks than there have been bad ones. Why just highlight Billy and Freddy, both kinda old examples at this point?
Yet none of those killers are viable at high MMR... Which is why you only see the same 3 killers. I get it, not everyone can be nurse, but Billy has his entire kit made up of mostly meme add-on. Nobody fears legion, he's just annoying. His power can't be used offensively like it used to. Freddy has so many hand holding counters for survivors nobody fears him.
That's all I'm saying here. I've been around a long time. I know how behavior does things for killer.
-
@Peanits said:
I can confirm that the Killer Tweaks are changes to the killers themselves, not just add-on adjustments.
This is NOT GOOD. We saw what you did to billy, Freddy and so on. I have a feeling you're going to nerf Blight charges and blow up his add-ons. You're also gonna blow up sadako and add a bunch of cool downs.
I'm only going off past changes to killer. I could be wrong. Stbfl nerfed, DS 5 seconds AGAIN, mangled nerf, sloppy nerf and so on. Basically a bunch of killer nerfs or changes that don't really buff killer.
-
The buff was well needed but he's a killer. He won't survive the ptb as is.
-
It wasn't NERFED enough. It didn't grant speed period!
-
@OrangeBear said:
Probably, no recoil and being 4.6m/s is a game changer.
I think it's a trap. He's been buffed, he'll be played a lot, and then he'll be nerfed to Atlantis. I can't trust this. I'm very suspicious of this.
-
MFT should've never been in the game to begin with!
-
@I_CAME said:
No one is going to use this new version. It's just another useless perk taking up space now. I figured they would give it a time limit or something. Maybe something like 30 seconds and it would deactivate. Killer mains got exactly what they wanted. Back to sprint burst and lithe for everyone.
Why should you be REWARDED FOR DOING NOTHING? The perk balance is fair but I'd argue remove the speed increase altogether.

Skull Merchant is still the most hated killer in the game and gets free injuries out of nowhere. They needed to tone it down a little so that is a great change to see. Borgo we will have to see. 18 seems like a lot, but the map was massively empty of pallets so this will bring it up to a similar place as other maps.
She's actually fun to play. She's fine since she can't 3 gen

Just like DH and DS got "touched up soon" lol
-
It's gonna be a huge nerf which is a win for survivors. They'll delete tombstones, the wall hack build, increased lunge and faster vaults.
In return he'll receive more meme perks, the same base evil build function, and brown perks with iridescent colors. Take nurse for example and Billy. Look at the "updates" they got.
Nurse is still nurse tho!

Don't worry. Only 3 more years and then they will do something. Like Alch Ring restoring only 4 rushes instead of all of them and C33 hindering survivors by 2%. Then we'll have to wait another 6 months before they really take care of the issue.
Honestly, I feel like Blight is the DH among killers.
This is just nonsense. DH could literally extend or even win the game on a perfect placement. Blight is just another killer with fast movement. Why do you guys want every killer that it's viable NERFED?

Remove the effect resistance and adding exhaustion doesn't require much work.

You need to crouch to disarm the traps. The reason she got nerfed was a byproduct of the Wraith buff
Wraith got NERFED HARD by the speed up reduction after uncloak what do you mean? He's arguably probably the most addon reliant killer in the game. He guess have some very VERY good add on tho.
-
Billy went from most balanced to garbage tier in 1 update. Keep in mind, on PC, Billy is my ONLY P3. I haven't played him since the nerf. He's just not fun and his addon are very bad.
-
@Peanits said:
You have no obligation to, but I'm gonna be blunt, this is horrible logic to follow. Flip what you've just said to a Survivor's POV and you've just created an endless loop. All it does is perpetuate toxicity. Running into a bad group doesn't absolve you of any wrongdoing when you decide to take it out on the next group. You've just decided to become part of the problem at that point.
Play the way you like so long as you're not breaking any rules, but you can't take the moral high ground and preach against toxicity if you stoop to their level. This goes for Survivors as well.
Some people can recognize that there's a person on the other side of the screen and like to play in a way that's fun for everyone. There's nothing wrong with that. If you're in it to win and you'd rather use strategies that help you win, that's fine too. But going out of your way to make things worse for people is never going to be justifiable.
How can killers play however the feel if you guys are actively removing said methods? If a guy made me mad with his trolling in game and I decided to get him out by face camping... how can I do it now? You've removed it.
-
@Sylhiri said:
If Killer is able to snowball then it would only make sense to allow survivors a counter.
As long as tunneling remains as an option in the game, gens will continue to pop rapidly. This is balance.
It's proven the game becomes easier when someone is out. Why would we not tunnel? 4 survivors is very hard to deal with if you aren't Nurse.
-
@Maperson said:
His basekit is completely fine, just nerf the ring and call it a day.
They LITERALLY want Blight to get the Billy Treatment. He has like no worthy add on outside of speed

How are they going to "rework" her to make her actually viable? If they're gonna just make it to where she's punished harder by survivors controlling her power and limiting everything she's DOA.

I'm not gonna lie this is why I didn't buy Alien or any other killer for many years if it's not shards. I learned my lesson with Freddy.

Man y'all want him to get the Freddy treatment so bad

This is a bad change. If I'm looking to play Wraith casually, no... I'm not gonna waste my time with 4 p100 with tool boxes.

Took a small break when TCM came out, came back to try alien and every match was just a tunneling and camping Alien who’d slug for ages, and legion. Like this game would be so fun if every single player didn’t try hard to the max every single match and be as toxic as possible while doing so. It’s one of the only games I know where playing toxic annoying wins you matches and I don’t get it.
That's not toxicity bro. He doesn't have to chase others.

This isn't quite the case. We balance around all groups of players, not any one specific group. We also don't use different balancing strategies for each role. All perks and adjustments are designed the same way regardless of which side they're for. That said, if something is causing significant issues at a certain level of play for a large group of players, we still need to act on that. To put it simply, you can always choose not to use something if you feel it's too weak, but you can't simply choose not to play against something if it is too strong. It would be far less fair to say, "Yes, this is a problem for you. But other people don't have this problem, so we're going to leave it as is."
There are some exceptions to this, of course. We wouldn't specifically balance around competitive rulesets, for example, and there is some level of expectation that newer players are still learning.
Again, I am not here to say if something is or isn't a problem. My job isn't to agree or disagree with opinions, it's to gather feedback no matter what. Nothing I have said is intended to deny your opinion on it.
But can we really say this is the case in terms of the direction of balance? I remember the dark times. It's not unusual to see the BEST killer players playing in such a way that said killer gets nerfed. Remember, nurse is a prime example. God Nurses a very few far and between, yet... They're the reason she was nerfed. You guys said before you're all about making killers more accessible to new players, but what was done to do that?
Look at how killers have been changed to put their powers in the hands of survivors. Why? Because they said they needed counterplay. Look at how survivor perks were buffed because of babies to only benefit stronger players. DS was King forever, DH, and so on. I'm not a dev so I can't really truly argue your behind the scenes knowledge. All I'm saying is, seeing the direction of the balance, it's bottom up for survivors and then top down for killers.
Thank you for the response.

-
How was Knight nerfed? His addon were already terrible
-
@Peanits said:
Quick disclaimer, I'm not going to argue whether it is or isn't too strong. That's totally up to y'all to decide, I'm just here to collect feedback. That said, I don't think that new players can reasonably be factored into a discussion for or against nerfing Made For This.
First, it's not very common for someone to pick up the game and immediately buy one of the newest DLCs (unless they happened to see the trailers and really be interested). Beyond the fact that they just bought the base game and still have things to try and learn, there's years of DLCs to choose from, and the older ones will tend to go on sale for a deeper discount. The odds of them picking this particular DLC of all the options would be fairly low.
Second, I think you're overestimating a new player's ability to use a 3% speed boost. While there's the odd person that may have watched a bunch of streams of the game before trying it themselves, most newer players don't have anywhere near that level of experience. They won't be looping, running tiles in a way that gives them a fast vault, etc. More often than not, they'll be running away from the Killer and hoping the come across a pallet or window. That's not to say that they wouldn't get any value out of it, but a slight speed boost would provide much more advantage to someone who knows what they're doing rather than someone who's aimlessly running around.
On a related note, you'd also have to consider the more readily available options, like Sprint Burst. Being a Meg perk, every new player can easily gain access to it. The two are exclusive, since MFT wouldn't benefit you since Sprint Burst would make you exhausted, so you'd have to pick one or the other. When you put the two effects side by side, MFT doesn't look as appealing unless you've been around for a while and know what even a small % speed increase can do. Sprint Burst gives a massive boost of speed and gives them a major head start, meanwhile MFT gives them only a slight speed boost and only while they're injured. For someone who doesn't really know where they're going when they get chased, that massive head start will probably help them far more than a small speed boost.
But beyond all of that, we can't let something like a new player's reliance on a perk prevent us from balancing it in the majority of matches. As much as first impressions matter, if it causes problems elsewhere, we still need to be able to deal with those problems.
I am in total agreeance with the last point, though. If you only use something because it's strong, you should not be surprised when it eventually gets adjusted. Becoming reliant on powerful things might help you win in the short term, but will probably make things harder on your in the long term.
But see this is one of my problems with you guys that's always IGNORED. When it comes to killers... You nerf top down. You take the experience of the LITERALLY best players of the game and nerf accordingly. I have almost 1K hours split between PC, ps4 & ps5 and still can't solo blaze everyone with Nurse. Her nerf was because of the god nurses.
When it comes to survivors, it's buff bottom up. MFT is clearly a problem for players that have been playing your game long enough to understand it. (I've been here since Myers. I bought the game because of Myers.) MFT is still destructive for newer players when it's new player vs new player. Experienced players, especially swf can easily take this "harmless" perk and abuse it.
That is the point being made. Eruption, OG POP, etc weren't destroying new players left and what, but what happened? It was destroyed because the top level players could use it to prevent gen rush in a sense. MFT is just as destructive as METTLE OF MAN was. It would've never been in the game. You don't think it's a PROBLEM 4 or 5 of your 30+ killers can reliably mitigate this?
5 of 30 @Peanits
I also do not intend any disrespect to you or your game. I'm not here to attack you. I'm simply stating, the lifeblood of your game understand the issue.

People defend the 3% haste with their lives, but then ask the only killers not affected by it (Nurse, Blight, Spirit) to be nerfed.

We do not need another 6.1.0. That would cause more problems than it would solve. What we need however is killer specific buffs.
Clown could use 1 more bottle by default.
Pig's stealth could be a bit faster and the roar of her ambush could be delayed by a bit.
Trapper needs maps with thick grass.
Doctor could use the brown range addon as base kit.
Wraith's lunge could use a slight buff.
Myers needs a rework. There are too many things wrong with his kit to fix them all with just a buff.
Demogorgon needs an addon pass.
As does Billy. And Pyramid Head.
And Freddy needs a gun. And an addon pass. And a new base kit.
I think clown yellow gas shouldn't speed up survivors also too.
Pig I don't care didn't buy.
Trappers needs all his traps and you shouldn't be able to just follow him and disarm all his traps so easily.
Wraith needs his real lunge back and faster reappearance.
Myers is fine, especially on indoor maps
Didn't buy demo
Give Billy his old addon's but charge time don't stack.
Pyramid Head needs that buff to his power they backed off and addon pass.
Freddy Down bad

@MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:
M1 killers are usually weak, that's true. But buffing them is kinda hard. Because usually all killers will get value from it.
And there is some m1 killers with strong powers as well. Spirit, Hag, Pinhead first comes to mind. These killers are getting downs with m1 , so buffing m1 killers will make them buffed as well.
So my question is how we can buff m1 killers in general without buffing strong killers.
I think they should have those event powers we had recently. Remember the power where you could break pallets instantly but it had like some kind of cool down? I really enjoyed that event

I think it could do with a few minor tweaks, and as a controller player who can't aim for ######### I hope runner mode gets a bit of a boost, like reducing the TR to 16m or something.
But overall it looks really fun. Turrets provide meaningful counterplay without being oppressive like EMPs, more like exposing GF, and seem fun to use and play around as a survivor.
I think they should be removed from the game. Not every killer needs 1000 ways to outplay them.
